Relaxing place. Had a lovely breakfast on the terrace. Extensive menu with various savory and sweet dishes. Service and food were fast!

Our order was for two people: a banana cake and pancakes, which were very nice. We also had a dish of eggs with halloumi, potatoes, and mushrooms, which was also delicious. The juice was good, but very sour. Their coffee, the cortado, was also good. Overall, it's definitely worth trying. The waitress, Nazaret, was very helpful. Our bill came to €54.

The bill came out different than what was on the menu, and it's not hygienic!

If you missed thick American pancakes with maple syrup (for the benefit of those who are less connected to Dutch pancakes) - you've come to the right place The coffee is also excellent We ordered Eggs Royal Eggs Florentine A seasonal fruit bowl 5 pancakes with maple and banana on the side And scrambled eggs on the side It was excellent in every way The kids devoured everything and praised the Hollandaise sauce Great service And a great atmosphere Come on!

Food and coffee were delish!!! Service was fantastic and attentive even with how busy it was on a Wednesday AM! Sasha was lovely and ran the hostess stand like a sergeant (a really really sweet one)!

Hidden gem also for someone with a gluten free diet

Our experience was awesome. We didn’t expect anything special, but the food and service were really good and the size of portion was huge.

We went to Bakers & Roasters for breakfast, and unfortunately we had a very bad experience. First, we found a hair in our breakfast, which was very unpleasant. In addition, when we paid the bill in cash, the waitress with curly orange hair and shaved sides gave us a torn banknote as change. When we politely asked if she could replace it, she responded, “Money is money,” in a rude manner. She then snatched the note from us, and when she came back, she handed us the replacement very aggressively. The waitress treated us with a very rude and disrespectful attitude throughout the interaction.

The portions are pricy, but big and delicious. Loved it!

Edited: used to be a good experience Now the staff who showed me our table had some sort of attitude. When i ordered a batch brew coffee, it was half full. When i asked, they told me it's served that way. Don't know if this is a regular experience or just a bad coincidence. Probably, they will be an optional choice for me next time rather than my first pick. Food still tastes good, especially the brisket sandwich Initial review: A very pleasant experience.. I was looking forward to going to Bakers and Roasters for Brunch, because I had read the best reviews. Unfortunately, however, my choice did not reward me. The raw materials and cooking were excellent, they were just not to my taste. I chose the Navaho eggs that included pork. I said opportunity to get protein. Unfortunately, although delicious, it was quite spicy for me. The pineapple that it included did not manage to cool it down enough. We did not wait long and this store does not require a reservation. There is another Bakers and Roasters store in Amsterdam. The drink I got was fine. Attention, it closes at 15:00!

A-MA-ZING brunch here ! Warm welcome and fast service. The blueberry pancakes, the scrambled eggs, the carrot cake are amazing. My friends and I came back a second time to enjoy food ! I highly recommend it. Love the playlist though

What a lovely place this is for a hearty breakfast. The atmosphere in the restaurant is incredibly pleasant, and the presentation of the food is truly a feast for the eyes. Everything tasted fresh and was well-prepared. The small bowl of fresh fruit, in particular, with that beautiful half passion fruit on top, was highly recommended. I will definitely be back here soon.

This place really stood out with a creative menu, fresh ingredients, and a great mix of sweet and savory options. We tried one of their specials, which came with fresh bread, perfectly prepared eggs, bacon, avocado, and a side of blueberry pancakes. I really liked that it wasn’t just a typical breakfast plate — it gave you a little bit of everything, with the savory flavors from the eggs and bacon balanced by the sweetness of the pancakes. We also tried another dish with avocado, fresh greens, and flavorful toppings, and everything was prepared beautifully. The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the presentation was excellent. Their drink options were also great. They had a nice variety of coffees along with fresh juices, and the one we tried was very refreshing. The cake display looked amazing with so many different choices — unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to try them this time, but they definitely looked worth coming back for. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant had a fun, energetic brunch atmosphere. Overall, between the food quality, creative options, drinks, and service, Bakers & Roasters was one of our favorite breakfast stops in Amsterdam. This is the type of brunch spot I'd go back to again and again if I lived close. The food was excellent. The service was great. The coffee was quality. There are no reservations at this location, but they do have a walk up list that you can join online ahead of time. We went on a Monday late morning, and we waited less than 20 minutes for a table.

