The sauce was too watery, so the pasta became a mushy mess. It was also very bland. It's not what it used to be. But it's okay.

Unfortunately, we didn't feel particularly welcome upon arrival. The atmosphere was lacking and the service was poor. Whenever we asked for something, it seemed as if it was done reluctantly.

Very good food and a great atmosphere, but you're very limited to ordering via mobile. The prices were also quite high, so the price/performance ratio wasn't good.

I received the wrong pasta and returned it later, but the restaurant called me a liar. Don't eat here; their behavior towards customers is also very arrogant.

The website advertised gluten-free pizzas and pasta, but they weren't listed. Twice, a new round of drinks didn't arrive for half an hour. Asking where his order is in between orders irritates the staff. My son's pizza didn't arrive until an hour after the other orders, so by the time he started eating, we were already finished. The atmosphere is also lacking, bare and uninviting. In short: I won't be back.

Decent for a simple pizza or pasta. I have tried both the pizza and pasta. The pizzas are large and thin. Italian-style. My mum ordered the Pizza w/ Pepperoni and found it enjoyable; though not particularly memorable. I usually order the Campanelle w/ Bolognese, which I quite like. However, the portion tends to include too much pasta and not enough sauce. The Lasagna (w/ meat) was acceptable, but not outstanding. It seemed as though it had been pre-prepared, cooled and then reheated. It arrived warm, but the centre was still cold; suggesting it may have been refrigerated or even frozen beforehand. The pricing is reasonable. However, there are a few downsides. - The ordering system is somewhat quirky. If seated inside, you must order with a plastic card. If seated outside, you must order with a QR code. - The tables and chairs felt sticky. - The bathroom was not clean. - Complimentary bread is not provided, but you can order some separately for scarpetta.

At 10:30 PM, the lady behind the counter said, "Take-away only." I immediately left.

There's no set rule. Food can be prepared differently every time. If it's well-prepared, it's delicious, otherwise, it's not. Pasta, for example, sometimes has too little sauce or too much. Pizza, for example, can be well-cooked, sometimes limp, with the cheese not even melted. It's a shame, because it's a good restaurant.

Upon entering, we deliberately chose a comfortable table, but it was still littered with dirty plates, glasses and napkins from previous guests. Had a delicious meal with my colleagues

There was a cheeky boy in the bar area who threw coffee and tea and then he was spoken to and he just walked away. Super antisocial and arrogant. We wanted to make this known to the manager and he wasn't there either. The other colleagues look at it as if it is all very normal. This is not what we were used to from vapiano elsewhere.

Pretty nice place to visit if you're new to Rotterdam. Though I appreciate the online ordering system, does make the dining experience a little quiet/lonely. Do like that you can customise the pasta dish to your own preferences.

Vapiano Binnenrotte is never disappointing. The pasta is very tasty there and the service is also great. But a tip: the pasta with prawns is not pregnancy-friendly. However, this is indicated when you want to order the dish. Because I am pregnant and use an app that tells you what you can and cannot eat, I knew that you should not eat shrimp. If I hadn't known that, I probably would have ordered it. It probably wouldn't have been anything wrong, but you'd rather not risk it. So it would be useful if this were adjusted.

It's the worst pasta carbonara I've ever tried in years. Sticky noodles covered with a lot of cream and cheese trying to gave a missed flavour. If you want eat pasta even the basic one, avoid this place. The only good was the Sprite I drank.

Excellent base of the pizza, although quite burnt in some places. We ordered a Gorgonzola and Margarita pizza to take away. If I had gotten this at the restaurant I would have returned it. Went there with a “friend” and it wasn’t busy but you could see alot of staff there doing their things! Normally this restaurant’s limited staff when is not busy but not this one( mind u it was a Tuesday night). Staff always asking if eveois ok, if the food is ok 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

I had an amazing time at Vapiano! The staff was friendly and attentive, making my visit truly special. A huge shoutout to Lola, one of the employees, who went above and beyond to help me. I had ordered a cheesecake to surprise my girl with a special message, asking her to be my girlfriend. Lola not only made sure it was perfect but also added a personal touch that made the moment unforgettable. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming.

On Sunday morning the floor was extremely dirty. The toilets too. High chair too and it was too small for our youngest group. Nevertheless, we were offered a good alternative (seating area with good backrest). The food was super delicious as always.

Vapiano is delicious, the only downsides are that you should think about preparing the food faster, because sometimes you wait far too long. And the chefs may wipe their sweat more often, but not on top of the food being prepared. Sometimes I walked away because I saw drops of sweat falling from the chefs while preparing the food. This applies to several vapiano where I had ever eaten. Edit: last night (Tue 16 July) I was there again after a long time, today I got a stomach flu from the Carbonara. I already noticed that the chef put the egg in too late and only stirred it briefly. I believe that was the reason for my stomach flu. Because normally I observe that the chefs stir the egg into the pasta for longer. And what I noticed is that 3 chefs were constantly laughing at me and my friend, which happened all the time, I thought it was a bit unprofessional, the chefs are sometimes a little too busy with each other rather than focusing on their work. For the rest, the host and hostess were professional and nice.

The order is placed and paid through a mobile application, you take the cutlery and in general it is all very cold and impersonal. The food is good as a contrast.

