BLUEY'S Coffee & Kitchen in Zeeburgereiland/Nieuwe Diep

I wouldn’t have gone out of my way if I was in the city center. But it was lovely to find this very pleasant cafe few steps from my friend’s apartment.

Very original innovative cuisine. Very tasty. Good service, although ow when busy. Highly recommend!!!

The food is really delicious! Dishes are well balanced and have a twist. Creative in taste and presentation. It was a bit quiet and because of this it felt a bit bare and empty.

Lovely sitting at Bluey’s on the island! Tea as it should be made and really good coffee. Food: this is just right. Fresh, flavours perfectly balanced and beautiful to look at. Lovely atmosphere inside and a nice terrace. Also not unimportant, a neatly maintained and fresh sanitary facility. You feel love for the profession and the guests everywhere here. I felt very welcome, with room for a chat and everyone (smiling) laugh. Chapeau!

The best cappuccino double shots with oat milk ever!

Consistently outstanding, we visit two to three times a week. The food is always delicious and perfectly prepared, full of flavour and care. The owner and staff are incredibly warm and genuinely lovely to chat with. And the coffee? Easily the best on IJburg, without question.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, slow service, ok coffee, mediocre desserts. We ordered flat white and americano, and 3 of their tarts. It took around 20 minutes to get them on the table at 14:30 on monday when the restaurant was half empty. The crust of the tart was disappointing, ruining the taste in general. Coffee was ok so we ordered a second round and it took 20 minutes again :/ Loved the people working here though, happy faces:)

Modern brunch menu with all the trendy ingredients of this time. Don't expect a nice ciabatta with beef sausage or an omelette with fried bacon. But avocado, hummus, zaatar, poached egg etc. And super friendly service!

My favorite place for lunch in Amsterdam! The food is always good, never once of inferior quality. Delicious coffee, super tasty homemade lemonade, but also matcha and chai latte. And everything is also a feast for the eyes. Both the food and the interior! There are a lot of plants there. GO HERE PEOPLE!

Without knowing anything, I followed along and ate the avocado toast recommended by my friend, and it was so delicious. It was the best avocado toast I've ever had in my life.

Delicious food, friendly staff and good coffee. There is enough place to sit inside as well as outside when the weather is nice. The menu offers loads of options to choose from and the prices are okay. The restaurant itself is well decorated and the perfect place to meet with friends, family or colleagues for a coffee.

3.5€ for an espresso to go. Let's all act normal

A real asset! Nice thing; will be completely happy with the colors and furnishings. Have eaten a few times, thought the presentation was good, portions are ok but clearly missing something. The taste or passion is missing... is it due to the herbs or the combination of ingredients? No idea... the coffee, cakes and pies are certainly great!

My favorite place, exactly what Zeeburgereiland needs. A hip place with a neighborhood vibe, child-friendly, FANTASTIC food, the best coffee, and very nice owners. I often sit here on Wednesday afternoons, working on my laptop and enjoying delicious coffee and/or tea, but I also like to come here at the weekend to drink coffee and eat the tastiest cakes with my family.

I bought two cappuccinos for takeaway. They serve me the two of them in a cup for expreso. It's was very small and overpriced. Disappointed no recorded 😕

Just wow! 🤩 This place is amazing. From incredible good food, to tasty coffee, to friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. This place is family, dog and computer friendly!! The ambiente is very chill and they have a variety of brunch dishes, as well as cakes (I couldn’t decide). I also liked that mostly everything was possible to eat vegan and gluten free. Can only recommend!!😍

Hi, I'm Italian and I was in Amsterdam to visit my sister and her family. On recommendation I went to Bluey's for a quick lunch and I was truly amazed. It's difficult to find a place of this kind in Parma where I live, really welcoming and versatile, very friendly even for families with children. I ate a go for it and found it spacey, you could feel that the nduja was of quality, really tasty. Then I ate a truly incredible pistachio and raspberry cake. I can't wait to go back!!!

A nice cafe with lots of variety on the menu for different dietary requirements. It is also very child/family friendly and there is a play area for children. A very cozy atmosphere and beautifully decorated full of plants.

They don’t serve quality matcha, it tasted very bitter. In general the menu is very overpriced. Don’t go here for the service either as you will leave very disappointed.

My go-to brunch place in Oost! Honestly, such a cozy vibe, I feel like I’m entering my second living room every time I walk in. I am a regular visitor here, it's a great place to have brunch or study. The service staff and owners are very friendly and the food and drinks are great. They serve delicious matcha and chai lattes, they're a bit small compared to other cafes but the taste makes up for that. I'm a big fan of their vegetarian BLT (halloumi instead of bacon) and the Egg's Bluey (variation on egg's benedict). The interior design is very beautiful and the cafe has a nice homey atmosphere. The place is very family and kid friendly as well. I can highly recommend Bluey's cafe!

Great food that is obviously very intentional. You can tell they went above and beyond to create a unique menu. Very friendly service and extremely child friendly.

A nicely decorated eatery that looks nice with lots of plants. 2 people ordered 2 toasts with egg, tea and a latte macchiato. The toast turned out to be a toasted sandwich with 2 half-cooked eggs (just barely done) and a slice of bacon. Coffee and tea were nothing special. However, the bill was very high. I think €32 for such a light lunch is bizarrely expensive. For that money you can expect much more quality. I got the impression that the kitchen made it easy. Shame!

