Disinterested staff again today. We were the only two customers, but the staff were not customer-focused or friendly at all. After waiting a long time, we called to ask if we could order. We placed our order, but the platter we ordered was nothing compared to the price we paid for it. Besides the disinterested service, we also honestly stated upon payment that the price was exceptional, but then we were met with enormous arrogance. Ugh... so no, not going there again.

A nice, cozy place in the heart of Doetinchem's nightlife. Good, tasty food and very friendly staff.

The Iris coffee at Gringo's is a pleasant surprise. A beautiful, full flavor, well-balanced, and clearly brewed with care. Not too bitter and pleasantly round, exactly what you expect from a good coffee. An absolute must for coffee lovers. ☕

I made a reservation at 6:30 PM and even received confirmation by phone the same day. The table wasn't ready until 7:05 PM because the shifts run until 7:00 PM 🤨 The staff seemed disinterested, and when they served the dishes, they didn't know the name of the dish. If I ordered a brochette de lomo and you called it "skewers" and didn't know if that was the dish listed on the menu, something was definitely wrong. When I asked to pay, I was told, "You'll have to go to reception, you're table xx." The food was fine, but nothing special. However, not all dishes were properly warm because the table wasn't served as a whole, and we were waiting for the last dishes. A silver lining: the cocktails were well-received. All in all, the food was fine, the decor is nice, but the staff we dealt with was subpar.

Nice restaurant but very busy and noisy. Small tables and chairs for big/tall people. The food is okay but not very special. Personally, I won't eat here again anytime soon, but I don't like crowds. In short, not bad, but too busy for me.

I waited fifteen minutes for the menu, then an hour for the appetizer. And then half an hour later, the main course arrived. The rest of the food was good, but because of the long wait, I wouldn't come here again. You also had to speak really loudly to hear each other. During dinner, we could barely see the food because the lights were half dimmed for the DJ.

A man with black hair claimed to be the boss. His line was, "I've been in charge of this company for 30 years," but he acted like a complete idiot in a football bar. He asked us to leave because he had reserved the spot for his buddies. We sat somewhere else, and the spot was also reserved for his other buddies. He was a rude bunch, and the vibe was immediately ruined.

We had a table reservation for 7:00 PM. The staff said it would take 10-15 minutes longer for our table to become available. After waiting 50 minutes for our table, we left.

We made a reservation at 7:00 PM and were told we'd have to wait 10 minutes at the bar, which was fine. After 20 minutes, we were told we were almost ready for our table; guests had just finished their desserts. After 45 minutes, we still hadn't received a table or an update, so we left. The staff didn't seem to care that we were leaving either.

If you book in advance, you can expect them to have a table for you, rather than having to wait at the bar for 45 minutes without any updates.

We had a very good evening at Gringo's. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was fresh and tasty and the atmosphere was cliche Mexican :)

It's nice to be back in a restaurant where the staff genuinely cares about the customers. That's often lacking after the pandemic. We were seen and helped well. This started with a greeting from staff who met us at the entrance but had to proceed to the terrace. We also received plenty of attention at our table. The food was good and the atmosphere pleasant. We will definitely be back.

Today at the Villa Ruimzicht Food Festival, I ate a cheeseburger at Gringos. It was truly disappointing. A cheap, dry, pre-made bun with no sauce. The meat was okay. But combined with one of the worst burgers I've ever eaten.

A somewhat quirky but great place. A hip hangout for the local youth, with relaxed and friendly service, and the only restaurant in Doetinchem that was really packed on a Monday night. The food took a while to arrive, but it was delicious and very well seasoned. I have to go again.

We ate spare ribs, delicious. Only the young waiter came with two lemon slices for our drinks. Perhaps a side dish.

We had a delicious meal, and Grande Tapas is highly recommended. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

We were here for the after party, after a dinner somewhere else. Lots of latin music to dance to, but also Dutch folk, I don't need that. Crowds on the floor, hard to get a cocktail at the bar.

For me the first time, my wife had eaten here a few times before. I can only say that it was great. Good quality and very tasty. Good portions and we didn't have to wait long. Also the prices more than reasonable. We will definitely come back here soon!

The food is very tasty and you can also go there for a drink. Last night was a very unpleasant evening. 4 coats of my son and his friends were stolen. A guarded cloakroom would be very welcome there.

