Very, very tasty pizza. Worth the price. Very nice place inside.

Sea food pasta is way too watery. Chicken mushroom pasta is dry and no taste. Many seats inside also outdoor. Even it's not busy indoor, still wait long have drink and to check bill.

If you want to wait an hour for your food and drinks or order anything at all, come here! Never again

The food is tasty, but I will not return to this location. Because we sat inside, we immediately had a seat (albeit next to the stairs, not cozy) and we immediately ordered food. It didn't take that long to get our food, but we ordered a pizza without peppers and we got a pizza with peppers and without peppers. Misunderstanding can happen. But we finished eating half an hour later and couldn't get hold of a server to ask for a doggy bag. Half an hour later I finally got the chance and immediately ordered dessert. 40 minutes later I tapped the same server again to ask where the dessert was. Received a bit of a vague response, 'oh... yeah, I think it's there somewhere' or something. A few minutes later someone brought it, but it had clearly been sitting for a while and was therefore not that tasty anymore. In retrospect, we should have just walked to the counter after the pizza and paid.

Don't come if you're on a food craving, it takes a long time.

I would skip it. The food was really tasteless, the pasta overcooked and the restroom not really clean. The staff was really friendly and kind.

Big portions. Lots of sauce. Nice to eat when you’re hungry, but don’t expect anything spectacular. The salmon in the pasta was way too salty. In the shrimp pasta, there were only 6 shrimps (just a fact, not complaining considering the price). We liked that we could choose a pasta form, they even had a wholegrain option

Nobody came to us for 30 min even after we have told them that where we are sitting and that we are waiting, they just said “ok”

Positive point: upon entering we were immediately able to get a table (we had made a reservation). Negative points: we were asked to order via QR code, but that didn't work. The order came wrong: instead of 2 pizza toning we got 1 tuna and 1 chicken. Took a while and finally got our second tuna. The food was served and only when we had finished eating did we get our drinks. During dinner, a staff brought two extra pizzas that we had not ordered: and they started to react very annoyingly when we refused to accept those pizzas. During payment they had asked for a charge for 2 pizzas (which we had not ordered). Again a lot of fuss and strange faces from the staff, and we had to explain that we had not ordered or eaten those pizzas. In addition, the quality of food is very poor. It's chaotic and very messy. The last time for us.

Essen wurde mehrmals falsch an den Tisch gebracht und wir waren alles andere als „happy“ als wir das Essen gekostet haben. Das einzige was noch schlimmer als das Essen war, ist die Besitzer des Restaurants. Die Besitzerin war sehr unfreundlich und sich selber Trinkgeld gegeben.

Very bad, I ordered food for iftar, it came completely wrong, I couldn't reach anyone, never again from here

The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy. The pasta tasted good (although the bolognese sauce was a bit on a “watery side”). I’ve also added mushrooms to mine (you have a choice of different toppings to choose from for your pizza or pasta. The staff was nice, but it took a while for them to make their machine work, so i could use my card. So, overall with atmosphere in the restaurant it’s nice.

Tasty food with good quality and prices.

Heel goed gegeten, pasta heeft uitstekende bite en lekkere saus. Koffie achteraf ook erg goed, sfeer gezellig. Bij het eten was keuze echter uit 1 soort rode wijn. Deze was echt heel slecht en smakeloos, beetje afknapper . Wat ontzettend jammer, rest was zóveel beter.

Only the name is from Italy, but it was really fun. There are tables outside and the sun and beer made us happy.

Affordable food, nice atmosphere, helpful staff. We ate spaghetti Bolognese and penne with creamy chicken with pesto sauce. I could choose whole wheat penne. I think that is a very big plus. The portions were generous and we ate with taste.

Ate at Happy today. Always great food. But today a lukewarm pizza. This was sent back and 'warmed up'. When we returned, the pizza was still just as lukewarm. Still stated again. After 10 minutes the same pizza came back. Hot, but hard. After a second time like that you would think that a new one might just be made or at least an apology offered by way of a drink or discount. Because not good is not good. The waiter didn't think the pizza was hot either. Long story short. Shame! And personally I have never had such a bad meal at Happy. Fortunately, the pasta from my group was good.

I usually dont take the time to comment, but this food really makes me. I have never in my life eaten a pizza as awful as this one. It tasted as if someone took sandwich cheese on the pizza, and decided to let the plastic cook with it. It felt like the pizza stood around for a few days and was then put in the oven. My friend ate the spaghetti bolognese, and also could barely finish his meal, because of the plastic taste and the sauce, that was basically watered down tomato juice. The food was ready, before my friend even started to pour himself his drink. Without exaggerating, the food took 3 minutes to be ready for all 3 of us. Google didnt publish this for some reason so this is the second attempt Id rather eat outside of the trashcan in front of the restaurant, as to ever set foot in this etabilsment ever again. The water was fine.

I could write a very long letter of complaint about this restaurant, but it's not even worth it for that.

The service was super slow even though the restaurant had couple tables filled. The food overall was good.

