Hasta La Vista, Baby in Zuidas

We were a group of 4 and very much looking forward to finally visiting the restaurant, but I have to say that through the entire evening, the (lack of) service completely ruined our experience. While the food and drinks were fantastic and the restaurant and atmosphere themselves perfect and lively, we just did not enjoy the evening due to the lack of service, and at some times the sarcastic replies from staff to our questions or requests. Towards the end of the meal, when asked how everything was, we even mentioned this, after which no one has offered an apology or asked about it again. The entire evening, there wasn't one time that a staff member came to the table without us needing to call them over several times. We even saw them ignoring us after seeing us waving for them. We waited over 30 minutes for the dessert, which we finally had to ask for, like all other things during a meal that should have been hassle free. For such an expensive outing that should have been enjoyable and pleasant, we left disappointed and angry. All in all, even though we believe the potential was high, we had a terrible evening. As someone who works in horeca myself, I really don't understand how this could have happend.

Great location! We held a small business event here at the bar in the evening. The view, atmosphere, and snacks were fantastic.

Perfect place to grab small plates and get a great view of business district in Amsterdam Zuid. Excellent cocktails named after famous personalities. The three that I tried were perfect. The small plates are essentially small bites to have with drinks like olives, jamon iberico etc. Service was very good. The seating area in front of floor to ceiling windows of the bar side is in tiers like stadium seating and gives everyone perfect views.

A new concept with a beautiful view of the Zuidas business district! Delicious food and a lovely bar with tasty cocktails. I'll be back soon!

A beautifully situated rooftop bar in the hotel, with a kind of staircase so everyone can enjoy the view. The drinks are good, but I would have liked a whisky menu, as the waiter unfortunately didn't know anything about it 🤷‍♂️. However, this shouldn't detract from the ambiance, and the DJ provided good music. We'd gladly come back for drinks on our next visit to Amsterdam.

Great view, good food and cocktails. Redesign glow up transformed it into more of a Soho House vibe. Menu features a number of yummy fish and meat options alongside flavorful cocktails. Staff was really off the night we were there forgetting one of the courses we added to the menu, one of the cocktails ordered, and having to be reminded about the desert order but were friendly throughout. The steak covered with iberico is a highlight main and the stuffed peppers were a strong starter. Good for a date night with an amazing view in a chic setting.

Superb place - cozy, delicious and great service. Only the music became a bit too loud at some point, due to which we had to scream at the top of our lungs to continue our conversation at the dinner table.

The blonde girl at the door is so rude !!! She ignore us and pretend not seeing us. We already gave feedback for their manager, she is so rude. Hope she can change her attitude.

Definitely a five for the view and the vibe. Not super friendly for late night solo diners. Lots of tables available but she “needed to check” the kitchen is open until 1030. I arrived at 945. I was told I would have to sit at the bar which I was fine with. The next directive was a bit odd. “Sir, I see you have a laptop, you cannot use that in the restaurant.” Ok, I can see that this might harsh the vibe. But, as I sat down, the woman two seats away from me was in full laptop mode. I pointed questionably. I was promptly told that she was the chef. Ok, fair, but a real bit of “do as I say not as I do”. Apparently, chef laptops do not harsh the vibe!? Ok, onto the service. When it arrived a wee bit later than I have done, it was excellent. I had a glass of Chablis, also excellent. Ok, onto the food. Sitting at the bars watching the kitchen work was lovely. A young but clearly committed team. Impressive to watch. I ordered three items. Jambon iberico bellotta, soft shell crab and berries with marscapone ice cream. The jambon itself was VERY salty (and it does not need to be) and disappointingly, no hint of the usual strong and traditional favour of the bellottas (the acorns) I have had this usually delicious cured meat in both Spain and Portugal. You can definitely taste the acorns in the ham in both these places. Not at all here. Now, the dish had some really redeeming features including the amazing (crunchy, thin, and very tasty) flat chips with the ham. Equally delicious was the tomato relish reduction (superb). Alas, if only they had made the made the main event the real deal (ie. soft, fatty, not salty, and a defined acorn taste). The soft shell crab was perfect. Maybe the best I have had. Perfectly cooked and served. Yum. The dessert was also quite good. Tasty, fresh. A wee bit overpowered with the sauce (mint? Another herb. As a side note, it was pretty interesting to watch them accidentally serve an Islamic man a dish that was clearly pork. They fixed it but that is a bad move in my experience. So, all in, two apples and a dessert with two glasses of Chablis = 88 euros. Pricy, maybe worth it. Fix the jambon and it would be.

