Dignita Vondelpark in Willemspark

This was my second visit to Dignita, and it definitely won’t be my last. The food quality is consistently great, and everything tastes fresh and well prepared. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for brunch. A place I’m always happy to return to.

Came here for a work brunch. I removed two stars because we were seated next to the kitchen and unfortunately got to see that the hollandaise is pre-made, not home-made. That kind of ruined it for me. Let’s be honest, the difficult part of eggs Benedict is the sauce. When I go to a restaurant, I expect things to be made freshly, especially when it’s a key component of the dish. I can scoop it out the container and put it on my eggs myself at home, don’t need a restaurant for that. If you’re gonna have an open kitchen, either don’t do that, or hide it, or don’t seat clients in view of the kitchen. Apart from that, we had a lovely time. The food was tasty, the service was great, the prices are okay for Amsterdam. They have a little play area for children and one of my colleagues brought her baby, the staff were so great with her. The fresh drinks were really tasty! Halloumi and basque cheesecake dessert were also amazing. The fried hash brown under the eggs benny is really delicious, I just wish the hollndaise would have been fresh, then it would be 5 stars

Fantastic place, definitely a must in Amsterdam. Great vibes from the cozy first floor to the expansive mezzanine. Cute views from the upstairs. The food was delicious, it can be hard to get mushrooms right but they did just that. Juice was very fresh. All the waiters were sweet and attentive, I was very pleased with the service. Cannot recommend enough!! I’ll have to come back to try the pancakes because they also look phenomenal :)

We tried the "Benny Boy" and the brave basque slider. Both were delicious. I recommend them.

I have been here for a lot of times. I like the harsh brown base of the eggs Benedict. Atmosphere was nice and staff was generally friendly :) Overall the food is nice but not too special. I wouldn’t wait outside for the food if I did not make the reservation.

Despite the hype surrounding this café, which is widely praised and has countless positive reviews, my disappointment was all the greater. We arrived without a reservation and were therefore only able to sit outside, hoping to perhaps get a table inside later. Shortly after us, however, another couple, also without a reservation, arrived and were seated inside right in front of us. That was already quite disconcerting. Even more disappointing, however, was the fact that no server came to our table outside for an extended period. We waited for quite some time, but no one acknowledged us or took our order. In the end, we left without even having the chance to try anything. A real shame – especially for a café that receives such high praise. I would have loved to try the food, but the poor service unfortunately made the visit impossible.

Great food, however hygiene took away from what would have otherwise been a nice brunch. There was an infestation (20-30) of drain flies in each corner of the cafe which are an issue, I think they should address this before service begins.

Sweet place to have a nice breakfast

Food - I enjoyed the novel presentation of the fried kale and the gnocchi, which were served whole like garaetteok (rice cakes). The flavors were also well-balanced. I'm always on the lookout for a restaurant with a specific menu item, but this place excels at both novelty and flavor, leaving me with a positive impression. This is my first time leaving a restaurant review. Service - The staff are friendly and approachable, making them easy to approach. Even though I don't speak English well, they understand and acknowledge our differences. Atmosphere - The interior has a cozy, eco-friendly feel. The second floor offers ample seating, and the building's design, visible from the windows, is unique and attractive to Asians. After noon, the restaurant becomes crowded, giving it a local feel.

I did not enjoy my experience here. I found the food lacking (though to be fair I ordered this weird yogurt, egg dish), the prices high, and the wait staff very slow.

used to be a 6-star gem of a brunch spot especially in Amsterdam’s lower quality, hygiene and epicurean standards. seems it may be time to find a new favorite. the benny boy is still one of the best (if you avoid the salmon which today was one of the weirdest I’ve ever tasted) coffee is still good (would have been great if served in heated glasses as its supposed to be), service still efficient. (if you don’t mind the kind server greeting guests at the door while drying and throwing cutlery around :) still a good place if you are in the area. Edit after giving Dignita another chance as per their kind reply and encouragement to try again: unfortunately, the downward spiral continues. taking off another star for service. It took them 19–20 minutes (not rounding up) to bring a mimosa to the table — that’s really unacceptable, even by Amsterdam standards. The staff seemed lost, mixing up orders and delivering the wrong food to several tables around us. Energy was low, service felt tired, and the poached eggs had that telltale vinegar smell — the classic chef’s shortcut except maybe he/she used too much or forgot to rinse. Despite the head waitress trying a little harder than the rest, the overall vibe just felt off. Still a decent spot if you’re nearby, but sadly, no longer worth going out of your way for.