Unfortunately, too few staff. With a reservation we still had to wait 30 minutes, after the starter someone came after 45 minutes to say that one of our group's orders had run out. The other pizza that came next was cold. And it wasn't said that there was a final round, so we couldn't order dessert/coffee..

Very grumpy employee who made us stand in line for half an hour even though we had made a reservation. It then took half an hour until we were allowed to order. Shame

It didn't start well when there were no tables available even though reservations had been made. There were about 15 people who had no tables even though they had made a reservation. It took about half an hour for us to get a table after our reservation time. The employee who pointed out the places and was busy with the reservations was very grumpy. After we finally got a seat, it took another fifteen minutes before we could finally order drinks. After it took too long for the drinks to arrive, we left. Very unfortunate. It was also noticeable that they could not keep track of the tables, as abandoned tables were still full of all the plates/drinks, etc., which detracted from the atmosphere. It seemed very messy.

Pizza was good. For starters I had cheesy bread, which didnt seem to have cheese. Three waiters were ignoring us, when we were done and wanted to pack and go. Especially the lady without uniform, who seemed to be a manager. I was waiting for her at front desk to make payment, she ignored me and went the other way (downstairs)

I always enjoyed coming here, but lately I've noticed that the service and atmosphere feel different. The staff seems less organized and the hospitality I was used to is no longer the same. Small things that used to run smoothly now run less smoothly. Hopefully this will be addressed so that the experience will return to what it was before.

On January 25, I ate a 2*pizza and 2*pasta with the kids. Received a discount coupon via the website for 2nd pizza for free. Didn't get a 2nd pizza for free when redeeming. Because it only took effect on date x. It didn't say anything except the until date. What a ball tent. We won't be there anymore. The after-service from behappy@happyitaly.nl is also terrible.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the service I recently experienced in Happy Italy Binnenrotte. During my visit I had a complaint about my food, which was served cold. However, instead of a resolution or understanding, I was treated in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner by an employee. What surprised me most was that this person was not wearing Happy Italy corporate attire, but claimed to be the restaurant manager. When I indicated that my food was not as expected, she started yelling at me instead of solving the problem in a professional manner. She then spoke in a foreign language that I didn't understand, which only made the situation more awkward. I find this behavior unacceptable and as a customer I expect to be treated in a respectful manner.

The food was okay, not the best pizza I've ever had. Lovely people, cozy atmosphere.

Discovered in 2018, this restaurant was a real gem. For a maximum of 30€, we had a main course, a dessert and drinks for two people. Today, prices have increased disproportionately, giving the impression of wanting to fool customers. The restaurant no longer has any interest, because it is now the same price, or even more expensive, than other establishments, while offering declining quality and service. 7 years ago, Caesar salad cost €4.75, today it is €13.25. What an increase! The Margherita pizza was €4.75, just like the Contadina. Today, the Margherita is €9.95 and the Contadina is €8.95. Seeing that the Margherita was selling well, they increased its price, because supplements can be added, while the price of the Contadina, with more ingredients, costs less, probably because it sold less. The Prosciutto pizza was €8.95, then increased to €10.45 2 years ago before becoming the "Con cotto". You have to look to understand that this is the new “Prosciutto” pizza. This is now €12.45, but it is bland and tasteless. Is it to limit costs? During our last visit, which will indeed remain the last, the waiter snatched the card from my hand. They seem more interested in money than in a job well done. There was a dish error when there were only two to note! Which leads us to waste, because the wrong dish was prepared and brought to me before I notified the error. Even the tiramisu I loved has changed and is no longer what it used to be. The place is no longer friendly at all. As far as hygiene is concerned, it is deplorable. The staff handles their phones with their hands and prepares pizzas without gloves or caps. The cook wears gloves, but no cap. Also note that even the napkin holders and cutlery have changed.

Absolutely brilliant following having to walk out a show called four star restaurant. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming. The staff were attentive & courteous and the food was of a good quality in massive portions and great value.

We had a birthday party in the B1 area. The kids loved it because there was a play facility. 2 hours use, with a kids menu, it's the best ^^

The portion was so generous that I couldn't finish it all. The orange stem and the green tea with lemon were also convincing. I was passionately impressed by the lovingly and wonderfully Christmassy atmosphere, which gave the restaurant a cozy cosiness. The service was “on the ball” and extremely friendly and helpful. At “Happy Italy” you will be treated exactly as a guest deserves.

Went to Happy Italy with my family. Asked for a spicy pasta without mushrooms. Instead got a pasta without any spice and got mushrooms. No vegetarian options

Stedentrip maar helaas was mijn man niet fit en wilde kidsmenu ( omdat hij geen trek had), dit kon niet. Online de menukaart bekeken en gelukkig de special staat er op. In het restaurant konden ze deze niet serveren….hele grote teleurstelling!

Good place for a meal with the possibility of talking without having to shout. The service is good but nothing special. The food is good with small quantity. The price is a little above the average for restaurants in the same region.

