I would like to specially thank Claudia for her service and support! The food is delicious and the service is amazing. There was a queue and the place is small so we wanted to stop but the woman insisted we wait and arranged a table for us and the stroller for the baby + when we left it was raining heavily so she made us wait in a better place until it calmed down. This kind of service makes you come back a million times ❤️

Spoiler: you need to wait outside to get a spot but hold on, do it, its worth it. I don’t know if I had better eggs Benedict in my entire life (they were so good I didn’t catch a photo of them). The place is very cozy and homy. And the staff is amazing.

This cozy little spot took about 20 minutes to get a table, but it was totally worth it! It’s a fantastic place in the lovely city of Amsterdam, with a unique vibe that really shines through in its quality and taste. The eggs Benedict are amazing, Buddha’s tea is super flavorful, and those pancakes (which I totally forgot to snap a pic of) were delicious!

I came here for a brunch ,the restaurant is a bit cozy so be prepared to wait in queue if come at popular time .I had american style benedict which was delicious and service was quick and friendly.

Don't go there hungry; go hungry. I waited in the cold by the canal for more than 20-25 minutes. (The waiting area is across from the shop). I ordered the English breakfast, which wasn't bad. I should check out their other branches. They have 2-3 more locations.

Fine tuned to British taste buds for any homesick tourists. In spite of that the brunch was excellent, filling, delicious and well balanced. Great choice and on e of the better sources of tea in the city. It's tiny so be prepared to wait. Huge respect to the staff that capably handled all the rude customers.

This is a great breakfast place. We came by on our last morning before boarding a river cruise ship later in the day. We both had the classic Benedict but they have a good selection of other Benedicts and other items as well. Ours was excellent. The place was crowded. We got here right before several others came by. We had a small wait. It's a small place but there are several tables inside and more outside. Because it was raining, we sat inside but the outdoor seating, right beside the canal would be great. Great service.

The service was just as impressive-the staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The food was amazing. The girl who served us was very friendly and fast. The place was crowded so I guess booking can be a good idea. There are vegetarian options and lactose free options. The menu offers big plates for brunch which can be considered a lunch. Matcha latte with oat milk was supe good. It's in front of the canal so nice view outside

Super breakfast!!! Given the excellent reviews, we decided to try this place for breakfast. It offers a wide selection, from sweet to savory. We had truly excellent royal eggs: poached eggs covered in cheese on a bed of salmon. The carrot cake was also delicious. Not to be missed...

10/10 fantastic experience. The food was great and not too pricy for the location and the portions were quite big too. The menu is small but the dishes are really well made with locally sourced ingredients and the staff is an utter joy! The service was incredible and the atmosphere was great. One small downside is that the place is quite small so it might get a bit crowded/ you may need to make a reservation.

Wonderful brekkie with super friendly service! Tables by the canal and it gets busy even on a weekday. Eggs were cooked perfectly and sour dough is toasted just right. Coffee is not the best I’ve had but standard with typical European prices.

We went here on a saturday morning and it was quite full. Be prepared to wait 10-20 min depending on the line. We wanted to sit outside but there was no place. You can also not make reservations it is walk-in only. For the food we ordered english breakfast and something like eggs royale(one with salmon). I liked the english breakfast it was very filling but the home made bread really disappointed me. I also believe the dish could have been more flavorful. Eggs royale was good.

Cute little cafe that doesn't take reservations and only accepts walk-ins. Great food, well made and nicely presented. Good coffee, too. It's quite popular so come early.

Great location and such a friendly staff

The cafe is cosy and the service was initially very prompt and friendly. The food and coffee was just what I expected, was reasonably quick to come out and of good quality. Why have I knocked a few marks off…. Because when it came time to pay she put the machine in front of me which prompted me to tip, I clicked no tip (not because I thought the food and service were bad but because I don’t like encouraging the tipping culture in countries where it isn’t expected and people earn a living wage) and when she noticed I didn’t tip she tore off the receipt, dropped it, turned her back then walked off in a huff.

It's a shame. I was eager to try the breakfasts I saw in the reviews. However, my partner, who is on a strict diet as an athlete in training, asked if it was a problem if she ate her own food and would only have a glass of plant-based milk. They simply gave us a negative response, not even bothering to ask or try to reach an agreement. Terrible customer service.

Good location and decent breakfast

My dish was eggs with mushrooms. The dish was big and filling, enough for two people, but it was very, very normal. I see people ordering more pancakes, they might be delicious, but I haven't tried them.

This is a super cute little cafe! The coffee was wonderful! The eggs Benedict was a bit odd as it wasn't served on an English muffin, but the hash browns were some of the best that I've ever had! It was definitely on the pricey side, but I would still go back for sure! Our server was really nice and she did a good job.

Every time we’re in Amsterdam, our family makes it a point to visit Greenwoods in Singel for breakfast. It’s hands-down the best breakfast we’ve had in Europe! There’s always a line, so come prepared to wait, but it’s absolutely worth it. I would give Greenwoods more than five stars if I could. Their Full English Breakfast, Eggs Benedict, and Shakshuka are all highly recommended.

Our server Brian was amazing. Actually he was kind of like superman effortlessly serving the entire crowd on his own! The food & drinks were perfect (great selection of teas too)and the view of the canal exceptional!

Du choix dans les plats proposés même s’il manque du « vert » pour moi, un accompagnement salade ou plus de legumes aurait rehaussé l’assiette. Prix entre 15/18€. Un peu d’attente car la salle et la terrasse sont petites. Service rapide.

