Benji's in Weesperzijde

We went for brunch on a Friday. Very friendly staff, a pleasant atmosphere, and delicious food. It was a bit noisy; a little investment in soundproofing would be nice; with moderately busy tables, it's difficult to have a conversation at a normal volume. We highly recommend it.

The only negative point is the wait...but it's so good!

I think the service just wasn't in the mood to work today. For a 14-euro double toast, you got a small piece of bread... It's kind of a shame, because the café has so much potential, and the coffee was bland and cold.

Food was good, not what I expected based on pics shared. The cook was opening the smoothie bags with his teeth which is very unsanitary. Also if you eat with a group of friends they don’t allow you to split or separate the tab.

I loved this place, after going through multiple places for breakfast, this was one that was clearly above the rest, reservations available, staff was super polite and professional, I cannot wouch for the avocado salmon toast enough, that was amazing. If you happen to pass by, go here. 😊👌🏼

The food is so so good, the smoothies are fresh and the service is beyond amazing. They're fast as well, despite how full the place can get. I would happily eat here every day.

There's a wide selection of food. "EGG EXTRA ORDINARY" is my favorite. The staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is great. The prices are reasonable; if you want good food, you'll have to dig a little deeper into your pockets ☺️

Nice place for a brunch, the food is really delicious! The choice of each ingredient makes the difference, I was pleased to see that everything is 'homemade', even the burger bun. On the negative side get ready to pay the price of Amsterdam tho! The glass of latte for example was soooo small and expensive for that amount :( hope they will improve it

Everything you can order here is sooooo delicious! And the presentation is also beautiful to see! Furthermore, very sweet service, even when it is very busy. Cozy atmosphere!

We went there on a Saturday around 12. We only had to wait 5 minutes until we were offered a table inside. The staff was so friendly and forthcoming. Service was quick. We ordered the French toast and the avocado on sourdough bread. Bothe dishes were delicious. I can only recommend stopping by this place when you are in Amsterdam.

Seriously, cancel your plans, grab your tote bag, and RUN—not walk—to this slice of brunch paradise. And now. Let’s talk about the queen, the legend, the one and only… Sara. WITHOUT AN H. That’s right—because she doesn’t need an H to be an absolute icon. This woman isn’t just a waitress. She’s a culinary fairy godmother, a brunch sorceress, a beam of radiant human sunshine with the speed of a Formula 1 pit crew and the comic timing of a Netflix stand-up special (even wore a ferrari t-shirt). She was: So nice, we wanted to invite her to our wedding. So fast, she practically teleported with our food. So funny, we laughed like we were at a Kevin Hart show. The vibe? Aesthetic overload. Plants. Sunlight. Smiles. It’s like your Instagram feed had a baby with your dreams. We literally had to hold back tears. Yes, it was that good.

I was in this café 3 years ago and I was really impressed. My current visit was the exact opposite. We waited almost an hour for our acai bowl, which ended up being the opposite of fresh. No fresh fruit, consistency was like a smoothie and had an oily aftertaste. When we asked the service about our order, they said it took so long because everything was fresh, but it wasn't. We also had to wait over 40 minutes for the drinks. Compared to my visit 3 years ago, I am more than disappointed.

The food was great! The experience was sadly narrowed by service, it was very slow and another person and I waited for up to 40 minutes before our meals arrived. There was no information unless you asked or even went inside to check. We didn’t feel very tended to. As said, food is great - do make sure to plan in plenty of time for that visit, otherwise you might be running late to somewhere else. :)

Was slightly empty when visited. But it may be fun when full. Advised to visit morning, early noon.

Nos topamos con este lugar mientras buscábamos el desayuno. Había una pequeña cola afuera, pero esto se movió rápidamente. El personal nos recibió con una sonrisa y todos fueron muy educados. La comida era fantástica con un montón de opciones. Las bebidas eran deliciosas también.

I went early on a weekday. Even though it was very empty, the service was a little slow. But the atmosphere was nice and what I ate was delicious.

Didn't even get to try the food. I cannot stand bad service. Plenty of empty tables, after waiting for a minute or two with no acknowledgement by staff I was told to go back and wait to be seated. Clearly understaffed or rude, I cannot decide which but so happy I decided not to stay and I got a warm welcome at Florentin Brunch. Service poles apart.

