My favourite breakfast I had in Amsterdam! Down to earth, affordable, and everything we tried was tasty :)

The experience didn't meet our expectations. It wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. The food was very average and limited, the prices were high, and the quality/price ratio was poor. Don't be misled by the published reviews...

This is one of those places where you linger. Nice jazz in the background, comfortable chairs and a perfect cappuccino. I don't need anything more.

We had breakfast at this place, but didn’t have an overall very nice experience. We chose this place at it was recommended for people with food intolerances. Next to being gluten free, I have severe dairy allergy, and they kept mismatching our orders. It was only 4 of us, and not many people besides us at the place, but they still needed to change our food twice because at first they brought out completely different sandwiches than what we ordered, and then when we asked for a change they didn’t make new ones, just removed the salmon from someone’s sandwich (who doesn’t eat fish at all) and brought it out again. Same with cream cheese in my food that needless to say I cannot eat with my allergies. The portions were small, and the gf bread was literally the same that I can buy in the supermarket, not even toasted. After all the mismatching, they offered a free drink on the house, we chose a mimosa, and they said that’s too much, so we didn’t get anything after all. And in the end we even paid 2,5 euros more than what we should have because they put something extra in the system. Of course, that’s not a lot of money, but just the principle of it is not ideal. The spot itself is cute, but with several intolerances, brunch here was a tragicomic experience.

Under the new owner it has become a worthless place. Unimaginative

After spending a few days in amsterdam, my travel buddy and I agreed that this spot was our favourite lunch on the trip. We felt the prices were very reasonable as well (you can get 2 for 10 euros or 3 items from the menu for 15 I believe?). The ingredients on the sandwiches were extremely fresh and the tomato soup was really good. We enjoyed so much we returned on our last day and it tasted even better than the first time. Only disappointment was that the cat wasn't around lol.

If you're tired of burgers and chips and want something a little healthier and lighter this is the place. The place is small and serves some sort of tapas, the prices are standard, easy to understand because it is based on the number of tapas ordered and not based on the ingredients. With 3 tapas you leave feeling full but you can eat 4 easily.

Really nice restaurant. We went there for brunch and it was delicious.

We were there for breakfast and I was able to get a gluten free option with no problem. The food was very tasty, the service was courteous and friendly. The decor is really beautiful and there are fresh tulips on every table. Toilet is also very clean.

The most fresh tasting food I have had in Amsterdam. I got the mozzarella sandwich and their monthly soup (Asparagus) and it was the perfect amount of food before we went on our canal cruise. In the future I would love to try their breakfast. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. This would be the perfect spot for a meal before or after the Anne frank house, about an 8 minute walk away.

Qué joya de hallazgo. El menú fue considerado, divertido y delicioso. Compartimos el plato de picnic sorpresa y era fresco, sabroso y la sopa era la mejor que había comido. Muy recomendable!

Address tested in February 2018 and again in April 2024. Pleasant, fast service with a smile. The card is still just as good. Gluten-free option. I love that I can choose several small options for good value. I recommend with pleasure!!!

A great place where you can relax in peace. No one disturbs you, and the atmosphere is wonderfully quiet. The food was very tasty, and an extra plus is that you can easily take your laptop with you to work or do homework. Ideal for those looking for a nice, comfortable place to be focused. Definitely recommended!

After we sat down at the table, we were asked to give up the table to apparently "acquaintances" from.... This felt very rude, especially because the people walked in behind us. And after a "friendly" conversation we were asked to wait for the next table or something like that. That's not how you treat customers. I left the "canteen" very disappointed with my son. Perhaps the staff could use a hospitality course.

Cozy place, but average food. They have a nice concept of paying for 2,3 or 4 dishes and choosing anything from the menu. Good opportunity to try various things from the menu. Portions aren’t big, which explains lower prices. I think it’s still a good value for your money. But food isn’t outstanding- in the end, it’s a simple brunch place, no stylish- fancy- servings. Their sandwiches look just like… sandwiches :)

We had a fantastic experience here! The interior is truly beautiful, with many green plants that create a cozy, relaxing atmosphere. It immediately felt very inviting. I enjoyed a delicious salmon sandwich, which was perfectly prepared. The flavors were fresh and well balanced – highly recommended! What was also striking is that the sandwiches here are surprisingly affordable for the quality you get. In addition, we would like to give a special compliment to Valentine, who helped us with great kindness and professionalism. Her smile and positive attitude made our experience even more enjoyable. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and created a nice atmosphere. In short, an absolute must for those looking for a cozy place with tasty food and great service. We will definitely come back here!

The service staff were very friendly and accommodating. We chose the PIQNIC lunch option. The soup was served hot - great! The rest of the portion, including the bread, was enough for two people. The bread view was nice and warm and there was also a small selection.

Nice café/bistro with a large selection of combination options for snacks. There are a variety of soups, panini, sandwiches and desserts. I would opt for more rather than too little, as they are a bit smaller, but perfect for sharing and trying out. The pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff also invite you to linger.

Super cozy spot with wonderful staff, in the middle of the gorgeous Jordaan area. I enjoyed the October specials: pumpkin soup and pumpkin feta quiche. Highly recommend.

My wife has celiac and I’m so glad we gave Piqniq a try- great GF food and overall outstanding service.

