Nice place and nicely decorated

It has got this dockyard kind of vibe. The lights were dim adding to the overall calm and warmth of the place. One can easily spend ours sipping coffee or beer whatever you like.

Incomprehensible situation regarding bicycles. You are not allowed to park in the bicycle storage during busy times, even if there are spaces available. I understand that it becomes a mess if everyone just leaves their bike anywhere and that supervision is therefore necessary, but if there is still sufficient space in the racks, it seems reasonable to me to let people park here as well.

Had a nice time at Hannekes Boom. It’s a big and unique place with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of space to sit and enjoy a drink. A nice spot to hang out in Amsterdam, especially when you want somewhere with a lively and casual vibe.

Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The table service was practically non-existent: I had to get up twice and go to the counter, even just to pay. The quality of the food was also very poor, especially considering the price. We spent around €50 for two people, including just two beers, and I would have expected a much better quality for that price. The only positive thing is the terrace, which is nice and has a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service and especially the food quality were not up to the standard expected for the place and the price.

A quiet place with a new view of the river to have a drink

Rude security. I might not be a straight white man, but that doesn’t mean I don’t deserve bare minimum respect. I turned down a man i wasn’t interested in, and it ended up with me getting kicked out, bc the security decided to believe him more than me. Even tho i turned him down, and he accused me of being “too drunk to be In there”I might not be a straight white man, but that doesn’t mean I deserve less respect, and trustworthiness than anyone else. I understand they have to remove or refuse ppl they think have had enough to drink, but it is really disappointing they chose to believe a straight white man than a woman of colour. Wouldn’t recommend if you aren’t the model person that is straight white and male. Really rude security, who should reconsider their prejudice.

Charming spot, right by the canal. We ordered burgers and they were delicious. Some of the most reasonable prices we've seen in Amsterdam. The place is beautiful, and the atmosphere is great. We'll definitely be back.

The place is extremely crowded and the staff aren't very helpful. The view is great. I hope to return and have a better experience.

We weren't the only ones missing our orders, many other tables that time also waited for a long time, cuz we all talked to the staff about it.

Been here a few times. It's one of my favorite spots in Amsterdam as it has always got a good atmosphere, friendly service, and great food 😋 And the location is perfect as it's next to the water.

We discovered this place by chance. It was quite crowded inside. The view and location are fantastic. I don't think it's very touristy, at least not when we went. It was one of our favorite places. It was also relatively cheaper compared to Amsterdam.

Hannekes Boom. Home to the swiftest service known to man. Dutch efficiency at its finest. Within seconds of draining my drink the staff were offering another one ! Nice atmosphere. Great spot. Lovely stuff.

Just a day of boating through the city, and then ending up here. An experience in itself, because what a lovely spot this is. Opposite Nemo, with a beautiful view of the Marine Museum. The location is very special, right in the bustling city of Amsterdam. But when you take a seat there, you feel like you are in a completely different place; simply amazing. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and fries. The sandwich was heavenly, wonderfully warm and very well prepared. Nice and spicy, and the fries were superb too. A friend of ours had Stracciatella; this looked tasty as well. And according to her, it was incredibly delicious too. Do be careful with small children, though, as it is almost completely surrounded by water. But otherwise, a super spot right in the middle of a busy metropolis.

We didn't try the food, but the location is super, great also for large groups of people. I loved how colorful it was and there's a wide variety of drinks in the menu.

Good place for drinks if you're looking for a spot close to central. Bouncer for the bike parking is unnecessary rude and aggressive. Not a great welcome to an otherwise good place!

An all-time Amsterdam classic. One of a few places that can be called a beer garden. Great outdoor terrace, especially in sunny weather, next to water. When it's good weather, it's truly a paradise. But behold, it can get quite busy. It's a popular spot and also right across the bridge there is this new giant Booking.com office, and I bet those bookers love Hannekes Boom big time.

The nachos were cold when they arrived, unfortunately. But the burgers were tasty and worth it! The beer glasses were poorly washed several times, and eventually, we ended up washing them ourselves. The service was okay, nothing to complain about. The surroundings are one of a kind, and worth a visit for that reason alone!

Excepțional good onion soup. A bit weird the way you can order and the fact that they start taking orders for food at 12 sharp. But the serving was great and the atmosphere is exceptionally awesome!