The coffee was good, but the staff unfortunately didn't pay enough attention to the guests. They were discussing (as far as I could hear) whether I could choose another table, as I was occupying a spot for three (I was waiting for a friend). Communication wasn't pleasant and not very friendly. Finally, after an hour in the restaurant, we received our coffee. After coffee, we decided to have breakfast elsewhere. I live nearby, and in my opinion, there are nicer places in the area with friendlier staff.

This is the kind of place that has a posh veneer, overcharges for the elite vibes and somewhat novel sounding menu, but 1) doesn’t follow up with surprisingly delicious food and 2) has the dismissive attitude in the service to go with it. The wait to order, for the food and to get the bill seemed unusually long, and while the coffee and main meal were decent, the fried potatoes for ex were no joke the worst I’ve ever had in my long life (and that’s saying a lot as I have spent a lot of time in the US where one can expect horrific tasting fried potatoes). Add to that a price which felt it was about double of what it should have been and it was overall a negative unfortunate experience.

Absolutely amazing food and staff. People are so friendly, they tried their best to accommodate me, and they were so busy the night before the marathon. Highly recommend the conolo. If I am ever back, I will be sure to come back. Very friendly for children as well (we had 2 toddlers with us).

I've been here before, and the staff were very friendly. This time, the staff were not friendly at all. It took a while for my order to be taken, even though they just stood there staring and chatting among themselves. The food and drinks here are otherwise good.

If you want to have a coffee an hour before closing, you can't do that anymore because they are getting ready to close 😂

Love the mission and the food was very good! Bacon was done to perfection. Daughters food the description was a bit off from what she got but she still enjoyed. Would come again next time in Amsterdam.

We went here around 15 thinking they wouldn’t have space and would be closing but they actually had plenty! We also love the space because you had so many different options to choose from for different group sizes, and the staff was super helpful too. We got the toast and pistachio pancakes, we love both of them but the pancakes was a bit heavy, may not be easy to eat all of it one person. There were people with laptops too.

Definitely my favorite brunch spot in Amsterdam — every time I visit the city, I try to go to. They serve a dish called Benny Florentine, with eggs Benedict on a kind of potato rash — like a bunch of crispy fries — and it’s absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it!

Unfortunately, the value for money isn't right. The presentation of the food is very good. But unfortunately, it doesn't taste as good as it looks – the bread tastes like thick whole-grain toast, there wasn't much variety, and for the price (around €20 for one dish), the experience isn't worth it.

Coffee...it wasn't coffee, I have no idea what it was. Almost no one speaks Dutch...the price is ridiculous. Grumpy staff.

Two black coffees and one apple pie for €13 is absolutely ridiculous. The coffee was watery, not tasty, and had a nasty aftertaste. The apple pie was good. Service was lacking. No smiling staff, no warm welcome, and they just left us standing. No communication whatsoever. A terrible place.

No Airconditioning, too hot temperature inside the restaurant.

As I read in one of the reviews I saw while searching for a place for breakfast, this is truly a hidden gem. The place is small, but fortunately, they were able to assign us a table even though we didn't have a reservation. When I saw the large number of locals there, I thought it was a good sign, and I confirmed it once we ordered. The dishes were presented excellently, and the flavor was unparalleled. The poached eggs were delicious, and the pancakes were the best I've ever had.

For my birthday I met there with some friends and service was so nice about setting up a nice and cozy table. Def will go back

Great food, very accomodating staff! I changed the reservation a few hours before I arrived since a few friends wanted to bring their kids. The staff immediately gave us a table close to the kids' play area in a secluded spot, without a fuss! The food itself is very fresh and lekker. Menu is diverse, plenty vegetarian options. Quantity/price ratio is super!

Very tasty breakfast, but the wait for food on Sunday morning is about an hour, even if you have a reservation. If possible, it is better to choose another place, the kitchen does not cope

World! Incredibly delicious breakfast. The Chook Norris sandwich is out of this world, and the lemon meringue pancake is also incredibly delicious. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere is super relaxed. The prices are reasonable, in my opinion.

​My recent solo visit to Dignita Vondelpark was unfortunately disappointing. The service was slow and inattentive throughout my entire meal. The food quality was also poor: the two fried eggs were very average, the toast was too fried, and the smoothie was just okay. I was hoping for a great brunch, but the experience was a letdown, and I cannot recommend it.