The food was delicious! The atmosphere, ambiance, and view were fantastic! The service was very friendly and attentive. There was one mistake with the main course, but it was resolved quickly and efficiently. Definitely recommended. I personally think the price-quality ratio is excellent, but hey, you're in the heart of Amsterdam, so that's to be expected.

Great experience, very convenient and well-managed

Had the 2 course lunch menu which is great value. I had the beef tartare which was delicious and the bbq duck was also very tasty.

The staff member at the entrance was quite rude. When we asked to change our table, she told us that all tables were fully reserved, but during our two-hour meal, no one ever came to those tables. When we were leaving, we had to wait for them to finish her phone call before we could get our coats from the cloakroom. There was absolutely no smile or sense of hospitality. However, we had no problems with the other staff or waiters - they were polite and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. Thanks to the kitchen and service team.

Food was okey, service was terrible. All food came late, and the first waiter we had was so unfriendly. Thankfully later we were helped by someone nice (but still slow) I would not recommend

Hasta La Vista, Baby | Amsterdam Zuid They’ve renovated it since I last visited for dinner, switching the bar and restaurant areas around, a smart move that lets you enjoy a romantic dinner while watching the sunset over the city. We stopped by for some bar snacks and a cocktail (Amaretto Sour), which was expertly crafted. The atmosphere is chic and relaxed, with a great mix of sophistication and warmth. A stylish cocktail bar with an elevated vibe, I’ll definitely be back to try the full dining experience.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The staff was genuinely friendly and always stopped by for a chat, which I really appreciated. We went to Hasta La Vista for drinks after dinner and it was so good! The atmosphere is amazing and they had a live DJ. We had a reservation but chose to sit by the bar to enjoy the atmosphere. We got Antonio and Miguel, both really good.

A week ago, I went to the restaurant "Hasta la Vista Baby" in Amsterdam with my girlfriend for her birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was anything but satisfactory. We had a three-course meal that was not only disappointing but also overpriced. Each course only arrived after about an hour of waiting – absolutely unacceptable. The meal itself was poorly prepared and definitely not what you would expect for this price. Dessert never arrived, even though we waited patiently. The service was also unfriendly and left a lot to be desired. After the long wait, we'd had enough and decided to order the bill – without dessert. The waiter did remove dessert from the bill, but that couldn't excuse the overall disappointing experience. For us, this was a one-off experience, and we certainly won't be returning. The way the staff treated us was a disgrace, and the food couldn't make up for the poor service and overpriced value.

Highly recommended if you want a delicious meal with a beautiful view of Amsterdam. Honestly, you come here for the taste, not the portions. And while it might be a bit on the expensive side, the atmosphere and the view more than make up for it.

We had a fantastic evening last Thursday. Besides the delicious food, there was also a DJ playing. What a fantastic atmosphere! The evening was made complete by Nick, the guy who helped and advised us wonderfully all evening. We'll definitely be back!

Concept a little surprising at the start (some dishes have to be ordered in even numbers :) but all in all an excellent place with good value for money.

The view is amazing! But the music is way too loud for the setting where you sit down and want to talk while enjoying your drink. Maybe tone the volume a bit down.

We moved to the Innside after being so disappointed with our original hotel. The Innside hotel is head and shoulders above our original one which advertises being a 5 star hotel. I would like to comment on our bartender Hans. What a showman! After a few minutes of normal chit-chat he started mixing our drinks. He could fill a jigger from a long distance without spilling a drop! With a flip of a set of the longest tweezers I’ve ever seen, he garnished our drinks with the delicacy of a surgeon and the flair of an artist. Just when he placed down our drinks, he broke into a couple robotic dance moves for a highlight! Then he glided away to his next customer! This hotel doesn’t know what a gem they have! We would definitely stay at the Innside with its clean, comfortable rooms, great food, friendly staff, but especially Hans!