Love this place; such a nice mix of atmosphere, drinks and food. Even though every table has a QR code for ordering food/drinks, the staff keeps stopping by for picking up new orders. Completely the opposite of what you see elsewhere! Nice beers, delicious wines and great food. And aside from all of that, great views over Amsterdam and its waters. Don’t doubt, just visit!

The is no service. You have to order online. I choose English as the language but the menu doesn't change. Finally figured out that they stopped serving food. I was there at 10:00pm.

We watched the World Cup final, the terrace and the atmosphere are amazing, it's very comfortable. The only downside is the QR code ordering and having to pay from your phone (I couldn't pay in cash). Otherwise, everything was great :)

Really cool spot next to the water. I saw this place while riding my bike and decided to stop in. The bar/restaurant is right in the water with excellent views, trees, and benches for seating. Great place for a drink/food on a nice day. They also have a 2nd floor for extra seating. Be warned it can get very busy during meal times and weekends. Most of the tables next to the water were taken when I got there. Otherwise, it’s a great spot to hang w friends or pop in for a drink.

Nice atmosphere and friendly service, but paid €21 for 7 small ravioli after which you aren't even slightly full. The ravioli was tasty, but the limoncello Spritz was very watery and there was no head to be seen on the beer.

Many vegan dishes were delicious; I loved my onion soup during my visit. I also loved hearing the laughter of the person in the pink outfit with François Damien's tattoos.

As my grandmother used to say, "Always try to eat a burger in one bite." Unfortunately, I need to practice a bit more, but one day I'll continue the family tradition. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor terrace and good vegan and vegetarian options!

I ordered a drink with a waitress, while my companion ordered a drink to the table and got it first. I had to convince the staff inside that I had previously ordered. After some questioning I finally got the drink I had already paid for!

Atmosphere, atmosphere, and more atmosphere!!! If you want to feel like a castaway from a movie, this place is for you! A far cry from the hustle and bustle of the city, it's perfect for admiring yachts and boats. We spent a wonderful afternoon there!

Great social vibes, staff a friendly. I had a Negoni wasn't bad. Maybe pre-mixed but was still ok. Views are amazing and people come and go on boats as it's right on the river. Highly recommend.

Very disappointing experience. The service was far below what you would expect from a place in such a popular location. The staff seemed completely uninterested in the guests and acted as if serving customers was an inconvenience. I had to repeatedly look for someone just to get basic service. Something as simple as asking for an ashtray turned into a frustrating experience because no one was paying attention, and I ended up walking around the venue trying to find a staff member. It felt like customers were being ignored rather than welcomed. The overall atmosphere was affected by the poor service. A good venue is not only about the location or drinks—it is about making guests feel valued. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I cannot recommend this place based on my experience. There are plenty of other bars in Amsterdam where the staff are friendly, attentive, and actually care about their customers. I won't be coming back.

After a main course, you are hungry. Way too little, but I paid €21.50. The service is terrible. It is disorganized. Hey, it sits beautifully by the water, but otherwise it is nothing. I am disappointed for the second time and that won't happen to me again. If I don't enter 5*, I can't send my review. That must mean something!!!!?

Really lovely little place on the water we stumbled across, upon entering we found an abundance of seating outside. Really lovely cocktails and staff. Great place to relax with a game of uno and a loved one on a warm day.

went to the bar to order food. Waited in line for close to 10 minutes (only 4 people infront of me) watched as a bar tender moved the positions of glasses before serving the person infront of me. My friend and I counted 6 bar tenders there (god knows what was more important than serving customs in the line), and when we finally got to the front we were told we couldn’t get food because it was 10:01pm… the kitchen closed at 10pm… i explained we were in the line for almost 10 minutes waiting and received no sympathy from the bar tender - who said “i’m hungry too bro”. sick location and a good vibe but the service is extremely below par. won’t be coming back purely because of this.

Service absolutely sucked- waited 1/2 an hour for a waitress, moved tables, hopefully to get better service, as she kept walking by. After another 10 minutes and her walking by, managed to order a drink. Another 1/2 an hour and her walking past- without even looking at us- we left. Yeah, its Summer- but this was a Tuesday night and be prepared for the season.