There was only one waiter upstairs and downstairs. It took a while to get our order after we were seated, but thankfully, the food came pretty quickly. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and there were plenty of seats.

I came to enjoy their delicious brunch, but unfortunately, due to a Wi-Fi outage, it wasn't possible. However, we were made to feel very welcome. We brought our dogs, and they were also made to feel very welcome. ☺️ The place is beautiful, the team is great, especially the one who looked after us. ☺️ I'll be back with great pleasure 😁

I’ve been here before with boyfriend and everything was good. Apparently, when you wanna have brunch alone - you are not priority. Didn’t get a menu with food or asked if I need something. I just got seated and that’s it. After a couple of guests entered very close to me😂 and one group upstairs, all got menus. I just left.

Wasn’t really happy about the food . I think I ate at better places . The staff are amazing the view is really nice and after eating you can walk by the park to digest

What a lovely spot for brunch! The atmosphere is cozy and the staff very friendly. We had eggs, which were perfectly cooked, and a delicious ginger tea. Everything was fresh and flavorful. It was quite busy, so I recommend making a reservation. Definitely recommended for a relaxing morning/afternoon.

Food is very good- tasty, nutritious and quick. Service was hit and miss. Unsure if they were understaffed or just did not care to remove empty plates and cups when dropping off second and final round of drinks, despite the fact that we had clearly finished eating. That said it was 1 person and I would return in the hope of better service.

Just a stone's throw from the museums, don't miss Dignita for brunch or simply to sit down and have a coffee. Reservations are recommended for lunch. The music is a bit loud for my taste, but the café is beautifully decorated and the food is good.

I’m very satisfied with the food and the atmosphere. However, when I try to get a waiter’s attention, instead of the one serving my table, you always send my assigned waiter—even if others are available. I believe any available waiter should assist immediately, regardless of table assignments, to avoid keeping customers waiting. This would improve customer satisfaction.

Having tried other Dignitas before, this was my first visit to Vondelpark, and it felt like stumbling into a hidden gem. Reservations are a smart move—the place is popular, and for good reason. We ordered: - 🥪 Chicken Sandwich – hearty and flavorful, with just the right crunch. - 🥑🍳 Eggs Benedict with Avocado – creamy, rich, and beautifully plated. The real magic? Sitting in the glass house, bathed in gentle winter sunlight. It was soothing, almost meditative—like brunch in a greenhouse kissed by the cold.

Dignita Vondelpark is a beautiful spot with truly incredible food. The Eggs Benedict and the Çılbır were both outstanding, fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. I always make a point to visit one of the Dignita locations whenever I’m in Amsterdam, and this one did not disappoint. The coffee here is also fantastic. The mimosa package, however, feels overpriced at 45€, especially given that the Sekt used retails for around 7€ a bottle. Service was friendly and welcoming, but noticeably slow. We received our food before our drinks, and empty plates and glasses were left on the table despite staff walking past multiple times. If you come for the food and coffee, you won’t be disappointed, but don’t expect quick or attentive service.

A lovely spot for brunch the menu is pretty small but with very interesting dishes and combinations. I had the sandwich with the chicken and avocado it was probably one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The pandan ice coffee was also really good, and I'm Italian I'm picky with my coffee. I will go back when I'm in Amsterdam again. Shout out to the staff which was extremely nice and helpful!

Excellent food and service! If you want a great food experience, come to Dignita. I had the basil peach pancakes and I had to come the next day for another one because it was SO good!

El gerente NO tiene idea de cómo tratar a un cliente, es grosero distante y helado. lo que es triste que ni siquiera sepa lo patética que es. Tal vez un trabajo en el zoo alimentando hienas le vendría mejor ya que no tienes que saber cómo interactuar con los clientes. El resto del personal es amable pero distante y la comida es decente pero sobrepreciosa.

Disappointing experience According to the information online and on the sign at the entrance, the café was supposed to be open until 5:00 PM. I arrived around [insert time], but was told they were already closed. Very confusing and a shame – clear and up-to-date opening hours are so important for customers. Hopefully, this will be adjusted in the future.

Some may be attracted to the restaurant’s laudable “eat well, do good” mission. But let me tell you, this is NOT a case of virtue-washing mediocre fare. The food is excellent! Fresh ingredients, creative and thoughtful preparation. Simple made special. Good service as well. One of the best and most enjoyable meals we ate in Amsterdam.