Presentation did not invite you to enjoy a delicious meal. In terms of taste, most of it was also very disappointing. Boring dishes, quesadillas were hard on the edges. Poorly prepared and very dry meat. Both the burger, the spare ribs, the pork tenderloin and even the chicken thighs of several of us were dry and tasteless.

Gezellig dat wel....bediening helemaal prima. Maar het eten was nou niet om vrolijk van te worden, terwijl dat toch echt de bedoeling moet zijn. Een zeer oppervlakkige smaakbeleving van alles wat ik geproefd heb. Een voorverpakte maaltijd uit de supermarkt doet het beter kwa smaakbeleving. We hebben het op de terugweg maar een maag vulling genoemd. Jammer een volgende keer zal er niet meer inzitten. Iets meer passie en liefde voor de produkten zou hier zeker niet misstaan.

For the second time we had a more than delicious meal at absolutely the tastiest Mexican restaurant we have ever been to! We come from Wassenaar especially for this!

Insanely enjoyable meal, staff was hot but food a bit too hot. Flavors don't really land well on my taste buds. So we prefer to sit on our butts at home. The toilet smelled a bit too much of lemon, try lavender next time. The tortillias were not tasty, preferring the exhaust fumes from our tractor.

Been eating here for 20 years and it just keeps getting better

Well, it just wasn't very good. It wasn't dirty, but nothing stood out. The surf and turf skewer was just too small for its price. I can eat much better for the same money.

We came here often, but after not being there for a while, the 4 of us recently went. The group had a delicious meal except for me. Ordered a ribeye med rare. When I cut it open I saw that it was still really strange and I indicated this to the waiter. The ribeye was taken back and 5 minutes later my plate came back. I cut off another piece of the ribeye and it's still rare. With great reluctance I hand it over again and the girl at the counter casually tells me that the ribeye can be returned again. Well sorry this is where my clog broke. I have been working in the kitchen for 14 years and this is really a no go, you cut your ribeye twice and heat it twice... the 3rd time it is really tasteless, all your juices, etc. are gone. The girl contacted her manager and I was able to get a new one, but this would take some time. In the meantime, our group had almost finished their food and I didn't feel like eating it anymore, so I told them to give me some wine on the house to enjoy while waiting and then I would eat it. I didn't want to complain, but the sweet potato on my plate was also undercooked and was still really hard. The tortilla was so crispy that the filling tasted of nothing. And even my cold sauce was warm the 2nd time... I gave it a 2/10 overall... so the fun was gone. Got an apology and that was it. When paying, I paid more than €200 in total and only 1 simple glass of wine was removed as compensation. I would have expected the Ribeye to be taken off the coupon. I hesitated for a while about writing the review, but I chose to do so anyway because lessons can be learned from it.

Gringos is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in Doetinchem! The food is really fantastic, with a wide range of dishes and especially the large pieces of meat are of top quality - perfectly prepared and definitely worth the money. What really sets Gringos apart for me are the cocktails. This is one of the few restaurants where they really know how to make a good cocktail. The flavors are perfectly balanced and you can taste that attention is paid to them. In addition, the atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting. The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome. Whether you come for an extensive dinner or just want to enjoy a delicious cocktail, Gringos is definitely recommended. I will definitely come back here often! 🍹🥩🔥

laatste keer dat ik hier ben geweest. WAT GEBEURD DAAR? Het was veel te druk, keuken kon het niet aan en de muziek stond veel te hard. Veel luidruchtige tafels, tafels staan veel te dicht bij elkaar.We konden elkaar niet verstaan, zat bijna bj de buurtafel op schoot. Gevraagd om een andere tafel, werden toen (moest er echt op staan) helemaal achterin geplaatst, ruim anderhalf uur op het eten gewacht! Mij zien ze daar niet meer

Came here for drinks sometimes, they are very good. This time to eat something. The corn soup starter was interesting, and the Gringo's steak as a main course. Quality of the steak was good, as well as the Malbec! This has been a very popular place in Doetinchem for years, fills up quickly, after which fortunately the music is turned down a bit. Sometimes it takes a while before you are helped. I can also imagine something if it is full on a Saturday.

Had a great meal in a very attractive restaurant. It is very tight if you want to walk, this could have been a little more spacious. But otherwise fantastic.

Delicious food, restaurant looks very nice in Mexican style. The service could come by more often for a drink and it could also be a bit more enthusiastic. The man who brought the food, on the other hand, was doing well. All in all a delicious meal, Quasadilla pulled pork, tasting beforehand and spareribs were definitely recommended.

