Rembrandt Corner in Nieuwmarkt/Lastage

Caminando por la ciudad estábamos listos para el almuerzo y en busca de algún lugar con asientos al aire libre cerca de un canal. Pasamos en la esquina de Rembrandt y agarramos una mesa. Queríamos probar algo de comida tradicional holandesa y nos decidimos por el stampot vegetariano, esencialmente salteado de verduras en puré de patatas. También comimos un bocadillo de queso de cabra con miel, lechuga, pepino y tomate. Ambos eran sabrosos y exactamente como se anuncia. Sin duda un buen lugar para una comida al aire libre donde la gente y la observación de barcos del canal son la actividad principal.

Vimos este lugar y decidimos reservar para la cena más tarde ese día. El personal era amable y servicial. El sello era muy bueno, caliente y lleno. Mi hija tenía el kipschnitzel que era bueno, pero no el mejor que he probado. El postre estaba delicioso y perfectamente dividido. El ambiente dentro del restaurante tenía un zumbido tranquilo. La gente estaba charlando y había música sonando, pero el ruido general era tan bajo que fácilmente podíamos tener una charla entre nosotros sin tener que gritar. Fue una noche muy agradable.

Tranquilo alrededor de la hora del almuerzo, sentado dentro y fuera. Tomé el sándwich de salmón, muy bonito. Mi novio disfrutó de su plato tradicional holandés. A un precio razonable.

Op zaterdagavond konden we bijna nergens terecht, maar hier gelukkig wel! Vriendelijke bediening, erg goede spareribs en kipschnitzel+sausje erg smakelijk!

The best typical food in Amsterdam!!! The dishes were very tasty and the amount of food was very generous. The place is very well decorated inside and is very cozy with a view of the canal. We went on two occasions, when the girls served us great, on the boys' day the service was pretty bad. The plants cost around 15-20 euros, but for what they are used for and for Amsterdam, they are more than adequate.

Fish menus and apple pia are very successful.

I rarely get ecstatic about dinner. My first time in Amsterdam and I wanted to try a traditional Dutch dish, and Rembrandt Corner came up on Google maps, a traditional Dutch dish is "Stamppot" , basically, like Irish colcannon, mashed potatoes mixed with spinach, originally served with sausage and meatballs and gravy, but has been adapted so veggies can partake, the veggie one cones with mushroom sauce, which I don't like so I had gravy. It's the most delicious meal I've had in a long time. I had a Glass of wine with it, if you are buying by the glass there is only one variety of each colour, so, the red is Shiraz, which is actually not my favorite, but given the size of my dinner , a light wine was a good option. Definitely recommend a visit and definitely go with a traditional meal. The location is beautiful, the service was lovely. There is a very narrow steep stairs down to the toilets , just so you are aware.

We were only in Amsterdam for one day and wanted to try the local dish. We chose the right place at this casual pub like establishment. A nice view good service and the stamppot was one of the best meals on my two month European adventure. Good view of the canal and right next to rembrandts house.

Rembrandt Corner in Amsterdam is absolutely breathtaking! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the food is incredibly fresh and delicious. The prices are also very accessible, making it a great spot for anyone looking for quality dining without breaking the bank. A meal for 2, with mains, desserts and loads of refreshments costs us 70€. I highly recommend trying the Dutch apple pie—it’s an absolute treat! The staff are friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit when in Amsterdam!

Sadly disappointed by this place. While the staff were nice the food was not. The shrimp croquettes barely tasted of shrimp, very bland with hardly any shrimp in them. The fish & chips were very disappointing. The fish tasted cheap & muddy. Equally the burger was of poor quality. A lot of food was left because it was just not pleasant to eat.

Very good atmosphere, very delicious and traditional food, very friendly and attentive service, without a doubt an excellent place, totally recommended.

Très simple nous avons fait une réservation et nous avons attendu 40 minutes et la serveuse nous a juste transmis nos boissons et nous n’avons pas pu commandé nos plats. Service déplorable je ne le recommande pas la serveuse n’est pas agréable. Nous n’avons même pas mangé vu que personne est venu prendre notre commande au bout de 40 minutes c’est juste honteux merci à la serveuse non aimable

Brillante elección de comida y bebidas, menús pequeños tan fáciles de decidir. La comida era muy buena. El servicio era bueno, pero no apreciamos las camareras / camareras del bar viendo películas en la pantalla grande en la zona del restaurante. Mató el ambiente del lugar. Además, extremadamente frío por lo que no es cómodo disfrutar de la comida. Además, no nos atrajo para quedarse para otra bebida.

Un acogedor bistró justo al lado del canal y la casa rembrandt. la estampita holandesa era muy acogedora y llena. precio era ligeramente más alto que la calidad de la comida probablemente debido a estar al lado de un lugar turístico

We stopped shortly to grab a coffee, mint tea, and a burger for my son. Great atmosphere, clean, friendly. Great to stop by and enjoy the city vibes.

Nice restaurant with a view of the canal, welcoming and attentive waiter, typical cuisine. We had two dishes based on meatballs and homemade mash. The quantities are adequate. The dessert is also typical and is very good (it's quite fatty!) A little bit of waiting between the main course and the dessert but it's really nothing compared to the quality of the service. The dishes arrive quickly and are well presented. It’s a great restaurant to have a good, calm and pleasant time.

