I don't understand why there is such a stir at this place. In my opinion, the breakfasts are quite outdated, everything is very greasy, I don't see the point in standing for so long for fried eggs with fried sausage. And the poached salmon is absolutely not worth 20€, since the first time I was served it with water. It is worth adding that the cafe does not even have an alternative coffee. The place has an open kitchen and poor ventilation, so all clothes (including outerwear) smelled of food all day. It is only worth noting the staff, who, despite such a flow of visitors, were attentive and very fast.

A French nurse recommended this place, that's why I came. Everything is great, but I haven't eaten yet. I'll edit my review when I do.

We waited in line for 10 minutes around 2pm on Saturday. The staff is friendly. The tables are very tight. You sit right next to each other. I really liked the Hollandaise sauce. A bit pricey though.

Certainly the best brunch in Amsterdam, be careful it gets crowded and there is rarely room.

Quite a shocking experience to be honest for what this place claims to be. Hospitable? Everything but. Everyone made me feel like **** from the moment I entered. I live 16 years in Amsterdam, have visited tons of places and this one tops it all in terms of how rude the personnel is - just go next, you deserve better treatment as a human being. I subscribed to the waiting list, which said would take less than 10 minutes to be seated), i waited outside (i was alone in the waiting list and alone outside), and after people kept leaving the place and the 10 minutes almost passed, I entered and sat by the bar (checked first with the guy behind the bar), because it was really cold outside. How dared I. The seats at the bar are used to seat people, i should have asked (I did though) and should have waited outside. They way she talked to me, gosh, what a shock. The rest of the treatment was also terrible, with passive aggressive behavior (the waitress that served me straightforward aggressive without the passive). I am still shocked. First time in my life i did not leave tip. I finished lunch in 20 min and ran out. Never again.

The truth is that the food was spectacular. My sister shared the B&R Special, and it was a perfect brunch combo. The poached eggs went perfectly with the warm toast, and the pancakes were delicious. Furthermore, the price was very appropriate for what we received. I recommend 100%

Yo diría que este es el mejor lugar de brunch que he estado! Acabamos de visitar Ámsterdam durante el fin de semana y nos alojamos en un hotel cercano y encontramos panaderos y asadores en google maps, así que pensamos en darle una oportunidad. Vinimos por primera vez el viernes 24 de enero para mi desayuno de cumpleaños y había colas de gente afuera, lo que es una buena señal instantánea. Tienen un sistema de colas en línea donde introduces tus datos y se te da un tiempo de espera - creo que es una buena idea, incluso puedes ir a pasear mientras esperas a que se te baje el tiempo. El viernes esperamos probablemente 35 minutos que no nos importó ya que valió la pena. Incluso fuimos de nuevo al día siguiente (sábado 25) porque realmente era tan bueno y ningún otro lugar en la zona parecía tan bueno. El personal es tan encantador y claramente trabajan increíblemente duro a pesar de ser apresurado de sus pies. Durante nuestras dos visitas tuvimos la naranja recién exprimida, café con leche caliente, café helado y batidos de vainilla - todas las bebidas eran 10 / 10 , gran café y delicioso batido, probablemente nuestro favorito todavía! La comida está fuera de este mundo. El menú de brunch perfecto y mucha elección para personas con preferencias / intolerancias. Los dos tuvimos los huevos Benedict en ambas ocasiones, mis compañeros lo probaron por primera vez y a él le encantó, al igual que a mí. Los mejores huevos Benedict que he tenido en mi vida: el tocino rayado era tan sabroso y estaba cocinado a la perfección, los huevos escalfados estaban brillantemente escalfados y la salsa holandesa simplemente estaba en el lugar! El viernes añadí halloumi y el sábado añadí halloumi y chorizo, ambos maridados tan bien con el plato original. En nuestra primera visita nos llevamos a casa un pastel de terciopelo rojo y su pastel de barro de chocolate Mississippi, ambos estaban deliciosos! Pasteles muy sabrosos. Todas las porciones eran tan generosas y todo era tan buena relación calidad-precio. Planeamos ir a Amsterdam de nuevo y sin duda volveremos a ir aquí. I absolutely loved my breakfast with Mexican beans. The combination and idea were truly amazing. We went back the next day, but there was a one-hour wait. It gets really busy on Sundays between 10 and 11 am.

