Happy Italy Rotterdam Kop van Zuid in Feijenoord

The food was good and the service was good too. However, we booked with Kruidvat vouchers, and you really notice the difference. You supposedly get 2 for the price of 1, but if you compare it to the portions without the discount, you actually get half the amount of pasta in your bowl. They just can't do that with the pizzas. So you're better off ordering pizza instead of pasta if you really want to take advantage of the discount. Then it really is 1+1. The pasta is simply halved.

One waitress was exceptionally unfriendly. She clearly wasn't in the mood. The other one, by the way, was very nice.

Bought 2 pizzas for €14.95 using a Kruidvat voucher, or so we thought. Unfortunately, we didn't receive a barcode upon purchase, so we still had to pay the full price, and we paid for the voucher as well. What a tease!

The atmosphere was good because the restaurant was full. Furthermore, the drinks were very tasty, especially the homemade iced tea. I hardly saw the wait staff, though. We had to wait a long time to order drinks, so that was really a shame. Due to the crowds, we were served lukewarm pizzas. Otherwise, we had a nice evening.

Good food and quick serving times when it's not too busy, polite and patient waiters. When it's overcrowded you may have to wait longer than expected for the food. Overall 4/5, definitely going back, good location!

I had to wait a bit before I was allowed in and therefore had little confidence because I saw that it was very busy and I expected to have to wait a long time. That turned out to be a mistake; I was served quickly, the staff were friendly, and yes, the food is familiar and generally good for the price. Compliments to the Kop van Zuid team!

Nice restaurant on the Kop van Zuid. Had a delicious meal with my son. Used the Kruidvat promotion. It works well with a separate card, but the final bill only shows a small discount. Still fine though, and fun to do. So, recommended!

The restaurant itself was nice, but unfortunately, the staff were not very professional or friendly. I ordered a waffle with my coffee and waited for quite a long time, but it was never brought to me. When I went to pay, I noticed that the waffle was still included on the bill. I pointed this out to the staff, but instead of simply removing it, I was told that I had to pay for it and could either have them make it for me to take away or leave it as it was. I found this quite disappointing, especially since I had already waited a long time and never received it. The only positive thing was the fun shape of the pizza I ordered for my child. Unfortunately, the taste did not live up to its appearance. Overall, the service and customer experience definitely need improvement.

If you want a quick, affordable bite to eat before going to the movies, this is a good place to go. Not haute cuisine, but just tasty pasta and a fine glass of wine or beer. It's nice that the food isn't dripping with grease. The service was top-notch, very attentive. We will be back.

What a great restaurant! And the service, amazing!

We chose a salami pizza and received pepperoni. This one was also very spicy. Upon inquiry, it turned out this was the only one available, even though the menu clearly listed salami pizza and spicy pepperoni pizza... We mentioned during the reservation that it was their birthday, and upon arrival, we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come and take us to our table, even though there were plenty of tables and staff. There was absolutely nothing festive about it. The only upside was the play piece for the boys and 2 nice waitresses. Otherwise, downstairs was what we are used to there.

The pizzas were really delicious and the food was definitely recommended. Unfortunately, our experience with one of the waitresses was less positive. When we entered as a group, there was a waitress with blonde/colored hair who treated us in a very rude manner. We felt completely unwelcome and were even on the verge of leaving. Fortunately, her colleague was incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks to her warm and hospitable attitude, we ended up staying. It is a shame that one waitress made our first impression so negative, because the pizzas were truly delicious.

We were kindly received. The food was ordered and delivered quickly; we ordered pizzas and they were delicious. Looking forward to the next time and maybe thanks to Kruitvat again.

I was well helped by certain people whose names I saw on the receipt. (Maria) There were problems with my food, which was moldy, and fortunately she was able to resolve this. The “Manager,” with black hair and a beard, was a bit cocky, because it was supposedly just fine. I am fed up with the behavior of these kinds of “managers.”

Despite the nasty and bothered Servers , the chicken is not even fresh grilled its convenience, also the saures. No one cares about that. If have zero taste and want fast food you can go there but absolutely nothing tastes good or is truly homemade. They forgot the Truffles in my truffle pasta. When i gave it back they were so rude and not even apologized . Bad quality bad service .. worst Date of my life 😂

The pizza was way too raw, but this was immediately resolved properly and put back in the oven. The service was really excellent and polite. Unfortunately, the venue had to close early due to noise complaints from the neighbors. Which is nonsense, because everyone is eating quietly. I like to eat late and therefore hadn't finished eating when we had to pay and leave. I had to take half of it with me. I found this very disappointing. Unfortunately, the venue can't do anything about it, as these rules were imposed on them. As a result, their beautiful terrace by the water can no longer be used, so sitting inside is now mandatory. It's a real shame. It is the Kop van Zuid; there should simply be life there.

