Dignita Vondelpark in Willemspark

They have poached eggs in KIDS menu. You can't give uncooked eggs to children, don't you know that? Their immune system cannot handle salmonella and other bacteria as good as an adult's immune system. I specifically ordered a fried egg for my 3 y.o. hoping that it will be fully cooked. They forgot about our order. When they finally brought it after I reminded them, the yoke was runny, so it was impossible to eat for my kid who was super hungry and tired of waiting.

We waited at the door for 10 minutes, even though there was no one in front of us, many empty tables, and free staff. Some staff walked by us, but they didn’t help or greet us. We made eye contact with them, but they ignored us. After we sat at the table, the same thing happened. We tried to order, but we waited another 15 minutes. The staff were not busy, but they didn’t care to take our order. We tried two dishes from the brunch menu, but both were very average. The food and service don’t match the high reviews this place has. It was a bad experience for us. I hope the staff get some feedback to improve their service.

One of the best brunch places in Amsterdam. The Benny Boy is delicious. Review update 26-12-2024: This was one of my favorite brunch place. However I have to say that during my last visit I got very disappointed. The Chook Norris sandwich is getting smaller and smaller. It’s not justifying the €16,50 price point anymore. The amount of chicken is a complete joke. It’s so tiny, you cannot name it a chicken sandwich. My wife ordered the Benny Boy and also here the hash brown got smaller! Way smaller than before. I really don’t understand as potato is a cheap ingredient. You are protecting your profit margin by reducing the sizes. But by doing this you are losing customers and business. On the long term it will bite you. I’m not coming back..

Great coffee, tasty food although a bit pricey

A quiet place, very good food and the price is in line with the quantity. For my part, I came on a Sunday morning at 11 a.m. so I had reserved because it is quite full. The fresh juices are excellent!

Onze ervaring was ronduit slecht!! In eerste instantie zijn ze ons vergeten nadat we onze gerechten hadden besteld. Vervolgens kreeg ik een Caesar salade waar nauwelijks dressing op zat, nauwelijks Parmezaanse kaas en bovendien geen ansjovis, die er volgens de menukaart wel op zou moeten zitten. Mijn tafelgenote had de vegetarische optie waarop crispy tofu zou moeten zitten. Deze was echter niet crispy maar chewy (taai). Bovendien zat er bij haar geen ei op - wat toch echt wel hoort bij zowel een vegetarische als bij de originele versie - en ook bij haar nauwelijks Parmezaanse kaas. Ik heb aangegeven en laten zien aan het meisje van de bediening dat er nauwelijks tot geen dressing op mijn salade zat. Zij is in de keuken gaan vragen om dressing, maar kwam terug met de mededeling dat er geen dressing meer was. Punt!! Nadat wij daar verbijsterd op hebben gereageerd is ze nogmaals naar de keuken gegaan. Een tijdje later kwam een collega ons vertellen dat een van de koks een dressing zou gaan maken, maar dat dat enige tijd kon duren. Na opnieuw wachten kwam ze met een schaaltje dressing naar onze tafel. Een dressing die niets, maar dan ook echt niets met dressing voor een Caesar salade te maken had. Er zat met name (veel te veel!) mosterd in, wat olie en azijn en de dressing was vlokkerig. De ingrediënten die er een Caesar salade dressing van maken ontbraken, zoals ansjovis, Parmezaanse kaas en knoflook. Absoluut geen kennis van zaken dus in de keuken en weinig tot geen bereidheid van de bediening om een fatsoenlijk gerecht op tafel te zetten of iets anders aan te bieden. Uiteindelijk werd wel het volledige bedrag bij ons in rekening gebracht en door de medewerkers niet meer gerept over deze absolute aanfluiting. Eens maar nooit meer naar Dignita Vondelpark voor ons. Lang geleden dat ik zo'n schandalig slechte ervaring heb gehad in een horecagelegenheid.

Dignita is one of our favourite place to go in the area. Vegetarian plus kids friendly. Service and food is 5+ always! Plus they have a play area with toys, kitchen, etc to keep your little ones busy. In our recent visit, Lisa really helped us with food and different food allergens which was greatly appreciated. All in one - just go for this place

Great place with very delicious dishes. We went for breakfast without a reservation and they made room for us. The staff is very attentive and friendly, the treatment was great. Everything is delicious and the quality is very good. One of the few places to eat a good breakfast in Amsterdam.

Eggs benedict was not good, holandaise too sour, eggs too hard and hashbrown with little flavor. The table next to us had exactly the same thing and reported this to the waiter, so we did the same. Nothing further was done with it. Normally the quality here is good, so that's a shame!

The coffee was nice, but the food was just okay. The biggest downside is the very limited menu, which wouldn’t be an issue if the options were more appealing. We really struggled to decide what to eat because of the lack of variety. The interior was pretty nice.

