Very nice Happy Italy branch! Always a friendly welcome! And whenever possible, a 'see you soon' from the kitchen staff! Pizzas and pastas are good! Always consistent in quality. I only miss the mushrooms on the salami pizza as a standard option. Top staff, friendly, personal, and service-oriented 🎉

Unfortunately, Happy Italy is no longer what it was in its prime. The prawns and mushrooms were undercooked and overcooked. Didn't give me a stomach ache afterwards, but I didn't eat comfortably.

Very friendly and helpful staff, and always, as a matter of course, the service I am used to from Happy Italy, and previously at the early days at the former Eudokiaplein branch, which is no longer there.

We were less satisfied for a while. But it's back to normal. Kudos to the team for how they managed to pull that off!

Amazing place to come with kids - the basement floor is lovely. Not just the playground, but also the food was nice for the kids and the service kind. If you are only coming as adults, take the regular seating floor and you will hear nothing.

Honestly, one of the worst pasta dishes I’ve had in a while. I ordered the Pollo e Funghi and it was absolutely disappointing. The pasta was completely overcooked, the sauce tasted like straight-up milk with basically no flavour, and there was barely any chicken in the dish. The mushrooms were so watery that you’d bite into them and they would literally burst with water. And at €16.25, this is definitely not cheap enough to excuse that kind of quality. My boyfriend also ordered a pasta dish and his pasta was overcooked as well, so unfortunately it seems like this wasn’t just a bad dish or a one-off with mine. Definitely not worth the price and I wouldn’t order here again.

Went with my girlfriend and had 2 penne plates. Both were extremely overcooked with pieces from broken overcooked spaghetti in them. That’s unacceptable for a 16EUR plate. Really the worst pasta plate I’ve ever had in my life.

It was nice and cozy. Not the best vibe ever or anything. But nice for a bit. Weird people come sometimes though, they can't help that...

Very good value for money in combination with Social Deal, had a tasty meal. Too bad about the wasps on the terrace.

We had eaten here once before, but this time the food was disappointing. The food was lukewarm; it had probably been sitting on the counter for a long time while it wasn't busy...

First experience with Happy Italy using Kruidvat vouchers. It was as expected, good but not great. It was busier than the staff could handle, so things moved a bit slowly. Staff friendly and helpful. With the vouchers, it was really a great deal.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. The table was not clean and was not cleaned either. The pizza was unfortunately not tasty, and there were several small flies around our table that kept landing on the food. The service also left much to be desired. For dessert, we ordered panna cotta, but it was served in a cardboard container without any garnish or presentation. All in all, absolutely not worth repeating. For this quality and service, you really expect more.

Always delicious food and nice people working there

Pasta were overcooked. The cheese burger pizza was an intriguing choice taste wise; the pickle and the tomato dices could have been thinner; the pizza dough was ok. The drinks were good though.

We really enjoyed ourselves at Happy Italy on the Binnenrotte. We have been there several times before, but this time it was even better than the previous times. The desserts offer many more choices, and they were amazing. The staff was also very friendly. Thanks for the evening and see you next time.

We ordered pizza and pasta, and they were delicious.

Not what it used to be; I had pasta with spinach and shrimp, which is supposed to contain red chili peppers, but there wasn't a single one in it—they had forgotten them.. there were exactly 6 shrimp in it. The lady who served us didn't speak Dutch and spoke very unclearly. However, there was a friendly young man who did speak Dutch. Not worth repeating at that branch.

We sat outside and had a lovely time, though we had to wait a bit for service. The food was delicious and served at the right temperature. The dessert with meringue and mascarpone was divine. We went home with full stomachs.

Andrea was amazing and really kind

The service was awful! We were shown to our table, the waitress ran off, and no one came back (even a 10-minute wait didn't change anything) to take our drink or food order (which we had to place via QR code). Our drinks (Pepsi) weren't poured into our glasses; instead, she almost knocked over the bottle as she ran away. The food arrived promptly, but the pasta (Carbonara) was unfortunately not tasty at all, though that's a subjective opinion. However, I should mention that at 7 pm, only 7 out of 20 tables on our floor were occupied. I've also worked in the restaurant industry, and I've never experienced such terrible service from my colleagues. 😵

The staff did their very best, but there were too few of them, which caused long waits. The terrace was open, as were the upper and lower floors. They would have been better off closing the terrace to keep the speed of service acceptable.

