Food simple but fine, though a bit pricey. Service nice/fine. Many chairs are a bit rickety and very dirty.

This was our second time there. The first time everything was perfect, which is why we went back. The second time, the pizzas were very dry and also very burnt around the edges and underneath. They were edible, but unfortunately too dark and dry for our taste. It's a shame, as we were really happy to have found a good pizzeria in Enschede.

We had a delicious meal, we will be back.

The food was unfortunately not good. The pizza was cold and dry, and I don't even want to start on the service. The waiter was completely incompetent and incredibly stressed. We wanted to pay for our food separately, which caused extreme complications and overwhelmed him, even though communication in English worked well. Not recommended and not worth the money. I won't be going back. Happy Italy should really be called 'Sad Italy'.

Expired oil (see picture). Pizza not as advertised on the menu and service very poor. I was extremely annoyed, and there was no option to, for example, swap the vegan cheese for mozzarella. The extra charge would have been €3.50! Prices are generally quite high.

Pizzas are always great, but it's especially nice to still get friendly, efficient service at such a large chain.

The service is terrible. They don't see you, are curt, and hard to understand. They don't make eye contact, making it difficult to ask questions. The food is decent for Italian fast food. Unfortunately, that's all. The tables are dirty and worn; they are wiped down with a filthy cloth, which doesn't make things any fresher.

I've been here several times. The food is really good, but the staff aren't sociable or attentive. So I definitely wouldn't go here for a date. To grab a quick bite to eat for not much money, that is certainly possible. They really should buy new plates too, but that's just my opinion.

I had a great experience at Happy Italy Enschede! The pasta and tiramisu were absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were very generous and definitely worth the price. The service was excellent, and they even gave me a complimentary tea, which was a lovely gesture. Overall, I really loved everything and highly recommend it!😍

We visited the Happy Italy branch in Tilburg a few years ago and found it quite nice. Happy Italy in Enschede is also a go-to spot, as it's usually the last stop before our train journey home (the branch is right next to the station). The pizzas are more than decent, with a good crust and generous toppings. The pasta dishes are incredibly filling. During our visit (August 31, 2026, around 3-4 pm), we had an extremely friendly and service-oriented server. She was super nice, competent, and attentive, and had a charming assistant with her. Very nice! As I said: Happy Italy is a classic franchise, comparable to Vapiano in Germany, which is something to keep in mind – but I think the atmosphere and value for money are much better.

It is a cozy place with a wide variety of food and drinks. The pizzas are well-topped and reasonably priced. If you have too much food, you can take it home. A very nice and ideal place to eat.

I booked a birthday party for my daughter. We were familiar with the concept and my daughter had been really looking forward to it. It turns out the concept has been changed, according to the staff yesterday. My daughter didn't help put the pizza in the oven or pick it up, and the ice cream didn't appear on the fountain. There was nothing extra that made it a real birthday party. So I will not recommend this party to anyone; my daughter, her friends, and I were very disappointed afterwards that the concept has changed.

We had dinner at Happy Italy with five friends and really enjoyed ourselves! As far as we are concerned, this is one of the best restaurants in terms of value for money. Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and plenty of choice for both children and adults. An ideal place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Definitely recommended!

I haven't paid yet! But the dough is very dry!! Inedible. And it was put on the table without any toppings, so I was fighting with the plates to cut it... probably everyone was! Because the white pizza plates are full of scratching black lines... and look dirty 😷 because of that... a shame, hardly ate anything!!! So you're paying for the name 😒

You ask for Coca-Cola Zero and they don't tell you it's Pepsi, and on top of that, they bring you regular Pepsi. Really bad service, disappointing indeed.

With the Kruidvat vouchers, we thought we were going out for a nice, tasty, and cozy meal. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a different experience… It was very quiet, yet we had to wait well over half an hour for our drinks. Once we had our drinks, we had to wait another half hour for our food, which was served with a fly on it. When we pointed this out, a new pizza was made, which unfortunately took so long that everyone else had to eat their pizzas by then, otherwise everything would be cold and finished before the new pizza arrived. We had to wait half an hour for just one pizza. While we were eating the pizzas, we asked for a bottle of water, which was only brought after we picked up our dessert. In short, if you want an extremely long dinner, you should go to Happy Italy! (The pizzas are tasty, though.)

Had a lovely time sitting on the terrace with a friend. The service was friendly and the food was excellent, as were the drinks. You can sit outside here in relative peace and quiet, and it is nice that there is sufficient space between the tables.

The employees are not very friendly when you have questions. You want to ask them, and they point at each other, saying that person needs to go to someone else. It took three people before someone finally came to help. The pizzas have no taste and all taste the same.

The pizza for the kids was burnt on the bottom; after mentioning it, a new one was made immediately. That was great. It's a shame the pizza was very light on peppers, 8 in total on a whole pizza. The spaghetti bolognese tasted like a ready-made supermarket sauce had been thrown on it. This is really not recommended. Also, the terrace was closed.

We were received with little communication; apparently, we were told to follow along without being told. Subsequently, the boy at the table was very friendly. After that, I wanted to use the restroom and took a wrong turn; I was rudely sent away as if I had been in the wrong place on purpose. If it had been my first visit, I would never have come back. I know it can be different.

I don't like being forced to speak English to the wait staff. I live in the Netherlands and want to order in Dutch.

I ate there yesterday. Not all staff members are friendly. The food was good, but you really need to buy new tableware; it just won't do like this. And don't buy tableware with a print where the food is placed. That paint, which is already quite worn, could stick to the food. Not a pleasant thought. It was the first time I ate there. The strange thing is, I saw Nijland report this half a year ago, so you could have done something about it right away. At first I thought I would come back again, but now that you are negligent and aren't investing in new tableware, there's a chance it will only become less appealing to the public.

This isn't my first time there, and I highly recommend it. The food is excellent, and in season, you can get delicious, sweet Dutch waffles. Everyone must try them.

We ate at Happy Italy in Enschede today. I was really looking forward to the carpaccio pizza – the ingredients and toppings were indeed delicious and fresh. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the preparation: the dough wasn't fully cooked in the middle and was therefore quite doughy. A real shame, because with a few more minutes in the oven, the pizza would have been perfect! The service was otherwise friendly, and the atmosphere was as lively as ever. I hope they pay closer attention to the cooking time next time.

I like to eat here. It's popular with students because the food is relatively inexpensive. The place has a great vibe. It's really good. The food is a bit bland, but a little pepper and salt fixes that.

I had the worst pizza here ever! Store-bought frozen pizza and microwaved it yourself are even better. I highly recommend it. Not only is it expensive, but it's also very unprofessional!

I have never had such tasteless pasta. They cook that tasteless spaghetti, throw 2 tasteless peppers on it, and then charge €11 for it. Congratulations. I cut the pasta as revenge.

We went there with my friends and it was absolutely awful. My pasta had no taste and was overcooked. If you go here which I do not recommend do not order pasta Alfredo. For the price that they ask it's absolutely not worth it.
