They only accept guests with reservations even though there is free tables which wasn’t specified at the website neither at Google maps until I tried to go inside. Do not attempt a walk-in, as you’re likely to be turned away at the door by a frustrated-overworked waitress.

Very nice drinks with colleagues. Even more fun in the evening with the lighting. I had also been before during the day. It's right behind the Holocaust names monument. They made tasty snacks and the beer types are excellent.

Food never disappoints. Ordered Benny Boy with avocado and fish. Delish! Buuut the service is extremely dissapointing! They make you wait in the cold in line even though I have a reservation and come on time. When 30% of the tables look free inside (glass walls). Isn’t seating quickly the point of the reservation? Crazy how dirty the dishes are, in which the food is served! I took a business partner to lunch, she found lipstick on her water glass, given by the water. And then her team was brought with 1 cm dust fluff floating in her tea, I could also see it! Why don’t you reuse unwashed cups and glasses??

A place that sells sugary or pastry products. I went just to taste it. As far as I understand, breakfast is not a very important meal in Amsterdam. That's why the products sold outside for breakfast consist of sugar and flour. Unfortunately, I didn't like much about the place other than its atmosphere. That's why I can't recommend it.

Save this for special occasions, best breakfast in town, top tier service, treat yourself. Book ahead so you know you have a table in this beautiful cafe and unique location. The staff are beyond friendly and cater to your every need, its something that should be celebrated in Amsterdam!!

I love this brunch spot first and foremost for its lovely location. But the food is also great and it’s not too crowded.

We came with a group of 12. Unfortunately, 2 separate tables, which was not clearly indicated to us when booking in advance. However, we had excellent contact in advance to coordinate an arrangement/cake. Upon arrival, the welcome could be a bit friendlier. There was not one person who clearly took charge or briefly coordinated with us, for example that we had a package and how we could order (3 different people came by who asked questions and one apparently did not know that we were 1 company, etc.) . This seemed very chaotic and unclear. In addition, the drinks were not passed on properly and we found the attitude of the waitresses very unprofessional. Such as reacting arrogantly after the wrong dishes were brought to us and sitting on the phone doing nothing while water has not been refilled at the table, etc. Despite the negative impression of the staff, we did eat a lot of delicious food. All in all, we left with mixed feelings. I would not recommend this location for a large group. However, in a small group I would also hesitate, as the experience with the staff in general can also strongly influence the atmosphere.

It used to be my favorite brunch place, but last time we went was really disappointing. The poached eggs were overcooked (not runny), the pancakes had some weird cold topping which tasted questionable (pictured) and both smaller portions than before. The dishes with obviously finished meals were not picked up for half an hour, while the place was not too busy and the waitresses passed by a few times. I would love to go back and be pleasantly surprised. 🥺

It's a place we go to often because it's on our way. The plates are very filling and delicious considering the price, and the staff is very friendly. Although we also tried the branch in Vondelpark, I especially recommend Hoftuin.

Alojarnos en Utrecht, hicimos una excursión de un día a Amsterdam. Tomamos un crucero por el canal y nuestra guía recomendó esta pequeña joya escondida como un lugar que le encanta ir. Había asistido a la universidad en Amsterdam y le encantó tanto que se quedó. Fue un poco difícil de encontrar (caminamos por un vestíbulo del museo para llegar al patio cuando se encuentra la cafetería). Recomendaría encarecidamente obtener reservas ya que este lugar es muy popular entre los lugareños. Hacía un poco de frío y había llovido así que pudimos sacar una mesa fuera. El interior estaba reservado. Pedimos las tostadas francesas, las tortitas y el romero. La presentación fue encantadora y la comida era deliciosa! La combinación de sabores fue increíble. También fue muy agradable estar lejos de la zona turística de la gente de masas. El recorrido por el canal y este café fueron los puntos culminantes de Amsterdam para nosotros.

Beautiful place but extremely overpriced for very mediocre food. They don’t know what French toast is I think. The bread was completely dry on the inside and was fried for maybe 7 seconds on only one side. Another dish was two not very well poached eggs just swimming in garlicky yoghurt, with for an extra €5 three very thin slices of halloumi. The flat white was very milky. Disappointing cause I wanted to go there for a long time. The restaurant was empty by the way so it couldn’t have been the pressure.

Placed the order and was allocated a spot outside (on a relatively quiet day). Then I waited for 45 minutes, walked to the bar shivering from the cold and I got the answer: "we didn't get anything", I didn't hear an apology. Last visit.

