Beautiful view. Fast service. The French onion soup was great. The nachos for me personally, I would not order again. But they are just like nachos every where here. Drinks were nice and cold. We will be back. We had a chicken sandwich which was good as well. Loved this place.

Had a cup of tea and a coke for €7.25 on Friday at 8:30 PM. Great tea, great service, great price. We did have to dry off our own spot outside after a rain shower. On Friday evenings, it's incredibly busy and therefore very noisy. There's no music outside (which is nice), but inside, the music is quite loud. Too loud for my taste (57!). The location is enormous. Inside, there's a rooftop terrace, two large covered patios, and a patio along the water. Very lively!

Hannekes Boom is truly a top spot in Amsterdam! 🌞🍺 Located on the water with a lovely terrace where you can enjoy the sun and a cold beer. Many expats also know where to find this cozy spot 🌍🙌. An added bonus: you can even moor your boat there 🚤⚓ – perfect for cooling off and relaxing after a boat trip. Our dog Frenkie 🐶💛 was also made very welcome and enjoyed himself just as much as we did. A wonderful spot for a relaxing afternoon by the water in the heart of Amsterdam! 🌿🌊

There are lots of people here. They recommend a visit. Aside from the beautiful view, there's nothing special to see. Everything is old and broken, with dirty tables and self-service lines.

This place is really a cool spot, good cold beer, good food and if you come by boat you can pull up to the dock, scan the QR code and the servers will bring your food and drinks right to your boat! It got a little crowded after we were there for a while, but all the locals were very friendly and welcoming, I was sorry we didn't make it back there.

DO NOT SIT UNDER THE TREES or you risk getting pooped on by a whole horde of seagulls! Choose a table under the umbrellas instead, that said the waitress was very friendly and apologetic!

Located close to central station (next to the booking building) is a atmospheric little bar/cafe called Hannekes Boom. It has many trees covering the terrace which gives it its character and vibes. The tables are all decorated differently with paint. It’s a nice place to hangout with friends for drinks or snacks but for dinner or lunch it’s nothing special. You order through QR codes on the table so interaction with personnel is limited to them delivering and picking up plates and glasses. Overall this is a great place to hangout with friends for drinks in the evening, but for lunch or dinner I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The WORST TOILETS ever!! And you have to pay for it, even if you sit at the table and order: nachos, 2 meatballs, 2 fries and a plate of snacks... Don't recommend it at all!

Convenient ordering with a QR code. Of the 5 fries I ordered, 3 arrived at the same time. The 4th arrived 15 minutes later, and the 5th was "forgotten." The quality was poor; fried way too hard, refried (?), and dripping with grease. Prices were very high.

Grabbed a couple drinks here and sat by the water to watch small boats coming in to Amsterdam Sail festival. Nice atmosphere and location next to the water. Would come back here in the future.

Perfect location is being wasted by the incompetent management! I have been here a couple of times already in the last years but my final visit made me to review eventually. Prices are high for what you get as a food/service. We ordered 4 cheeseburgers and 3 of them had cartilage pieces in them. How low is the meat quality. You order Cola and it tastes worse than the machine ones in McDonald's. Plus, the food and drink are served with paper/plastic cup and board. I am not visiting here soon. There are already better places by the water in south. The management team needs a fact check.

Fantastic waterfront location, easily accessible by boat, with its own jetty! Ordering with QR code is quick and easy. Friendly and helpful service. Clean restrooms, plenty of choice. Enjoy a wonderful time both indoors and outdoors!

Great staff. But... About the nachos. Based on the looks, expectations were high. But soon questions arose: Where's the salt? Why are they cold? Why doesn't the guacamole taste like avocado? Why so little cheese? It was disappointing. The fries were also very small, and all for €5.50. Such a shame!

We were served half a beer, and when we mentioned it, they just shrugged. The same thing happened with the fries, which were old and soaked up by oil, and only half full. Really, way below par. It's a shame, because the location is nice, but you just don't get your money's worth here.

Bunch of scammers! Spent over €50 on food and drinks (no decent plate or glass). It's like getting takeout at a festival. The toilet also costs €1, even if you've already paid for the food and drinks. The toilet is part of the restaurant, so it's just a money grab. It's a shame that places like this always focus on people getting their money, not on actually having a good time and coming back. Absolutely not recommended.

Terrible, terrible place. My friend had a birthday event planned here, and after paying a deposit, we were called only a couple of days before and were told the reservation was cancelled with little to no explanation. Leaving us to plan and find an alternative last minute with friends and family flying in from the UK. Genuinely left us panicked and stressed.

My brother’s 30th birthday party was canceled just 5 days before, even though the deposit was paid and confirmed. The alternative offer was poor, and management never called us. Completely unprofessional — avoid this place at all costs!