The reason I choose a hotel without breakfast every time I come to Amsterdam is the location. Vege brekkie plate is very good. Children also enjoy eating pancakes. The staff is always friendly. If you go early you can find a place, but normally reservations are required.

La comida sabía bien y los camareros estaban super atentos sin embargo, me dieron el desayuno vegetariano y encontré 2 pelos en mi comida, el aguacate estaba tan inmaduro que no podía comerlo y mis huevos escalfados tenían trozos de cáscara de huevo. I tried kiwi brekkie. Delicious and satisfying. The atmosphere is pleasant, the employees are friendly. I don't know about the waiting situation in high season, but I arrived around 10.30 in the morning in January 2025 and found a table easily.

Definitely the best in the city. You have to wait in line to make a reservation, but it is very difficult to have a more delicious breakfast in Europe. Therefore it is worth the wait. Try everything and the eggs are amazing! Very friendly staff, fast service

Tentamos conhecer o local em agosto de 2022, mas infelizmente não conseguimos a fila de espera num sábado estava muito longo. Mas, desta vez no inverno de janeiro de 2025 tivemos mais sorte. Chegamos e sentamos. As opções de pratos são ótimas. Recomendo a visita quanto estiver em Amsterdam. Fica na região do próximo do RijksMuseum.

A nice place for breakfast. You can have the eggs scrambled or fried, either way is good. It was nice that they brought chilli sauce separately for those who don't like spicy. We waited 10 minutes after ordering, but it was worth it. Price performance place compared to Amsterdam in general.

We got there at around 0930am on a Saturday and didn't have to wait to be seated. The pancakes were delicious. The granola bowl was okay. The yoghurt to granola ratio was off, it needed more yoghurt. Why only 3 stars? Because the service was not great. Both my drink and my food order were taken wrong. That can happen, but a gesture of good-will to make up for it would have gone a long way.

Yummy breakfast that I loved. We had to wait bout 30-40 minutes as the place was very crowded but definitely worth the wait.

Menu displayed unreadable. Knives that don't cut. At 2:45 p.m., the waitress comes by for a last call. We should order our coffee and receive it directly while we are still eating, My bacon toast was not only unsavory but also super fatty.

My partner and I came here to grab brunch and as my partner wanted to inquire about the wait time to get into the restaurant the hostess was very rude and just slammed the door in her face, RIGHT in her face. Bad bad service and bad bad manners. Don’t bother going.

Aired here today. Food was fine, nothing special about it. The bread was just very hard. We both had trouble cutting it.

I’m honestly so disappointed right now, and it’s sad because I had high expectations. The restaurant and staff are amazing, but the food really let me down—it affected the entire experience. The B&R Special came with cold eggs, and the pancakes were served without any jam. How is that even possible? I’m sorry, but there’s a lot of room for improvement here. I hope you can work on these issues because the potential is there.

It was raining so I didn't have to wait long to be seated and I ordered a long coffee and a B&R special. The plate looked as good as I expected. However, the blueberry pancake was a little raw inside. I ate all of them because I didn't want to leave any. I felt the coffee was not enough. Nevertheless, it was a nice restaurant.

The food was absolutely amazing. We shared the B&R Special and the Huevos Rancheros between the 3 of us, and loved both. We didn’t have to wait for more than 5 minutes for a table. The staff is welcoming and friendly. A must in Amsterdam!!!

Que this time was not much i waited for 10-15 min only not like usual The lady on the door was quite welcoming to some people Food is good i had the veggie brikkie breakfast which had acocados egg bread and haloumi cheese along with a spicy sauce on side along with mushrooms and potatos Was quite good and tasty I always have milkshake strawberry for a drink which is really worth it Tables were not much clean for me Service was fair but could be better as sometimes if you need a thing you have got to wait But the girl served the tables was so respectful and nice in general they just look overwhelmed and busy . I advise having more workers to solve this out and make everyone sorted quickly and have proper care on everyone Price was resonable The place is still cold even though jt is inside But not warmed enough still cold and breeze can come in not properly warmed Tables aren’t too comfortables and arrangements to accomodate more people can happen

We had breakfast here our first day in Amsterdam and it was spectacular so much so that we came a second time and it was just as good. The plates are a good size, totally worth what you pay, it's not very expensive. The staff is very attentive and friendly, they serve you quickly. I will definitely come here more times and recommend it.