Review just based on kiwi breakfast. We went at opening hours. The staff was pleasant and nice! The food was good but I was slightly disappointed (mainly due to high expectations based on previous reviews). Mainly the potatoes that felt dry and old while being there at early hours. The rest of the dish was nice, the eggs perfectly poached! My friend took the B & R special and was entirely happy with the dish though!

Vibes in here were great, there’s a reason they have a link to their Spotify playlist on the menu because they have a musical genius on aux. It’s very aesthetic, all the waiters/esses are super cool and down to earth. Food is pretty good; very simple, clean, and fresh. Got the huevos rancheros & an iced latte, both of which were a solid 6.7/10. Someone in the group substituted for gluten free bread and it was genuinely good, fluffy and wasn’t grainy and didn’t fall apart so that’s a plus.

Decent Aussie-style breakfast but nothing notable. Tried the Kiwi breakfast, huevos rancheros, and banana nut French toast. The huevos rancheros surprisingly did not come with sauce, just fairly bland pico de Gallo, making this an ok but underwhelming dish. Enjoyed the flavors of the banana nut French toast but texture-wise was dense and mushy inside. Kiwi breakfast was as advertised, a filling meal, but was expensive for what it was (~28 euros for an egg + sausage breakfast plate!). To round it off, the hand drip coffee was a clean and tasty cup, didn't try the espresso based drink. Overall a decent breakfast wouldn't go out of my way (or certainly wait in line) to return. Note that they do not have air conditioning and have poor circulation, would avoid on sweltering hot days.

An amazing brunch spot. I had the eggs with Salmon and avocado - so delicious! Enjoyed the brunch so much. My friend had the pulled pork and her words were “I have not had something this good in a while”. So then you must know just how good the food was!

Very nice atmosphere, and a great brunch. We had the Kiwi thing, and the benny thing, and both were top quality. Big pirtions. Plus two cofees and it came to 55.

Happy to have found this local-favorite brunch spot in the cute De Pijp neighborhood! All around five stars for the lovely staff, yummy food and great vibes ;) I recommend going early in the morning before lunch hour hits as they tend to get crowded quickly.

Absolute Brunch Perfection in Amsterdam! If you're looking for an incredible brunch spot in Amsterdam, Bakers & Roasters is an absolute must-visit. We wandered in on a bustling weekend without a reservation, and the place was understandably packed. But instead of turning us away, the incredibly helpful and smiling staff immediately found a creative solution. They offered us seats at the high chairs by the bar, which turned out to be the absolute best decision! It gave us a fantastic view of the lively atmosphere and great service. The food and drinks completely stole the show: Pulled BBQ Pork with Avocado Mango Salsa: A flawless balance of savory, smoky meat paired with a bright, refreshing, and tropical sweetness. Banana Nut Bread French Toast: This was completely out of this world. Rich, perfectly textured, and a total dream for anyone with a sweet tooth. Flat White: Smooth, beautifully extracted, and expert-level coffee that rounded out the entire meal perfectly. The energy here is amazing, but it’s the hospitality that truly sets it apart. Even during a hectic weekend rush, the team didn't lose their warmth or their smiles. 10/10 recommend—just grab a spot at the bar if you can! Definitely come back again on our next visit to Amsterdam!!!!!

Go there the food was amazing, well put together and delicious. A cute vibe maybe a bit to trendy but very cute. You schould definitely reserve a place befor you go otherwise you have to stand in line for some time but not more than 10‘.

We also loved the outdoor area: spacious, relaxed, and not packed with tables like many other places. Great batch brew coffee too. Overall, 10/10 experience.

I went to a restaurant and showed them a picture, asking if they had the food, but they said they didn't. Then, right there on the table next to us, that exact dish was served. It was absurd, and I wondered if it was racism. We were the only Asians at our table at the time, but I was just upset and couldn't eat, so I ended up leaving everything behind.

I definitely do not recommend it. You can eat at a much better restaurant for this price. It's absolutely not worth it, especially for brunch. The plates are very empty. The service is slow. And there's a wait in line, which isn't worth it. A complete disappointment.

Hello, I went to this establishment for brunch and was very disappointed with the service. The waitress was unpleasant and refused us access to the terrace, saying there were no more seats, even though other people were allowed outside right after us. Once we were seated, we also felt rushed to leave: the waitress was clearing the table before we had finished eating, which was very awkward. I felt I was treated differently because of my background, which is very hurtful and unacceptable. I therefore advise against this establishment for anyone who wants to be treated with respect. Never again.