I don't think I've ever eaten somewhere with less helpful people in my life. The place is the most impersonal I have ever seen, but that's not the bad thing. The way they order is through a website, where you also pay with the card. This means that the waiter does not have to approach the table at any time, so you do the work. Compared to a few years ago, it has deteriorated considerably. Food has become more expensive, but the portions are much smaller. Carpaccio super small with lots of salt and a bowl of the tomato soup is for a quarter. Sent tomato soup back because it was cold, then got it back and it was still not warm. Last weekend I had dinner at Vapiano with my family. Unfortunately, our experience was far from positive. Although some of our orders were served quickly, others in our party had to wait as much as half an hour for their dishes. The long waiting times have been a major disappointment for us, and we expected better from Vapiano. This kind of service makes it difficult to enjoy the evening. It is a completely standard Vapiano. Nothing earth-shatteringly extraordinary but nothing bad either. The system is slightly different to the German version. Here you can sit at a desired place and place your order using a QR code via an interactive menu and pay straight away. The food itself is simply top notch and you really can't complain about the quality. I also can't understand why people are fussing about the serving method. If (for example) 80% of the orders in the entire restaurant are pasta, your own orders will be put behind, which takes some time (system catering). Orders like pizza or risotto will then arrive at the table quicker 🤷🏻‍♂️ The preparation time is also displayed when ordering. It is and remains a Vapiano and a pretty good one in the upper average range. You get what you expect. Delicious food at a fair price and quite quickly.

Mmm... In an Italian restaurant there is table service, there's no such thing as ordering from the app and then calmly serving it (it's fast food restaurants that do this). The pizza must be taller with a large crust. Then the coffee must be short espresso, otherwise avoid doing so because an Italian is very pretentious about coffee (especially a Neapolitan). It's a nice place, very elegant and spacious, but there's a lot of work to do to make it a Neapolitan pizzeria. Lastly, it is more expensive than Happy Italy, but it is open until 11pm which in Rotterdam is almost a miracle given that everyone closes at 9.30pm!

After avoiding vapiano for a few years, I thought I'd give them another chance. Unfortunately. Staff were just whispering to each other and on their phones. Ordered pasta pesto and carbonara. Pasta pesto was more like pasta salt. All I could taste was salt, if I closed my eyes I wouldn't even know there was pesto in it. My friend got a really bad stomach ache from his Pasta carbonara. Do not eat tiramisu. Toilet really dirty and smelly. Now I know for sure: never again!

My compliments to the chef for ruining a tiramisu. I'll tell you, even the tiramisu from the AH tastes better, this was not a tiramisu but rather a tiramishi hit and I want to immediately follow up on that because after the tiramishi hit I also ordered a pasta carbonada. it tasted like nothing and when I thought I could wash away that bad taste with a dessert, I felt in my stomach that everything together was just a nice preparation for the toilet. If you fancy PTSD for your mouth you should definitely come here because I certainly don't dare visit those other vapiano locations without getting a flashback to this dinner. If I could give a tip, I would say shut everything down, cook for each other during the weekend and send each other a little text at the end. In any case, you cannot do this to customers.

Hi Vapiano customer service desk. I am a very regular Asian customer who eats at your Vapiano Rotterdam Binnenrotte restaurant ( the one near Blaak location) very often. I must tell this is one of my most favorite places to eat. However, the service today(2024.Jun.11) was so bad, which really shocked me. So after talking to one guy, who said he is one of the rotating operation managers today in this restaurant location, I decided to follow his advice to put it here as well for you to look into it. I entered the restaurant around 18:30, then ordered one of my most favorite pastas. Around 5 mins later, a white girl(with semi-long blond hair) served me with my order. It was fine until I asked for a glass of water. Her first reaction was quite reluctant since she kept silence for a few seconds then said she would talk to the bartender. Then I started to enjoy my pasta while waiting for my glass of water. 10 mins passed, she still didnt come back to me with water but just kept passing by me several times while trying to avoid the eye contact with me even she was not at service to other guest at all. Until I finally waved to her while she was standing there, she pretended she just remembered what I asked and indeed this time she went to bartender. Not sure what she talked to the bartender since I waited another 5 mins, when I almost finished my dish, to get the water from the bartender who is a young guy with dark skin and served me really bad too because he put the water in front of me in a very impolite way and even without a single word or smile when I said thank you to him. This is really not the service I appreciate as a regular customer. So in the end around 19:00, I talked to the rotating operation manager then have this review here. I went to eat with a friend. We saw 3 RATS IN THE RESTAURANTS. Right in the middle. We saw others crossing the room. We caught the eye of a waitress... Who looked at us as if saying "hey yeah" sorry No really disgusting!!!!!!

They better have a show made where you can see how long you have to wait for your food because now you order and pay and then you are obliged to wait but you don't know how long before placing your order you can see how long you have to wait, you can make a choice whether you keep waiting or go elsewhere

A disastrous experience. We wanted some pasta before the marathon and thought this would be a good idea. The salad came out in minutes but an hour later, no pasta. We got a refund with no problem, but the waiting staff were really struggling to keep up with the issues and the lack of food. My advice, avoid.

Let's start with having to wait 1,5 hours to get your food. Getting your drinks in 5 minutes and they expect that white wine will stay cold for 1,5 hours. Asked to give it back and getting it when I get my meal, but the manager need to be asked first. Asked about the food and the wine 3 times, but not once one waiter went to speak to someone when they said they would. When the food came, only when demanded to get a new wine aggressively, I got another wine. I think it is best that this place is going to be shut down. Waiting for your food for 1,5+ hours and this kind of service, while paying up front... NEVER AGAIN! (Second time this happened btw!)
