Vapiano Rotterdam Plaza in Rotterdam Centrum

It's a disgrace. My daughter and I ordered pasta without our allergic ingredient. We've been waiting for a response for three months now, and I've received all the emails. Luckily, I saved them in my inbox. You almost poisoned me! I've repeatedly requested a solution, and so far, you've come up with nothing. The person who sent the email was Liesbeth. If you call them and explain, you just get a big middle finger. My heart aches at how people can be like that.

Went for food with my 11yr old son after a long day travelling, I ordered a calazone he ordered pasta. My calazone came quickly, sadly his food didn't come for a full 20 mins after, had to share it across the table with him. No apology, no excuse, no complimentary snack for him. The service was nothing short of disgusting. I'd avoid this place like the plague

They have delicious pasta and pizza. I've been there several times and haven't been disappointed once. It's always delicious. Their homemade iced tea is my favorite drink there. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere.

The food was delicious!!! We had pasta and pizza and the portions were huge! The stuff was very helpful and Katerina the manager was very hospitable!

I found it incredibly difficult to order takeout here. It took two trips to find someone at the takeout counter (if it hadn’t have been pouring rain I would have skipped this place). The restaurant was crowded and loud and the food mediocre.

The pasta was absolutely not tasty 🙁 The chairs are not comfortable, but there are plenty of seats.

You order through a QR code on the table. Pay and less than 20 minutes, your food gets to your table “freshly cooked”. Vapiano never seems to put me down. Always makes me leave with a smile!

The food could have been better for the price. The pizza was hard as a rock; for 15 euros, you can get better quality elsewhere. 🤷‍♂️

Good and easy food. Nice people working there. Well decorated. Clean toilets. I find the drinks overpriced (coke zero 4.95 for 33cl = a can of cola). And drinks take a while to arrive, but we were in no rush. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for an easy, tasty bite.

We arrived at Vapiano Rotterdam Weena and immediately Patritcia helped us what to do, as we thought we had to scan the order. No, she helped us all the way, so friendly, helped us with a taste of beer as we didn't know the names/taste Patricia deserves a 10/10 for her help which made our experience so much better and quicker.

The atmosphere is good. There are some shortcomings in the service, though. Our dessert arrived before the main course. Since the pizza didn't arrive, we finished our dessert and drinks. We're full, but still waiting for the pizza. Otherwise, everything is fine.

Just got of the station and searched for food options … was so pleasantly surprised by this place … ordering through the QR code was quick and efficient … food was delicious with plenty of veg options. Friendly and efficient service … will be going here again for sure !

This isn’t a luxury Italian restaurant—it’s a busy, fast-paced spot—but the value for money is excellent. The service you receive here would typically warrant at least a €5 tip elsewhere. The pizzas are good and priced very competitively; for the same cost as a doner and drink, you can enjoy a freshly made pizza of your choice. If you’re looking for comforting food, high quality at a reasonable price, and genuine, down-to-earth service, this place is well worth a visit. In fact, it’s better than many popular restaurant chains.

Pizzas, pastas, and salads of good culinary quality, with plenty of choice. The downside is the English-speaking staff and the illusion that ordering is only possible via QR code with your smartphone. But the great thing is that the staff also allow you to place your order with a live, flesh-and-blood human being (a real organism), pay in cash, and even have a cash tip jar.

Unlike Vapiano in France, there is vegan cheese and you get served, but you have to pay for water 😊

Slow service, good pasta and generous portions.

The food was delicious for a good price and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Very good service, friendly staff and excellent fusion cuisine. Central and well decorated, it has a cozy atmosphere despite being a large, glass room inside an office block, thanks to the rosemary plants, candles and Mediterranean oils and vinegars in bottles. The only semi-negative point: slowness in serving in the old way: in person. It seems that they encourage the use of QR, which is also practical and already very widespread everywhere.

Friendly staff and excellent food 😌 The tiramisu was truly the highlight of my evening 💓 If you're looking for authentic pizza, I wouldn't go to Vapiano, but if you don't feel like chatting with people, the QR code system is handy. Keep in mind that pastas are ready faster than pizzas!

The pickup service is incredibly poor. I waited half an hour longer than the stated pickup time, without any apologies.

Delicious food, fast delivery, easy phone ordering. It's great that you can choose options with your meal. Why not a 5? It wasn't perfect, but it was delicious and fast.

A lot has changed at Va Piano. The food is excellent, the staff helpful and friendly. It's nice to have a quick bite to eat. The drinks are unfortunately overpriced.

It was a really great experience, and we will definitely be going back. We ordered through the QR code provided, paid using the same QR code, and received everything without any delays. Absolutely awesome. I highly recommend it. The food and drinks were delicious, and the prices were reasonable—nothing above normal rates.

After years I thought about going to Vapiano again. Regret for sure. Pasta I ordered had no taste at all. At the table I was busy with salt and pepper myself every time. For me this is just proof not to eat there anymore.

I especially like the salads here. Unfortunately, there was almost no tenderloin in the tenderloin salad (5 very small pieces). The salad was fine, but I thought it was a bit of a shame.

After a day out we stopped at Vapiano. We were helped quite quickly by a friendly host and the delicious food was served within 10 minutes. You would think what a perfect evening until our little one of 3 years old asked for water. The arrogant and unsympathetic bartender had to tell us without mercy and or the price that they only sell water and do not supply tap water. Our first question was for water nothing more. According to the manager he was very professional. My apologies but he and the manager should be retrained. This is anything but hospitable, the sound sets the tone. We had paid the price well but this was not a nice ending to such a nice day. To the hosts our compliments your friendliness was noticed the 2 stars for the atmosphere are for you.

