We had a fantastic meal with our grandchildren. We even asked for extra toast, and it didn't cost anything extra. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

I sat down here for a bit because my husband and son went on the speedboat. The staff is friendly and the herring is, thankfully, delicious... The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because they charge guests 1 euro to use the restrooms. That's really NOT DONE... I can understand it for passersby.

It could be better. Unlike our first visit and order, we weren't given rolls with the croquette platters. My child, who went to get the rolls, had to pay an extra €4 for four small ones. I would have said something about it, but oh well. This just isn't acceptable, it's truly bizarre.

Instead of the well-known Simonis, try this restaurant. The atmosphere is ten times better. You have a quiet place and can park in front for a fee. Nice view, too! The mixed fish platter was also a mixed bag. Shrimp, mussels, and plaice were very tasty. Not too salty. I didn't like the squid; it tasted like rubber. Too bad. The service behind the counter: not friendly! We ate upstairs, the tables were clean. No number calls. The buzzer goes off when your order is ready. I'd say, next time again.

Just okay, nothing special. Just fish and chips. Used to be a lot better back in the day now they are just generic.

On a Saturday, we went to the Scheveningen harbor and had lunch at the Havenpaleis. In a word: fantastic. I had a spicy mackerel sandwich, very filling. We decided to eat there again in the evening. My friends had mussels, and I had a salad with tuna steak. These were also very tasty. The staff were very friendly, and the food is truly fantastic. We would love to come back!

A beautiful place. A truly wonderful fish restaurant with a harbor view. Ordering from the buffet is quick and friendly. Ample seating is available both downstairs and upstairs. Upstairs, you have a fantastic view of the harbor. The quality is fantastic, everything is super fresh, and it's also very affordable. In short, we'll definitely be back.

A beautiful spot on the inner harbor in Scheveningen. A wide selection of fresh fish dishes, as well as burgers and other items. The "lekkerbekje" menu, with two fish options, is excellent. And not expensive at €14.50. A place to go for a delicious meal with very friendly service.

The price-quality ratio was okay. But an extra euro for a small jar of mayonnaise. Sorry, that doesn't make any sense. If you do, just make the whole menu an extra euro.

Huge portions at a good price! The ratio quality/price/quantity is excellent for this restaurant. Food quality is good, maybe not the excellent one but absolutely ok. And portions are really generous. Restaurant is quite easygoing and informal, no service at the table, you need to order at the desk. But it is absolutely ok for this concept of restaurant. Location is nice, directly facing the harbour. Service is really quick. Recommended for those who want to eat a lot of good food in an informal environment.

Just a good place. No lazy staff. The lady even brought the kibbeling and was very friendly. Nothing was too much (except the portion of kibbeling for my children) but that was even given with an extra sauce. Top service and also good generous portions that also tasted good!

Bad fish, especially the kibbeling is of poor quality. Really that waste bickering. For such a big place, there isn't even a choice of real cod kibbeling. They are too lazy to work. They are also not very friendly. We left without ordering and luckily we were able to eat at the herring house. And that was wonderful. Good service, tasty cod kibbeling and good shrimps.

Neat, neat place with good and affordable food. Service is fine. Nothing to complain about. Maybe the fact that it looks a bit cafeteria-like, but appearances are deceiving; just have a great time here.

Such a shame! Years ago I had the tastiest calamaris ever here, real fresh calamaris fried in a little flour until perfectly crispy. Have never eaten like this anywhere else. Since then, I have eaten here every visit to Scheveningen, because fried calamari was simply not the same anywhere. Unfortunately, the last visit was not so good. Thick large rings of squid (=not calamaris) that cannot hold a crispy crust. Portions were smaller and prices went up considerably; which I can understand considering inflation. But I missed the previous quality (also in the rest of the plate). Unfortunately, very disappointed, there are (with this standard) much better fish shops in the area.

