Sfeervol restaurant en de biening erg jong. Je kunt a la carte of onbeperkt eten. Wij hebben voor a la carte gekozen. Het was heerlijk en eenvoudige gerechten.

I went to this restaurant last Friday with my husband, and sadly, it turned out to be the most expensive dinner I've ever had, not because of the price, but because I lost my gold diamond ring there. The service was extremely slow, despite the restaurant not being busy. We waited over 20 minutes just for a beer, and several guests who arrived after us were served before us. The worst part: my ring was left behind on the table by accident. I had taken it off to show my husband, and assumed he’d pick it up when I left before him, but he didn’t. We realized and drove back, but it was already gone, table cleaned bu the servers. Staff said no one found it, even though there were hardly any guests after us and it wasn’t hidden or hard to spot. I left my contact information, hoping someone would at least call if it turned up. But we never heard back. This kind of carelessness and lack of accountability is unacceptable, especially when it involves something so valuable and sentimental. I’m deeply disappointed, and sincerely hope the staff take greater care in the future, both with customer service and with the handling of lost items.

Mijn vriendin was hier een aantal maanden geleden geweest en was erg over Grillig te spreken. Toen hadden ze nog de tablets om te bestellen dit was nu weer een kaart geworden. De kwaliteit van het eten was minder geworden. Er zaten ook zeker lekkere gerechten bij maar wij zouden niet zomaar meer terug komen. Op de bediening was overigens niks aan te merken.

Delicious food, only would like more ice cream on the menu. Enough desserts, but I missed the ice cream.

We hebben heerlijk gegeten bij Grill-ig 's-maandags 12 mei op het terras. Prima tafels met een goede zit en ruimte. Zowel de voor - als hoofdgerechten zijn van culinaire kwaliteit en mooi opgemaakt / geserveerd. Ze zijn niet te groot zodat je prima van de hele kaart kunt genieten. Een goed concept waarbij je zelf kunt aangeven wanneer je aan een nieuwe gang / ronde toe bent. De bediening is uitermate vriendelijk en meedenkend. Wij hadden een midweek in Landal Kaatsheuvel dat op 20 minuten lopen ligt, Hierdoor konden wij beiden ook van een wijntje genieten. Het is ons zo goed bevallen dat wij de donderavond voor vertrek nog een keer zijn gaan eten. Dit keer binnen omdat het buiten te koud was. Ook binnen een prettige ambiance. Voor ons zeker om nog terug te komen!

We had a wonderful meal at Grill-ig on Monday 12 May on the terrace. Excellent tables with good seating and space. Both the starters and main courses are of culinary quality and beautifully presented / served. They are not too big so you can enjoy the entire menu. A good concept where you can indicate when you are ready for a new course / round. The service is extremely friendly and helpful. We had a midweek in Landal Kaatsheuvel which is a 20-minute walk away. This allowed us both to enjoy a glass of wine. We enjoyed it so much that we went for dinner again on the Thursday evening before departure. This time inside because it was too cold outside. Also inside a pleasant ambiance. For us to definitely come back!

We recently ate here again, we have been there before and were very satisfied until last week, the service was extremely disappointing. Our table was always forgotten and not cleared in time, even though the manager often looked but just kept walking. Even after several times when I indicated that this was really not possible, I only received an apology. In any case, I'll never go there again.

Education and courtesy are not part of this restaurant...Terrible

After a visit to the Efteling we thought we would have a nice dinner at whimsical, the pork tenderloin looks like the soles of shoes, with 2 cold fries as decoration. There was a hair in the plate of mushrooms, and the choice is not really great, we expected more meat instead of fish. It was very disappointing. And yet we expected a lot from it. We expected tapas and not if you order a hamburger you get it on a large bun with some sauce and grilled cheese. The employee said they had changed it and "got better" in their dishes. Once and never again!!! Truly the worst dining experience we have ever had.