Don't go during the week with small children. The restaurant area next to the play area was closed. This is a very bad location with little ones. There were also many young people and they also went into the play corner because there was no supervision. The Restaurant would be better off implementing a different table policy and ensuring that the downstairs area is always open.

Das Restaurant wird dem Namen in keinster Weise gerecht. Der Service war in Ordnung , die Preise soweit auch - dachte ich. Bis ich die Pizza und den Salat an den Tisch bekommen habe. Das war leider wirklich schlecht. Man hat es sogar geschafft, dass die Pizza nicht geschmeckt hat. Einfach fad, und wirklich leider in keinster Weise 'italienisch'. Ich hab versucht mit Ölen etwas Geschmack hineinzubringen, aber das hat nur in Teilen geklappt. Leider keine Empfehlung!

Based on the reviews, I was a little afraid of what I would find at HI, but it wasn't too bad! Pizza was tasty, staff was friendly and dessert also fine. Definitely worth repeating!

We had a children's party where the children can decorate the pizza themselves, but the pizza is already baked and brought to the table half cold. And there is already cheese and sauce and you can put salami, tomato or pepper on it yourself, but it does not go back in the oven, so you eat unbaked salami and raw vegetables. Last year there was so much choice for toppings and of course the pizza went back in the oven after the kids had finished decorating. Complete waste of my money.

Excellent Italian restaurant in the center of Rotterdam. The staff were friendly and often present to provide service. The food was well prepared, but it took a long time to be delivered. Other guests were served with food before us, which is a shame The cutlery was also not washed properly. Full of stains. For the rest it is a good restaurant for good Italian food

Jammer omdat er alleen Engels sprekende waren bij hapy italy bij pathe de kuip, begrepen ze de korting niet op de site en begrepen ze niet zo goed de bestelling, en heb ik penne in plaats van spaghetti gekregen, en 3 bakken in plaats van 2 want had 1 vegan en 1 bolognesse en ze hebben 2 vegan in plaats van 1 gerekend, vond het al zo duur, maar ja had haast en kom hier ook nooit dus dacht ja zal wel kloppen, dus helaas niet gekregen waar ik voor kwam😔

Food is like in a fast food chain. Flat and bland.

Incomplete cutlery, one had a fork and spoon, while the other had a knife and spoon. Just put down a complete set. Also dirty plates and glasses, washing dishes also too difficult. Also cracked glasses. Soft drinks are also nothing, wanted a normal coke, but they only had Pepsi (changed since this year and now tastes like light), then ordered a Sisi. They arrive with zero sugar, because they normally don't have it. The food itself was reasonable and the staff not unfriendly. It was my first experience with Happy Italy, but it will also be my last. Time for a new concept, because this is nothing.

Delicious food and the staff who helped us were very friendly After ordering it didn't take long before the pizza was made and on the table, it looked delicious! 🍕 and it was! All in all, thoroughly enjoyed it!

Excellent food for a great price. Staff seem a bit frustrated, and even though most customers come for a sandwich or a piece of pizza, the business is poorly set up for this, so everything is stuck around the entrance.

Very good food in a beautiful place

Last Tuesday we had a delicious pizza on the terrace with 6 people for €126, including 9 drinks. Clear and quiet location. Making contact was a bit difficult, as the waitress initially spoke poor Dutch and later she said that she did not speak it. Getting in touch to pay also took a while, but the food was ready in no time. Too bad the arugula wasn't an extra option, but luckily no cheese and that was the most important thing.

I'm not one to go out to eat pasta. But I have to highlight and dish that I ate for quality. Chicken and Funghi Pasta. The noodles were al dente. And the mixture of the chicken cilantro and mushroom milk sauce was perfect. Cardinali sandwich. Expression that the waitress did not understand; but I hope this praise reaches the cook. Abundant and still at an appropriate price for the area.

Had lunch together, a pizza and a drink. Friendly service, the pizza less than expected. Considering previous visits to Happy Italy.

I had the pizza with tomato sauce, arugula, tomato and parmesan… not tasty. I also asked for the tiramisu without alcohol and I got a vegan version because it was the only one without alcohol and that was disgusting. Really bizarrely dirty.

Tiene una sensación de cadena de restaurantes. El servicio era decente. Un montón de pizzas y algunos platos de pasta para elegir. Las pizzas en sí eran agradables, si no increíble. El Aperol Spritz era agradable. Todos tenían un precio razonable. En general, es comida casual decente y mientras esa sea tu expectativa, no te decepcionará.

I was not satisfied with the food experience. I admit, I didn't read the menu good. I wanted some tacos as a quick bite, but I have never imagine seeing tacos with sour creme and Crème Fraîche and other type of sauce on top of a pizza as a pizza topping! Disgusting and disappointing!

We had a good meal, but less thought had been given to the placement (we were sitting next to a table with about 15 very cheerful men haha) so having a conversation was less convenient. Food some good, staff was friendly and patient. I would definitely come back here!

The 2nd pizza was forgotten by the service and we had to wait a very long time. We also had to wait a long time for the drinks. If only the food was tasty and worth the wait, but alas. The pizzas were very tasteless