Went for a gluten free lunch today. Received a lunch board with quiche with gluten! Since I have celiac disease, I mentioned this and yes: gluten. Okay can happen. But then instead of making a new one, the quiche was removed and put back on the table with the gluten crumbs still in between…. It did not give me any peace of mind about cross-contamination even though I had expressly added this to the comments. If they don't make a new one and put it back, there is apparently no knowledge of cross-contamination at all. Then don't offer gluten-free. When I indicated that I was really getting sick from a breadcrumb, no one batted an eyelid or blushed. You don't want to be difficult at such a moment, but this is really not possible for someone with celiac disease. €54 euros further. Lunch board of 19 euros per person was not that much and now I am sitting on the couch at home with a stomach ache…. I've had myself eating this again. Too bad for a place that puts gluten-free on the menu, but apparently has no idea.

Concept of small sandwiches, soups, quiches to choose from 2, 3 or 4. Or à la carte. Healthy, homemade cuisine. The baguette is excellent (and it’s rare outside of France!) Perfect for lunch! Friendly welcome

The cutest cafe ever. We went for lunch and the server recommended us to pick out two to three items per person. Which was ideal since their individual portion is smaller than what we were used to. Every item we got was a hit. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try a lot of items without being overly stuffed. Also there is a sweet and wonderful resident cat that naps inside the cafe.

A cute cafe with great and high quality breakfast. There is a feel-good atmosphere. Everyone is very, very nice and accommodating. And tomcat Pedro also takes excellent care of his guests :) We're always happy to come back every year. UPDATE 2024 A very sweet café with great food when the old owner was still there. With the change everything was cut back which had a negative effect on the food. The portions are noticeably smaller, but the prices are just as expensive. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back, even though we've been regulars for years.

Comimos aquí un par de veces para el desayuno mientras nos alojamos en las suites del Adam. El personal, la comida y el ambiente era perfecto. Bien hecho.

Unter der vorigen Besitzerin waren wir jahrelange Stammgäste und es war immer ein Traum. Vor ein paar Monaten dann wurde es von einer neuen Dame übernommen. Seitdem ist es von einem charmanten Café zu einem 08/15 Dschungel verkommen. Das alte Team war zauberhaft, das neue Team ist nahezu unfreundlich und scheint noch nie in der Gastronomie tätig gewesen zu sein. Die neue Chefin selbst ist schlecht gelaunt und grüßt nicht. Das schlimmste allerdings ist was sie mit den vormals leckeren Speisen und Getränken gemacht hat. Alles ist qualitativ und quantitativ nicht mehr gut und es schmeckt einfach nicht mehr. Vom Kaffee bis zum Pfannkuchen, man schmeckt dass alles durch viel billigere Zutaten ersetzt wurde und nichts mehr wie zuvor mit Liebe gemacht wird. Wir sind so traurig darüber.

I loved having breakfast here. The place is very cosy and the staff is wonderful. Everyone was smiling and cheerful, which made my lazy and sleepy morning a lot better. There was a cat sleeping on one of the seats 😍 the food was delicious made with fresh ingredients. I was there on a Monday morning and most tables were taken, which only shows that it's a place serving good food and popular regardless of the time and day of the week.

According to google maps it is open on Saturday but it was closed when we got there at 9:50! Please provide correct information about your opening time.

Had brunch here one morning with my wife. Great chill vibe and delicious food. They played jack Johnson and similar songs on the radio. There was a cat sunning in the window. The cheese sandwich was odd to me as an American but I throughly enjoyed it actually. Definitely worth a stop and the rest of the neighborhood is amazing as well.

Ingenious concept, good execution. We had a lovely lunch here on a Monday. Staff accommodated us during lunch even though we had no reservation. We had the 3 items each option which was the perfect amount for us. Everything that we had was yummy, wish there was slightly more variety. Go here for a charming and cosy lunch. 😃👍

It appears as opened in google maps but is closed today. Places that offer products for people with restrictions should have in my opinion, better attention to inform in advance about closings.

Great lunch place just slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. Great food - the tomato soup was to die for - with friendly service and relaxed interior.

The highlight is definitely Pedro, the café cat who keeps you wonderfully company. But the food and the brunch concept were also excellent. We had a wonderful time with the incredibly friendly staff.

Had a delicious meal at PIQNIQ. Nice location, easy to reach from station. However, in terms of price-quality ratio, the portions were either a little on the small side or the price was just too high. However, that did not change the quality of the food which was delicious.

A little disappointing considering the reviews posted. It's good and fresh but the granola wasn't generous with granola, the waffle wasn't generous with mascarpone... we did it once but won't do it again.

Lugar muy local, buscábamos comida típica del país y fue justo lo que encontramos. Muy tranquilo, agradable y con mucho encanto. El servicio muy bueno y la comida increíble. Spontaneously requested a table for 2 for breakfast by email the evening before and received the confirmation in good time the next morning - thank you 🙏🏻 We were there at 9 and were allowed to decide what it would be... So a salmon roll and a muesli "OATMEAL PORRIDGE" and delicious drinks. As soon as the drinks were brought, we were visited by the house cat, who strolled over us to her place in a relaxed manner, very sweet :) The food was excellent and so was the service, as was the entire environment. Maybe & hopefully we'll meet again soon! Thank you 🤗

Best breakfast in town, worth the price for us. Very good coffee and homemade lemonade. However, you have to be lucky to get a spot, which is quite limited and sought after.

Location -Cute and quaint location. Portions -Choosing 2-4 options of food. Portions are small but combine to a good amount (appetizer size). Taste - Everything I had was very delicious. Soup of the month, thai soup, ginger shot, tuna sandwich, salmon sandwich and quiche was fantastic!

Home cooking, varied, tasty and delicious. Very warm welcome and nice concept to discover a small and varied portion. Reasonable price. Small space so if there is a noisy person it is not easy to communicate. + presence of a cat!