Very nice restaurant with a cool concept. The service is very nice, fast and helpful. All in all we had a very pleasant evening.

Prima te reserveren, goed ontvangst en nette service. De prijzen zijn aan de hoge kant, maar je krijgt er toch echt iets voor terug. Het menu is gevarieerd, smakelijk en tegelijkertijd eenvoudig, omdat dezelfde ingrediënten in veel van de gerechten zijn terug te vinden. Niet storen, want het is allemaal smakelijk. Ook het restaurant is smaakvol ingericht en de toiletten zijn op orde. Prima avond gehad!

What a superb meal! We were so impressed by every dish that was served to us. There are so many good things we have to say about this restaurant so I have listed them below 🌟Sensational food - every dish was a culinary delight! We found every taste sumptuous 🌟Wide range of food - different tastes and cuisines to suit all 🌟Excellent value for money - we would never get a meal of this high calibre with the all you can eat element at this price back home in the UK!! 🌟Friendly service, all staff were hospitable, and went the extra mile to make an effort to talk with us 🌟delightful atmosphere and interior - it is decorated very tastefully and in a modern and appealing way. At first we thought maybe it was a bit quiet (we arrived early about 5:30pm for dinner) and we thought background music could be helpful to add some subtle ambience to the quiet environment however it soon livened up and conversation filled the rooms. This meal really made our holiday! We stumbled across it on the last night of our trip and just enjoyed every moment. The staff were so nice and accommodating of our baby and daughter and the fact that we didn’t speak Dutch, offering to translate the menu for us. All in all we were astounded by the rich tastes, flavour sensations, broad and varied culinary skills of the chefs and the overall environment and staff. We couldn’t believe the quality of the meal we got for the price we paid ( perhaps this is because we are used to UK prices? ) Thank you for such a wonderful meal experience that we will not forget. A real gem of a find! We hope to return if we are ever back here again in the future.

Super tasty food and very friendly service, we will definitely come back

Zeer teleurgesteld... We gingen hier eten als afsluiting van een vrijgezellenfeest in de Efteling. Er zat weinig smaak aan, kwaliteit van sommige gerechten kon echt veel beter. Andere vrienden hadden "goed gekozen" en vonden hun gerechtjes wel lekker, maar over het algemeen was het het geld dat we betaald hebben niet waard.

Besides the fact that the food is good, you have to pay 6 euros for a bottle of water (0.5L).

On average we eat out twice a week, so I think there is some justification. In short, this had nothing to do with food. Bad, worse, worst and then comes this.

It was very disappointing for us. I can't place the combination and flavors of some dishes. The quantities per portion of the cold starters are also very small. E.g. tuna 3 filter thin slices Salmon tompoes cube of 3/3 cm The replacement for sushi, that dish with white fish could be quite tasty, but the sauce overpowered everything. Main course were okay The white fish was especially tasty The meat was disappointing again. For example, lamb chop had a lot of fat. Sate was more like satay sauce that was way too overpowering on the meat I cannot prove it and of course I will never know, but my wife became very ill after dinner and spent the whole night on the toilet whether it was the food or not, but it is strange. The other day nothing happened anymore. Ps for 2 people with drinks eur 130.00 I didn't think it was worth it But not worth repeating.

The food itself is tasty, there is a lot of variation per dish and not every dish is equally tasty. The pizza wasn't it either. Every dish contains bean sprouts, which is sometimes a lot. The food looked great, but the taste was disappointing and they were quite simple dishes. There is sufficient variety of choice in the menu. There are some nice combinations and flavors. The salmon sashimi is awful. See the photo. It falls apart because it is so thin (it looks like it has been shaved with a cheese grater). Rather 1 less or completely off the map. The staff is very friendly and helpful! We did have some problems with it taking a long time for you to order/for the food to arrive. I have no idea whether this is because placing the card on the table is too unclear or whether there was something else. It took at least 20-30 minutes before they came to take the order, after which it took another 20-30 minutes at the beginning of the evening for the food to arrive. The thing is that the staff was very nice and agreed that we could ultimately order 2 dishes. But we still didn't go home feeling completely full. Which I think is a shame for unlimited food for which you pay 41 euros per person. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good. It looked very nice!