This place lifts up Zeeburgereiland. Great coffees, amazing pastries/cakes/bread and a creative brunch menu that doesn’t disappoint. Only downside I could think of is that some dishes are a little small plated if you’re expecting a full on lunch. In which case, just stack up with a pastry dessert!

Suffered food poisoning. My husband and I had been eating the same thing all day, except at Blueys. When curfew started, my husband looked almost green from stomach pain and nausea. Furthermore, it was quite cold in the tent. People kept their coats on, which meant that the fun was gone for me. The croastie I had was thinly filled and not filling at all. Very good service and nice staff.

This is my first time visiting a cafe since I arrived in Amsterdam a few days ago, so the interior and colors are really pretty. Good cappuccino and the staff was also very kind and welcoming✨ I enjoyed it and will be back soon☕️

It is now 2024, today I got a take-a-way cappuccino. Small cup for €3.70, ridiculous! Especially in the center of Amsterdam you get even more for this money! Entrepreneur do something about this! Previously posted before the fire: Cozy tent, nice staff, nice environment. Nice menu with surprising dishes. Coffee latte is great! Recommended

Cozy brunch place, really delicious food and drinks

From the bottom of my heart, I truly, truly, love Bluey's! From the first time I visited (before the fire) I've loved their atmosphere, their ambiance & their coffees! And it's a great great spot to spend a day working away on your laptop or reading a book. Their resilience and the way they've come back after the fire is really admireable and I'm so happy to see how they've updated, upgraded and made the place even better than it already was! However... I do think I would come by more often if they had different pricing. I've seen a different review talking about "that's Amsterdam prices for you", but to be real and honest.. it's just not true..even for Amsterdam standard and prices..the prices are ri-di-cu-lous-ly high! You pay almost 5 euro's for a tea.. but then get a really tiny small glass?! If you go for the eggs and want any add-ons, you could pay almost 8 euro for just your add-on of salmon (okay, it is gin-infused, but no option for regular smoked salmon either) and the price for this add-on is almost the same as your toast with eggs. But the croastie (toasted croissant) with the same gin-infused salmon is just 1 euro more than if the salmon was an add-on? It just doesn't make any sense.. It then also really surprises me what the amount of food you get is: so little and to be honest.. the way it's presented not always a feast for the eyes. I find it such a shame, because the spot is superb for me.. but then the thought of paying almost 30 euro's for 1 sourdough bread with eggs and mushrooms for example (drinks still excluded!!) just puts me off. And often I'm still left hungry after. There are other spots in the neighborhood that offer better quality, more substantial brekkies for less money..

We went here for brunch and it was really delicious! The selection was great, everything was fresh and well prepared. The atmosphere was totally cozy. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The coffee was forgotten, but we'll definitely be back!

Another amazing brunch at blues. This time we had “go for it” and it’s just delicious. I say you go for it 😉 And I’m in love with their coffees, drip and americanos. I’m in the neighbourhood a lot and I frequently pass by cause it’s best coffee ever. And the service is always top notch too! The personnel is so friendly always!

I enjoyed the coffee a lot, but I wish food had little more taste. Tried it twice, scrambled eggs had definitely more flavour than the fried ones a week before, not sure why. I loved the service though!

Had brunch at BLUEY'S on a Sunday morning. There is an extensive menu with various, more special options than the average brunch place. The kimchi fritters with poached egg were delicious in combination with the homemade sauce. The polenta with porchetta was tasty, but a bit boring in terms of taste. Like something was missing. In terms of coffee, we chose the house blend. But the barista had decided without consultation that we would get different beans. The coffee was placed at the table with the message that he had opted for other beans, but without explanation. Just as tasty, but different. On Sunday morning it was very busy with children, which caused a lot of noise. The restaurant obviously cannot do anything about this, but keep this in mind if you want a quiet breakfast/lunch.

Rented the back room for filming. Contact was fast, friendly and easy. Options were considered. Conclusion: Friendly shop, very helpful, nicely decorated and most importantly: delicious food! We will definitely come back here.

Very happy that the cafe is back! the coffee absolutely outstanding. The food unfortunately disappointing. Bland, soggy, deep fried and hard rock kimchi fitters ooohh, sadly price quality ratio is not great.

Just in a short span of time this place became our go to breakfast/brunch place. Their Eggs Blueys is to die for, amazing combination of flavours and texture. Also their barista is on point, great consistent flavours in their cappucino and espressos and as an added bonus, great latte art! I highly recommend this place!

Very nice place. Very nice staff and very nice to have lunch or a coffee as a parent. They have a small corner for the kids and the toilet is also attractive for the little ones. The food is delicious and there is a super nice skate park and playground on your doorstep. Love this place!

Super modern and cozy place. One can order via website, which can be accessed via QR code. The presentation of the products is great and supplies all info you could need (allergens, etc.). The cappucino was a blast.

My favourite place in Amsterdam, cozy neighbourhood cafe atmosphere, beautiful fresh flowers, nice meals that change from time to time. Place for working remotely, and friendly waiters and staff, they put a lot of effort and heart into it and remember usual orders by common guests. Only minus I can think of is saturday crowds and pressure on staff in this day, so we usually skip saturdays :)
