We had a wonderful meal at this excellent restaurant. Very well-prepared and exceptionally flavorful. And the quality lives up to the already excellent reviews. Deliciously tender meat. A warm welcome with friendly, personal service. Not cheap, but you really get your money's worth here.

The food, although expensive, was truly delicious. Most notably, they also offered something different, like feta cheese for vegetarians. I had the vegetarian mixed platter, which was very good.

Ate there twice and both times the food was delicious. The food was on the table very quickly. The meat is tasty and tender and you get a nice salad and delicious spiced potatoes with it. The portions are large and you definitely get value for your money. You also get ouzo as an amuse - so that is a bit less for those who do not drink alcohol. However, it is - at least on the weekend - very busy, so it is smart to make a reservation. Because of the crowds it is a bit noisy, so if you really want a place to have a good chat with friends/family it is a bit less convenient. Furthermore, a very cozy atmosphere. Without a doubt a restaurant that I would recommend and where I will come back.

Was wederom een heerlijk diner van meerdere gerechten waar we heerlijk van hebben mogen smullen. Mixed grill van verschillende soorten vlees en we zijn echt wel grote eters maar konden het niet allemaal op.....

We hebben erg lekker gegeten bij Eleni. Was al weer een tijdje geleden. Dit keer een voorgerecht en een hoofdgerecht. We namen de saganaki kefalotiri en de kalamaria. De calamari was in reepjes gesneden zodat het lekker weg eet. Goeie knoflooksaus en prima tzaziki. Het brood, althans de kleine pita’s waren helaas bijzonder hard, wat jammer is. Als hoofd hadden we Tsipoura, die net even te lang gegrild was en de Ionion Pelagos visschotel. Prima vis! Heerlijk overladen met knoflook! Heerlijk maar voor de sliptong net even teveel omdat de smaak van de tong verloren ging. Al met al heerlijk gegeten, superfijne bediening, attent en vriendelijk. Zeker geen goedkope Griek, maar wel een Aanrader!

Amazing food. Its known to locals, place is relatively busy, but uf you prebook or you’d be lucky to- you’ll be happy. Food is rich in tase, wonderfully prepared, taste amazing. Service is great, fast and helpful. Id be coming more often as this is great place to eat. Congratulations to owners.

We had a very nice meal last night, an extensive menu with something for everyone. The staff is very friendly and hospitable and keep a close eye on when someone has an empty glass. Even though it was pleasantly busy, it still retained an intimate atmosphere.

Dit was niet de eerste keer voor ons. En iedere keer is het weer héérlijk. Wij zijn bekent met Griekenland en dit is écht een avondje genieten. Een beetje Ηελλασ in Nederland 💙 Zeker een aanrader!

Hartelijke ontvangst. Inrichting wat gedateerd. Voorgerecht Tarama Salata te duur in vergelijking met andere Griekse restaurants. Lamskotelet(je)was veel bot met zeer weinig vlees. Ook de kipfilet was 2 reepjes kip. De smaak van het gerecht was wel goed. Ook een minpunt was dat het hoofdgerecht al werd geserveerd terwijl we nog aan het voorgerecht zaten, komt heel gehaast over. Hopelijk worden verbeterpuntjes ter harte genomen.

Goede en gezellige Griek. Helaas vonden wij het eten lekker maar net iets te koud, het hoort echt goed warm geserveerd te worden. Extra tzaziki besteld, wij dachten dat we de normale portie hadden gekregen, was wel wat karig voor het bedrag wat je (extra) betaalt. Wij vinden De Griek in Katwijk echt de allerbeste maar deze in Wassenaar is wel gezelliger zitten.

Easily the best Greek in the region. The food is always good, affordable and the atmosphere is always pleasant. Picking up and eating here are both highly recommended. Just had dinner here for the second time over Christmas and it did not disappoint! So if you are in the area.. I would definitely eat here.

There are no clear pictures or estimation of the portions of the food, plus not very helpful advice you will receive. The quality of the food is not satisfying compared to other Greek resturants I have been to.

De beste Griek die we tot nu toe bezocht hebben. Ambiance erg gezellig, medewerkers vrolijk en accuraat, de bediening uitstekend, Ruime keuze op de kaart ook voor het nagerecht. Het vlees van de grill sappig en smaak vol. Ook de bijgerechten van goede kwaliteit. Al met al een uitstekende avond gehad!

The best Greek we have visited so far. Very cozy atmosphere, cheerful and accurate employees, excellent service, wide choice on the menu, including dessert. The meat from the grill is juicy and full of flavor. The side dishes are also of good quality. All in all we had an excellent evening!

The food was incredibly delicious and service was great. The waiters were very attentive, I went on a date with my husband and we felt like we had privacy but if we needed something we never had to wait. Food came really quick and we got a complementary coffee at the end of our meal. The ambience in the restaurant was also great! I must comment the music was traditional Greek songs exclusively. Everything was amazing!

The atmosphere is nice and an ouzo upon arrival gives a welcome feeling. The food, especially the Moussaka, was very disappointing. Not fresh, the eggplant was missing. We had to throw it away.

