We stopped off for a drink on a sunny afternoon. The canal-side position is really nice and the staff were very friendly. I had a mint tea which came with lots of fresh mint, ginger and honey. It was really delicious.

Spent 170 euros, got ripped off pretty badly. Never again. Had a Tomehawk steak, it was so gross we just walked away. Man, if I see you I’m going to speak to you too.

After dinner, we sat down for drinks by the canal; the location is beautiful, and the staff are very attentive and polite. The concept of the place is wonderful, with a fantastical atmosphere. It's beautifully decorated. While you might think you're sitting in a normal cafe outside, the indoor area was reminiscent of a royal banquet. It was very clean and tidy. The prices were very reasonable, not exorbitant.

It's okay, that's all I can say about it! One staff member is wearing ripped clothes, another their own clothes, and yet another something else. It just doesn't project a very professional image. It also doesn't really matter what you tell them about how you want your meat; we both received the same thing even though we wanted it cooked differently. There is simply still a lot of room for improvement regarding the staff; training remains important! We were served in a friendly and pleasant manner, though!

We got very bad sangria, they say it is the best in the city, but it was just a jus water, no alco. 40 € per 1 litre of sangria water 💦 😅 last time we were here

I celebrated my birthday here and it was a great experience. The venue is beautifully located by the canal, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable and relaxing. Hi, wow, that took ages. “It was busy” was the argument. Half the terrace was empty, and inside it was empty too. Two of the six in our group went to Albert Heijn afterwards to get a salad because this was so gross. While we were waiting, all the staff were sitting behind us taking a smoke break. In total, we waited an hour and forty-five minutes for the food. A scandalous dump. Regards. Otherwise, Utrecht was quite nice.

Difficult to judge because the boy who served us really did his best. It wasn't for lack of enthusiasm on his part. "Best Sangria in the Netherlands" sounds like a tourist trap, and that is exactly what it is. Especially for a whopping €39.95 for 1 liter. And then the albongidas. They were dry, came two in a small bowl, and cost €10.95. I understand that a terrace/restaurant by the water in Utrecht can be expensive, but the taste and especially the prices don't make it worth it. I wouldn't recommend it in terms of food taste or price.

We went out to eat here with 5 people. The food was SUPER BAD. The 2 tomahawk steaks we ordered medium rare were seriously Well Done. We mentioned this immediately at the beginning when the waiter was carving the meat at the table. He said it would be fine, we would adjust the price because making a new one would otherwise take another hour. To make a long story short, the food tasted like a shoe sole. It was bone dry and tough. We did eat half of it, but well, what can you do? You pay 150 euros for a tomahawk steak and we had to wait an hour for it too. But eventually, when paying the bill, the receipt was already ready and they didn't even listen to us, but instead said in a nasty way: WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THEN? So you can decide for yourself whether or not you should come here.

The atmosphere was cozy, but the food was a huge disappointment. We had a tapas sharing dinner and the meat was served cold. A few pieces of meat were at the right temperature, but the rest was very disappointing. Unfortunately, not worth repeating. No quality for the price you pay.

My friends saw it on social media. Everything seemed good and tasty. We went to have dinner with friends one night. The 12 euro mocktail was a sparkling water with a little taste that was not at all delicious. The steak was not even 40% what it should have been. In short, it is not a place to go. Social media should not be used. Let's buy a game. Sorry but I don't believe that. 25€ per hour.

I went to Haps to get away from the work atmosphere for a bit; we ordered in advance and the food was served nicely on time. I personally had perhaps way too high expectations of Haps: "YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE"—they didn't leave that impression, which is a shame. We ordered the largest steak; it could have been a bit juicier.

I cannot give ten stars but if I could I would do so especially I wanna say the staff is super kind and professional, i want mention that Sadam is a great man doing his job with heart and passion. If he doesn’t work I won’t come any more ( xD)

I am writing as a customer. I left a tip because of the good service at this restaurant, but I later realized that the tips do not go to the staff. When customers leave a tip, it is meant for the employees, not the restaurant owner. For those reading this review, it is better not to tip, or to give the tip directly to the staff. If you pay by card, your tip will not reach the employees.

We tried the Tomawak, the meat was wonderful. The experience was great, from the place, which was beautiful, to the employees and ending with the meat and side dishes. I strongly recommend it.

The worst restaurant experience of my life. To begin with, the dish looked nothing like the one in the video. Furthermore, it took them an hour and twenty minutes to bring me the only dish I ordered. Then I ordered potatoes, and they never arrived. I spent €230 on terrible service and everything arriving 20 or 30 minutes late. In short, no. I would never return to this restaurant. The smaller portions might be much better than a €150 dish, but the service was terrible and the meat was bland. I recommend not ordering the XL dish. The €150 dish was a complete rip-off and a disappointment to pay so much.

The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. Very sweet staff.

We waited 45 min for the food. The filling of the sandwitches we ordered was poor and the food too expensive for what it is. Staff keept asking if we wanted something else and staring at us when we finished so we would leave. The only thing worth it here is the canal that's next to the restaurant. I would not recommend.

Well... Pros: -Beautiful location on the Oude Gracht. -Friendly staff and fast service; Cons: -The food simply wasn't tasty. Uninspired. When I go out to eat, I want good food, but that wasn't the case here. -Price: very high for what you get. A shame.

We went in for just a drink and had the world famous sangria. Needless to say it is highly worthy of that title. When we went to pay, the bartender offered us a free shot, we accepted only on the term that he also take a shot with us. It was an amazing shot and we had a great time. We will definifely come again.

The portions are on the small side. The pasta was tasty, but the meat was disappointing due to the many hard pieces. The service was good, though. Unfortunately, the price-quality ratio is poor; we even had to order bread with tapenade a second time.

Had a surprisingly tasty meal here: mushroom croquettes, fries, and a vegetarian salad. Served very quickly. Nice atmosphere in this establishment, but the service itself is not pleasant. When a disagreement arose due to an incorrectly calculated amount, I was treated very unkindly by the same waiter on two separate occasions, and no leniency was shown. So, I will never return here.

We received a warm welcome, a homely atmosphere, lovely Spanish music, and a great vibe. We opted for the Happs sharing dinner and were served delicious warm bread straight from the oven with a tasty dip and fresh olives. You can taste how fresh everything is; it's highly recommended and fantastically seasoned in true Spanish style.

The service is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel immediately welcome. The wine selection also complements the dishes perfectly. This restaurant is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys authentic Spanish food and a pleasant evening out. We will definitely be back!