New concept but also good, plenty of choice and everything tastes great

Last year top restaurant. Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated considerably. Food was really bad. Burnt dishes and the taste of the non-burnt dishes was really not good. Even the fries were not fried properly (what could you possibly do wrong with that??!) After 2 hours we had only received 2 dishes (we were like 4 people) so in terms of speed it was just bad. We spent €180. Really a waste of money!!! What is very positive is that the service is friendly, toilets were clean and the restaurant is nicely decorated.

What we got to eat was good. Only four tapas dishes in 2 hours, which is very little. Wait half an hour for each dish and then say something with the excuse that yes, we are busy. No, no staff, that would have been the correct answer. Then don't take all the tables. Not recommended unless you are on a diet.

Very friendly welcome and also very friendly help and provided with all the goodies on the menu. The drinks also came through well and we enjoyed it very much. Cozy atmosphere and the food was to die for. We'll be doing it again soon!

We had dinner here during our stay in Kaatsheuvel. We think the concept of the restaurant is very nice and original, especially because the dishes are personally recorded and you can have a nice chat with the friendly service. The food was fine, although we expected a little more quality for the price. The restaurant itself is attractive and cozy, although we found the lighting at our table to be a bit dark. What we especially appreciated is how child-friendly the service is. Our children were even allowed to make their own ice cream in the kitchen, which they really enjoyed. All in all a great experience, and we would definitely eat here again!

We had not been here for years because it had deteriorated. Tried a new concept on Friday, really great. Delicious food, friendly hostess, rounds came smoothly, can only give 5 stars.

You can eat in peace. No noise, you can have a quiet conversation. The food was good. Service was really great. They came to you at the right times to place your order.

Was impressed with the quality of both the food and service. Was served one of the best Rib Eye steaks I have ever had; it melted in my mouth. It was fun to try different Dutch foods, and the restaurant itself was relaxing. We spend nearly 2.5 hours eating and never felt rushed.

Fijne bediening, goede service en heerlijk eten. Porties zijn goed in balans, waardoor je veel verschillende dingen kan eten! Aanraders zijn sowieso de ossenhaas puntjes en het Pornstar Martini desert. Wordt goed gedacht aan kinderen. Kleurplaat, porties, kale pasta, toetjes beker en speciale tarieven!

Discovered this restaurant by chance, after looking for a restaurant. (We were passing through) The first thing I noticed was the decoration outside. Now beautifully decorated around the holidays. It's about the food. At first I was a bit skeptical about the size of the dishes. We could conclude that this was fine. Also the speed of serving, chapeau. The service was nothing to complain about. Delicious food, highly recommended. If we are near Kaatsheuvel again, she will definitely arrive again.

After a magical day at the Efteling, we decided to have a bite to eat at Grill-ig in Kaatsheuvel on Monday, and what a great choice that was! The restaurant recently introduced a new concept, and we were really impressed. What makes it extra special is the unlimited menu: per course you can enjoy one dish of your choice (excluding side dishes), and you can order unlimited items throughout the evening. This gave us the freedom to try as many different dishes as possible, entirely according to our own wishes. The dishes were really for yourself, tasty and full of flavor. Each dish was prepared with love and had a beautiful balance of ingredients. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the very enthusiastic and friendly service completed the experience. We will definitely come back here and can highly recommend Grill-ig to anyone who enjoys good food in a relaxed atmosphere. It is a unique experience that you should not miss!

