5/5 ⭐️ A really lovely breakfast spot! Everything was fresh, nicely prepared, and tasted great. We especially enjoyed the granola with yogurt and fresh fruit, as well as the sourdough toast with scrambled eggs and avocado. The coffee and tea were also very good. The portions were generous and overall everything felt well balanced. Price-wise, I would place Benji’s in the mid-range, but considering the quality, it was definitely worth it. Highly recommended for a relaxed and delicious breakfast! ☕🥑🍓

But please learn how to bring coffee together with the food or later:( now I come at your place hungry, order food and coffee, and stare at the coffee and wait for for the food while its getting cold. I am a big fan of Benji's. The food is fantastically delicious, the coffees are of high quality, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. However, I find the matcha at Benji's to be very disappointing... For anyone looking for a nice lunch, Benji's is definitely highly recommended!

Cute little terrace with good vibes, lots of seating inside and umbrella covered seating outside. We got iced strawberry matcha and and iced latte, both were very tasty. The breakfast burrito was one of the best I’ve had, and the Caesar salad with fried chicken was abnormally good. We also shared the truffle mayo and Parmesan fries, and having had Fabel just yesterday, I can say that these are just as good. Honestly you get more fries so I would prefer these. Excellent all around!!!

Lovely staff and tasty food. No full marks because they didn't clean the table and we had to wait a long time for both drinks (smoothies) and food (smoothies almost gone by the time it arrived). I understand it's lunch time but you should be ready for that, especially as a lunch room.

honestly i don’t know, the food is amazing, the prices are very reasonable, but the waiting time is quite annoying, i waited at the front for 15 minutes, while half of the place was empty and i was choosing from at least 10 available tables outside, other than that the service provided by the waitress was good, just i don’t understand where the waiting time comes from, no one came to me and said something, i was just ignored for 15 minutes

It is an extremely dog friendly place. You can find a place at any time without any reservation. We had the Beef steak sandwich and Pandan french toast. Each dish tasted amazing. The beef was juicy, and went quite well with the spicy mayo. The pandan cream complimented the french toast. To end we had a coconut sorbet affogato.

Visiting the OG Benji’s Having been to the Amsterdam-West branch before, I wanted to see how the original on Wibautstraat compared. The vibe is exactly what you expect: a relaxed, jungle-like interior packed with greenery. What I ordered: 🥑 Smashed Avo: Served on tasty sourdough toast with everything-bagel seasoning, lime, chili flakes, and microleaves. Balanced flavors and a generous portion. - Sides: Added the creamy, cheesy scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Which were great additions. 🍋‍🟩 Iced White Tea: Infused with lime and mint. Light, refreshing and not too sweet. The Verdict: - Quality: Consistent presentation and food quality across branches. - Service: The crew is friendly, quick and keeps things running smoothly even when the place is packed. - Overall: It gets busy for a reason, but the team handles the rush well. Consistent with their other locations.

We loved this place so much we came here two days in a row! We tried a huge variety of the menu: the breakfast burrito, salmon avocado teriyaki, Bali cheese steak, prawn egg toast, pandan French toast, and the scone. Visually, every single dish was stunning and Instagram-worthy, and for the most part, everything tasted amazing. A couple of dishes could have used a touch more salt to really make the flavors pop, but it didn't take away from a great meal. The coffee is also excellent. Highly recommend checking out the Benji’s Oost location!

First of all everyone is super friendly, welcoming and helpful. And the food was really incredible! We took two salmon options: toast with marinated salmon and bagel with smoked salmon and they were both 10/10! We will definitely go back!

We came in at 12:55 and needed to track down the waitress because she didnt come to us for between 10 and 15 minutes. After that we ordered food and drinks but got one coca cola after 10 minutes!! Also food was awful, looked okay but tasted bad and not flavoured with any spices. Pommes with truffle and parmesain was not salted at all. Also we ordered food at 13:10 bit got the food at 13:45. Also bread in the bali cheese steak was old and because of that was hard as a rock and then it was toasted and became too hard. All together it is very understaffed and for 70 euros very nad experience

There was a queue at the door. I think we waited around 15 minutes. I don't usually prefer avocados but I wanted to give them a try here and I really liked them 🌟 But I think the portion was a bit large.

Very good, but be warned, there's very little sweetness...almost none at all. The service, however, is lacking... a long wait (20 minutes outside the restaurant even though tables were available) because the staff are chatting amongst themselves and with their friends, ignoring the customers waiting to order. Too many staff, but not enough efficiency. A shame. Kudos to the kitchen staff.