There is always a long line or queue at this spot on the weekends. I finally committed to it one day and honestly, I have no clue why it has a line at all as the food was very average. I got the B&R Special. The pancakes were dry, overcooked and lacking flavor. Beyond that, can’t really go wrong with eggs and toast. But I’m not getting what about this standard brunch fare is causing such hype. On the positive side, service was super attentive and friendly.

A delicious breakfast and latte. The avocado was a perfect ripeness. The pancakes are fluffy and the bacon was nice and crispy. The service staff really stands out here and makes you really feel welcome.

The queue is very long because of its popularity. This is what a great brunch spot.

The food here was so nice. The veggie breakfast was so well made, usually I'm not a fan when there isn't some sort of fake meat alternative on a veggie breakfast, but this didn't need it. It was all so good. I got an oat milk chai latte and it was probably the best chai latte I'd ever had. The staff were really friendly and nice.

Very tasty breakfast but coffee should be better. I do not understand why they serve cappuccino with cocoa. The tables are close to each other so I had a feeling that I seat with other people.

After standing in line for about an hour, we finally got a seat and luckily the service was very quick. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.

Waited over an hour and left immediately after being seated due to our rude hostess. I understand being busy but there’s no reason to be unnecessarily rude, it seems as if this particular hostess goes out of her way to be rude. Probably what keeps her working there as I highly doubt she has an ounce of kindness in her. Think twice before going here if you are not white.

You can considering paying this place a visit (The place gets busy in the weekend, I suggest you to subscribe to the online queue 15-20 minutes in advance) 1) service is much better than the average service in Amsterdam. 2) the menu is interesting, a lot of good options for boozy brunch. I liked my milkshake with vodka, however it was a bit too sweet to my taste. Bloody Mary was ok. Coffee was mediocre. But they definitely know how to cook eggs properly. We enjoyed our scrambled eggs. Also, I would improve food presentation a bit.

They're very friendly and the food is delicious, but there are so many people that it's a bit hectic. The avocados and eggs were so fresh and delicious. They gave me a receipt for the table next to me when paying, so I think I'll have to check it carefully before paying.

I honestly expected more. This contemporary style, very popular venue boasts a good reputation but honestly it was not a 5 star experience. The staff was nice and kind but too hasty in taking away plates and especially cutlery and napkins. In the dish ordered which would be pancakes, eggs and bacon, one egg came out broken and they brought it separately. The bacon was hard as if it were from the day before and the pancakes were too raw i.e. undercooked. The price is not that low. Cappuccino + plate €20.90. Honestly, there are better solutions. I wouldn't go back

Super fresh and tasty breakfast! We ordered the Kiwi Brekkie and Eggs Florentine, along with a flat white and cappuccino. The ingredients were good quality, and each table was served with a bottle of water. The staff were polite, friendly, and cheerful, perfect for the morning vibe. Our food arrived on time. We were here around 9 am and didn't have to wait in line.

Worst line in the world, i've never seen this before.Me and my girlfriend had to wait for more than 30 min and It was a completely lose of time!! They have a QR in the entrance and they closed a online list and then you can't even summit your request. This should be change to a traditional queue like all the Life!! Not this kind of bad online queue by QR which doesn't work

I had a wonderful meal and experience at this place! The staff is very efficent, calm and collected. It is visible that their kitchen operates at a highest level. I came around 15 o’clock and place was packed, but I got my food very fast, like in 15 minutes. The thing I would like to point out though is the bread that was served with the meal. I think it is a classic dutch tiger bread, which is not my favourite, so I would add an option of choosing bread, for example: tiger/chiabatta/and gluten free option(for inclusivity).

Excellent food and vibe. Ordered the banana bread french toast and one of the breakfasts and both were great and food was quick. Only thing is that you will be waiting for a table, but you can join a virtual queue which we did on the walk there.

