Quality is good and consistent, but a small shawarma sandwich of 6 by 6 cm. For 9.95 is really not okay. A large sandwich, much larger for 11.95. Is not in proportion. Smaller sandwich should be bigger or price lower, a medium size would also be nice, otherwise tasty food.

Food was tasty, but service terrible. Came in and said a friendly hello and asked for the card. The lady behind the counter then nodded to the stack of cards on the table and said nothing else. When we had decided what we wanted, we received a few cynical comments, mainly about the fact that it did not say what meat the shawarma was and we asked about it. "Yes, so I don't have beef anyway." Okay, do we know much? Then we are completely stared at by kitchen and front of house staff, and also laughed at. The food was fine in the end, but this is really the last time I come here.

The best shawarma and chicken wings in Amsterdam. My regular place and the food is always of the same good quality. The only downside is that it is expensive.

Tested after not having been here for almost 3 years. The place was not busy, a table of 4 was already eating. There were 4 staff members walking around, two of whom were serving. After almost 20 minutes I got up and walked to the cash register to place my order. A large loaf of shawarma. Look, I understand it all: gas, electricity, etc. are more expensive blablabla. But if you supposedly fill a large shawarma sandwich with 20 grams of flaky meat. More air and bread than meat for more than 10 euros...then it is very bad. Just as bad as when I used to pick up shawarma sandwiches in a uniform for the corona and a young lady asked a euro for an extra bowl of garlic sauce. It was scandalous and worse than ever. .

Hayran ha estado aquí desde principios de los noventa. Primeros propietarios de un par de hermanos turcos como yo vivía a la vuelta de la esquina en van Ostade Straat observando en la Iglesia de Orange. En ese tiempo se podía comer mucho shoarma por no más de 5 € Hoy en día ya son 11 €

I went here to get some Turkish t food as was so happy they gave me exactly what I wanted. Lovely place run by lovely people. The food was so good 10/10 flavour💗

One of the best shawarma places in Amsterdam for years!!

In 2003 I came here for the very first time. Since that day the taste of the shoarma was authentic and exactly the same as one hour ago. Without any competition by far the best shoarma in Amsterdam. Teşekkürler baba for having this beautiful place for all these years!

I ordered mix grill and got 5 types of meat, köfte was delicious. Owner was very customer friendly. I will definitely eat here again.

Miniature pita with meat, without lettuce, tomato, etc., for 7.95? Real? Meat is bone dry and pita is from the supermarket (the small one). Very small portion and not seasoned at all. Almost illegal to allow this.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very warm, we were very pleased, this is the place we will come to again if we come again.

I ordered a portion of kofte and literally received a mini piece of kofte for €5.50... really scandalous and disgusting of you!!! I have a photo of it, I can't seem to post it, but if you saw it you would be blown away! RESPONSE to Hayran: Your story is completely wrong.. you indicate 4.50 which is also a ridiculous amount and I paid 5.50. Nothing was ever said about a dish of sheer nonsense. Your reaction as a restaurant really says more than enough!

Stopped in after midnight for some late night eats and glad I did! The kefte and shoarma pitas were absolutely delicious, so much so that we went back again the next night. They pack the pita totally full, I did the spicy and garlic sauces as recommended and they go great together. Plan to bring some cash as backup if you don't have a European credit card (and maybe do a bit of pointing at what you want if you struggle with common languages) but everyone was very friendly about it. Thanks for the great food!

staff are friendly and the food was delicious. I personally had the shawarma dish with rice. I also received delicious Turkish bread and sauce in advance. I will definitely come here again!

The location of the restaurant is in a nice place. The owner is a very caring brother. The sharma was incredibly delicious. If I come to Amsterdam again, I will definitely visit it.

I just read a bad review regarding the unsanitary environment. I've been eating here for years and have certainly never experienced this. I come here precisely because the food is tasty and hygienic. Shawarma is definitely recommended!

You should come here for shawarma. Real lamb, and the pizzas are great.

What a pleasant surprise! The shoarma with real pieces of soft lamb meat... Amazing! Super good and warm bread and fresh veggies. (Not your typical greasy thin slices... this is the real thing)

I have been eating at Hayran Shawarma for years. I normally never post reviews, but I think it's worth it. I'll be very honest, I think they sell the best shawarma. Shawarma sandwich, shawarma dish, shawarma pizza, they are all not normally tasty. . Staff are friendly and owner is very nice. The price only increases over the years, but it is still worth the price. Trust me you won't regret it.

Delicious dishes, good service and reasonable prices. A shawarma sandwich is recommended, followed by a cup of Turkish tea.

Just wanted to give a shout-out to this great Turkish restaurant! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but after I had left the restaurant and was walking down the street, I heard someone call out to me. It was the waiter - I had dropped a 5 Euro bill under the table and they had run to catch up with me and make sure I got it back! A BIG thank you to Hayran for their wonderful food and their honesty! :) (Note: if you get the pide, as I did, just make sure you wait a minute for it to cool down - it comes out of the oven HOT! But so tasty. :) )

Foods were delicious, but the hygienic conditions of the bathroom was not good. They should keep the bathroom & toilet more hygienic and clean.

This shawarma is without a doubt the best! It's been a bit pricey lately. But the quality has not diminished. The staff is also very friendly. And the delivery time is 100% fair. They will tell you honestly if it is busy and it may take a little longer. And I really appreciate this. Don't underestimate the Italian pizzas from this place either.

Delicious food for a good price

It is very difficult to find a restaurant abroad that makes delicious Turkish food. This was one of those places. Lentil soup and rice pilaf were no different from those in Turkey. In addition, the portioned shawarma and shawarma pizza, grilled chicken, vegetable pizza and fries that came as a side dish were great. Be sure to pour some sauce over the shawarma and eat it. His salad was made of fresh vegetables. Above all, the operators are wonderful people. Clean, honest and kind people. I would like to thank Yahya brother again for all his interest. The place is small, but you can sit by the window and watch Amsterdam street. It looks quite cute...

Very bad service very expensive for small portion. I truely advise you not to try it at all. They shocked me with the way their service is. The lady at cashier is unfriendly at alllllll. Trust me

Great Turkish kitchen! Quality products. I really like the taste of the bread and I really appreciate the 3 sauces that come as a starter. Pizza, Turkish foods, pasta,.. Can't go wrong here. Nice people as well!

Wij bestellen altijd de turkse pizza en een schotel met kipvleugels, beide onzettend lekker. kipvleugels echt geweldig zeker aan te raden! Hard werkende mensen! Hadden een foutje bij bestelling heel snel het juiste voor alsnog gekregen en een exuses onzettend lief! Bedankt hayran wij komen zeker weer snel bij jullie bestellen! Zeer tevreden gasten.

I had higher hopes for this place mainly because I ate there a couple of times many years ago and back then the food, service and cost were good. I have been back twice this week and, both times, I was not as satisfied with everything like I was before. The food is OK but not worth the price you pay for it, the portions are medium for what you pay and the cold service vibe doesn't really help.

Classic Turkish kebap place. The durums are filled with quality meat. I would have liked a bit more vegetables inside but the sauces made up for it.

Het is de lekkerste Shoarma tent van Heel de buurt en stad de saus is Heel erg lekker en ook Het Vlees en salade is heel lekker ik heb nooit een betere gevonden in de stad

Ziet er kleinschalig uit van buiten maar is erg lekker, etli ekmek super en patatjes waren lkker dun, allbei perfecte smaken:D Küçük ama güzel yer, Herşey beklediğimden daha lezzetliydi pidesi, patatesi ve soslari da güzel:D