Shocked & upset with the service at Benji’s. Had to visit twice within 1.5 hours as granola was not available on my first visit. I came back when they said it would be ready and guess what? Still no granola. Ordered the bowl with peanut butter and paid extra. Guess what? No peanut butter. Not going back a third time today to chase a missing add-on. At €18 for an açaí bowl with nothing in it, the least you can do is try to accommodate the customer. This didn’t meet that standard

The granola and avocados were amazing, and the staff is really nice. We didn’t get to sit inside because it was full (Sunday morning) but the terrace offers a pretty nice atmosphere as well.

Lovely place! The staff was super sweet and welcoming. I got the avocado toast and it was quite good. The matcha was made too strong for the size, but a bit of sugar evened that out. I loved the atmosphere. Even on a rainy day, it felt bright and cheerful inside.

First of all, it's very expensive. After paying 54 Euros for 2 sandwiches, 1 serving of fries, 1 iced tea, and 1 coffee, the product you receive doesn't justify the price. The food is tasty, but the prices are almost 50-60% higher than what you'd expect in the city.

Went here for brunch. The place was packed but we we didn’t have to wait very long for a table. The food presentation was nice and the food tasted allright. The atmosphere at the restaurant was allright, it was kinda noisey and the seating is cramped. But it’s a good place to grab a nice looking bite. The staff was friendly.

Benjis is a small chilled bristro that has a variety of delicious foods. I ordered the Avo smash and the salmon teriyaki and it was by far one of the best breakfast places in my opinion.

For me, it's a must-try. Every time I visit Amsterdam, I come here for brunch. And every time, I order an Eggstraordinary 😋. This dish is simply perfect! It alone justifies the queue. In fact, the queue is a testament to the quality of the place. Aim for 11:00 sharp because after that it gets crowded. I would also add the friendly and welcoming staff. I highly recommend it!

Food is plain and very simple. Portions are small. The service is a joke, i felt like the waitress was bothered that she has to take our order. They just talk between themselves and you wait 20 minutes to order drinks... it was not even that busy.

We had a disappointing experience during our visit. My chicken katsu sandwich was excellent, but my partner’s Bali cheese steak was served cold. Unfortunately, while cutting into her sandwich, she also found a long strand of hair in the food. She was very hungry, so she continued eating, but when we brought the issue to the server’s attention, our concern was completely dismissed. The server went to the kitchen holding the hair and appeared to be laughing about it with colleagues, which was quite unprofessional and uncomfortable to witness. It’s a shame, because the food itself had potential, but the service and handling of the situation left a really poor impression.

Tried it for breakfast and approved, except for the price, which is really too expensive (around €13 for a hot drink and a pastry). There are vegan and vegetarian options, the setting is nice, I recommend it 👌🏻

Benji’s in Amsterdam is a nice little spot with a cool vibe, but honestly not really worth all the hype. I ordered a matcha and the egg brioche sandwich. The food was ok, nothing bad but also nothing that really stood out. I ended up walking 45 minutes to get there, which made it feel a bit underwhelming in the end. That being said, if you’re in the neighborhood it’s definitely worth checking out once. The place has a nice atmosphere and it seems like a good hangout spot, especially if you live close by. But if you’re planning to travel far just for it, I’d probably say skip it ; there are plenty of other cafés in Amsterdam that are just as good if not better.

Good spot for breakfast/brunch. I got the ceaser toast, found the bread to be rock solid and no butter, chicken was pre cooked a heated up lewkwarm. Dish looked great but lacked in flavour and taste. Fresh orange juice was great and staff were lovely

Bali Cheese Steak from the specials menu was a 10/10 burger. Perfect amount of spice, and extremely flavourful. I considered getting a second one but my stomach declined because it had no space left. Highly Recommend ✅✅

I went today at noon and ordered the guacamole and egg toast and a cappuccino. Everything was spectacular, as was the attention of the tall waiter who served me. I just wanted to say that I'm an Argentinian in love with a Dutchman, haha. Whenever I want to go to Argentina, I have company for a tour of Buenos Aires.

You're only allowed into the building/patio after a (long) wait until one of the staff members sees you and comes to the entrance. Multitasking and a warm welcome are difficult. There's also a long wait for further service. It's more pleasant to chat at the coffee corner. The service is also curt. This was Friday, September 5th, around 12-13 PM.