Ordered the Navajo Eggs, pulled pork was nicely seasoned, avocado was good as usual, mango salsa with toast bread was amazing, latte with oatmilk was perfect too, overall food was a 10/10 for me, definitely worth visiting again. Portion was great, atmosphere and service was tip top as well, great great experience.

Favourite Brunch spot in Amsterdam by far. The food is always superb & the menu has many great options & fantastic coffee. The front of house has the place organized perfectly. It's a popular spot so usually expect a short wait to get seated, scan the QR code out front & join the queue. The staff is really nice & professional. Highly recommend visiting here!

Remember to come early to reserve your table via the QR CODE. Lots of savory and sweet choices. If you want to taste both, I recommend the B&R Special with savory toast, eggs, avocado and pancakes. Regarding the prices, it's a little expensive but these are the prices charged by the city's brunches. Around fifteen euros for this dish + a drink for €6.

If you're looking for a filling meal, this is the place. It's been years since my first time here, Bakers & Roasters is one of Amsterdam institutions for brunch/lunch. I ordered the veg brekkie (price: 18 euro). The space is pretty narrow, and the tables are very close to each other. Most of the times there is some waiting time, but the service is very fast, and you are in and out within the hour. Tap water is served immediately (nice touch! Many Amsterdam places will try to sell you overpriced bottled water). The food is nice, in my case, simple and well cooked (poached eggs were perfectly cooked). I liked the spicy jelly in combination with the dish. If I need to find a flaw: probably the size of the coffee cup, quite small for my preferences, I love a large cup of coffee vs. the 120ml size of their flat white. The staff is friendly and is attentive.

Over​rate​d and pricey. Kiwi brekki is tasteless, only bacon and sausage that has a taste(salty)​. Long waiting​ for food to be served. Salmon toast is general. Navajo is flavorful.

Very good brunch, we enjoyed ourselves. However a long wait come quite early. Two very unpleasant waiters, asking where the toilets are and not understanding and speaking in a very very unpleasant tone because it bothered him to repeat me. In short, a very good atmosphere and simple cuisine and service.

It is always pleasant there. And the food and drinks are tasty and beautifully prepared. You sometimes have to wait a while before you get a spot if you have not made a reservation. And it is also a bit of a shame that no one speaks or can speak Dutch. Still highly recommended for a tasty and especially enjoyable meal/drink.

Unfortunately this place is one of the most overrated places I have ever been in Amsterdam. I tasted Kiwi and Vege brekkie .The look is much better than the taste. It is not bad but do not have big expectations. Also the coffee cup had a lipstick mark on, staff must be more careful for hygiene.

Extremely rude hostess, makes people join a waitlist, then lets other people she knows jump the Queue and get seated. Will not tell people how far they are down the waitlist and just keeps telling people to “take a walk”. Will never go back

Normally I keep my negative comments to myself, but it seemed impossible if I didn't write them. A place where everyone is a tourist and travel blogs and guides almost force you to go. There is nothing special. Service time is long. It's not brunch when you put sweet, salty and avocado on a tiny plate. At the beginning of October, since there was no heating inside and the two-way doors were opened, we had breakfast in MONTLA, feeling cold in the draft. It is never worth these prices.

unfortunately we didn’t get to try the food, the host had a terrible attitude and didn’t want to to interact with us whatsoever, there were tables outside, but she was ignoring us when we asked her to be seated there we ended up going to the manager was not apologetic and did not care about our bad experience

We had an excellent brunch at this cafe. They make very good coffee, the juice was fresh and very delicious and there is also a wide variety of juices and smoothies with original flavors. We had a very delicious toast with eggs Benedict and salmon, the pancakes were very good (a shame that there were no other classic toppings available such as chocolate/Nutella...) and a special mention for the bircher with fresh fruit, which was especially good.

Everything about this place is welcoming. Right from the colleagues who greet you to the food and the suggestions when you are spoiled for choices. A cozy place worth being a regular brunch hangout. They are also dog friendly which is a huge plus

One of the most completed and tasty brunches that I had! It was super good :) The only bad point is the waiting but the personnel was very helpful explaining what to do to be in the queue and log in the app. I completely recommend this place, and the terrace is very cozy.
