We are regulars at Benji’a for so many reasons! Bali Cheese Stake is my absolutely favourite things to eat, the lushy green vibe at the restaurant calms my nervinius system and the staff is always greeting with a smile. We keep returning!

I love this place for brunch or for getting a coffee and studying, it’s great, delicious, and awesome service. The strawberry matcha is delicious.

This has to be one of the most disappointing brunch places I've been to in Amsterdam. The prices are way too high for what you actually get : I got a single small waffle with a bit of "seasonal fruit" (which btw were not seasonal : strawberries are not fall fruits) and my husband had scrambled eggs, and we ended up paying around 30 euros ish for that. Definitely not worth it if you ask me. On top of that, the service was lacking. The waitresses kept mixing up the orders, bringing the wrong coffees to different tables multiple times and asking who had ordered what. It felt pretty disorganized. Overall, overpriced and underwhelming. There are much better brunch spots in Amsterdam that offer better food and friendlier service for the same (or even less) money.

The food and the coffee were excellent, very happy on that end. Only we found that everything was overpriced also compared to what you get in the plate. We paid 30€ per person for a sandwich, a juice, a coffee, and a shared french toast. Spicy bill!

First time at Benji’s and loved it, specially the location of this one in West. Love the industrial interior design and the thousand plants makes it cozy. Everything they serve looks fresh and great quality but I must say that the portions are small for the price they have (with one dish and one drink you are not filled). Still a reference place I will return to.

The food was delicious. My Caesar toast was also something a little more unusual—something I've never had before. The coffee was really good—both the pumpkin spice latte and the cappuccino. The lady at the front desk could definitely be friendlier; she had an annoyed demeanor, which I didn't like at all. I would still recommend it.

We had a nice lunch with my children. Enjoyed the chicken katsu.

Staff was really friendly and cheerful. The Dishes (we ate Smashed Avo) is an average plate but it was tasty.

Hidden gem in the neighborhood. Amazing interior design, cozy and friendly people. We got smashed avo with scrambled eggs and bacon addition. Taste was quite okey nothing to complain. Even though it was saturday, meals are served in less than 15 mins. i d also come to work from there beside breakfast.

We had a nice brunch here, not so far from Best Western Amsterdam where we were staying. They had Bali named menus which I find exciting. The place had a nice decor, lots plants, cozy & warm. We sat outdoor during the spring, to get a bit of sun. However, staff attitude could be better, nothing serious.

We visited for brunch, a short wait to be seated inside the restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful. A good array of dishes and drinks on the menu. Table service which is good. Lovely drinks and food.

The food here is really good, no complaints at all on the quality. But there’s a big issue that keeps repeating, and it needs to be addressed. The place says it’s open until 16:00, but that’s not really true in practice. The second time I went around 15:30 to order some takeaway, I was told the kitchen closes at 15:30. Fair enough, so I went back another day at 15:10, and the kitchen was already closed. I even asked what the actual kitchen closing time is so I could plan accordingly, but they couldn’t give me a clear answer. If you stop serving food well before your advertised closing time, that should be communicated clearly on your website, social media, or even Google Maps. If your business is selling food, and you say you're open until 16:00, then customers should be able to order at least takeaway until 16:00. Otherwise, the real closing time is 15:00 or earlier. It’s a pity, because the food is good, but the experience ends up being frustrating.

Third time having lunch, third time enjoying it! Service could be better.

We wanted to have brunch here with three people on a Friday afternoon, but because the kitchen was very busy, we had to wait a bit. We were offered drinks while we waited and were given the menu so we could already see what we wanted to eat. The toast with avocado and scrambled eggs was delicious; it was also nice that the bread wasn't too hard to slice. The cinnamon roll was fine, a bit dry but still flavorful. The interior is a mix of sleek gray walls and inviting green plants. The staff is friendly, and the service—once we were able to order—was fast and good.

Delicious food and a lovely atmosphere! One waitress wasn't very polite, but it was also very busy when we were there. Another waitress was incredibly attentive and kind. We'll definitely be back!

Almost an hour to deliver three sandwiches and one portion of scrambled eggs for a 2 years old child. The eggs were served spicy, with no mention on the menu. We asked then to just have another, simple egg. They served it again with spicy powder on it; the waitress noticed and tried to smear it out and then tried STILL to serve it to us. For a baby. Unbelievable.

I like this place but today I just came there to take a breakfast before work and they forgot my food order and gave to someone else. Oh my, why is so hard Dutch people serve well? Sorry but this is very annoying and I didn't have time to take breakfast because I was waiting for something that never will come lol

Second time here, still nice place inside and outside. However, I need to give a thumb down for latte macchiato. As you can see from the picture they use a glass for water to prepare latte macchiato and also they put a lot of coffee in the latte macchiato which is completely wrong. It is clear that there is not a real barista behind the coffee machine. It is a pity because the place is nice and people working there are really pleasant.