Ik werd bij het ontvangst hartelijk ontvangen door de gastvrouw die mij een tafel liet uitkiezen naar keuze. Eenmaal aan tafel kreeg ik direct een karaf water op tafel en kon ik mijn gewenste drank doorgeven. Ik koos voor een glas Sauvignon Blanc. Deze was goed fris met een fijne hint van citrusvruchten. Als lunchgerecht koos ik voor de Benny Boy met gemarineerde zalm, inclusief Smashed Avocado als bijgerecht. Het gerecht bevatte geen brioche brood wat vaak voorkomt bij dit type eiergerechten, maar krokante aardappelkoekjes. De knapperige structuur hiervan bracht een andere beleving in positieve zin, hoewel ik toch liever fan ben van brioche brood. Desalniettemin was het een appetijtelijke lunch, waarbij de hollandaise mooi naar voren kwam als overkoepelende smaakmaker. Afsluitend nam ik een dubbele espresso. Echter vond ik deze minder smaakvol, aangezien dit naar mijn mening te zoet smaakte. Mogelijk dat dit komt door het type koffieboon dat hier gebruikt wordt. Al met al heb ik een enorm positieve ervaring gehad met dit etablissement.

This is such a beautiful, calm spot. We came for a late breakfast during the week. Everything was lovely, just I had some very undercooked white beans in my savoury pancake dish, which was a shame as everything else was impeccable.

The service was slow—I had to go inside to order and later again to pay. The tuna melt was disappointing: dry on the inside, overly salty on the outside, and lacked balance overall.

I have been there on Sunday. The service was very slow, it took 45 minutes our orders to arrive and there were tables arrived before us and got their meals after us. I think it was an over crowded period in the service. Portions were smaller than my expectations, autumn toast was served with one egg only.

A really great place to have brunch all day long!

We decided to have brunch here because we’ve seen so many recommendations online. The service was good, we stayed outside because we have not made a reservation and we received blankets. The food was ok, but not great. We ordered two Turkish eggs. One plate had the eggs poached, the other far from it. Poaching an egg should be in the basics of any restaurant kitchen, so that was a bummer.

So there was a sign board that says no walk in and the lady at the door refused to let us in because we had no reservation (fair enough). So I’ve ordered a take out coffee and water, 1 min after I was waiting another couple came walk in and he said he had no reservation but she let him in! Bad!

The coffee was good! We celebrated my friend's birthday here. There was enough space to seat the 6 of us. I disliked the food a lot though. It looks great, but tastes like a lot of sugar or nothing at all. Very disappointed. The staff was kind enough to redo one of the dishes. Not a great place for food, but would come back for coffee.

Wonderful place. Hidden gem actually. Beautiful in the garden of Hart museum behind the names monument. Excellent food and special, there was only a Caesar salad on the menu with sour ones! anchovies. She said it was new. Maybe you bought the wrong jars? Very busy, so everything took a while. Great spot, especially when the weather is nice. It’s tucked away in a peaceful garden, making it a lovely escape from the city. My favorite dish is the one with the hashbrowns. I get in both: in the restaurant and delivery. They’ve nailed the packaging, so it always arrived perfectly. Solid choice for breakfast/lunch. Definitely reserve in advance!

Food is okayish, savoury pancake is actually an omelette and zucchini fritters are made with some sort of powder that you feel on your tongue. it’s quite noisy, and it’s impossible to talk if you sit somewhere near the bar.

Best place for brunch in town. Very quiet location in a beautiful setting that is away from the noise of the city whilst still being very central. Make sure you book ahead especially at the weekend.

The location is good, the food is very normal

A wonderful concept of a restaurant that is run by “Not For Sale”, an NGO that fights against human trafficking and provides support to survivors. It also has a farm-to-table approach and has a refreshing selection of fresh fruit juices, sandwiches with burrata cheese and a lovely atmosphere, especially on a sunny day. Never had such a nasty pumpkin spice latte before. Was a heavily overpowering ginger drink, coffee could not be tasted. Not recommended and it's a shame that this will not be taken into account at checkout if you provide feedback.

I love the diversity of their menu, such an eclectic mix! Although dogs are not welcome in the garden, they are very much welcome in the restaurant.

I visited Dignita Hoftuin twice, once for lunch and once for breakfast, and both experiences were excellent. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly and the food was extremely delicious. We made a reservation before going, and I highly recommend doing so if you plan to enjoy tasty food and delightful coffee since the restaurant tends to be fully booked. It's one of the most delicious places in Amsterdam.

Dignita has changed away from that fancy trendy place it was years ago to a very regular one - they took away some great dishes from the list (e.g. forest dwellers) and others got shrunk in size. Still good location but nothing else special to put it on your must visit list.

