Wine tasting with Sommelier Paul. Very nicely organized, and the pairing with accompanying snacks was well-chosen.

We had a delicious and pleasant meal at Ruimzicht, restaurant Lokaal. We had a surprise menu and were certainly not disappointed.

We had a delicious meal, friendly service, and excellent wine advice, but… the staff was very stressed. The dishes arrived so quickly that they waited with the next course until we'd finished our last bite. We were served by at least ten different people. All of this made it rather uneventful. Furthermore, the prices were quite high. All in all, not a bad idea, but also not recommended.

We had a fantastic afternoon. We had everything we needed, in every way. We'll definitely be booking a wine tasting next year!

A truly beautiful building, with a charming and inviting atmosphere. We had a table in the "Bar and Bites" section, which was also wonderful. Well, what more can I say? The food was sublime, very tasty, and beautifully and neatly presented. No negative comments from me!

We found the food bland and not satisfying. The duck dish was good, though. The night before, we had also eaten the six-course menu at Orangerie de Pol. The food there was truly brilliant, and we were quite full. We also didn't receive any amuse-bouches at Lokaal. During the second course, we asked for the wine list, as we were supposed to receive it earlier, but that didn't happen. We also didn't receive an explanation of the bottle of wine we ordered. The explanation of the dishes was good. You could also tell the person who served them was enthusiastic. That was excellent. However, there were still some areas for improvement.

A very nice evening spent in this restaurant, beautiful atmosphere, refined and tasty dishes, and a very warm welcome, impeccable service. Reasonable price for the quality of the meal with a 9-course menu for less than 100 euros. We will be back!

The acoustics are completely inadequate, or below the standard of a so-called top establishment like Ruimzicht. We had a banh mi, the filling of which was delicious, but the bun was the wrong kind: something with grains instead of a white baguette or a white Surinamese roll or a large white pistolet. The service was a 7, but I actually miss the "uniform," which can be extremely casual if the same thing is served.

We had a nice lunch. It was annoying that one of us was still having lunch while the other people's used dishes and cutlery were being taken away at the same time.

After a less-than-pleasant experience, Ruimzicht approached us with the offer of a tasting menu to show us that Ruimzicht can indeed provide a truly enjoyable experience. I must say they succeeded. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes, the pairing wines, and the atmosphere, thanks in part to the very attentive service. Thank you for this, and we will definitely be back.

Had a very nice lunch. We had roasted bell pepper soup. Fried egg with old dutch cheese. And a mini croquet with mushroom. Bread with vegetarian filet american. And a salad. Very tastefull with nice local products

We could tell a lot of care and attention had gone into the dishes, but we did find them lacking in flavor, and some were, in our opinion, simply too small. We opted for nine dishes and were still very hungry afterward. Perhaps it was also because we'd eaten at Cepes the day before, which is truly next-level in terms of flavor. It wasn't bad at Lokaal, but we clearly expected more.

The restaurant of Hotel Ruimzicht is really a very nice and special place to have a festive and relaxed lunch with a small group! Everything is focused on making you feel comfortable as a guest.

The location is great, the service too. The food was a 6. A caesar salad had chicken that seemed undercooked, the hamburger was not that tasty and taste the Achterhoek soup little flavor, croquette is that Achterhoeks? Filet americain not so.

What a dissappointing experience. We had the '9 bits and bites' menu. After arrival it took 30 minutes before we had our first drink. Then, after two hours, we had 3 very small bites, no bread or any thing else. The service was careless, although this improved during the evening. The taste of the food was good, but not exellent. It was not a taste explosion, or a surprising moment, it was a bit smooth and unspoken. In short, not any star or recommendation worth.

Yesterday we had a fantastic sommelier Sunday. Sommelier Paul had selected delicious wines and told us more about them at our table. We also had a delicious and special lunch with 8 small dishes spread over the rounds of wine. Staff and atmosphere were excellent, the live music made it complete. We will definitely come back!

Had a special and delicious high tea here for 10 people. Tasty and original. Please note: you will not receive scones and clotted cream. But if you get over that, you can enjoy it for a very reasonable price! Nice space and pleasant service.

Het 6 gangen menu gehad, het eten was wel lekker maar in de bediening ging een hoop mis, we hebben wel 5 verschillende mensen aan tafel gehad. Gerechten werden vergeten, lang waren onze glazen leeg. Borden werden niet geserveerd en afgehaald zoals het hoort maar gewoon over tafel heen, erg slordig en dat verwacht je niet in in deze entourage en met deze prijzen. Jammer. Daarbij blijkt dat als je online reserveert je in bevestigingsmail staat krijgt dat je bij annulering fors moet betalen. In het online reserveringsproces wordt je hier niet op gewezen, dat is bijzonder. Hier een mail over gestuurd maar daar werd niet op gereageerd.

