My favourite coffee bar in Leiden! Great value for money, friendly people, and nice ambiance.

Great apple pie, lots of whipped cream too

I honestly had the best coffee of my life here. They could do with a few more vegan pastries on the menu, though. But for coffee like this, I can't give it less than 5 stars.

Stumbled on this cafe when I was visiting the area and the service, coffee, and pastries were absolutely perfect. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely coffee bar on the Leiden singel walking route. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and delicious cake!

It’s been quite a while since its opening, and I always thought the business wasn’t looking so bright, as the large windows are more reflective and you can’t see easily what’s going on inside when you are just passing by. Walked in for a couple of drinks today, and the experience changed my opinion. It was quite a turnout with a decent number of customers. Decent drinks. Good vibes. I love the high ceiling of the place.

Got coffee during a walk in Leiden. You expect a good taste of coffee from/for a coffee bar, but both the cappuccino and the coffee had a bitter taste

What a cozy coffee shop with great coffee! First a round of Ankerpark with Coco (our labradoodle), where she plays with her dog friends, and then water for Coco and coffee+ for us at Grutsk. Toasties are highly recommended: delicious brown bread.

A lovely place to drink coffee on a sunny day. (even when it rains). Just outside the hustle and bustle of the city center and a very good starting or ending point for a walk along the canal.

Even though it's just around the corner from our houseboat, we decided to have a drink before returning home. A lovely terrace facing the fantastic Oudolf garden. Very friendly staff. The Albert meelfabriek beer is highly recommended, a lovely summer beer with lemon tones and a bitter tint. Mmmm, ik could become our local of a summer's afternoon. Hopefully some time soon, it will be open later than 17.00. We love the Meelfabriek!!!!

A very atmospheric, relaxing place outside the center, at the Singelpark, where you can drink really good coffee. Stylish ambiance with various nice seating areas. Very friendly service. A place where it is both cozy and relaxing. Coffee is great... for tea there is also a choice of very tasty fresh tea flavors. Pastries from Jacobs and the baksas (gluten-free range). We chose the Victoria pastries, but there was also apple pie, lemon tartelette, filled cake, carrot cake muffin and white chocolate raspberry blondie. A place to come back!

It's a wonderful place! The employees are very nice. The food is delicious and the service is great! I liked that you got honey from a small jar with a real honey spoon. I've never had that before in a (coffee) bar!

Great place, spacious and quiet if you want to work/study and the coffee is outstanding - they also serve homemade hot chocolate. Food selection is limited though.

In a new wing of the flour mill complex you will find this cozy coffee bar on the ground floor, where you can also eat with friendly, enthusiastic staff.

Visited Grutsk this morning. What an attractive coffee bar in a nice place, on the Singelpark route, in Leiden. The furnishings look modern and sleek. The coffee here is delicious and the staff is very friendly and polite. In short, definitely recommended! I will often come back here for delicious coffee!

The coffee used in the flat white was over roast. This left it overly acidic and bitter. Good friendly service though and in a great location. I'll be back to try again some other time.

Absolutely incredible place! Nothing pretentious or negative about the atmosphere at Grutsk. The staff was very friendly and the apple pie was fantastic! Thank you for this new addition in our beautiful city! 😊