Make a reservation in advance because they do not accept walk-in, even if the restaurant is empty. The garden that surrounds the establishment is very cute. The atmosphere is good, and the service has been very good. I ordered an orange juice and a flat white. both were fine. Then I ordered some Eggs Beny, which left me with a bittersweet taste. I did not expect that the base (it looked like a potato rosti) would be so crunchy, that disappointed me a little, although the rest of the dish was good, tasty.

Got the polpette al sugo sandwich and there was no "sugo". The polpette were really tiny and overall the sandwich is very expensive for the size of it. I recommend the chuck norris instead. Nice pumpkin space latte, they have good coffee. Although the reservation, we had to wait 10 minutes. The place is in a special location, the gardens of the hermitage museum, which is the strongest selling point, in my opinion. If you are going for the first time, you should try: 1) pancakes (they change the recipe and the dressings, seasonally) or 2) zucchini fritters (if you are vegetarian) or 3) kimchi toast os chicken sandwich

The place, the breakfast, and the coffee are 10/10. Very good. I strongly recommend the French toast. I have no idea, but it is delicious! The eggs Benedict are as they are, since the Dutch sauce is from them😍 and the staff is very nice and they serve with coffee a small coconut cake that is delicious and melts in the mouth, but unfortunately it is not sold🥹

Dignita Hoftuin 1st, my recommendation to book a table before you go especially on the weekend. Book through the website link mentioned in Instagram A/C. We stayed on the queue for 1:30 hours as it’s super busy. It worth to wait as the food really tasty 😋. We tried the the following: - Benny Boy ( Egg 🥚 Benedict with hash brown) 5/5 - Çilbir & Focaccia ( Poached Eggs with garlic yogurt ) 4.5/5 - French Toast 4.5/5 Well trained staff and they well understand the menu and the recommended for us the dishes. The atmosphere is perfect indoor and I believe the out door seating will be better but it was raining outside. Average per person 20-25 Euros for 3 sharing dishes, Breakfast + dessert Hussain Kuwait 🇰🇼

There’s a seasonal menu so you can never get tired of the food! Always delicious, original, seasonal, organic and local. Excellent service, great vibe and beautiful view of the Hoftuin. I do find the portions quite small, especially for the price, but at least the price is reflected in the high quality of the dishes

The place itself is quite nice. The menu has some interesting things in theory, but in practice they're not done right in my opinion (very bitter matcha, sauce which is unexpectedly spicy or too acidic and completely covers the taste of the fish it goes with).

We loved how nice the staff is and they pay attention to all details, very discreet without being insistent. The space is nice, they have a green garden next to it and the interior ia also very cosy. The food was absolutely delicious and simply gorgeous to look at. Holocaust memorial is just around the corner if you had it on your list to visit, taking advantage that you are in the area as well.

I came here with the recommendation of a friend. Even though I came on a weekday without a reservation, I was shown to my table without waiting in line. But I waited for 35 minutes to order. Just as I was about to give up and get up, my order was taken and the plate was delivered to me incredibly quickly. I have nothing to say about the freshness of the ingredients, but I'm not sure I could find a harmony of taste in the plate. Still, I recommend it to everyone!

I visited this place today, got burnt potatoes and a hard boiled egg for 15 euros. (benny boy). Definitely do not recommend, the staff did not even respond to my complaint.

Very bad eggs benedict. The eggs were overcooked and the potato mixture on which the eggs are served was totally burnt. The service answered our complaint with "ok". The place is very nice, but go elsewhere for a tasty brunch.

No enough staff to take orders or any customers

The quality was substandard. Apple pie and cheesecake both blackened, left in the oven too long. Capuchino was lukewarm, should be much hotter. Too bad, the staff was very friendly, but for better quality we will go elsewhere for a drink next time.

I left a review on Beli so that means I must write one here as well. Highlights: The pancake hands down. Neither too sweet nor eggy; mascarpone was nice too. Beautiful garden area in a reasonably central part of Amsterdam but far away from the touristy parts. Quiet / quaint. Matcha latte was solid. Service was good too. It wasn't crowded but hey Wed late morning what do you expect. Areas of Confusion: The "Not An Avo Toast" toast. The plain pea smash did not complement the plain labne. All in all it could have been more flavorful with some complementary ingredients.

Dont order from this restaurant on Uber eats (never had problem when dining in tho). Ordered Çilbir but it didnt come with the poached eggs, only cold yogurt and two pieces of sad looking bread. I paid 17.90 for that and no refund, no response, no apology

Delicious lunch in a lovely sun-drenched garden full of lovely families with children. Excellent service, good service but above all tasty dishes. Despite the crowds, we really enjoyed it: chapeau!

Food was delicious and the staff did their best given that there seemed to have been an understaffed kitchen today. We unfortunately had to wait quite a long time for both drinks and food. The place is beautiful though and I know the whole experience is usually better so I won't be too harsh on the rating ;)