Food was great! Service was a bit slow but it works. Atmosphere was very good! Everyone happy with their friends. But the toilet was terrible! One was clogged and one had no light. Overall I give it a 4!

Food fine, but way too much time between my dish and my wife's. This happens too often and now we even ordered the same dish. Very disappointing like this.

We had a delicious and plentiful meal here. Orders are placed at the table via QR code and payment is also made directly. The food came quickly, but it was also quite empty. The portions were sufficiently large. The ambience was nice because, as already mentioned, it was quite empty and also nice and quiet. Basically, you can't go wrong with a visit here.

Visited Vapiano today during our short stay in Rotterdam, we both ordered lasagna, it was just 'ok' very 'wet.' Sauce to pasta/mince ratio too high, we found it disappointing, not very satisfying. If you order lasagna be sure to add an accompaniment, maybe some bread rolls 🤷. Staff were friendly, service was fine.

The employees are very rude. They are truly mentally ill, from my experience several times. Although I love Italian food, BUT I would NEVER EVER go back .

Was helped very well. Woke up during the night with diarrhea and the urge to vomit. Literally saw mice shooting across the floor throughout the store. The pasta stuck together. No, I didn't have a good feeling about this place, unfortunately..

At the first glimpse looks lovely place to have your lunch. Unfortunately, glasses were dirty while serving soft drink, I have to say it have been changed after asking. It's rather cold here too. Well food.. Definatelly not Italian or even Italian style. Have tried many Italian dishes in my life and would say this one was the most memorable, and not in a good way. Definitely would suggest not to come and not to ruin your mood while visiting Rotterdam.

Not that Italian food, a good amount of pasta but overcooked. You order through QR on the table, but the app doesn’t give you the option to remove the Parmesan that in some pasta, specially the one with fish, it’s not the ideal.

Don't go there. It's a tourists trap, a scam. Paid 22 euros for 2 of the most disappointing dishes i ever ate. First of, the worst pasta i ever ate. Way overcooked yet still very dry, the spices doesn't taste like anything and there's 10 times too much to the point you can't taste anything anymore. Then second, the most blend margaritha ever no taste, even a frozen pizza from Albert Heijn taste better, without to mention it’s as thin as a sheet of paper so theres literally nothing to feed you. They also brought me 2 thin slices of bread and made me pay extra for it. As it may looks attractive but avoid this place by all means.

Food was ok, but the service is terrible. You order via a website using QR code, and they first bring you a beer and a dessert, then a main dish, and then an appetizer. Complete chaos and desynchronization, but perhaps fine if you’re just having beers in a small company. My Italian friend started doing the angry 🤌 gestures and insisted they change their name to a non-Italian sounding one.

At Vapiano’s we’ve just enjoyed the best dinner on our Netherlands vacation!!! The service was top notch and friendly, the salad was crisp and fresh, and the tagliatelle bolognese was out of this world. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

They have plenty of seating for people dining alone. I ordered their shrimp & spinach risotto. Service was prompt. Food was alright. I also had a glass of red wine. I only wish they served tap water for guests who order red wine. Otherwise a pleasant experience. Great location, right outside the Rotterdam Centraal station.

This place has a variety of pizza and pastas. They even have very good options for vegetarians and vegans. Ambience is quite good and cosy. Been here many times, and this yime I must say the pastas were really nice like lot better than before and also the garlic bread.

At first, the concept seems nice, but the service needs to be improved. They don't serve dessert before the main course. There's no greeting or goodbye. The customer is completely ignored here, which is a shame... This restaurant is impersonal. Fortunately, our food was quite good.

Good fresh food. We went in the afternoon which made it come very quickly. Tip: order extra cream with your pasta. It may become drier over time. With extra cream it remains tasty and the cream is not overpowering.

Delicious pizza and tasty Cornetjes. And of course the classic, coffee, tiramisu and Amaretto.

The location near the train station is a big plus, but as with other things I don't like about Rotterdam, the waiters in big cities are not that friendly. There was too much cream in the chocolate puffs, which gave me diarrhea.

I really enjoyed my pasta carbonare salmon. It was delicious. Lemonade was tasty too. My colleagues were also very pleased with their lasagna, garlic bread and pizza. Fast service (lasagna took a while to arrive). Staff friendly and decor very nice.

Nice place very nice staff but the pizza was mediocre like really mediocre. The place would benefit from more heaters. Like the ordering with the qr code. They could also be more child friendly there's no spots for kids

Good pastas, carbonata my favourite was really good as usual in Vapianos. Scanning order didnt work for us for some reason but staff took our order from table. Recommended.

I have never had such bad pasta and carpaccio in my life, I had the aglio e olio, the recipe revolves around garlic and oil, there was hardly any oil on it and the garlic was hard to find. The pasta was also bizarrely overcooked, it broke, it really clumped together and it was just tasteless, I don't know how an Italian restaurant overcooks pasta, it doesn't seem like something for such a place. The carpaccio was clearly frozen on the plate as the edges were sticking and were completely hard/dried out. It still had a great taste, but that is due to the liters of sauce they poured over it. All in all, I won't go back here again, and I recommend that you also walk a bit further to the next Italian.