Service could be better, 10 to 15 minutes before we could order a drink, one BOB but the empty wine glasses were not taken away. Afterwards we saw that there was wine on the bill that we had not had! Not a high tea, but a High Wine. 4 rounds with 2 small snacks each and a matching wine for each round. Great stories and QR codes for even more additional information about the beautiful dishes. We ended with coffee and sweet treats. Very fun to do!

We had made a reservation for high tea. You have certain expectations here. Your high tea was completely different from our expectations. The food looked amazing, masterpieces. But we expect savory and sweet at a high tea! This was delicious but not sweet. The last round was foie gras. This is not such an exceptional taste, you would not expect it at a high tea. It was so “gross”, just a shame about the other snacks. The waiter made up for this with chocolates, which were delicious by the way. It wasn't much, small special snacks, but not a real stomach filling. But the experience made up for that. So far we have been extremely satisfied. The foie gras, well, that's taste..., But... After that we were just forgotten. We have after an hour! told us that we would like to order a cappuccino. A waitress came to the table and literally said: "Would you like to order something else?" But a boy just came to your table.” “No,” we said, “not with us.” “That's right,” she said. Then I was done. As if we wait an hour for fun and then speak to someone and then get a sneer afterwards. After we had our cappuccino we waited another half hour. Then the waitress said that it was not possible to pay by card at that table, but why was it possible at other tables? We continued into town, had a main course and dessert at Simons because we were very hungry! We didn't expect that when you have just finished a high tea!!!! We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Ruimzicht. We thought it was a beautiful hotel, both inside and out. The staff was incredibly friendly and service-oriented. In the evening we had dinner at restaurant Lokaal, where we had the 9 course menu and we enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere was very relaxed, nicely decorated and here too the service was very good. We also really liked that we received cards showing what was in the dish. We will definitely come back again!

Tasty, but the lunch choice is somewhat limited compared to the menu online.

The food was not well prepared and therefore not of good quality; and all table guests had stomach and abdominal complaints the entire evening afterwards. Meat (duck and côte d'boeuf) was too raw and tough, cold, and not tasty. We had to wait a long time for the food, which, when it finally arrived, was served much too lukewarm. Our table was the only one not in the restaurant room, but on the other side of the bar, and it seemed that at some point we were forgotten by the service. Very unfortunate; spend a lot of money for an unpleasant experience!

Food was delicious and very nice with those local products. Only the service was really terrible. We had to wait a very long time for every course. It took us 5 hours to prepare a 6 course menu and we were only asked twice for something to drink. It was excruciating and took away from the quality of the food. Very unfortunate! The service has no idea what they are doing, no interest and passion for the food that the chef clearly has.

Very good restaurant that knows exactly how it works. Local products with special flavors adapted to the season. The wine was surprising with a particularly tasty bubble at the start of the evening. Friendly and knowledgeable staff make the evening complete.

We were with a group of six and were placed at a very unconfortable round table just at the entrance door. One person was placed on the sofa almost behind a wall. This angle was also the place for the storage of the wine coolers. We waited for one hour before we got a first piece or bread. The wines (costly bottles) were placed at the table opened at the bar with the cork put back in it. We were not asked to taste the wine. The menu was quite complex to understand and also the staff had difficulty in understanding what we ordered as we had quite some converstations during the dinner about who ordered what. It all took way too long. We arrived at 18.30 and at 22.00 we finished the 4 course menu. What we see as the main feedback: - the food is of high quality and very tasty, but the menu is way too complex to understand because there is not a real difference between starters, pasta and main courses, so everyone is eating something different and you see on a table of 6 the same dishes coming back 4 times. Not an interesting thing to see. - The staff is not skilled to work in a reastaurant of this level. It's like you are in a steak restaurant or similar and their is no knowledge of what they are doing. They are kind, that's not the feedback, but they are way too young. We haven't seen anyone looking responsable as well for the restaurant. - There should be much more attention for the restaurant in general. The place should be painted and cleaned. The toilets were absolutely dirty and for a stylish place like this you would expect something different. It's a shame, as with more real attention from management this place could be a very special one, but after this experience we will not visit this restaurant again.