Terrible experience. At Happy Italy, they had no pizzas left on August 5th. Additionally, everything took an agonizingly long time, and we sat at ‘The Fast Italian’ for 2.5 hours. I strongly advise against this restaurant.

The moment you step into the restaurant you feel welcome, personal attention from the waiter, from guiding you to your seat and taking care of the details during the dinner. The taste, freshnes and, because we are Dutch, size of the portions is very good. And all of that for a friendly price. Warmly recommended.

The staff was really very unfriendly; upon entering, the lady didn't speak Dutch, whereas the ladies in the restaurant did. There was no explanation on how to order. Food was placed on the table, and even asking about something was too much trouble; we all quickly wolfed down a few bites and just took the rest with us, as we had already eaten and drunk due to the atmosphere. Even taking it home wasn't done wholeheartedly....

Too heavy. The waiters are pushy. You're barely seated before they ask for your order. Everything has to be done quickly. Too quickly. This place was recommended to us. Yes, it's good value for money, but the food is too heavy. No one finished their plate. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Arrived around 2pm and the restaurant was totally empty, there was 0 pressure, but yet the waitress was rude when asked for a different table next the window, despite the empty restaurant. Unfortunately, it went only worse from then. Food was ok, but rude behaviour isn't appreciated.

The food tasted awful, it was so disgusting I almost threw up. And the unfriendly staff kept bothering me and harassing me during the meal by constantly asking if I wanted a drink. Never again!

Excellent experience at Happy Italy Rotterdam! The location in the Kop van Zuid area is one of the most beautiful in the city with a wonderful view and a very nice atmosphere especially if you sit near the windows. The area is modern and ideal for a walk before or after dinner. The service was fast and organized, the staff was polite and helpful, and the dishes came without a long wait. Large portions, good prices and a pleasant environment. Very good choice for groups and families. I would visit again!

There was a bit of confusion regarding the website offers and the store itself, but in the end, Mo helped me out really well! Got a soft drink and received my food nice and fast! So I'm happy!

We went here for dinner today with 3 colleagues. We were helped in a really nice way by a staff member, and the food arrived quite quickly after ordering. Definitely recommended!

Enjoying pizza before a theater performance. A great combination, right? But unfortunately, the doner pizza was a garlic sauce pizza with very little meat. According to the rude waitress, this is how it's supposed to be. This is doner, sir!! Pizza with sauce; if you want more meat, you can purchase it separately. No, I want much less sauce. No, this was not quite what we had expected. P.S. The theater performance made up for the evening though!!

Delicious fresh food, tasty iced coffee. Service is super fast and very friendly.

Our server, Oana, was a delight. So helpful and sweet. We had the Tiramisu Iced coffee and Margarita pizza. Both were fabulous. Eat your heart out Starbucks! Check out our iced coffees! Yum!

I ordered a cheesecake that was unfortunately inedible. After the first spoonful, it was clear I couldn't eat it. I immediately informed the server and said I didn't want to pay for it. The way I was handled was disappointing: I didn't feel like I was being taken seriously. We had the impression that we were treated differently than other guests because of our age. Our complaint wasn't addressed professionally. That was my first and last visit. It's a shame, because I was really looking forward to going there.

the food was mediocre at best. i only had 1 day to travel in rotterdam, and sitting here was the worst choice i made. i wasted 2 hours waiting for the most basic pasta (alfredo) for it to be mediocre. i could've seen much more in the city, and they wasted my 2 hours. 0 coordination. i also ordered a bruschetta, and the bread was not fresh. it was hard to chew, not in a way that it was crispy and toasted. please dont come here to waste your time if you're short on time and hungry.

Misleading marketing campaigns with Pathe.

I went there last week with a friend from New Zealand. He accidentally spilled half a liter of beer on the table, on the pizza, and on my clothes. The staff were super attentive, gave us a new drink, a new pizza, and were incredibly quick at cleaning everything up. Not only was the service very good, but the food was fantastic too.

Arrived at 12:00 (the restaurant opens at 11:30) and it was completely empty. Despite that, the server rather rudely asked whether we had a reservation. When I said no, she replied, “Let me see what we can do,” as though seating us might be difficult in an entirely empty restaurant. Unfortunately, the service didn’t improve from there. Throughout the meal, the server was unfriendly and dismissive. After ordering our drinks and mains, we decided to add a starter, only to be told, “Well, you should have said that at the start.” Completely unnecessary attitude. We considered leaving, but we’re new to the area, already seated, and had a hungry child with us, so we stayed. To be fair, the food was good and the pricing was reasonable. However, good food doesn’t make up for poor service. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant and won’t be returning. We saw two other families leaving after encountering her at the entrance/being made to wait very long to be seated… so I’m sure this is not a novel experience.

