The food was absolutely delicious, truly excellent! The service was also very good. I just found the music a bit loud, which made conversation difficult.

I visited Heart 2 times and I will definitely go back!! Food is great, you can really taste the passion, research and dedication in every dish. Cocktail selection is also very interesting and carefully presented, I tried few of them and really enjoyed them!! Last but not least, the service: The last time I was there, we were attended by Saul and I must say, he truly is the best. Saul elevated the whole experience to a different level, with great communication, kindness and professionalism.

Edit: on my second visit, everything fell flat! The food we enjoyed so much last time was devoid of its original taste. Quite sad! Visited on a busy Friday night and it was such a great experience. Bartender recommended us good drinks, the ambience was very nice, staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The food recommendations were great. We had a three course meal. Food presentation and taste was spot on, enjoyed eating every last bit of it! Just a tad bit disappointed with Dessert but all in all 100% recommended for a good chilling experience in Amsterdam with great food, drinks and service.

We had a wonderful time at Hearth! The service was quick, friendly, and felt very personal. We tried the tasting menu and didn't regret it. It's impressive and inspiring to see what comes out of a vegan kitchen. At 8:00 PM, the music was live, which was a bit more enjoyable, but thanks to the impressive sound system, we were able to chat comfortably and enjoy the atmosphere.

It was a wonderful experience, even my omnivorous boyfriend was satisfied with the food. I recommend it to everyone. A must try.

We went here for New Year's Eve dinner and it was a wonderful evening. The menu featured sophisticated dishes, truly excellent, and all vegan! I was very full, and the price was fair for a New Year's Eve dinner in Amsterdam. The only thing I would recommend improving for the future is the cannelloni filling (they were a little dry), but otherwise everything was truly delicious!

Great restaurant. As a non-vegan, I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the setting. A few drawbacks: hardly anyone speaks Dutch, and at the end, you're asked to leave a tip. That's an American situation that won't necessarily change.

Wow, easily the best meal we had in Amsterdam! Not even close. Brilliant food, absolutely incredible service. Can you get a better meal and experience in Amsterdam at this price? The server gave excellent recommendations, explained all components of the dishes to us when serving, accommodated a special request, and overall made us feel welcome and appreciated. She was awesome! Lots of vegan/veg restaurants phone it in with standard options (and some do that well of course too), but not this one. Feels super upscale, and you can taste passion, love and expertise in the dishes. Not pictured is the Thai green curry soup, holy hell so good. The broccoli gnocchi is the best gnocchi I've ever eaten (maybe the chips were overboard, but I love chips so who cares!). And the king trumpet mushroom dish was delightful. We loved everything.

We had a wonderful meal at Hearth. The dishes were surprising and delicious. We also got two appetizers to sample, and they were delicious. They also catered very well to our intolerances. The staff was very friendly. We had mocktails, and they were also delicious. In short, highly recommended!

Such great atmosphere, food, and wine! If it’s your first time going here I suggest you try the Cauliflower Rillete, which was a total flavor bomb! Delicious food in a very cozy setting. My only complaint was the receptionist upon arrival. She seemed very bored and didn't really make us feel welcome. The rest of the staff, however, were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

One of the best vegan restaurants I have ever been, with multiple gluten free options. The ambience is cozy, but elegant, the staff warm, kind and caring, and the food is extremely tasty and beautifully presented. We went there two days in a row because the experience was just so lovely. Well done to the whole team and thank you for having us!

Amazing tastes, nice people, good place to be

One thing was clear after exiting Hearth: I regret not coming here earlier. I've tried some fine vegan food, but the food here was among the finest. Upon entering, you're professionaly welcomed to the atmospherical restaurant, where a DJ is playing some live ambient music in the back. Attention is paid to the smallest details, from the art on the wall to the colours and materials used for the interior and lighting. It's as if they want to tell you: this is a safe space, sit down, relax and we'll take care of everything. The waiter introduces himself at the table and explains how to have the best experience. It's clear there's no rush, which is a good thing, because everything on the menu sounds mouthwatering. This is not going to be an easy choice. With four other people in my company we had the opportunity to share all the starters and all the mains. All the dishes individually are simply mind-blowing, but it was the sushi (both the 'mexican' and the beetroot variety) that did it for me. I ordered an extra portion of it instead of dessert after my main: a charcoaled ravioli with shiitake mushroom and furikake. Complex flavours and textures are explored in Hearth's dishes and everything is completely balanced out. It's one of those restaurants that make salt completely unnecessary. Other mains that stood out were the amaranth cutlet with green curry sauce, lentil ragout and the king oyster mushroom scallops. Satisfied we stepped outside into a cold winter night. The temperature was below freezing point but inside us a humble fire was burning, ignited by the warm ambience of the restaurant and the fine dinner we just experienced. This is a restaurant that is going to stay with me for a while and also one I would definitely return to. Recommended heart(h)ily