Atmospheric place, normal prices.. but a glass for Aperol is a beer glass and a lot of ice... 10€... for that, well, a lot... because apart from ice, there was no Aperol to be found). I give three stars because it's a cool place, but still, if you want a cocktail, then in a normal grocery store😅

Had drinks and dinner with colleagues. Despite the warm weather, that was perfectly fine on the terrace. There is plenty of shade from trees and large parasols. An atmospheric location by the water. You order food and drinks using a QR code on your table, after which the order is quickly delivered by friendly staff. This restaurant has its entire logistics well organized. The food is not top-notch, but certainly adequate in relation to the location. In short, highly recommended.

It was a very busy evening, so busy that there was a queue outside to get in. Larger groups in boats were asked not to moor due to overcrowded capacity. Those arriving became inexplicably angry and reacted rudely. I had to wait outside for a while while my husband already had a table inside. That is just how it is. Fortunately, manager Esmee let me borrow her phone for a moment to call him, as my phone battery was dead. I would like to thank Esmee and the staff for their excellent care despite the crowds; we look forward to coming back soon.

One of the most characteristic place of Amsterdam. Close to the station, but not turistic. Cool in summer and winter, always full of Dutch and international locals. The snacks are a bit expensive, but the place in general really derserves it. You can also arrive directly by boat.

They don't come to you, you need to go there.

Ridiculous security. Stating they won't let you in unless you go back over some specific bridge. Completely ridiculous. I love nearby, and stated I'd cycle onwards and park somewhere near my house and walk back, for which I was told I also wouldn't be allowed back in if I were to do so.

Amazing atmosphere right at the water front and you will have an amazing view of the water and boats docking by. It is walking distance from Centraal and near the city Centre without it being full and overflowing in here. The tables are individual pieces of art and there are fairy lights lit up when it gets darker. One thing I must mention are that the drinks a a bit pricey. An Aperol was 10€, a small beer (0.25l) was 3.70€ and a fresh peppermint tea 4.50€. But still the service was really nice and quick, and I would definitely come back here and enjoy a glass of wine.

Awesome spot. Plenty of tables and very nice by the water. You order via the QR code which makes it easy to stay seated. The food portions were good. Both the cheese burger and chicken burger were tasty. There is also an nice beer selection. We will definitely return.

A charming green oasis by the water in Amsterdam. The beer garden is simply fantastic. The colorful tables are lovely to look at, and there are cozy spots under the trees. We had coffee and cake, and it was delicious. It's self-service.

Super nice location, exactly as described, relaxed atmosphere. Had drinks and dessert here after a disappointing visit to another restaurant. The dessert was very tasty. If you are looking for an "easy going" spot in the center of Amsterdam, I would stop by here.

Hannekes Boom is beautifully located and has the atmosphere of a creative hotspot from a bygone era. The waterfront setting and alternative vibe make it an appealing place to visit, especially on a sunny day. Unfortunately, the experience doesn't quite live up to the image. Prices are steep, with a burger and fries costing around €22, yet neither stood out in terms of quality or flavour. Service was also disappointing, with staff appearing largely uninterested and disengaged. The place gives off a somewhat contradictory impression: promoting a progressive, laid-back image while charging prices you'd expect from a genuinely high-end establishment. You're largely paying for the location and atmosphere rather than the food or service. Overall, a great spot for a drink and the ambience, but not somewhere I'd recommend for the food.

Feels like floating! Coolest bar in Amsterdam

Nice place! Service mediocre. Asked three times for glasses with the carafe of Aperol.

Went here on a Sunday evening and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy, but the experience was honestly terrible. The table we were seated at was already dirty and nobody bothered to clean it. We ordered through the QR code system they use, and somehow several items got ordered twice, so we were charged double. When we tried to explain the issue, the staff member barely even listened to us and offered absolutely no solution. They brought our nachos while the table was still dirty, and we didn’t even get our drinks until around 10 minutes later, only after we complained again. We basically ended up eating on a dirty table, without drinks, while also being overcharged because of their app, and nobody cared enough to fix it. Really disappointing service.

A place with an incredible view!

Cozy place, but the food was very mediocre. Hamburgers barely seared. Grilled chicken sandwiches where the cheese had melted the day before, and the chicken wasn't freshly grilled but warmed up lukewarm. Tried it twice but won't be eating there again.