Hier toevallig langs gereden en men had gelukkig plaats. Hele vriendelijke man die ons naar de tafel begeleiden en ons uitlegde hoe het daar werkte.we kregen te horen dat wel die dag de laatste dag was dat ze tapas ala carte opzet hanteerde. Vanaf november ging het voortaan iets anders, dus we gaan nog eens terug. Echt heel heel lekker gegeten alles heerlijk gepresenteerd vriendelijke bediening en mijn dochter vond een van de obers ontzettend leuk ( een jonge hele lange knul). Prijs ook goed. Een dikke 10 voor alles. Als het nieuwe opzet net zo lekker is komen we zeker op kort termijn weer eens terug. Helaas heb ik.geen fotos ervan. Ga er langs en je kunt zelf beoordelen

Whimsical, has renewed their concept. Still in tapas form, (if I can still call it that). But the dishes have become a bit bigger. The qualities of the dishes have been taken to a higher level. And there is no lie about that. It was delicious and the plates were also very nicely presented. Service and customer friendliness was good. In short, a delicious meal and no rush, time is taken for you. And there is plenty of parking space. And atmosphere is good too.

We were there during the first weekend of the new concept. Quality of the food has improved significantly from a while ago. Clearly freshly prepared instead of warm-up dishes. We will definitely come back!

Had dinner at Grill-ig yesterday with two couples. Upon arrival it took some time (10 minutes) before our drinks were taken, after which it took another ten minutes before one beer and one wine were placed (other couple was late). We thought it could happen. Unfortunately, this trend continued throughout the evening In summary: twice I had to ask whether the food and drinks had passed. This considering the fact that we had to wait 45 minutes every round. After which taking each order (after we had placed the menu upright as a signal that we had made a choice) also took another 30 minutes. In the end we drove past McDonald's because we were not full. And that for 65 euros per person. Too bad because the food was delicious!

We are incredibly sorry that we ate here. Price-quality is not right at all. You can taste the food straight away from the freezer. The service is also really unfriendly and stinks of smoke. (Cigarettes) We had to wait a long time between our dishes. We also thought we would have something to eat here after the Efteling. If only we had never done that...

We ate here on the first day of the new concept and it was great! All dishes were delicious, the service was incredibly sweet and customer-friendly and the restaurant itself was neatly organized. We will definitely come back again!

Good food. Pleasant. It's just a shame that many (of which there were at least 6) dishes were not available. Now it can always happen, but the fact that this is not made up for in any way is a missed opportunity. Not really a reason to go again.

Food is reasonable, not everything is tasty, but the steak tips are very tasty and you get quite a lot, sometimes the steak is overcooked, which tastes dry. I also had some Babi pang jang but the meat was not tasty. With some dishes I had the feeling that they had just been thawed from the freezer, especially the shrimp in garlic sauce, there was also moisture in the bowl with the sauce.

You are no longer welcome 2.5 hours before closing time

Grill-ig is van binnen redelijk ruim opgezet. Je zit niet zo dicht op elkaar en is ook niet heel massaal. Hoewel het dus een tapas/all you can eat concept is, is het zeker geen vreetschuur: Het doet aan als een normaal restaurant. Er loopt ook vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel rond, dus dat is ook prima in orde. Bestellen gaat via de tablet, waarbij er een kwartier wachttijd tussen de bestellingen dient te zitten. Bestellingen komen niet perse in één keer aan tafel, maar alles was (bij ons) in ieder geval wel telkens compleet. De gerechten waren over het algemeen prima. Een paar kleine negatieve dingetjes (kei harde meloen, nacho's die wel erg donker waren), maar vooral ook een aantal zeer positieve. Met name dat het vlees & de vis erg goed bereid waren en ook gewoon goede stukken/moten van een fatsoenlijke kwaliteit. Qua smaken wat alles prima. Niet avontuurlijk en wel een tikkie zout. Wat wel even een 2 punten aftrek oplevert: 6,10 Euro voor een halve liter water is afzetterij. Zelfs bij een restaurant met een Michelinster rekenen ze nog niet zo veel voor het water. Maar goed... in zijn totaliteit hebben we prima gegeten voor een leuk prijs! Grill-ig gaat overigens per november naar een nieuw concept over: Een all you can eat a-la carte concept. Gezien de menukaart die al online staat vooral grotere porties met wat extra aankleding van de huidige gerechten.

