The Bank Café VOF in Wijk 01 Doetinchem Centrum

Well, the atmosphere isn't great; the lighting is too bright, the tables and chairs are of poor quality, and it feels too pub-like. The service is reasonably friendly, but a bit chaotic. On the other hand, the food was truly amazing! Simple pea soup with rye bread and bacon. The best I've ever tasted. Truly 3 Michelin stars. Apparently, other dishes there are also extremely delicious. Heard it through word of mouth. Does that chef even work for the right company...?!

We enjoyed a delicious game menu last night. The hostess/owner was very warm and friendly. The timing of the service was always perfect. The food itself was delicious! We will definitely be back.

I had a farmer's omelet, which was cold. Then I had a cold/lukewarm "warm apple pie." The service was super friendly, but the food was subpar.

The carpaccio comes with some kind of chewy cheese croutons? It's not quite right. The food was just not right. The stroganoff steak dish wasn't very good either. The steak strips were tough and the sauce wasn't flavorful. They allowed dogs in, which I don't really appreciate in restaurants. The service was excellent, though.

It's a nice, spacious place. The ceiling is covered in cover plates and cable ducts. That must be the work of an enthusiastic craftsman. The covered patio looked a bit messy. It might have something to do with the dreary, rainy weather. The staff was also desolate. Leaning against the bar, they watch the guests come in, but they don't say a word. Just figure out where you want to sit. Been there, done that.

Friendly people, food is good (although sometimes it seemed to be cooked a bit too long, keep an eye on it).

A pleasant welcome. We ordered a midday snack, which we were really hungry for. To my surprise, it was served very quickly. The soup was delicious. It was a shame about the croquette; it was lukewarm, and the fried egg was simply cold. We did eat it, as we don't like waste, but we did report our findings so that this wouldn't happen to others. They said they would pass it on. So, people, be mindful of what you're served.

We had a delicious meal. We had spring rolls and mustard soup as starters. Our main course was Boeuf Bourguignon and a pan of Stroganoff. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is quick.

Stale cookies, unfresh whipped cream, and weak coffee, unfortunately. With prices around 4 euros for a cup of coffee, that's not great! There's serious room for improvement. The post-mix soda with lots of ice could also be better. It also had very little carbonation. Again, you can overlook it with low prices, but here, drinks are the main prize! The service is okay, but not in a good mood.

The boeuf bourguignon was really delicious in taste. Tender meat, nice big portion, and great side dishes.

In the nice town of Doetinchem (which is nicer than we thought) there are a few nice terraces in the middle of the center. Like this one! We enjoyed the nice and warm weather last week. Both with coffee and snacks etc... It was very busy, especially with locals. A good sign of course. It is not inviting and cozy, but that was certainly not bad.

Very mediocre food, especially for the price. Burger was undercooked. Salmon was dry. Unimaginative potatoes from a bag. The only positive is the building, but that is canceled out by terrible music.

Atmospheric and delicious food. A place where you feel at home because of the authentic character of the interior and building, and the hospitable reception of the staff. You feel that the people who work here know their trade.

As always when we are in Doetinchem, we had lunch here. My Hawaii sandwich was a real disappointment, a thick slice of bread, with a thin slice of cheese and ham, so you really couldn't taste it.

We were a little later in the evening during the week and it was very quiet. This made the atmosphere a bit lacking. The staff was friendly. And the food was very tasty. Definitely recommended, it is often busy during the weekend, so expect it to be a bit more pleasant then.

Delicious food with friendly service!

Poor service, cappachio sandwich was more lettuce and onions than anything else, I like arugula but definitely not lettuce. My friend had a hot meat sandwich with way too many onions on it and some of which were not well cooked. Daughter had a very dry croquette sandwich. Controls difficult to get in touch with, and were operated by four different people. Next time we'll just go to Paddy's again

Delicious food in a nicely decorated restaurant. The service was very friendly, all in all we had a great evening in the Bank.

Nice owner and service. Had the house specialty the bank burger twice. This was very tasty, we also got a side with fries, potatoes and lettuce. The building is the old bank, you can even go into the safe because that's where you have to go to the toilet, which is a nice experience.

We drank a rosé at the end of the City Festival. Delicious with a glass of water. Cozy atmosphere on the terrace.

Ordered a terrible sandwich for 2 people. Literally and figuratively terrible. Old dry brown bread. No butter on it. Lettuce was old with brown edges. And then for €12.50 per sandwich. Too bad, never going here again.