We came to 9 courses dinner to commemorate our 30 years marriage. The food is tasteless, no combination of flavors and zero harmony. Through the courses the veggies were all repeated, with old aspect, rotten flavor and dead shrunken flowers The duck was chewy like plastic and the sauce burn taste. We heard the rude chef screaming out loud in the kitchen during all dinner, came a cook to our table to present the food, and it was definitely under use of substances. The service staff is very kind but very slow and unorganized. It's far away from our expectations, we can't believe this has a michelin star, and under which terms, with a snack bar quality food, nobody was able to explain it to us. Extremely big disappointment.

Vegetarian dishes from the impressions are great, I especially liked the gnocchi and lettuce than the meat/fish variant. Duck breast was really tender. Cards with QR codes for each dish to trace the local origin of the ingredients are a nice addition. The lighting is not appropriate for the entourage; outside it lacks charisma (road presence in the evening) and mood lighting. The seats inside are not very comfortable because the backrest presses into your shoulder blades in an uncomfortable place. All in all highly recommended

We had chosen to have a meal at Lokaal as a celebration with our local friends. We chose the 9 course taster menu with wine pairing and then 2 of us had the 6 course taster without wine. The service was incredibly slow. I had asked for the non alcoholic options and was given the choices over 45 minutes later. We arrived at 7.30pm and at 11pm we still had 3 courses to go. We requested for the last 3 courses to come out faster as at this point we were the only ones left in the restaurant. The food was ok but not worth the high price tag and the lack of service ruined what should have been a special evening.

We start with the special Sunday oyster party for 4 people. This was good. Also discussed dinner al la carte in a timely manner with 4 people. However, the main course was only available for 2 people. No replacement main course advised and only a choice of small side or starters. This was disappointing. Despite the good service and interaction, I did not really go home satisfied.

Tijdens een weekendarrangement in hotel Villa Ruimzicht gaan dineren in het restaurant Lokaal. Hoge verwachtingen van hun groene Michelin ster … helaas werden deze niet ingelost. De bediening liet te wensen over. Eerst en vooral duurde het 40 min voor het eerste gerechtje van de 9 gangen kwam. Het aperitief was tegen die tijd al lang op. Het menu werd ons trouwens niet uitgelegd, dit hadden we op de site geraadpleegd. Bijna 2u na het binnenstappen van het restaurant hadden we enkel de 3 ‘hapjes’ gekregen. Toen het eerste voorgerecht kwam, bleek dat we ineens vegetarische gerechten kregen, zogezegd omdat de rivierkreeftjes niet meer voorradig waren. Er werd hier vooraf niks over gemeld. Na een kleine discussie kregen we alsnog rivierkreeftjes voorgeschoteld, het vegetarische gerechtje mochten we ook opeten. Dit was helaas niet naar onze smaak, miste kruiding en was niet verrassend. De volgende gerechten waren niet vegetarisch, we kregen uiteindelijk alsnog het ‘dierlijk’ menu. De gerechten waren lekker, er werd gebruik gemaakt van lokale producten, en de uitleg kon je via een QR code opzoeken. Heel mooi en leuk. Echter viel het ons op dat het zaalpersoneel wat sturing miste, hierdoor bleven alle lege tafels lang vuil achter. De bediening is duidelijk niet op hetzelfde niveau als de keuken. Wij gingen na 4u van tafel, toch uitzonderlijk lang voor een diner van 9 gangen.

Voor het diner een drankje genomen op het terras en daar zit je geweldig. Het diner werd geserveerd op het terras. We hadden wat bedenkingen maar de ervaringen waren positief. Wel zie je dat de bediening minder is ingespeeld op het terras waardoor je soms wat langer op je gerechten moet wachten. We hadden gekozen voor het 6-impressies menu. Een ding is zeker de keuken kan goed koken. De smaken waren meestal geweldig. Het toppunt was een gefrituurd aardappelschijfje gevuld met ui. Toch denken we dat we volgende keer eerder voor de a la carte gaan. Teveel kleine gerechtjes vinden we vermoeiend. De bijpassende wijnen smaakten goed en combineerden uitstekend. De bediening is vriendelijk. Qua prijs/prestatie valt het wat tegen. De totaalprijs zit aan de bovengrens van wat je mag verwachten.

Fantastisch diner met 6 impressies gegeten met passend wijn arrangement . Heerlijk eten , het team rondom chef Bjorn creëert geweldige gerechten en ook de gastheren en vrouwen doen er alles aan om je een onvergetelijke avond te geven. We hebben genoten .

