Typical small pub, the staff is very attentive and friendly, gives tips about Amsterdam. Various local beers on offer. Finger food and burgers, we had the finger food platter with bitterball, onion rings, chicken wings and dips. Everything was super tasty.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The best bar/cafe in Amsterdam! The servers are very kind and attentive. We have come several times with a friend, and have never been disappointed. We really recommend +++.

This is my favourite place to eat when I’m in Amsterdam. The ribs, well, they are the best, but everything they serve is great. Also it is good to note that if you’re on your own, they will look after you, even when it’s busy. Highly recommend

Great cocktails, much cheaper compared to other bars and not a small amount of alcohol. Bartender super nice, immediately welcoming and friendly. Always my pleasure!! Music and ambience is super relaxing and inviting.

Encontramos este encantador bar/restaurante por casualidad (después de haber sido apartado de unos cuantos otros bares que estaban medio vacíos, ¡sólo podemos asumir que es porque somos turistas! ) , la camarera nos mostró el interior rápidamente y tomó algo con nosotros en segundos. Pedí el martini expreso (uno de los mejores que he probado) y una pinta de cerveza para mi otra mitad. No sabíamos si queríamos ir a cenar ya que era temprano, pero no había prisa para hacerlo. Como hace un tiempo cuando pedimos los snacks en sus menús, nachos de res y el plato de snacks. Ambos eran buenos y justo lo que se necesitaba con unas copas! Se lo recomendaría a cualquiera, aunque se puso un poco ocupado en la noche una gente estaba entrando por bebidas. Todo el personal era educado y hablador y todo lo comprado era realmente razonable!

Staf is great and so friendly! Nice to see authentic people around, especially the bartender, he welcomed us with some gluhwein to warm us up and you could see he truly likes his job.

Nice bar to relax for a while..

Went in spontaneously for a drink. Very cozy, really nice service. We chose a classic for the drink: Bitterballen, firitted little savory balls with you. The right thing for in between.

Stopped off for a quick cappuccino while waiting for my taxi to the airport as the uber collection point is around 150yds away. Nice local cafe with a lovely atmosphere.

A nice place to sit and drink. I recommend "the best nachos in town" very delicious.

Our all time favorite place and been going here for 20yrs. Had some of the best nights out here with friends from all over the globe. Met new friends here and still in love with them all 20+yrs later now! Great food, great atmosphere, awesome service, fabulous terrace outside watching the world drive, skate, cycle and walk by with some crawling also involved after well you know AMSTERDAM 😂❤️

Good nachos and excellent service. They have several local beers and they explain each one very well. The interior environment is quite small, but smoke free! The outside environment consists of several tables outside which, if the weather is good, is pleasant.

Awesome, had lunch there several times in May 2023 when we were in Amsterdam for 5 days. Has to eat there again when our cruise ship stopped there for a day. Also drank a Lelebel blond beer, Awesome!

We were going to have a drink here, called the “owner” but when we got there it was suddenly no longer possible. Very unfortunate!!

Very nice experience in this café discovered by chance. Being French, I met 2 exceptional people...First of all, Didier, an incredible character...who perhaps knows France better than me...he is a great traveler who loves our country and our gastronomy...and finally a charming young lady whose first name I didn't dare ask (from Cape Verde) who is extremely attentive and polite...she knows her job very well. I highly recommend this Café which I can't wait to rediscover and eat there.

Pretty and friendly waitresses bring you your dishes with a smile. Tasty burger for me, hearty avocado and tomato salad for my wife. Good value for money. Close to the street so a bit noisy.

Food was ok, service was very disappointing, feels like management does not care about their customers. We had an issue with our order and had to ask for our food many times, with aggressive and patronising responses from the manager. Do not recommend

Despite forgetting an order which was eventually brought out 45 mins late refused to compensate for their error despite indicating they would. Zero interest in providing reasonable customer service after screwing up. Avoid.

Food and staff was amazing, portions really big you could share it. Location great too.

Great food, relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff

Tried their Shakshouka, potato fries (unfortunately they have stopped serving sweet potato fries), and chicken wings. Shakahouka was good. Chicken wings were crispy, warm and properly cooked. And fries were just perfect. It was companied for us with Mint Ginger tea (which was served with honey), Latte Macchiato, and Tea (selection to choose from). And price wise it was worth it. And the service was good and person attending our table was courteous. Do visit to enjoy the chill atmosphere and nice food.

Great staff. Had nachos and a local craft beer on tap and was pleasantly surprised. The guacamole was great but would love to have some more.

Awfull food, especially for that price. If you must eat here, at least avoid the chicken. 0.2l of coke are 3.80€, which is a liter price of 19€, what a joke.