Always good food and very friendly staff

We ate in this restaurant for the first time today. The food wasn't tasty at all. Salad wasn't fresh. We ordered various fish dishes and the dishes were brought with a lot of oil. Fries were bad, sometimes fish-like. Disaster. I then spoke to an employee and the manager. Unfortunately they showed no insight. Very overpriced and not recommended! We will definitely not go there again.

When we are in Scheveningen, we like to come and have a 'fish'. Food is good. Restaurant atmosphere could be more pleasant.

07/29 - Never judge a book by its cover. The place may seem simple, but the food is fantastic. Everything very fresh and well prepared. Don't forget to try Kibbeling, hering and the wonderful smoked eel. Affordable price and very attentive service. A place to visit and return. I returned on 28/07 and I claim it is the best place in Den Hague to eat traditional traditional seafood. Despite being a simple environment, there is no smell of frying or fish. If you are in the city, be sure to come here and enjoy the food. Thank you for this experience.

We order here regularly and sometimes eat on site. Quality is always top and the people who work there are also exceptionally friendly! The boss there must have a good personnel policy, because you hardly experience this anymore these days.

In the past I had a discussion with a young man about the amount of fries you get with the menu, but after a long time I gave it another chance. I can honestly say that this is the tastiest kibbeling / gourmet in Scheveningen. The portions are prepared with love and are also very large. Look, the amount of sauce you get is really great! Friendly staff and you get great service on a busy Saturday night!

Soo yes, that woman yesterday was very cheerful and friendly at the cash register, but I didn't really like the gentleman who was bald and with glasses, always grumpy and stressed in the kitchen, which also irritates the customers🤦‍♀️🙄

Ordered food via home delivery, it was delivered fairly quickly, hot and tasty. Unfortunately, the restaurant forgot to inform the delivery person that I still had to pay, but he resolved the matter nicely and was back quickly with the change. Great!

Normally satisfied, so we ordered a mixed platter for New Year's Eve. Didn't receive a mixed dish but a fish dish. Then it's more salmon salad than anything else, not 50 euros worth of fish. And that for 110 euros. Really a shame. Next time we will buy it again from our well-known fishmonger...

I worked here for 1.5 days. I did not find the energy of the branch manager positive I closed completely. I didn't like it Too bad to stop. I got down with the feedback she said. Which makes you think you can't do it all. Bad experience. But there were uncle good reviews about her. The food is good. I received my money for the time I was there.

Tradition fish and chips was really good - large portions, place was clean and hosts were very friendly. It was a bonus for us that they had an English version of the menu!

4 soorten vis voor ons 2. Brandschoon. Olie voot de ska zou ik apart doen,nu wordt de vis onnodig vettig. Prijs top. Service ook.

Al voor de zoveelste x hier gegeten, super lekker eten. Als je niet zo van vis houd, dan kan je ook tussen verschillende soorten vlees kiezen. De prijs kwaliteit verhouding is helemaal top.

Sehr leckeres Essen und super Service. Wir haben sowohl die namenhafen Konkurrenten in unmittelbarer Nähe des Hafens als auch das Hafenpalais ausprobiert. Auch wenn das Palais ein weniger schönes Ambiente hat, ist das Essen deutlich besser und der Service freundlicher. Der Fisch wird zum Beispiel frisch paniert. Vielen Dank!!!

Quite a nice place with special atmosphere. I really liked fresh flowers on the tables and huge windows at the top floor which can be opened if necessary. The food was amazing! Fresh, tender and hot! Very big portions. The only not perfect thing was fries... But in general it is one of the best places to have good see food!

Kibbeling menu gegeten met mijn gezin met 8 personen.Het valt op dat men is gaan bezuinigen op de kibbeling. Vroeger kreeg je een volle bord nu gaan ze precies tellen.

Aan de vis kunnen ze niets verbereren. Gebakken mossel, luchtig en zacht. De gebakken tong is perfect. De patat blijft daarbij wel wat achter. Een ander merk, ander temperatuur bakken? Blijft een verademing om hier te eten, tot gauw weer.