What super bad service. Even just antisocial. Since the new owner came in, things have gotten really bad. Heard it from more people and it is indeed true. Give them until the end of the year and it will be for sale again due to bankruptcy.

Nice central opportunity, in our case, to have a nice lunch. This is one of my husband's favorites. A varied menu and everything is beautifully presented and tasty. Outside on the terrace you can sit under the heaters, which is still nice.

Nice place, good food, nice atmosphere. The only point of attention was the waitress who was taking the order like a ruminant. Could be just me, but I would quickly put the chewing gum aside when I was at work.

Tasty fish salad... maybe a little too much cocktail sauce, but certainly not a negative

The restaurant is pleasantly decorated with atmospheric lighting. Shown to our table upon entering. Ordered a drink. That went well. After that we had to ask continuously. Finally asked for a sandwich in advance. You should offer something like that. I was just not told in advance that we would also receive bread with the carpaccio. So he could go back to the kitchen. But that sandwich was on the bill. Carpaccio was tasty. Could be a bit thinner but what are we talking about. The difference between dishes was noticeable. A chicken burger for €19.50 where you can get almost two out of it. And a bowl of boeuf bourguignon €26.50 with a few beans on the plate. Could be decorated a bit more generously for that price difference, for example purée. The boeuf was also very salty but very tasty and authentic. Garnishes such as fries/salad and potatoes are available and in decent quantities, nothing wrong with that. All in all not bad but it could be much better. You can tell they are new to the business. They should be more concerned with the guest. If I have to ask myself if they want to pick up the plates, yes, you just have to see. As well as offering an empty glass or a desert after the table has been cleared. If I had to ask for a coffee myself, come on people, the place wasn't even full. Simple things like that would have made it a much better experience. Divide the tables among each other and take responsibility for your own tables as servers. No one even noticed us walking out the door.

Nicely decorated with "old shares" worth a thousand guilders, cozy atmosphere, friendly, attentive service. Tasty, filling homemade pea soup. The tasty farmer's schnitzel is large, with a crispy layer of cheese and mushrooms on top. Our dog was welcome and given fresh water. It was quite busy and many tables had been reserved in advance, but they still found a quiet corner out of the way due to... the dog. Very thoughtful.

Afgelopen vrijdag lunch op het terras. Als eerste de uiensoep besteld. Deze vond ik matig. Voornamelijk bouillon met een verdwaalde ui en lente ui. Het kaaskoekje suggereert een Franse uiensoep en dit kwam niet in de buurt. Voor € 6,- beetje prijzig. Daarna de huisgemaakte gehaktbal. Deze is van wereldklasse en een aanrader. Perfect gekruid en geserveerd in een bakje met jus, brood, mayonaise en salade. Mijn tweede bestelde glas melk, bleek karnemelk te zijn. Kan gebeuren, was erg druk. Dit werd netjes opgelost door de bediening. Bediening is uitstekend.

We gaan daar regelmatig lunchen als we in de stad zijn. Heerlijke salades en broodjes. Echt een aanrader! 😊

A warm cafe,bar- restaurant in Simonsplein in Doetinchem! Come here to start your day with a good coffee and apple taart or at night for a cold beer. There is also a nice terrace next to the main church where you can enjoy a good sunny day. The food is mainly inspired by Dutch cuisine but it can be improved. The place itself was a former bank and it is very welcoming and warm. The service is also good.

Vanavond heerlijk gegeten bij de Bank met een gezelschap van 9 personen. Eten was top van smaak, grote porties en werd goed warm geserveerd. Ook kreeg iedereen tegelijk het voor, hoofd en nagerecht geserveerd. Tijd tussen de verschillende gangen was niet te lang, dit was prettig. Patat, aardappeltjes en een lekkere rauwkost bij je hoofdgerecht geserveerd. Goede bediening, vriendelijk en meedenkend. Eten voor een goede prijs. Een aanrader voor eten in Doetinchem!

Er werd een lunch verzorgd voor een vrijgezellenfeest (25 man), dit was geen enkel probleem en is ook top geregeld! Meer dan genoeg lekker eten. Top!

Leuke zaak. Onlangs geweest voor een lunch. Gezellig druk op die zaterdag. Prima aanbod, schappelijke prijzen en lekker gegeten. Aanrader, hier komen we zeker terug.

Lekker gezeten en gegeten, Maar… net het dessert in de maag kregen we om 22:05 uur van de eigenaresse te horen: We gaan dicht, je mag nu nog een laatste drankje bestellen. Dus leuke tent als je vroeg thuis wilt zijn, maar niet voor een avondje gezellig tafelen.