We had made a reservation but did not eat at Ruimzicht because the music was playing quite loudly. It's amazing that the unsurpassed computer system didn't notice this. Impersonality is rampant. Good luck with this system. I am once again convinced that these types of requests for a response are completely pointless and that it is therefore better not to respond. I'm doing it now, because I'm just curious if it's recorded somewhere that we didn't eat at Ruimzicht.

The restaurant has a green Michelin star and you can taste it. Can compete with the absolute top in the Netherlands. Ask about the sommelier, a modest professional idiot. (Price is modest for a star restaurant)

The high wine is highly recommended, delicious wine with matching very surprising dishes. Good service with clear explanations about the wines and dishes.

Lunch 3 people. We had made a reservation in advance We were put in a corner with hardly any service. We wanted a higher tea arrangement in 4 courses with 8 dishes, but that was not possible, we had to reserve this. Not listed on the website or not seen. No seasonal dishes such as asparagus soup. The menu has been the same for months with little variation. Once again spent a lot of money on lunch. This is what it is and very disappointing. Unfortunately Last time for us.

We chose the '6 impressions' menu. The nice thing is that you can choose the vegetarian route or the meat & fish route. That worked out well for our group. The start was a cava that was recommended, but we didn't like it much. Can happen. All tables were occupied, which may explain why we had to wait over an hour (!) for our first dish. The spreads that were on the table also waited an hour for their sandwiches. Guests who arrived later were served earlier. Our impression: the service could not handle the crowds. It also took a while for the 2nd dish to arrive. We are now 2 hours further. I walked to the bar to ask if the pace could be increased, otherwise it could be midnight... Fortunately, things went faster from then on, also because the crowds had decreased. the sommelier also admitted that it was difficult for the service at first. Then the food: the dishes tasted excellent, beautiful presentation and prepared with care. Compliments for the kitchen. In summary: cuisine and atmosphere excellent. Beautiful decoration of the restaurant, but the service (attentiveness and speed of service) still needs to be improved.

Great place to eat. We liked service very much, people here are very professional and friendly. Menu is interesting, but price is a bit higher than at another places. One bad thing - they keep wooden sticks for snacks at the tables and they got mold…. Nobody change them.

The food was excellent. The reception and service, on the other hand, were under no circumstances star worthy. If you book at a star restaurant, you don't expect to have to sit in the lobby of a hotel for dinner. And pairing wines means a matching wine for each course, which is explained in detail by a sommelier. So don't simply read the label and have to keep asking for it the next time you go.

We had the 6-course Christmas dinner and the food was amazingly delicious, original and beautifully plated. Cannot fault anything at all about the food. It was very special, especially for Christmas Eve. The service, however, was appalling even by local standards. We each ordered a glass of red wine and once our glasses were empty, no one offered to refill for 90 minutes. Not kidding. By that time we said it was too late. No bread was served for the first hour, the server forgot to bring the sparkling water we ordered. When asked if we had dietary restrictions, I indicated that I do not eat red meat. This was interpreted as meaning that I do not eat "rare" meat, so the course that involved venison was served to me well-done. We had to explain that venison is red meat and I don't eat it regardless of how it's cooked. Thankfully the chef prepared me a beautiful piece of fish in 4 minutes. The entire dinner took 3 1/2 hours. Again the food was so good, but for 85 euros per person, one expects impeccable service and we did not get that. The lighting is also not really nice if you happen to be sitting under the high-hat lights, hence the points off for atmosphere.

Be prepared if you eat here: at Lokaal, as a guest you are also part of a circular system. Chef Björn Massop and his team cook with what nature and many local farmers offer them, but cooking without guests is a culinary art form that does not work. If you can surrender to this (possibly with 9 "courses" of impressions), you will have a fantastic evening. The future of the Dutch hospitality industry is already being put into practice here (Achterhoeks), and flavors regularly reach Michelin star level. Please note: the restaurant already has a Green Michelin star. A special compliment for the youngest lady in the service, who can of course still grow, but understands that hospitality cannot be done on autopilot. 1 point for improvement: four times a reservation confirmation via email prior to a visit is a bit enthusiastic.

Really enjoyed 6 courses of surprising dishes. Truly what an experience. A lot of attention has been paid to absolutely everything. I am very impressed by the Jerusalem artichoke. But everything was right. Also the homemade "butter" and certainly the AV arrangement by Joerg Geiger. My table companion had a wine arrangement, also with delicious wines. But wine with food is not innovative for me now. The AV drinks were much more exciting! Keep it up! We will definitely come back.