Wij snappen de laaiend enthousiaste reacties niet voor dit restaurant. Wij hebben namelijk een uitermate slechte ervaring gehad en wij zijn echt de moeilijkste niet. Het ging al fout bij het bestellen van de drankjes. Wij vroegen om cola zero, echter kregen wij cola light. Hier kom je te laat achter omdat er geen flesjes op tafel worden gezet. De rijst die bij de hoofdgerechten wordt geserveerd was nog net niet koud en ook zat er geen enkele smaak aan. De kabeljauw van de grill bleek een gepaneerde kabeljauw te zijn. Dit had vermeld moeten worden, zeker met betrekking tot het rekening kunnen houden allergenen. Een van ons had een mixed grill besteld. Dit was vergane glorie met wat je vroeger aan porties kreeg. Het schoolvoorbeeld van krimpflatie. Klein voorbeeld: de lamskotelet was niet alleen klein, maar bevatte ook voornamelijk vet ipv vlees. Het bord met patat voor 4 personen was toereikend voor maximaal 2. Dan bestel je maar een extra portie en geef je aan dat het absoluut geen toereikende portie was voor 4 volwassen personen en vervolgens wordt de "extra portie" gerekend a €4. Bij afhalen zijn de porties wel toereikend omdat je per gerecht een portie patat krijgt. Vervolgens een toetje en tegelijkertijd koffie besteld en nadat de koffie en het toetje op waren werd gevraagd of dat wij een kopje koffie van het huis wilde. Deze koffie van het huis wordt meestal direct na het hoofdgerecht aangeboden, maar wij bestelden dit tijdens het bestellen van het toetje. Wij vonden het dan ook teleurstellend dat de koffie alsnog gerekend werd.

Uitermate vriendelijk en dan niet alleen één ober, nee, iedereen is daar vriendelijk. Bij binnenkomst werden onze jassen aangenomen en werden we naar een tafel begeleid. We hebben heerlijk gegeten en zelfs 2x verzocht iets te wijzigen in het bestelde menu..... geen probleem!, alles met een vriendelijke lach en.... zonder meerprijs. Na het afrekenen werden keurig onze jassen gepakt en een van de bediening hielt de deur open bij het verlaten van het restaurant. Wat een service! Kom je niet veel meer tegen. Eleni, nogmaals dank voor de leuke avond en we komen zeker nogeens terug!

You will be welcomed hospitably But I thought the food came very quickly, it was like an assembly line. The gyros was salty. The zucchini was very oily. The saganaki was very tasty. The chocolate dessert should be crispy, but was completely soft, not tasty. The other sweet Greek snacks were also not tasty. Too bad such good reviews. But I wouldn't go here again.

When you arrive at the Eleni in Wassenaar you don't expect to arrive at a top restaurant, but this is the case! Very nice and motivated staff, extensive menu and deliciously prepared dishes. The prices here are also 'normal' and we received a drink on the house upon arrival (Ouzo of course) and at the time of payment we received a drink of our choice. All really very good! And of course pleasant Greek music all evening. We will definitely come back here again!

Discovered this beautiful restaurant tonight after an invitation. What a nice atmosphere, delicious food and good service. I had the Kotopoulo Tiganaki dish and it had a very special taste, deep and intense, highly recommended! (Dish of fried chicken fillet prepared according to an authentic recipe, served in a delicate cream sauce of bell pepper, onion, garlic and parsley) 08-11-2024 Tonight we had dinner with 8 people by invitation in memory of 'our Peter' Another delicious dish with top service. The Christos Platter with Chicken, tenderloin, lamb from the oven with red wine sauce and gyros in curry sauce was a real delight!

Excellent! I thought I was not a big fan of Greek food until I came to Eleni. I was there for the company event, so it was a lot of people, and I'd like to come again and experience it without the big crowd. But despite the mass of orders, everything was excellent - from entrées, to the salad, to the main course of meat and the authentic deserts with amazing ice cream. Attention to detail for food is superb. Can't recommend it enough and looking forward to visiting Eleni again. Updated: went again a year later and had an amazing experience once more. We had Chef's special, it's very meat-based so be aware! But it was so good, enjoyed every bit. One of these to share for two people is a lot and enough for a meal. Maybe a light appetizer with it, but not much more. The desert was amazing again - the Eleni baklava collection with ice cram and whipped cream. Highly recommended.

Nice and good Greek restaurant. We had dinner on Sunday at 17:30 and the place was crowded. Nevertheless, the food was given to us quite soon and was very tasteful. Recommended.

Price/quality: insufficient Small portions, a bowl of extra tzaziki was 7.50 euros, Mixed Grill was very little. There was one bowl of salad for two people. Service: mediocre Severely understaffed and the three ladies were running really fast. Lots of rushing and running through the restaurant. Lots of respect for these ladies - that's why a star. As guests, we could not eat the food in peace and quiet. Atmosphere: mediocre/fair Very noisy. The tables and chairs are far too close together. Little to no privacy. For a Greek restaurant, the portions were extremely small and therefore indirectly imbalanced the price/quantity ratio. A missed opportunity. I sincerely hope that the organization can and will do something with this feedback. This is to optimize quality.

Heerlijk gegeten. Wel gereserveerd en dat bleek nodig voor een zaterdag. Lekkere pikilia, heerlijke geflambeerd hoofdgerecht, grote portie. Waanzinnig liefdes toetje. Kortom geslaagd etentje, zeker voor herhaling vatbaar :-)

We went to Greek restaurant Eleni in Wassenaar for our daughter's birthday. Super tasty food and you get plenty of food. staff are friendly.

Went here twice during our stay. The food was only eclipsed by the warm and friendly welcome of the staff, all at a very reasonable price. Packed with both locals and tourists, which tells you all you need to know. A special thank you to the owner as well, who even managed to get the kids smiling.

If you are looking for genuine Greek food, I recommend it 1000. I have tried almost all the Greek restaurants in the Netherlands but this particular one reminded me of Greece 🙏