The pizza is delicious, Italian style, as is the pasta with intense sauce and shrimp. The service is friendly and the atmosphere makes a good impression. We recommend it.

We ate a delicious and generous pizza at Happy Italy Binnenrotte, as we often do. Because of the dog, we always sit outside, and it is a great place to sit. However, the wobbling of the uneven table is awful; cutting and leaving your drink on the table hardly go together.

I eat in this place one of the best carbonara. I think there is no better Italian restaurant in Rotterdam. Definitely i come back to this place.

Decent pasta, I've eaten even worse in Italy.

Nice Italian restaurant. There are also things for the children to do on the ground floor. The ground floor, first floor, and terrace are great places to sit. The Kruidvat promotion was also great. No problem redeeming it. Just be sure to mention it in advance.

BBQ Meat pizza was soggy due to too much meat in the middle. Not tasty. Cheeseburger pizza was surprisingly tasty. Limon mess dessert was too sweet and greasy and not nice and refreshing. Beer wheel was lukewarm.

We had Pizza Salmone on Sunday evening, followed by Tiramisu and coffee. Both the pizza and the dessert were larger than expected. The restaurant is quite large, but we sat comfortably by the window.

The food was really not good; the salmon was very salty and the pasta was very thick, barely any salt.

We went for lunch. The terrace was very nice. The service was a little slow, but the waiter was very friendly. The pizza wasn't particularly good, I'd say just okay. The salads were very good, with generous portions.

Really good pasta and portion size for the price point. Definitely recommend their Pomodoro and Bianca pasta with cheese.

I've been eating here for years; it's always delicious, but the price has pretty much doubled. For two people, you can count on €45/50, whereas a few years ago it was a maximum of €30, but overall it's top-notch.

Food was super tasty, served quickly. Not very expensive. 2 minor downsides: long wait upon arrival. Plates are covered in scratches (hard plastic).

At this point I was quite curious and intrigued. 🧐😏🤤 Today I spent a fabulous dinner with a very dear friend and her son, a really cool BFF, at this joyous place called Happy Italy! If noise is.. well, too noisy then you can take a calming spot downstairs (if there is room). Their food is served plentiful and truly fills the stomach just right! The pastas, pizzas and DEFINITELY the waffles..- 🤤 .. huh? Oh, right! They are super delicious! The service team showed much kindness and fun and happen to be multilingual which comes in quite handy! Truly adds to the happy factor. 😉 The little guy wanted to personally add the following statement: "Thank you for the food- you have a really, really nice & nicer than nice menu!" ✨ No photos as of today taken, sadly, but trust me on this: your happy hormones will dance like there's no tomorrow! 😁 Also.. they have a perfect playing ground for the little ones- WITH AN OBSTACLE COURSE & BALL PIT!

The restaurant has many outdoor seats and multiple floors inside. Despite the crowds, I was served quickly. Food and drinks were also on the table quickly after ordering. The quality was fine, though nothing special. The dessert was nicely presented on a beautiful plate.

The pizzas were delicious and the pastas were also very tasty. It is worth a try!!

The pizza was excellent and the dessert was surprising. For the price you pay, you get large portions and simply excellent food.

It was a fun experience, until one of the other visitors started throwing cookie crumbs. The entire basement was covered in water; otherwise, it's a feeding shack.

The staff speaks English, so why not Dutch? I consider this a drawback.

A very nice atmosphere, close to the water and the Erasmus Bridge. The food was delicious and served quickly.

We made a reservation for 7:00 PM and arrived promptly. We were sent to the basement, where no one was there and the atmosphere was unusually unsociable. We ordered via the QR code and then had to sit for 45 minutes without receiving anything, not even a drink. It was as if they didn't want to see us.

Arrived at 7:00 PM and still nothing after an hour. Then I went somewhere. And this during Storm Benjamin. Disgraceful!

I only recommend the pizza, which was great. The pasta, unfortunately, was not at all. Overcooked and served with either tomato sauce or cream sauce, plus various other ingredients. The staff was very friendly.