The food is very delicious with the current menu being on the sour palette style✨ The place is incredibly clean, well lit, music at the perfect time and servers that are very attentive, accommodating and caring. Can’t wait to come back another time!🍽️☺️

He had some great drink recommendations, even shared a list of other places we could enjoy during our stay in Amsterdam. Thank you!

Loved the experience, the staff is really polite and nice. I celebrated my birthday there and the food was amazing.

This place is unique because of its view, and the cocktails are very good. Being in a high-rise building gives it a distinctive and special touch in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, I ordered some tequila shots and they got them wrong, there was water in them. This made me lose trust. I might consider giving them another chance, but this completely affected the overall experience.

A relatively new place on the map, but somewhere I have made my regular after work spot to kick off the weekend! They have great bar snacks and if you feel like eating, their dinner menu has always surprised me and my tastebuds! My personal favourite spot is the lounge area it has facing the view of the city. Not a bad place for a date night ;)

I was overcharged for a 4-course meal when I only had 3 courses. I didn’t notice the mistake until I got home and checked the bill. I emailed the restaurant, but they insisted we had 4 courses, which is not correct. We clearly remember only having 3. The food and atmosphere were good but it’s disappointing that they didn’t take my concern seriously. Just a note for others: double check your bill before leaving.

I think the vibe is nice, with great panoramic view over the city. Yet, food choice is quite limited. Starters were nice but we both didn’t like our main course that much. Service is super tho!

The restaurant has a good atmosphere to seat and chat with a friend. We ate just nachos with guacamole and drunk some soda. We didn't order dishes even desserts. The food and the price are ok (around €19 for the food and €4 for an 200ml soda bottle) , based on the localization, wich is great, really close to the Amsterdam-Zuid station. The staff was nice with us.

A beautiful restaurant- bar with a beautiful view from the 16(?) floor. The food was good but too pricy in our opinion. We only had snacks but still it was expensive for the food portion. The atmosphere is nice, service was good and overall we had a nice visit.

Crispy outside and moist inside!!together with the salty foamy dressing , red pepper and some rice-like pasta?!! This is certainly the BEST sea bream I have ever had in my life🤤🤤🤤🐟 Although this grilled carrot dish is a side, it’s absolutely delicious and plays a starring supporting role. With the garlic source and crisp, it perfectly complementing the tasty main course.✨✨✨✨✨🥕 Last but not least, the apricot dessert was incredibly delicious！🍰❤️❤️❤️❤️ It is a delightful mix of hot and cold, crisp and soft, sweet and sour, creating a complex yet perfectly harmonious experience, leaving a strong impression and making this dinner truly perfect. I celebrated my 30th year old Birthday at this location and I had the most wonderful experience! Aside from the view and the aesthetics of the place, the staff was incredible and they accommodated my requests with such kindness. Moreover they were all professional, efficient and friendly. We only had some bites for food, which were delightful. The drinks, especially the wine glasses, might seem pricy on the menu but they are a good selection and the glass is quite generous so I appreciated that. The cocktails were also very nice! The event management team was also incredible with their prompt responses and efforts for the previous months in planning the celebration. I will definitely go back for dinner!

We had a really nice lunch in Hasta La Vista. Waiter was friendly and helpful. Food was good, just the portions are not too big. The downside from lunch is that cocktails are not available.

I used to really like this place, but today I left very disappointed. I first came here in October 2024 and loved it so much that I came back at the end of the month and again in mid-November. There were three things that really drew me back here: the Gamba Roja Carpaccio, the Beef Chateaubriand Lusitano with Iberian Bellota ham, truffle and mushrooms, and the Arroz Con Leche dessert with red fruit crumble. Today we came again but unfortunately the menu had changed. The quality has gone down a lot. I was very disappointed that these dishes are no longer on the menu. In photo 1 you can see the old menu, and in photo 2 the current one. The place is still cozy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They were careful to accommodate my allergy and even prepared a special dessert for me. However, with this new menu, it is simply not worth 220 euros for a couple with only 1 glass of wine and 2 ice teas. Although we had asked for the 79€ menu per person, but when the bill came we were charged for the 99€ menu per person. Maybe this was because of accommodating my allergy, but we were never informed that this would come at an extra cost.