Tasty pasta for a fair price. Don't expect an Italian family restaurant where mom brings the orders to the table and dad stands behind the stove singing in Italian. Rather, it's a sala da pranzo. The spaghetti pomodoro and the penne with chicken were tasty. Food nice and hot and seasoned. Service was fast.

We booked the Social deal special but at the incorrect venue. Our waiter Mo was very helpful and asked us to correct t our voucher and then he served us very efficiently with so much care.

Prior to a theatre performance, I ate a portion of spaghetti with chicken, pesto, and extra spinach here, and I was a bit shocked by the price of €1.45 (!) for 1 (!) extra leaf of spinach. Otherwise, the food was okay, and the view of the Erasmus Bridge was nice too, but maybe I've become a bit spoiled by Julia's: more spinach for less money. Next time, I'll probably eat somewhere else.

We went today as a family, We all ordered pizza, the pizza was very thin so the ingredients fell out immediately, the sides were very thick, Barbecue chicken, cheeseburger, tuna, After eating everyone got a stomach ache and the children had diarrhea afterwards. Happy Italy used to be one of our favorites, but not at all anymore, Higher prices and decreased quality, No longer recommended!

The pizza was nothing Italian, only the name, and the service was terrible. The waitresses wouldn't look at you, avoiding eye contact, so the minutes ticked by and the kitchen eventually closed. Disappointing.

Overall, a good experience. The pizzas were tasty and a good size, but the toppings were really sparse. The 20cl drinks are expensive for the quantity, but apparently this is the case at several other places in the area, so it's not unique to this establishment.

The pizza was bad and dry, and other things were very expensive. Service was fine.

I have a comparison, that's why I'm writing my opinion, in Schiedam, pizza Italy is much better, as are the lemonades, I only got water with lemon where I ordered mango, the service was not nice, as if she was working as a punishment, the lady who took the order refused to change my table when others were free and unreserved, a disaster!

In this place I understood how to tell when you enter a restaurant that the food is delicious. It has to be silent in. Happy Italy is not soundless but everybody is busy with food)) no more words

The most unpleasant waitress. We came in with family. She was pointing at the places we chose, that we cannot put our child wagon next to our table. Very unwelcoming. It seems as she doesn't want the customers stay at this place. The worst service ever seen

I was there alone in the evening; they had pasta with bruschetta. It was very tasty. I was able to eat in peace and wasn't disturbed or forced to leave my seat after eating.

Great food, fast pace, and not exorbitant prices. The wine glasses are a bit sparsely filled for the price, though. But otherwise, the meal was fine. I've been here 3 times in the last few years and the food has been great every time. The pizza with Parmesan and arugula could have had a bit more cheese. All in all, a great experience. I don't think the desserts are amazing here.

For a quick bite, this is easily done at a reasonable price. But the service is subpar and the atmosphere is cold and apathetic.

We ate there before going to the theater. We hadn't made a reservation, but they found us a table. We had excellent pasta for a reasonable price! It's a large restaurant, but it looks cozy.

The food was delicious. My pasta was delicious, my sister's pizza, and she thought it was excellent too. Definitely recommended. The staff is a bit slow and they don't respond very quickly. We had a problem with fruit flies. That's why we're down one star. It's designed for a quick bite, so it's not very inviting for a late-night chat.

The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, our coffee was cold, and the pistachio waffles arrived after a long wait and didn't impress us. The service and quality were disappointing. A shame, as we had hoped for more.

We spontaneously decided to eat here. After a short wait, the friendly staff member showed us to a table. We were able to quickly replace a broken chair ourselves. The drinks arrived very quickly, exactly 30 minutes after we ordered. An Aperol Spritz arrived without an orange slice or straw, but with plenty of ice. The friendly staff member promised to get a bubble tea straw, as there weren't any others available. Unfortunately, this remained just a promise. The food arrived gradually... As soon as the last dish arrived, the first empty plates could be cleared away. Pasta dishes listed on the menu with Parmesan were served without it. Fortunately, we were able to order Parmesan separately. For us, it was quite an experience...

The service is fantastic. We were walking around on Boxing Day and thought we'd pop in. Did you have a reservation? They gave us a table with a friendly smile. The pizza is delicious...it's been a long time since I've had pizza like this.