Llegó y le dijeron que se sentara en una pequeña mesa junto a la puerta. Estaba muy calado, así que nos deslizamos a una mesa de 4 a nuestro lado y dividimos la mesa, haciendo de la nuestra una mesa para dos! El personal de camarera no parecía demasiado amable, y vimos a nuestra camarera suspirando y poniendo los ojos en blanco cuando los clientes estaban en su camino. La hamburguesa de mi marido estaba bien, mi sello vis era excelente. Los precios eran razonables. En general fue agradable, pero no se sentía especialmente acogedor,

The cheese plate is ridiculously small for the price you pay. There were to small pieces if bread and 4 small pieces of cheese for 17€. The steak was fine, the stamppot, which was heated up in the microwave, was okay but not great, not even close to being worth the prize. It was pretty cold, even inside because the door was standing open the whole time. Service was okay but not more then that.

It was a restaurant where you could taste Dutch home cooking. The amount of fish was small and the amount of potatoes was huge, but it was delicious. The beer was delicious and the restaurant atmosphere was nice. When I tried to pay, they asked if I could pay with a 10% tip. Although I stayed in Amsterdam for more than 10 days, this was the first time I was asked for a tip like this. Well, today was the last day in Amsterdam, so I paid the bill and left, but there was no tip requirement, so I thought it was very convenient, but I was a bit surprised. It was a restaurant, not a bar...

The food was alright. But man working told me that he was paid below the minimum wage and I had to tip them. He held the card machine to my face when asking for a tip. I will never come back. Response to comment : the man who demanded a tip was directing staff to take breaks so I am assuming he was management.

Local near the Rembrandt museum, with a terrace and a period place inside. Good food although the menu is a little limited and after 5:00 p.m. they don't serve sandwiches or sandwiches. The service is extensive and very friendly and correct at all times. It is our reference point since we traveled to Amsterdam since it is well located and very close to a clothing market, antiques and everything you can imagine. I recommend making a stop there and enjoying the food and atmosphere.

Ate here on a whim, service was good, didn’t care for the chicken snitzel and the wait staff didn’t offer to remove from check. I guess that’s not a thing here??

Great place. Food is not so special but it is good and they serve generous portions ( I took meatballs because the typical dish on the menu wasn't available that day). You have to pay a tip, you can choose 5%, 10%or more. I think they should set the table better. The place is amazing. I think it is worth a visit.

Food tasted pretty ok. I had a burger but had to assemble it myself. Sauces came in little plastic packages which is not fitting for a 17€ burger. Bathrooms are just sad and in a bad state (we were there before 7). Outside walls of the restaurant were sprayed with graffiti, lots of dirt everywhere and many of their chairs were broken too. Service was good, although we sometimes had to wait a while until we could order, but drinks and food came very fast.

What a simple yet delicious time I had. I ordered the Kabeljauw Stamppot and was blown away at how amazing it was. I also had the Apple Pie which was a delight too..Overall a really nice time.

The food is very good, we went back twice and had the same dishes because it was excellent. However, a problem occurred the second time we ordered takeaway: when we got home we saw that the top slice of bread was missing from both sandwiches. (I attach photo). Alongside the sandwiches they add a really delicious sauce and vegetables that can be added as desired. The portions are large and the staff is friendly.

Both dishes were very good. Only the burger wasn't that tasty, but it was worth it.

El sitio está muy bien ubicado, con terracitas agradables. La comida bastante rica. Nos pedimos salchica con puré de patata y la sopa holandesa. De postre la tarta de manzana muy rica. Lo único malo es que fueron bastante lentos en servir.

Only drinks, they were good...the service was quick and friendly. However, the tables and floor of the outdoor seating area were rather less clean. The view of the canal is also blocked from view by a rather obstructive fence...

Great restaurant with Dutch cuisine. We recommend Hollandse stamppot, mixed selection of fried snacks, Oma's soup, Dutch pea soup (the best pea soup we've ever eaten and mini pancakes for dessert. All dishes were very tasty and original. Great place to visit after Rembrandt's house which is next door.

We stopped by to eat some typical Dutch sandwiches and drinks and indeed they served us very well, with friendly and efficient service. The place is pleasant and decorated in ancient times.

The food was delicious. However, the service was subpar. The woman was unable to answer questions about allergens. Then she said something that wasn't true (she said the breaded chicken wings were gluten-free). Unfortunately not recommended for people with allergies!

We were looking for a cheap place to eat something delicious next to the canal and we found this super cheap little place. I ordered a pata carbonara and a juice for €20 and my boyfriend had a hamburger. We both had excellent food and thoroughly enjoyed our last meal in Amsterdam. The girl who helped us was super friendly!

Busy. Indoor / outdoor restaurant which also has some nice beers on tap. Outdoor pavilion is on the water. For boat watching. Also if you happen to use the restroom, you might notice that they have the same extremely steep, winding staircase that you can find at the Rembrandt Museum next door. I don't usually give 5 stars, but we came back later in the day to eat, and found the Pork Schnitzel and Holland Stamppot both to be really tasty and filling. Other people were really happy with their meals too, it seemed.