We waited behind a few others for a table, but unfortunately the staff seemed too busy to acknowledge anyone waiting. After a while, we were told that no tables were available without a reservation—even though several tables were clearly empty. While we understand the team may have been short-handed, the overall service experience could definitely be improved. It would be helpful if staff could proactively inform walk-in guests that only reservations are being accepted, rather than letting people wait without any clarity

I was tempted by the idea of brunch when I came here, and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were top-notch, the food exceptional. My friend and I were tempted by the "Chook Noris." When I arrived at my table, I was afraid I wouldn't be satisfied. I was wrong again; it filled me up and was truly flavorful and delicious. The drinks are also very good!! In short, a resounding yes, I highly recommend it. Exactly!

I had a benny boy and the all so trendy mango matcha. I’m a huge eggs Benedict fan and this one was super disappointing. Unfortunately what was even more disappointing was the mango matcha as this had to be the worst one I’ve ever had. Lots of seating downstairs and upstairs and gets very busy especially during weekend brunch times.

We had the Benny Boy and Eggs Your Way – both extremely delicious. The avocado was really aromatic and went perfectly with the eggs. The combination of potatoes and eggs in the Benny Boy was also perfectly balanced. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we were seated right away – which isn't a given at such a popular spot. The service was also super friendly and attentive. The coffee could have been a bit stronger for our taste, but the freshly squeezed orange juice was a real highlight: fruity, natural, and refreshing. Overall, a very pleasant visit with delicious food, good service, and a pleasant atmosphere. A definite recommendation!

Love their Benny, their social cause, service and atmosphere. I used to rate them a perfect 5, but the "shrinkflation" they've done, reducing the portion size to keep prices in check, has come at the expense where you actually leave hungry.

We went for breakfast and were honestly disappointed. The prices are high for what they offer, the matcha tea was very sour, and the staff's service left a lot to be desired. Furthermore, the online rating doesn't reflect what we experienced. We wouldn't go back.

One of the best breakfast place in Amsterdam. Wide choice of dishes,so everyone can find something for itself. Service with a smile which is not quite often in Amsterdam.But they can work on improving the timing of delivery. Often crowded in the morning. Prices are moderate.

The food was just so tasty. We had the Fattoush salad which was big and really Lebanese looking and tasting. The brioche with smoked fish and creme was such a delicious surprise, im still thinking about it. And then the raspberry pancakes, also a real treat. Lovely people work here, it was full and for me too noisy. Will definitely come back when its not peek hour.

We went there for breakfast on Sunday and it was busy. The procedure there is that if you have a reservation you usually get a seat quickly, otherwise you have to wait, and luckily two seats were quickly found for us. It was a bit later than expected, but that could be due to the crowds. We waited and I could see the people waiting for the food. Meanwhile, a family of three (I think Japanese) had also arrived. But the staff didn't see them and they waited and waited for almost an hour. Meanwhile, the other people who were coming, both those who had reservations and those who did not, had found a spot and were seated. This family waited so long that one of the boys got fed up and left. The rest of the family brought him back. I told the staff that they had been waiting for a long time, but as always, the staff all over the world think that all people except themselves are from Mars and don't know anything about anything. They tried to explain to me that people with reservations have priority, and... I said, "I know, but there are also a lot of others without reservations, and of course no one paid attention to that." Finally, after about an hour, a place was found for them. I don't think these types of events reflect well on people. (Before anyone tries to answer this restaurant, I will post the time of the photo when this family was looking for a place to sit and took it from the back for privacy. The food was fantastic! The smoked trout side is very worth it too. I had the Benny boy and a pistachio iced mocha, and I'd gladly come back to have them again. While service was a little slow (they were very busy), it was very friendly!

Food is great this is the second time I have been here. Portions are generous and the oat milk lates are good. The service is not bad. It is busy so you have to book if you want a nice table. Overall it’s a great breakfast brunch place close to Vondelpark.

Great place to have brunch. It is located near residential area in Amsterdam, so may not be an appropriate place for busy travellers. But if you are an Amsterdammer or if you are visiting but relaxing, you should consider here

They have deteriorated sharply. The food is tasteless, small portions and for an extra slice of bread you pay €4.5. You have to call the staff yourself if you want to order something. Toilet was very clean. Unfortunately the last time for me.