When we came in and said 'hello' we got no response 😬 Then we sat down and were given water in dirty glasses. That was a disappointing first impression. Then ordered food and drinks, which were very tasty and well prepared. What I think is a shame is that the 'sides' (extras) were quite expensive: +5 euros for two slices of bacon, for example. That's why 3 stars, the food was great but price-quality and customer friendliness were disappointing.

Had a business lunch here, really enjoyed the food and friendly service. Try out the Eggs Florentine on hash browns… super tasty

Super tasty. You can have a really good breakfast or brunch here. There is certainly something for everyone, including vegetarians and vegans.

Very overrated and overpriced. We ordered benny boy and miso toastie. Benny boy's eggs came boiled, not poached. I wanted bacon for toasties for extra 5 euros and I think it's really expensive. Miso toastie had literally 3 pieces of spinach and just a little bit of cheese. If I didn't add bacon I would be eating plain bread. We also ordered a burnt cheesecake which was way too burned and overcooked and not creamy. In total we paid 50 euros for a huge disappointment. I don't recommend this place.

The menu of the restaurant we came to because of Google reviews and images had changed, and we could not find what we wanted to eat in the current list. The taste of what we ordered instead was good. Seating arrangement was cramped. There were delays in service because it was crowded.

No child’s friendly no family friendly I wanted to come to be with my child so she could play in the kids area (small kids area) and they suggested me to sit at the entrance while my child 20 months stay alone at the kids are because it’s not allowed to drink a coffee standing next to your child terrible service not flexible and I will not advise people with kids to visit this place

It was one of the details that made Amsterdam beautiful. It was herring fish, french fries, extremely sweet waffles, and it was the place where we were full after 3 days of being hungry. The poached egg was very good, the autumn toast was terrific. We also ordered pancakes for the children. He was also very successful.

Sunday brunch at Dignita Vondelpark. Surprisingly managed to book a table on the same day at 3pm. Wasn't really busy and service was fast. Menu has different egss options, toasties with a twist, weekly specials. Food was good, light but filling. Agree with other people mentioning very good cappuccino. The only thing price is a bit too high. 40€ for two dishes and two drinks. And dishes were without any extra toppings. All in all I will come back to try other food options on the menu and for cappuccino!

Modern, yet simple, super fresh ingredients, incredibly tasty. This place is unpretentious, focuses on good ingredients , and serves great coffee. Had a delicious breakfast , Benny Boy, their take on eggs Benedict. Perfectly poached eggs served over potato latkes ( crunchy and non greasy). I've also asked for mashed avocado to compliment the eggs, and a very refreshingly lightly salted trout to compliment this rich, yet light breakfast. A very much needed Green Paradise smoothie was a welcome addition to this breakfast. It packed all the greens without being too herbal. The staff is very sweet and welcoming.

Awful service. Waited 15 minutes at the front whilst plenty of staff milled around. Asked to be shown to one of the many empty tables. Told to wait a few mins and host would be with us (why can't any of the not busy staff just show us) - host comes after another 5 mins and tells us no table without reservation? Complete waste of our time

Dignita in Amsterdam is a fantastic brunch spot with a great mission: "Eat well, do good." The atmosphere was lovely, and Ming, our server, was very informative and provided excellent customer service. The menu is full of healthy options that tasted as good as they sounded. One small note—if you need the bathroom, it's located in the basement. Overall, a wonderful experience that left me feeling good both about the food and their mission!

This is the second time here and provides quality food and drinks consistently. We enjoyed a beautiful Benny Boy breakfast and it was delicious. As with most Amsterdam dining experiences it is more expensive than the UK but it’s a much nicer experience generally. We love it!

Ordered the Benny Boy, Cappuccino, and Croissant, which were all good. Nice ambiance where i could see the world go by on the loft while enjoying eggs and smashed avocado.

this place has fallen off completely. I used to really like it, but it seems like they have fallen into the trap of being too busy understaffed and under managed which all reflects on the owners. Food left on the kitchen counter until it’s cold. Service was so blah. It’s just to bad.

The size of the dish was a bit small to fill in my appetite. But the food was good and I was glad I made it as my trip has very tight schedule.

Accommodating and kind staff, busy yet efficient and absolutely delicious brunch food. Great options for all and especially for me a healthy food lover. Cozy vibe. Can get loud but not bad. Went before a lovely ride around the park.

Restaurant had many free tables( including reservation possibilities for 20 min later and yet they refuse to let us in for lunch even when the guy saw my wife is very much pregnant

I was looking forward to having brunch here, cuz my friend highly recommended. However, I didn’t expected that they like their pancake way undercooked. My pancake is totally different from the other photos on google review. When I told the watier about this, they didn’t even bother asking the kitchen. Simply came back and said this is how it should be. Maybe it’s actually how it should be, an undercooked, gluey pancake.