I never leave a review, but for this instance I had to. I booked this venue for my 30th birthday party and I cannot express how disappointed I am with the way we were treated. The deposit was paid and the offer was accepted, yet the venue still canceled on us just 5 days before the event, leaving us completely stranded. On top of this, the alternative offer they made was not great at all and in no way made up for the cancellation. Despite repeated requests, we never received a single phone call from management. The lack of professionalism and respect for customers was shocking. Their own cancellation policy clearly states: “You may cancel your reservation up to 5 business days in advance. For cancellations up to 48 hours in advance we charge 50% of the total amount per person. For cancellations less than 48 hours in advance we are forced to charge the entire amount per person.” Even though the deposit was secured and the booking confirmed, they tried to misrepresent the situation and push responsibility back onto us. This is misleading and absolutely not how you conduct business. If you care about reliability, honesty, and basic customer service, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

I came to Amsterdam to celebrate my 30th birthday during SAIL, and we booked with Hannekes Boom who promised we could enjoy the event together from their venue. The deposit was paid and the booking was confirmed, but just 5 days before, they canceled on us. What they offered instead was poor and nothing like what was promised. No call from management, no accountability an incredibly disappointing experience on what should have been a special trip.

Hannekes Boom is one of those hidden gems in Amsterdam where you can completely escape the hustle and bustle of the city, while still being centrally located. It's beautifully situated on the waterfront, with a charming and colorful terrace that immediately exudes a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed some snacks here, which were simply delicious and fresh. Ordering is easy and modern: you scan the QR code on your table and place your order via your smartphone. The service is quick and friendly. Even if the weather isn't great, you don't have to leave, as there's ample indoor space. The atmosphere inside is just as cozy as outside. And a nice bonus: if you have your own boat, you can moor at the jetty right outside, perfect for a stopover on the water.

Absolutely do not book here with a group. I had a reservation for 28 people for two months (which had already been confirmed by Hanneke's Boom), which was canceled by Hanneke's Boom four days before the event due to SAIL 2025. This is understandable, but this is not a surprise to the event. Canceling it so close to the time of the reservation is truly disappointing. Especially with a group reservation, it's not easy to switch to something new. Unreliable company! No compensation or discount; they simply suggest where else you can make a reservation. I don't like writing bad reviews, but other groups should be warned about this as well.

We called Hannekes Boom ahead of time to ask how late the kitchen was. The AI assistant that answered the restaurant's phone number said 1:00 AM. So we decided to sail all the way from the other side of the city. Unfortunately, the AI assistant had given us incorrect information, as the kitchen closed at 10:00 PM. The staff, however, were completely incompetent. We weren't allowed to have food delivered and were scolded. Very disappointing.

Snacks never came. Waited 1.5 hours. Had to leave, so we asked for a refund — waitress couldn’t care less, claiming they “usually don’t do that.” She fished a few coins from the tip jar and threw them at us without a single apology. Arrogant, rude, insulting.

A very inviting spot for drinks and snacks with friends or coworkers, especially on those rare, warm sunny days in Amsterdam. The prices feel fair for a place that offers such a relaxing view over the river. Bonus: you can even park your boat here and order drinks, making it a unique and charming experience.

The three of us were there on Friday, August 8th, and had a fantastic evening inside. The DJ was amazing. He played many hidden champions from the second tier, including R&B. A perfect mix. The atmosphere is fantastic, it is such a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy some drinks. The staff is very efficient and friendly. However the food is quite bad (we tried the steak and the nachos). It's the type of food I imagine tastes good if you're really drunk and hungry, but there are no other options available. I wouldn't skip this place nevertheless, the vibe and atmosphere are too good to miss out on this terrace.

What a lovely spot and what a great boat! The company outing I experienced here immediately had a great atmosphere. Outside, there's a lovely terrace by the water with a fantastic view of Nemo and the Central Station area. Friendly and helpful staff. Inside, there's a good atmosphere and plenty of space. Below deck, there's a dance floor with a DJ boat. In short: fantastic!

Nice place to spend time together with friends

Amazing place to be in the summer because is a bit of a go around to get there i feel is mostly for locals and people living here. Without a bike i think is pretty dificult to get there. But there were people coming and going by boat. Day drinking and partie happen here. 8e for a beer, happy travels!! 🍸☀️

The place itself is very interestingly located, the format of a large beer hall, but poor service and rather high prices automatically exclude it from the list of places I would like to visit again. The waiters may simply not notice you for more than 10 minutes when the cafe is almost empty, although all they have to do is say hello and give you a simple menu.

Eigentlich eine super Location. Es fing an, dass das Essen erst ab 18:serviert werden konnte. Das hat man uns aber erst mitgeteilt nachdem wir gezahlt hatten. Der Laden hat Vorkasse. Dann kam das Essen. Ein geschmackloser Fisch und ein roher Burger. Dazu 2 kleine Bier für 43,-€. Viel Geld für keine Leistung.

Dirty place, inedible. The burger is made from thick ground beef with tough bits (cartilage and/or bone). It wasn't cooked properly either. The cheese on the burger is tasteless. There's no burger sauce and it's dry. The fries next to the burger are absolutely inedible. I didn't eat more than half of them. It's too crowded. Too many English-speaking foreigners/tourists. Too noisy. It's hygienic. Overrated and overpriced.
