beautiful little spot for brunch, we ordered the shakshuka and it was incredible, best shakshuka i’ve ever had! the service was incredible and the atmosphere is cosy, subtle and warm.

Waited in a queue for 40 minutes to be seated outside in the cold (blankets were provided). Staff were friendly, speedy and efficient despite being very busy. Food was okay but after waiting for so long felt a bit shortchanged with the seating. Would recommend for breakfast, but only if you are happy to wait/sit outside.

We came here for brunch on our final day in Amsterdam, there was a small queue but it went down relatively fast. We sat outside by the canal, which was nice. The food is on the slightly more expensive side, but the ingredients tasted very fresh. Overall, would recommend.

What an absolutely sooper dooper place. They don't take reservations and when I turned up it was very busy, but they were happy to sit me outside for ten minutes with a hot cup of char until a table became free. They were very busy but even so, with the attentive service my order was taken quickly and turned up in good time. Fantastic quality ingredients meant my fry up tasted great. All-round perfection but a special mention for the sparkler, so tangy and fruity. If you come here you'll soon want to return to the lovely cosy atmosphere

I had a disappointing experience at the restaurant. The hostess was extremely rude, insisting that everyone cross to the other side of the river despite the cold and rainy weather. It was an unpleasant and unwelcoming situation.

Egg bendit was great. It was the best breakfast we had in Amsterdam. Since most places were closed on New Year's Day, we waited in line for half an hour, but it was really worth it.

We went for breakfast having read the reviews. They were right. This is a great place to eat. We chose by looking at the neighbouring tables plates but I think that we had the Dutch breakfast. Eggs, ham, cheese, sourdough. I added mushrooms, a huge portion, and gathering, there's we have eaten. Brilliant presentation, brilliant taste. I eish that they served larger cups of coffee. You can tell how good this is by the fact that people queue for most of the day to get in.

One of the best places for breakfast that I have ever been. We had a full English breakfast and also one with salmon that I don’t remember the name (but really good). I’d also highlight the homemade drinks. The hot white chocolate with lavender was as goos as a hug! Note: they are a very small place, be patient if you have to wait.

Came here for brunch and boy were they busy! It’s a small place that only had 2 servers who were very busy. We waited around 15 minutes for a table. The food and drinks were delicious. We were 3 people and the scones, Dutchman and Vegan Breakfast were enough for us, all delicious. I knocked off 1 star because we were seated at a very small round table right by the door, and was very cold everytime someone came in or left (which was quite often as the servers were often rushing in and out to serve the outdoor diners).

Great lil cafe/bistro full English breakfast available 😋 was delicious and the staff speak very good English. Worth the wait but was seated as soon as possible.

Absolutely amazing place! Both the service and food were fantastic, the lemonade was stellar and the coffee was wonderful. I loved it here and am looking forward to my next visit. The prices are a bit steep but the sheer friendliness and food make it worth it.I had the English breakfast, a limonade and a cappuccino. I paid around 30 euros for that.

So small and crowded. The place has a funny smell . Shakswaka was average and over priced for the quality. It was tomato sauce 😩. You can find it at other places with better quality.

Lovely food as always but we have been coming here for years as they used to do the best vegan fry up in Amsterdam! They recently changed the menu and we were very disappointed that the vegan “full english” option was removed. There is a vegetarian option but they don’t allow replacements which makes it expensive for only three quarters of the ingredients. Please bring back the vegan breakfast option! The queue is always long so be prepared to wait 45mins-1h in peak periods.

Since you can't make a reservation, you have to be quick. But it's definitely worth it, the food and drinks were delicious. Price-performance ratio was also right and the staff was very friendly!

I went to this place during my holiday in Holland with my family The restaurant does not have many seats, but it is still comfortable and intimate The furnishings are pleasant, and the environment is very nice Excellent service, friendly and cheerful staff The menu is quite varied, land and sea dishes, traditional and revisited recipes are offered, the quality of the raw materials is excellent We did a mix, also treating ourselves to dessert We had a very good time

I had read many positive reviews and was happy to be impressed still. There was a queue to get in but staff were friendly and you could tell they prided themselves on taking care of everyone. We tried various dishes and drinks and everything was amazing. Loved the hash browns, very different and very tasty. They also make fresh juices and really good coffee.

This was a lovely breakfast spot slightly on the expensive side so if your looking for cheap not for you but the price reflects the quality your getting homemade hashbrowns we're a real treat and the breakfast was accompanied by freshly squeezed orange juice lovely staff too

I wouldn't recommend the restaurant, Al-Saraha. We ordered shakshuka and toast with eggs, and frankly, I forgot The name of it is not recommended at all and it is not delicious, but the shakshuka is delicious. We waited for more than 40 minutes to enter. For information, the eyes outside the restaurant are on the street, and there are cars in the restaurant, slow service. -🇸🇦

Super bad service, disrespectful, they are incompetent of managing the seating even on regular days. Avoid if you care about your time and want to have a nice experience

This have a slightly different menu compared to the one in kaizergraht and also all as good :). the waitress delivery speed and coordination of customers are commendable. Perfect sunday brunch again...

Amazing food, right next to the canals. Due to the restaurants popularity there is always a big queue of people waiting to be seated. Definitely worth the waiting time though.

I chose the restaurant based on a recommendation, and the first time we couldn't sit down due to the crowd. The second time I sat outside and the weather was nice. I chose the shakshuka dish and it was good, except for the large amount of tomatoes in it. I think the other options I saw on the tables around me were better. The service was excellent and fast.