Great tapas restaurant, but a bit on the pricey side.

Hier geweest na lange tijd maar dit was een regelrechte teleurstelling. De combinatie van smaak was vreemd, garnalen waren niet gebakken maar gekookt. Het was het allemaal niet helaas.

Good ambiance, fast service and friendly staff. However, the food was tasteless and all the meat was far too well done, making it dry. You really pay too much for what you get here. Unfortunately no more repeats for me.

They closed at 10 we arrived just before 8.15 and would not seat us because they said that it was a 2 hour eating experience. Were not apologetic came across as cold and rude.

How ridiculous that this restaurant has no air conditioning. After all, it is 33 degrees. The boy at the counter did his best. But it is clear that the owner gives a shit about his customers/employees.

Food was delicious, service was friendly and professional. We come to eat more often.

It started off wrong with there being dead flies on the table and cutlery. There was also something dirty on the table leg. Just didn't want to know what it was. Brrrr. I was there with 3 children who were tired, perhaps not the best place to sit, so you stayed seated. I would have been better off leaving. The food was downright bad. Nachos had no taste, we indicated that the steak was not tasty and were only told, okay. Poffertjes had almost no powdered sugar on them. Dame blanche was melted and was not chocolate. Strawberries novel without strawberries and a trio of macarons was a duo. Furthermore, the rice with the satay was dry and overcooked, not a whole grain of rice. In short, once but never again. It's a shame that you have to pay so much for it.

Vroeger altijd met veel plezier hier om te eten. Nu krijg je de hapjes gespreid wat erg ongezellig is (lees: 1 persoon krijgt 1 hapje de rest komt een half uur later..) Ook de besturing via de iPad gaat niet altijd even soepeltjes. De hapjes waren wel lekker maar bijv voor zwangere dames moet je goed nadenken wat je wel en niet mag want dit staat nergens aangegeven. Ook drinken erg aan de prijs maar dat is misschien wel logisch in de tijd van nu..

Poor quality food and then the almost 100 Euros that the two of us had to pay hurt. Lovelessly prepared, little taste. Portions far too large for a tapas concept. Nice drive by. Not recommended.

The start was fine, but as the evening progressed the quality deteriorated noticeably. Steak too dry, pork belly too dry. Ordered dishes did not arrive, even after repeated requests. Pity.

I had dinner at this restaurant with about 50 colleagues after Efteling. Things already went wrong when taking orders because the tablets did not work. In addition, an hour and a half later, not everyone had a drink, and therefore no food. The service was very bad. The waiter dropped an entire tray of drinks on my colleague and if that's not enough, at least 4 colleagues including me had food poisoning the next day. There really needs to be an inspection here because apparently the kitchen is not hygienic. I also see several reports of food poisoning after eating at this restaurant and that is really unacceptable!

Management is grumpy. Water in carafe is not possible. Orders are delivered incorrectly and when you ask for something you get a snarl. Pity.

We were 13 people, several people had already had their dish, others had not. Certain rounds did not come and in the end they came at the same time and incompletely. The drinks weren't going well. The quality of the food deteriorated as it became busier. It seemed to us that they have serious staffing problems and that they do not have enough capacity to run a full restaurant.

Hele avond drama met de ipad. Gezellig joh ‘rustig’ uit eten. Alleen maar ergernis gehad. We hebben de eerste 20 minuten al niet kunnen bestellen. Wij hadden een 2u arrangement, dan gaat die 20 minuten al van de besteltijd af! Dit omdat de ipad continue storingen gaf. Dit word dan opgelost met 1,50 korting pp en een extra toetjes ronde. Ik zou me doodschamen als restaurant manager. En toch iets beter met mijn gasten omgaan. Het eten was daarin tegen wel erg lekker. Maar toch een bittere nasmaak aan over gehouden voor het geld wat je mag neertellen!