The food and the atmosphere are really good, but the service is always between mediocre and plainly bad. I come quite often for brunch and half of the times they get the order wrong, or forget about something, the bill is wrong or they make a mess while organizing the tables. If you don't care about chaotic management, this is an awesome place to eat. If you are concerned about customer service this is not your place

In my opinion, one of the best places to have brunch as far as the menu is concerned. The dishes are exquisite and different from the rest of the city. It's a shame that the Vondelpark location has such a small terrace.

We ordered the Benny Boy with mackerel and the Chook Norris, and both were absolutely delicious! The Benny Boy is essentially eggs Benedict, but with hash browns as the base instead of a biscuit. I was expecting the mackerel to be grilled, but it was actually served smoked, which made it very special. The Chook Norris is essentially a burrito, but the fried chicken was super crispy, and it had just the right amount of black beans and avocado to make the seasoning perfect.

Chill vibes and incredible food. Had an americano and my wife had a macchiato and we loved them both. Very delicious coffee! We also ordered food, I had the pancakes and she ordered some eggs with some sides

Had food twice here both photos are from two separate services. Absolute flavour sensation. I had the beni boy and my gf had poached eggs on toast. She wasn't a huge fan of the toast but that's probably just her preference in bread.. food and coffee amazing will definitely return in the future. Cheers

One star to the chef - for the “non avo toast” I haven’t tasted something that disgusting for a long time. Is it really so hard to come up with a good vegan dish, especially if it’s the only vegan option?… One star for the service for not being trained to “making it right”. Us both ordered the same dish, and we couldn’t eat it at all. Paid €30 for one bite, and the service just didn’t care.

The food here was really good! The hollandaise save was delicious. The service was a bit slow, but polite and good. The place is cute. Watch your head going to the bathroom though

I just ate a sandwich called Chook Norris with a colleague at Dignita, Vondelpark location. And what a disappointment that was. For €16.50 you expect at least something of reasonable quality, but what we got was shameful. The sandwich consisted of a piece of fried chicken thigh fillet that was the size of my little finger. Added to that were nasty tortilla chips and a mediocre brioche bun. The only positive note was that the avocado was ripe, but within four bites the entire sandwich was gone. This experience was absolutely disproportionate to the price. €16.50 for such a small and disappointing meal is downright ridiculous. The price-quality ratio is hard to find. Definitely not recommended. Do yourself a favor and stay away from here.

We have been waiting for 40 minutes and they didnt bring us the order, so we had to leave without eat anything. Thanks I Guess..

Sadly we have to admit we were disappointed after all the raving reviews. We found the “eggs your way” very blend and the red curry Thai soup, would seem interesting but was okay-ish. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Service is horrendous. We were asked if we had made a reservation (which we hadn’t). They told us it’s fully booked. Ended up making a reservation online to which there were available slots and walked back but no one bothered to attend to us despite being available.

Horrible customer service. Servers are not customer centric and don’t look happy there. Might as well get a new job not in the service line.

Only bad. Waited 1 hour for the food. When we asked, we were promised coffee on the house, which didn't come either. 37 euros for a bread with two eggs and a sandwich and 3 coffees...! Nothing more needs to be said!

Really nice brunch place, very busy but we got a table even though we didn’t have a reservation. Service was great and really kind. I do recommend making a reservation beforehand, as I saw a cue outside after we left.

Nice place, I have visited multiple times over years, food is good.

The food is nice. But the service makes you expect better. I ordered the Benny Boy with crispy bacon. But they brought it to me without bacon, with avocado instead of bacon. When I asked them to add bacon they brought it aside. But then they added avocado and bacon both to the bill. Even though it was their fault. The cafe closes at 5 p.m. I understand they wanted to leave work early, but they started vacuuming at 4pm. And they actually vacuumed right in front of us for 30 minutes. A very loud vacuum cleaner. It was very unpleasant and gave me a headache. I won't go to this cafe again.

Fantastic place, it is in a very beautiful environment. A very complete brunch, varied menu. Everything very fresh. It is advisable to make a reservation, otherwise at least there is room inside without a problem. Spectacular service.

Didn’t like the food much - got Zucchini. Tried dishes at Little Collins and they beat this one all the way. Service wasn’t very attentive, the vibe wasn’t anything special. Didn’t have the new drink from the menu. Quite disappointed and had a much better experience at another location.

The three dishes I ordered were all delicious, the pancake was fluffy, the filling of the sandwich was solid and paired with a great texture and flavor, and the benny boy with the hash browns was also excellent, but the bacon was a little too salty. Environment and service are both good, a suitable place to have brunch, recommended :)

Been here a few times for their delicious brunch. Felt like this time they were becoming a victim of their own success. It was uncomfortably crowded and loud upstairs and it felt like my being there was more of a nuisance to (the very busy) staff than anything else. Food still great! But won't go here again on the weekend.

Delicious! We ate here 3 times in 4 days while we were on holiday here! Delicious coffee and the eggs benedict were to die for! Pancakes were also heavenly. Super nice wait staff as well.