After an experience several years ago, I invited a good friend who, like me, had to drive about 40 minutes to get there. Ambiance and service staff just good. The food, out of respect for my friend, no complaints, but oh so bad. I was ashamed to have invited him here. I share this with others: don't eat out!

Nice meal. Large portions, we could take the leftovers with us without any problems. There is a separate menu for allergens if you ask, and some things can be adjusted.

Except for the starter, the food was not really tasty or tasty

Unfortunately we did not enjoy the food. Not much vegetarian choice, and those that are are really not special. For example the taco with mushrooms, there was a certain smell to the taco that prevented me from finishing it. This also applies to the 'pizza' which is simply made on a wrap\taco, nothing special.

The ambiance is great, but unfortunately the food is not at the same level. Starter - scallop ceviche - was much too sour, so you couldn't taste anything else. After indicating this, we received a new starter (which, in my opinion, testifies to well-trained staff and makes me give 3 instead of 2 stars). We were also not asked about the desired cooking of the meat. Food is not served at the same time (although there were only 3 of us). The real mockery, by the way, was the plato pescado, where the calamari was indistinguishable from chewing gum. Cocktails are very tasty.

The food is mediocre, for the same amount I have eaten much better. The service is slow, you have to ask for a drink 4 times and then they put it on the bill 4 times even though you only had it once. Atmosphere is noisy, tables are far too close together, you almost think you are sitting at the table with your neighbors. No more second time for me.

Nowadays an ordinary food bar, we came here long before 2000, when it was still a small, cozy and intimate restaurant. Food is ordinary, costs are ordinary and the personal atmosphere has long disappeared. Purely focused on turnover, yuck. Music too loud, everything focused on turnover, not for the personal attention that was so nice at the time.

What a beautifully decorated and good restaurant in the heart of Doetinchem, a true asset to this city, great service and a very extensive menu, the cocktail menu is also highly recommended, including delicious frozen cocktails. There are affordable children's menus for the children. We will definitely come back again.

Nice place. However, eating with a group is a big challenge for them. We waited almost 2 hours for our main course. Luckily we were out for a night so it was fun. Finally got a main course at 9.15pm which was okay but no more than that.

Gringo's has been around since the end of the last century. It is now one of the largest restaurants in Doetinchem. This is a great place for delicious Mexican food. Don't expect Michelin stars, but nice dishes and a somewhat clichéd Mexican atmosphere. The staff is friendly and regularly asks how things are going and if anything is needed.

Lekker gegeten. Tevens keuze uit vega. Het is een groot restaurant. Wc’s waren schoon. Personeel aardig. Handig met afrekenen; er was een apart loket.

Voor zaterdagavond een tafeltje besproken. Wat me opviel bij het zitten is dat de tafeltjes vrij dicht op elkaar stonden. De serveerster vroeg ons zonder gedag te zeggen om onze drankjes, en keek daarbij niet erg vrolijk. Toen wij ons eten kregen, wat overigens vrij goed was viel op dat de muziek al wat harder stond dan eerder. De serveerster hebben wij na het eerste drankje bijna niet meer gezien, gevolg lege glazen. Bij het dessert stond de muziek inmiddels zo hard dat ik mijn tafelgenote niet meer kon verstaan. Ik ben zelf naar de bar gelopen om af te rekenen. Goed eten, maar de gastvrijheid is hier slecht te noemen. Voor mij de laatste keer Gringo's.

Food was good, but not great. Quite pricey for what you got. A beer for almost €6. I think it's a bit exaggerated. Service was fine. Atmosphere is good, but tends towards a massive food shack.

We often came to this establishment, but today we were simply surprised. We ordered 4 wines, then the waitress came to us and said that one of the ones we ordered was not available and that we should choose another, we chose another and were given 5 points with wine, although we ordered 4. After that, in one of the glasses of red wine, we saw some sediment and it was probably some kind of sugar or mud, it was not clear. And in the end, we already settled and saw in the receipt that we were given the wrong wine, we ordered for €8, but it was brought for €6, it was also not bad, but it was not what we ordered. We were very disappointed with the customer service, although the establishment is not bad

I had a great time, although the company probably also contributed to this... :) The place is very cozy, it perfectly combines the atmosphere of a small restaurant and a pub. It's a little narrow, a little dark, but because of that, it's familiar and friendly. I would gladly recommend it to anyone who likes Mexican food and fine wines!