Just a good restaurant, time between meals was just great. The food and service were TOP. Highly recommended to eat here. Only praise. Went again tonight for Mother's Day. Highly recommended, nothing but praise, what a great restaurant, staff and service.

Food is tasty and they are very fast and it has a good price. It's just very noisy, so relaxed eating is unfortunately not an option.

Friendly welcome by a lady behind the bar. We decided to take a seat on the terrace. After 15 minutes a young man came to explain what arrangements they had. We received a tablet and were able to get started without any explanation, but we could only click on something to order with our nose almost on the screen because of the daylight outside. When the young man was asked to adjust the brightness of the tablet, he wanted to take a look, he said I don't think I can adjust it like that, you can sit inside. However, we wanted to sit outside and indicated that we did not want to eat that way and were able to leave because no food had yet been delivered. If you want your customers to order outside with tablets, make sure it works properly! Worthless and now after several misses I will never come again.

Food was a bit disappointing, but the staff was nice

The food was fine, good food. Unfortunately this came out quickly. I was here for a work dinner with 7 colleagues in total. Unfortunately, 3 of the 7 colleagues at the table became ill after eating. There was a mix of meat, fish and also vegetarian at the table. I only ate vegetarian, but I also became ill together with 2 other colleagues who did not eat vegetarian. Unfortunately, due to this incident we will not be returning.

It's been a long time since we had such bad food. Quality of the dishes was very poor. Little taste, tough meat and little passion in the preparation. Reported on site to the otherwise nice staff. It's a shame that the manager did not make himself heard after reporting the complaint. Too bad, € 90.00 would be better spent. Review following a visit on 21-04-2024.

There is something to be said about the food. There is a wide range, from burgers to fish and vegetarian. Unfortunately the quality of some dishes is not good. For example, my hamburger was cold, the kalamaris did not consist of squid rings but of a pureed substance and my lasagna had a very mediocre taste. The portions, on the other hand, are very large. I personally don't like this as much, but I can understand that this is my own experience. The staff, on the other hand, work very hard and are also very friendly. The food is served on time and there is always someone ready to help you. Grill-ig is in a nice location and the atmosphere is cozy inside. I would come back here if the quality of the food has improved.

Nice meal! Waiting time between dishes was just right. Tasted very good too. Menu is varied and staff friendly. Desserts are a little less special. It's nice that the restaurant is not crammed with tables. Ordering via tablet is convenient. Parking in front of the door or in the parking lot next to the roundabout.

Friendly staff, but often problems with the order tablet. If you are on time you will have delicious food, but when it gets busier the food will be dry and lukewarm instead of warm.

Sharp edges, ears broken off. - Immediately reported the incorrect order (error in ordering drinks) but still charged. So pay attention. It was also noticeable that the drinks are well priced compared to... equivalent restaurants. Specific: We thought it was a moderate but expensive experience. The appearance of the restaurant, on the other hand, is fine.

Because the mushrooms, for example, had garlic that had flown over them, and everything was bland with the exception of the tournedo sauce, which was tasty. Returned food several times and asked for a solution. We sat there for 3 hours, while we could have stayed much longer, but it made us so sad because it was so bad that we wanted to leave. The solution came, what we really wanted was gone. They came with the bill and they were allowed to give a 10% discount on the food, so 7.70. Sorry, that's a really ridiculous solution. So we did not agree either. The old owner had already given advice the day before that there were not enough staff because you could not have everyone come at the same time. Then do something with it, that person has 5 years of experience and wants to help. Then accept this. The customer should not suffer from this. This was so bad. Our evening that we finally had with 2nd was completely ruined by the bad food. Too bad because we came here regularly a few years ago. PS service was very friendly and wanted to help but they were powerless. Some tip for operation. If you take off a table or high chair, don't throw it on the floor, or clean it up, it looked very dirty now.