We come here often, but lately the quality has left much to be desired. You enter and are assigned a spot. After we decided what we wanted to eat and drink, we had to wait a long time before staff came to us to take our order. We just barely fell asleep because of the energy that the staff brings. From our spot we could eventually see how our dishes were getting cold in the kitchen and not being picked up. Our food was served lukewarm and when we said something about it afterwards, the message was difficult to get through and it seemed as if we were the “whiners” here. It's a pity that no compensation was provided, this has ensured that we will not return. Too bad, because the food isn't that bad.

I’m honestly very surprised about the reviews. I got an avocado toast with scrambled eggs and coffee. It was the most mediocre avocado toast I’ve ever had. It was just so plain. The coffee was the same. In fact, coffee was worse. These prices are way too much for this kind of food. They didn’t even try to make it taste good, no seasoning or sauce or whatever. Too overpriced for what you get. I wouldn’t go back

Some different items on the menu with a good flavor - the restaurant commits to the flavor that you expect - e.g. truffle and mushroom are the dominant flavours in the truffle mushroom egg bun. Service was very quick and there was a queue the whole time we were there. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice place with great atmosphere. Sadly they haven’t had the avo today, so I had scrambled eggs with truffled mushrooms…and what can I say? It was absolutely delicious! Service was great, too. Flat White is 7/10.

I don't understand how a veggie restaurant can have the plants that "decorate" the place in these conditions of neglect and lack of love. Food is perfect, prices are crazy nonsense.

We are returning customers and we really enjoyed Benji's before, especially the food which is very tasty. However the service was really cold and not customer friendly at all. The place was full so maybe they think they don't need new customers (actually we were returning customers). We ended up deciding not to stay just due to the disinterested attitude of the servers. Luckily there are plenty of good restaurants around with good food and much friendlier staff. Probably last time we were trying Benji. If you happen to pass by and the place is not very busy you could give it a try, the food is good. But if the place is busy, you might get treated like they are doing you a favour even by speaking to you.

Quite good, very pleasant treatment, the atmosphere, if you are strange (out of the ordinary) it is better not to wait too long, they look at you as if you were a light bulb, yet everything is calm. Quite high price, I still think that in this country potatoes do not exist when it comes to ordering hamburgers, which by the way are not well mentioned on the menu, the ones with eggs are hamburgers and also others that I do not remember, the prices are usually around 15e, the juices are excessively expensive except for the orange, that is a fairly normal price. Elegant bathrooms and very elegant premises, the air of grandeur of the premises is far above, you have to be careful :)

I was skeptical at first when I came in, I spoke to a lady who helped me to find a seating and I was attended to by a lovely woman. I don’t eat eggs all the time cos I love them made a certain way and she accommodated my dietary requirements and they tasted so nice. I will be coming back #blackgirleats

Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Due to crowds we could only sit in the self-service section upstairs. But if you order, they will bring it for you. Your order will be taken at the table in the downstairs area. Quality of the food was also great!

Food is good, but the service and vibe is great. Very nice place for a quick lunch. Orders come out very fast as well. Prices are quite reasonable considering it's still Amsterdam after all.

Today, at 3:38 PM, my son and I were turned away with the explanation that the kitchen had already closed. I am aware that your official closing time is 4:00 PM, so it was quite disappointing to be refused service nearly 25 minutes before closing. When I mentioned that you still had 25 minutes until closing, I was told, ‘It hasn’t been a busy day, so we did our last round and closed the kitchen.’ This experience was truly frustrating. I would recommend updating your closing time to 3:30 PM if this is a regular practice.

Wait half an hour before you get a seat, even though there are empty seats. They are only set up for 2 people at a table, adding a chair is not possible in their view. Too few staff is scandalous. Finally sat down at an empty table

Very very very slow staff. Have been there for 4 times, and with all times a simple coffee takes 15-20min. Last time, after 25min they still didn’t make drinks. In short: staff is kindly but they have no clue what they are doing.. no structure, no communication, no team, only one guy was working hard. Sadly we left the place.

Very good breakfast! My wife and I were super happy with our breakfast! Good service and good food. The only negative is perhaps that the coffee was a bit stingy, could be a bit bigger coffee for that price. We are going back already tomorrow.

Unfortunately, we found this a bit disappointing. The French toast in particular was extremely small. We often have lunch out and it is quite normal to have at least 2 pieces of toast to serve on 1 plate...as "French toast" We were served 1 very small piece of toast. (It should be said that the waitress corrected this for us... the cook made a slightly larger toast...) The brioche eggstraordinary was okay. Again, not a tour de force.

It's super tasty food; just the arrogance that sometimes hangs among the staff. This is also one of the few places in Amsterdam where you have to wait for a spot even if it is completely empty. If you still sit down, they get angry.