Yum Yum Yum! We ordered the Jamaican Jerked Chicken, BBQ Spare Ribs, Beef Nachos, Chips/Fries and a selection of drinks. There was nothing left to spare. Soooo good 🤤 And great service too 👌

Frequent visitor to this bar/restaurant when im in Amsterdam. Quaint bar area and lots of outside a seating in a nice area. foods pretty good here and a large selection of lagers. Last visited on Kingsday 2024 so limited menu. Great music and atmosphere. Friendly staff

Such a cozy place a little further away from the crowds. If you are looking for a good lunch, dinner or anything in between please walk a couple minutes more and choose them instead of something overrated and overpriced right in the center. Famous of their nachos, but their apple pie is also very worth trying! I wish the weather was nicer, we could have sat outside on their cool benches, but the inside is well designed as well. I also want to take note of their nice service. :)

Five Spanish friends went to eat, we tried all the recommendations of the friendly waiter, a success. We speak English, however one of the waitresses attended to us in perfect Spanish that surprised us, I just want her to contact me to give me my heart back. Standard price in Amsterdam. Recommendable.

The best food I got in Amsterdam.

Family operated, and it is one of my favorite places to get a local beer, and it has decent food late. To be honest, it is the 1st place I ever had bitter ballen. I may not know if theirs is good or a Dutch scale, but I love them. I also need to mention the music. It has the best funk, motown, and just fun vibe of any of the local bars with food. This is a neighborhood with more than just 1 great local bar. I will return to this place every time I am in Amsterdam.

Drank coffee. Not what it used to be anymore. It feels like you are sitting abroad instead of in an Amsterdam café. Everything is in English, they don't even have a Dutch menu (at least we got an English menu) and everything on the wall, the beers and so on, is in English. I do not like that.

We came here for a nightcap and a small snack. It is such a nice little cozy spot, and was playing some good music as well. There's 5-6 seats at the bar and a few tables. The bartender was super nice and told us a little bit about the beers, and recommended the bitterballs for a snack. They were tasty and went well with the beers. We saw them bring some Nachos to another table and they looked amazing as well, wish we were a bit hungrier and we might have been able to order those.

We just had a drink. The two service staff were very nice and attentive. Prices standard.

Endroit cosy avec de la bonne musique. Carte courte, plats délicieux et copieux. Pas un de ces attrapes-touristes qui pullulent dans le centre… top 👍

This is an amazing dive bar with amazing food, drinks and service. We got the soul burger, chicken in a basket and the club sandwich. I even got an espresso martini and it was pretty darn good. Will eat here again.

A lovely spot to watch the world go by, with a good beer and some great food

Just stopped in for a quite drink and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the food on offer.

Don't let the small menu fool you, all the food were heavy hitters - specially recommend the chicken basket. Buttermilk style with a big crunch and a sweet chilli style dip hit the spot. Slightly long wait time but worth it. Street seating was available so vibes were there.

Went 2 different times. A cute bar to grab a drink on night time, they close the kitchen though. The burgers were really good. Service wasn’t the greatest, had to wait for the waitresses to notice us, didn’t direct us on where to sit. Nice atmosphere.

Lekker buiten, of aan de bar hangen. Bar personeel is gezellig, en in voor een lolletje. Drink hier een biertje met nacho’s!

Leuke tent, centraal gelegen en toch met een hele eigentijdse sfeer. (H)eerlijk eten, toffe bediening en ‘ok’ prijzen!

Essen war gut und der Kellner nett, aber der Service und die Preise waren leider nicht akzeptabel. Haben sehr lange auf das Essen gewartet, um dann nicht mal Besteck zu erhalten. 8€ für ein Bier ist unverschämt. Tische und Stühle kippelten und bei solchen Preisen erwarte ich wenigstens saubere Toiletten.

It was nice cozy bar which has a place to sit outside. You cam order beers and wines. They have plenty of snacks with limited vegan options. I ordered onions rings and a white beer. I went there with a friend of mine after work on Thursday evening and it was busy

Super fin café med udemærket café mad. Utrolig tørt foccacia brød til sandwichen. Nachos var til gengæld utrolig lækkert of øllene var gode

Het was echt heel lekker zeker heen gaan om heerlijke shakshuka te eten. Daarin tegen vroeg de bediening tijdens het afreken ‘en hoeveel gaan we daar van maken?’ Dit was geen grapje. Uiteraard was ik van plan fooi te geven maar het is zeer ongepast hier naar te vragen.

Good place to drink local beer on! The waitress /bartender was ver skill about beers! i got really good trip in Amsterdam local beer hoods! Will probably come i getting to Amsterdam next time! Recommend to visit if would great local beers and great atmosphere!

The food here was not very good. The nachos are definitely NOT worth it. The kitchen changed the kind of Nachos without asking first. When we asked the waitress, she was like : oh the kitchen said they run out of chicken so they made veggie nachos instead of chicken nachos. Do you really mind? ... I like the chicken & veggie skewers but some veggies were a little over cooked. One would expect better quality food for the price. Drinks are good. Although we ordered the bottled ones.

Great place to stop and eat, near the train station. The service was very slow, the food was good, the beer was great. I would go back and eat here again but may need to stop by a coffee shop first.