Pretty decent little place this. Food very good and service is okay as well. Sat on a window seat, mind though as the surface (table/shelf) is not level and your coffee/breakfast may end up on the floor. Asked for poached eggs, not done there apparently. Always makes me worried when they cannot vary the menu!! Overall good place to eat.

There’s something for everyone! You’ll find everything you want to try for brunch. We tried the French toast—absolutely amazing—and the baked salmon, paired with a glass of Prosecco and an Americano. Just perfect! 👌

Nous avons réservé pour 6 personnes une semaine à l’avance. Les plats que nous avons choisi étaient vachement bons. Mais il y a très peu de choix et la moitié de ceux ci était « sold out » à 10h15 du matin. Ce qui restreint l’expérience puisqu’il reste 3/4 plats et 2 desserts que nous pouvions prendre. Beaucoup de supplément : 2€ pour du parmesan râpé au dessus d’un toast quand même.

Food was super tasty but I feel that there are many tables there and the tables are so close to each other that you can't even walk past. When you are having a conversation you hear everything from all two tables next to you…

I used to enjoy Benjis but the new menu has become so limited. It's basically just a sandwich oriented shop now.

We stayed just up the street from this place for three nights and had breakfast there every day. There’s a very cool urban vibe and the food is fresh and delicious. Highly recommended.

It’s my first time here at Benji’s! We saw it online and the food is good! 😁 I thought they were more choices for brunch but I guess I got overwhelmed of the other videos 🤣 though I got the avocado toast with extra salmon and egg 👍🏻 I loved the mango iced matcha, something new for me.

Nice place for brunch but it tends to get very loud as they is mostly full on sunday morning. No acoustic installations to damp a bit the noise & the noise of the chairs when people stand up. No decaff coffee was available on that day. Not possible to reserve up front and you have to queue in a line (expect 10 to 25 minutes).

Recommend to check the availability of the seats and space before you go. THEY DONT HAVE CAPACITY . This would be very different if i was summer as they can accomodate outst.. We were literally standing for 40 min in front of the cafe to get a table . Of course the staff was lovely and they work so hard to work everything out well. and the food was amazing .. And so tasty and healthy . But my experience was not great as it shows in tiktok and instagram .

Heel slecht. Eten was totaal niet lekker en zag er verpieterd en smakeloos uit. De sla blaadjes waren bruin en de zalm teriyaki smaakte gewoon naar gerookte zalm. Al met al veel te duur voor fantasieloze en vooral smakeloze salades. 46 euro armer en geen fijne ervaring. Vraag me ook af of er überhaupt een chef aanwezig is. Ik zag alleen hele jonge meiden die het druk hadden in de keuken.

The food here was pretty good, and the lattes were as well. The egg sandwich had a great flavor. We liked the sauce on it. The burrata toast wasn’t too notable, and I wouldn’t get it again. It was a short walk from our hotel though. All in all, a very decent option for a good breakfast or brunch spot!

A good brunch spot in Amsterdam if you are willing to wait in line for half an hour. Afterwards the service is impeccable, fast and friendly. Small disappointment with the fairly basic avocado toast, almost “in kit form”. Great gluten free option!

I visited Benji’s today with two of my friends, and the atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming. The absolute highlight was the Caesar salad, which truly dazzles your taste buds and leaves you speechless for a few minutes. Especially when the wonderfully kind Marit is your host 😊

We were unsure about our order when we were choosing our dishes, and the waiter didn't recommend anything for us. We ended up choosing two dishes that had almost the same ingredients, and the waiter seemed very upset before we ordered; I’m not sure why. The food was good, but it could have used more variety to make the meal more enjoyable!

A while ago I had a business lunch at Benji's on Wibautstraat. Tasted great! Then forgot to take/lost the receipt. I then contacted them and they managed to find the receipt (after more than a month) and sent it to me by email. This is good service! Definitely recommended.

Vraiment rien d incroyable... ok les quelques assiettes proposées sont jolies mais à part ça, le cadre est vraiment basique, le personnel aussi froid que la température de la salle... bref allez y si vous logez à moins de 500m mais sinon y'a évidemment mieux plus proche de votre hébergement:-)

The first meal we had in Amsterdam was at Benji’s and it did not disappoint. Limited menu but everything on it is delicious. If you are around Amstel station, do not miss this place! The hot chocolate, salad and eggs- avocado burger was absolutely amazing!!