We went to Hasta La Vista for a dinner in a Friday. The food was regular, nothing super special about it. The ambience combined with the view from Zuid it’s nice and enjoyable. The music was also enjoyable and the staff super nice.

The food was delicious — we had starters, mains, dessert, and a side of artichoke. The lamb was super tender, the oysters were fresh, and the fish with orange sauce was really special. Plus, the cocktails were amazing! Definitely worth a visit.

We had a wonderful lunch experience through Amex Experiences! The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent — every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. A great spot for a special dining out with a nice view. The menu was clear, for Amex guests I would suggest to add a starter to the fixed menu. We added bread and croquettes and that was enough. They gave us cava on the house 😍

Beautiful place and good service. The music was good as well but no one was moving or dancing.. it was a Saturday evening which made the atmosphere quite flat. Not at the fault of the DJ or the restaurant tho

We dined with the Amex “dining for two” offer. Be careful—some dishes cost extra, but they don’t tell you. We were charged €40 more for a dish that was apparently not included in the offer. There was no menu, just a vague explanation from the waiter. Service was inconsistent. One waiter didn’t explain the meal when it was served, so we weren’t entirely sure what we were eating, and another brought the wrong drink.

Everything was impeccable. Excellent food and service.

One of the places where you have to go full stomach, as it’s not for food, but for the experience of it. Most of the meat menu was with thyme, good that I’ve asked. Wine choice by glass is mediocre, good wine you can only get by bottle. Deserts was good, but as small as you can imagine. Men toilet is unbelievably dirty, no hand cream, no towels, soap is cheap and bad smell… manager was loudly circling around all the time with the crew making more noises then should. Paid almost €200, left the place hungry, hit a macdonalds on the way back home 😅 View is nice, bar choice is good and place design is ok. But it’s not restaurant. Will visit the place again, when chief will change hopefully.

We stumbled upon Hasta La Vista, Baby! by chance after an underwhelming dinner nearby, and what a delightful discovery it turned out to be! Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed and guided to our table, instantly captivated by the stylish interior. The design masterfully blends modern elegance with cozy, homey touches, creating a luxurious yet inviting atmosphere. The cocktail menu is both visually appealing and thoughtfully curated, offering a selection that’s both surprising and satisfying. Each drink we tried was a testament to the bar’s commitment to quality and creativity. What truly sets this place apart is the breathtaking view. Perched on the 19th floor, the panoramic vistas of Amsterdam are unparalleled, making it, in my opinion, superior to any other rooftop bar in the city. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, enhancing our overall experience. We were so impressed that we immediately made a reservation for dinner. Unfortunately, due to my friend’s sudden illness, we had to reschedule. Nevertheless, we’re eagerly looking forward to returning and indulging in what promises to be an exceptional dining experience.

Not the best experience. Atmosphere was lacking, service was nice but little knowledge of the trade. We took the 4-course menu, of which the starter with tuna and green peppers did not taste like anything. Scallops were fine but nothing special. Entree was as it should be. The lamb in the main course was well prepared, but the artichoke had way too much garlic... the dessert was very mediocre, the flavor combinations were wrong. All in all definitely not worth your money. There are much better places in Amsterdam where you can sit comfortably and eat better!

Tasty and good food in a casual atmosphere on 19th floor. You will be well taken care of from the moment you arrive until you leave. The accompanying wines are also tasty.

During reservation I mentioned that one of two guests didn't eat meat. When we arrived, it turned out that both people should eat the same. We had nice starters and wine. Though portions are very small and I was surprised that they serve exactly two padron peppers hanging on a quirky crossbar for two people. Padron is not caviar so I would expect a bit more generous portion, tbh. For 80 EUR per person for the experience, our main course (normally that would be lamb or wagu, no fish option to choose from) they swapped for cauliflower. One for two people. That's not the worst part — the main course sides were off. Some of the sides were with meat (jamon) and since they serve everything for two people it was strange. Artichoke was too dry and hard to chew. Potato gratin was too salty. We told this to the waiter when he asked us whether we liked everything and after that he stopped bringing our food and would send other staff instead. Which was a bit odd. We paid 250 for two people plus tips. The view is indeed nice and if you want to dine on a rooftop with a view, it might be worth it. I wouldn't recommend the place, because quality vs price is off. Or just go there for drinks.