The food was perfect, excellent combination of flavors. Very polite staff and fast service. You had to wait 15 minutes because the place was full, but it was worth it.

I didn't like it at all, I don't like the reputation. The food is very ordinary. The service is slow and the knives are not sharp. Oh God, they cut the food. Hahaha. Our private parts are in our hands and we are cutting. Honestly, I will never try again.

The selection and food were excellent. You have to try the PANCAKES there! The service staff was quick and friendly. The restaurant, like almost all in Amsterdam, was tiny and cramped. We were lucky and didn't have to wait (Tuesday around 9:30 a.m.).

We enjoyed a delicious full English breakfast for 20 Euros each. The mustard costs extra. Staff is very friendly and caters to customers's wishes. Inside it tends to get crowded soon after opening and when the cooking in the kitchen is in full swing, it starts to get somewhat noisy.

I was encouraged by recent positive reviews and planned a mid-week lunch with a friend. I arrived first and asked for a table, was told to wait a few minutes so I stood outside next to it. Then I was told to go across the street and wait there by the sign even though I was the only person waiting and there was no line… didn’t really like being told where to stand when it didn’t make a difference. My friend arrived, we were told to come in and sat down, ordering some drinks first. My pumpkin spice latte was really nice. Then we both ordered the breakfast quesadilla. We got it surprisingly quickly. When I started eating it I noticed it smelled weird and something had an off taste… I concluded it was the fried egg, it tasted like it was laying on an old damp towel and my friend confirmed her’s tasted weird too so we left them out. Ate the rest but was slightly concerned. After about an hour I got an upset stomach and realized the food was just off. Try at your own risk, we definitely won’t be going back.

We randomly stumbled upon this place when looking for a coffee to drink. Not only we found a cosz drink (it was a pumpkin spice latte) but we also entered a charming and appetizing place. The dishes at our neighbors’ looked incredible! They also display an environmental concern on the first page of their menu, which was nice to read!

The Food was really nice, there were a lot of different Variation and the Service was really nice. They werte really friendly and let us frei really comfortable

The half hour wait was worth it. It was busy and for good reason. The food was superb. Fresh, warm and spicy. The scones and shakshuka are highly recommended. And you can also take a fork to your neighbors. You are sitting nice and close to each other. Still, we will definitely come back when we are in the area.

When we arrived there was a bit of a que although it moved very fast. Super cute and cozy atmosphere. My husband and I both enjoyed our meals a lot! I had the posh beans and my husband had the dutchman and they were both mouthwatering. I highly recommend this spot for a day you are looking to take your time and relax and enjoy delicious food.

Tried the Chef’s Spicy Eggs on Toast and Veggie Breakfast—both were excellent! The eggs had a perfect spicy kick, and the veggie dish was fresh and flavorful. Friendly service and cozy vibe - right next to canal! 🥳. Highly recommend for a tasty start to the day!

Lots of places in Amsterdam will do a “full English”, but this is as close to the real deal as you’ll get. There’s usually a queue out the door at the weekends, and for good reason.

Food: We had the vegetarian breakfast which was the best we’ve ever had. I had the fried eggs that were perfectly cooked for a runny centre for dipping my doorstop toast (delicious bread) with butter into. My partners scrambled eggs were delicious too. The home made hash brown was crispy and tasty, the best I’ve had. Staff: Super friendly, speedy, English speaking. Seating: Tables inside and outside, inside tables are more compact. We sat inside to avoid any chance of smelling smoke. Drink: I had the mango and pineapple juice with ice. Very refreshing and came with fresh mint leaves. Cost: Our breakfasts were €18 to €19 euros each (October 2024). Worth it considering how delicious everything was.

Definitely worth the wait to get a table for brunch - the queue moves fairly quickly. Excellent range of brunch items and quick service, the food was excellent and some interesting choices available.

I had a disappointing experience with my recent food order. Our order was delayed by 30 minutes, and when we inquired about the status, it seemed like they had completely forgotten about it. We noticed other tables that arrived after us were receiving their orders before we did. Despite our questions, the staff did not provide a clear update and instead made excuses about being busy. They informed us that our order would take another 10 minutes without offering any apologies. Overall, customer service was frustrating. New update: they apologized eventually and also removed the drinks from the bill which was much appreciated

Overrated. Nothing special, the eggs Benedict were not runny, they were more of hard boiled eggs. A bit disappointing for the rating it has.

Honestly, the most delicious place you can taste eggs Benedict is that shakshuka is fantasy, but if they change the bread that comes with it and make it the same bread as Benedict, it will turn out to be something fabulous. I forgot the name of the juice, but its ingredients (pomegranate, ginger and orange) are delicious and the atmosphere is amazing👍🏻

We chose it because the number of points and comments was high. Although the plates were beautiful, I thought they were lacking. The staff are friendly and it's a sweet place by the canal. However, we have been to much better brunch spots, I don't think we would choose them again. As in many places, you may have to wait a bit in line if it is busy, but the service is quite fast.

This time I ordered iced Americano coffee and DutchMan. DutchMan is composed of bread, two half-boiled poached eggs, cheese, ham, sesame leaves, etc. The half-boiled poached eggs surprisingly don't have an eggy smell, which makes me, who doesn't like half-boiled eggs, find them delicious. The bread part is also amazing. It's chewy and you can taste the aroma of bread. It's super delicious. The iced American style is a big cup with a lot of ice cubes. I like it very much. Sitting on the roadside and enjoying it is completely the enjoyment of life. Although the price is relatively high, it is completely worth it.

this place has the best view and brunch/breakfast. I think there scones with jam and clotted cream are a must try.