The food was less than good (I had shakshuka, which had tiny two eggs in it and the tomatoes and peppers tasted extremely sour and watery at the same time). The tea we ordered was ok but we were not offered any sugar with it at all. The service was not great too and as soon as we put our forks and glasses down, we were asked if we wanted to pay (it seemed like the waitress was trying to empty the table and get the new people who were already waiting in the queue as soon as possible).

A very nice, pretty little place with good, generous cuisine. A welcoming smile, professional, and fast service despite the crowds. The dishes are very well presented, tasty, and generous.

I’ve been to Greenwoods a few times and I usually like it a lot: cosy atmosphere, high-quality produce, nice outdoor seating when the weather’s good. It’s generally the best non-tourist spot in Amsterdam for a full English breakfast (or Scottish, more accurately, since the brand is in Edinburgh and Amsterdam). But my latest visit with a friend from out of town was a disappointment. My meal was cold on the underneath and the chef set fire to something in the kitchen, which was certainly an exciting distraction for a few minutes. I didn’t complain because it felt like hassle and I was lacking the energy to interact, plus the staff were already dealing with the minor fire situation. I’ll think twice before going back (then probably go back anyway, because it’s normally really good).

We went to try the famous French toast and it’s not on the menu anymore. Big let down. The food was good. Lattes were very good. Service was great- but wow the waitresses are overworked and way busier than they should be. Overall it was good but what a bad choice to remove that French toast from the menu! I probably wouldn’t return unless they added it back.

I got the special, the chorizo eggs Benedict, and my friend got the Dutchman. Both were fantastic. Coffee was great and the service was very attentive and sweet. Come here

The place is cozy, but the food is average. We liked the pancakes, but... they need to pay attention to cleanliness and put hats on their hair because her hair was flying onto our plate.

This was my favorite meal we had in Amsterdam! If you are a sweets person, you MUsT get the summer berry pancakes!! Everything was incredible and great service too.

It was succulent, flavoursome, and relied upon balance in a way you don’t find for a cafe staple normally. It was one of the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. Massive statement, but completely verifiable; just come give it a try. The lava cake was decadent and rich, the pancakes made my heart sing. I’ll stop now because I could otherwise go on forever. Great venue. Great service. Utterly outstanding food. Nice work, Greenwoods. You made a fan out of this Aussie traveller.

On my way to the Rijksmuseum, I wanted to grab some breakfast and came across Greenwoods Singel on Google Maps – the good reviews were a reason to visit – and my penchant for English breakfasts was the deciding factor. The café is relatively inconspicuously located on a canal and was quite busy at the time of my visit – I had to wait a few minutes. The line after me did get a bit longer, but never so long that I had to wait too long. Most guests were seated very quickly, and the waitress's estimates were always quite accurate. I had already decided on the full English breakfast, with poached eggs and toasted white bread. It arrived after a very short wait, was delicious, and very filling. I was really impressed with this café and would gladly return next time I'm in the area!

Tried a few full English breakfast in Amsterdam and this one is unbelievable really tasty sausage bacon mushrooms eggs all cooked to perfection can highly recommend thank you for a great start to the day

As usual top notch food this is my regular when I’m in Amsterdam. As usual there was a line outside waiting to get in, people don’t expect to get in here for at least 30mins. We waited in the cold for 45mins just to be seated outside which was annoying also my friends wasn’t happy, but I told them just wait till you eat it and when they did, all was forgiven lol. I used to come in the past and the food was better. This time the food was lacking flavour, it missed a touch of love. And it's not cheap. We had a vegetarian set and shakshuka. I can say that all the ingredients on the plate of the vegetarian menu were missing some flavouring, some spice, some herbs, I kept adding salt and pepper and still not enough. I wonder where they buy those ingredients.

This was by far my best dining experience when visiting Amsterdam. This cafe is perfectly located alongside the canal. It was very clean inside with a beautiful vintage interior. When I arrived at midday it was packed, however this did not stop a staff member finding me a a cosy and comfortable place to sit. The service was impeccable and genuine with warm hearted and down to earth staff. The food was fresh and delicious. When I finished my lunch I requested a coffee to go and when I received said coffee and the bill, I saw they had not added it to the bill and that a cute message had been written on the lid. For an amazing filling lunch and beautiful coffee I spent €25. When I return to Amsterdam in the future I will definitely be returning!(more than once)

The shakshouka was okay but i absolutely hate the egg benedict, it's too buttery and feels nothing like an egg benedict. The service is a bit slow there is only two nice waitresses and the place is packed

What a beautiful evening! We were lucky to get a table outside on the terrace. The setting sun, warm breeze, and soft music created the perfect vibe. I had the seafood linguine and my partner chose the grilled chicken with lemon sauce. Both dishes were fresh and packed with flavor. We even got a complimentary glass of wine. It was such a nice touch.

Quite touristy place, serving pretty heavy savoury dishes, but a nice place never the less! The restaurant is small, with a small terrace but the service is fast and friendly! They have a few choices in Eggs Benedict, sandwiches and other dishes and I tried the Amsterdam style one, which was very nice! They also do a high tea but you’ll need to reserve that in advance.

The food was too good to leave it for a second to take a photo! The pulled chicken brioche is unreal, very tasty! All of us loved our dishes.. Thank you for such a good meal! Made my day!