Friends loved this place. The food is not bad, typical brunch fare. My huevos rancheros were pretty good. My hubby's pancakes just average. The service was indifferent and aloof. They have this stupid electronic wait list you get to with a QR code. If you are traveling and have no Internet service, you are screwed. They make you wait outside, even on a weekday when the place was half empty. Everyone working here seems to be GenZ, so you can imagine the communication skills. If you like being silently judged, then this is your place.

Bad service. We put our name in the waiting list and we waited for an hour. Every ten minutes the waitress told us that we just need to clean a table or were still waiting for a table to be free. We were five people and a group of four people registered after us but the waitress let them in before us. The waitress let in many groups of two when she could have saved two tables for us. She kept lying to us when clearly she could’ve let us in sooner.

The service was super friendly, and the breakfast was worth the price. We spent 44 euros per couple and left very satisfied; we chose B&R.

Definitely an overrated restaurant. The flavors are average — you can easily find better food almost anywhere in the world right now. The oat milk latte was ice cold even though we specifically asked for it extra hot. Also, when serving sourdough bread, they should provide a knife that’s actually suitable for cutting sourdough.

One of the best brunches I have ever had. Recommend the Navajo Eggs: BBQ pulled pork, avocado, poached eggs, mango salsa, hollandaise sauce. Absolutely worth the wait. Staff moved the line along as fast as possible.

It was close to the Van Gogh Museum, so I was able to eat right away without having to wait. After eating in Germany, which is notorious for its food, I was very satisfied with my visit to Amsterdam. The staff were also very friendly.

Very high prices for this food. Very bad service. The coffee is terrible and not tasty. We were brought Benedict on which there was 2 bacon and 2 eggs and it already looked poor for 15 euros. And it was very not tasty, my portion was larger but not tasty, the bacon was dry, the bread too. They didn't even bring water, although everyone else had water. They forgot about my coffee. The establishment left bad memories. We ate because we were hungry. But I would not recommend this establishment.

I have been to a lot of brunch places in Amsterdam but this is definitely one of my favorite or maybe my new favorite in town. The pulled pork is just amazing. We went there around 1pm on a working day and waited outside for around 10 mins, which is okay. Will definitely come back.

The servers are super friendly. The food arrives quickly and is excellent. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the decor is lovely. I recommend it for a great brunch.

Wasn’t a big fan of the food. The B&R lacked a spread on the bread and the avocado was too ripe to the point of being gone bad. The banana shake was really good. Extra points for having a virtual queue!

The B&R Special and Homemade Granola were delicious, and for the first time I was able to sit down without waiting in line.

This place is a hidden gem — I can’t recommend it enough. I didn’t catch her name, but the waitress who greeted me on arrival was lovely and clearly enjoys what she does. The only reason I’m not giving it 5/5 is simply the price. I paid around €35 for a vanilla milkshake (which I really enjoyed), a homemade iced tea (not quite my taste — maybe skip this one), and, if I remember correctly, the eggs royale. I’ve been to quite a few breakfast and brunch spots during my stay in Amsterdam, but Bakers & Roasters has been the standout for me. Should I return to Amsterdam, I’ll definitely be coming back here.

We arrived and a had a little wait once we joined the virtual waiting list, but that was okay as we just walked around the area for a bit. The staff were lovely and food was great. They have good gluten free options and everything is clearly marked on the menu. Only giving 4 stars as the prices were very expensive.

Why wait in line for this? The potatoes were salty, the scrambled eggs were terrible, the halloumi wasn't warm at all and was dry. (Isn't Holland famous for its cheese?) The chili sauce was so bland it didn't go well with any of the food. The uncooked avocado was the best.

Everything from A to Z is great, the coffee is also superb – not watery, nice and strong <3 Breakfast arrives quickly and tastes fantastic. The team is super friendly and works together very well. A must if you're in Amsterdam.

Unfortunately I don’t think this place is worth the hype or the price. 25€ for the Kiwi breakfast that was so overpowered by chunks of garlic, there was too much going on the plate which made this such a sickly dish. The blueberry pancakes, scrambled egg and one strip of streaky bacon were nice, but that really was it. The slab of bread was just way too thick and the avocado just felt odd on the plate. Tables are also so crammed together you can’t hear yourself think, I personally wouldn’t return.

Fantastic brunch, the coffee is very very good and we would certainly be going back. Cant fault it.