Of all the vegan restaurants I've visited, this menu disappointed me. I've only seen positive reviews, but I found the desserts, in particular, rather bland. I think the flavor profiles could be improved. Adding sweet, salty, or umami flavors would be a big help. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderfully cozy. Hopefully, this feedback will help improve things even further. Good luck!

Where to start… the persons behind us waiting to be seated got a table before us. The waiter forgot a beverage we ve ordered. I ordered the black ravioli and i was not a fan. waaaay too salty. I got atherosclerosis the second i took my first bite. spaghetti also were mid imo. Hard as a rock. One of the cool things worth mentioning was the sound system.

The restaurant is quiet and tastefully decorated, it feels cozy and comfortable. Service was great, the waiting staff is considerate and professional. The food we had was divine. It was overall a great experience which we will remember as a highlight of our Amsterdam city break.

All the staff are very nice and professional and the setting is calm and clean UPDATE: the second time we came at the restaurant, we were not served the tasting menu as it was after 21 - mind that it was 21:03. I am a big fan of hearth. been here couple of times. but did i miss something this time around. the starters as usual banging. but i felt something missing in mains. i got the amarinth one, felt like fried piece of bread on a tomato sauce. last time it was the black ravioli and it was great. overall on the table who also asked for gnocci said the flavors could have used more salt pepper. as a true appreciator of this place and concept.. i believe.. based on last night.. the flavors could have been tad bolder. overall...another great evening at Hearth. just that we always want more and better .

Great experience and excellent vegan food! I‘ll definitely come back next time I visit from Germany. The whole staff was very nice and even brought some nice things to try inbetween courses.

I visited tonight by myself for my birthday, as I wanted to do something introspective for just me after a busy weekend, but honestly I worried a bit that it might be awkward. Sometimes when dining out alone, staff makes you feel like a liability, put you in the worst possible seat or rush you through the menu to free the table quickly. Not Hearth though. From the moment I walked in I was made to feel so welcome. The decor is minimalistic but warm and cosy at the same time, a rare combination. Not too big, not too loud, very pleasant indeed. All staff were lovely. I got a nice table by the window and when I asked the waitress for advice on the menu, she was kind enough to ask the chef if I could order the tasting menu for one. Usually and understandably you have to be at least 2 people. But the chef was so generous to make an exception and truly I felt blessed. The menu is too impressive to stick to just a few dishes and a downside of being one person is you can't share, so, you're immediately limited in choices. The tasting menu was perfect, a very nice introduction to the food on offer and well put together, with plenty variety. I enjoyed every single dish. The girl who served me took great care in making sure all was well, explaining each course in detail, and generally had such lovely, bubbly vibe, she made my night. All of the dishes looked stunning and had flavour to match. I particularily loved the Mexican sushi, amaranth cuttlet and tempura Jalapeños but franly I none of the food I tried failed to impress. I will be back to sample all other dishes from the menu for sure! You can tell everyone in this restaurant puts great care in their job, from the welcoming to the service at the table, the pacing of the meal, the attention to detail, the little works of art that is the plating, the flavours of the menu,... All puzzle pieces falling together to create a wonderful experience. Overall I felt well stuffed at the end of my 2 hour dinner experience. But very happy and grateful too. I came to Amsterdam with this dinner in mind, it was the main reason of my stopover today and it was 100% worth it. Thanks again to the whole team but in particular the girl that served me (I don't know your name, sorry) and the chef who agreed to the 1 person tasting menu and unknowingly made me the most perfect birthday present 💜

We were a party of 7 having chosen the tasting menu. We all agreed that the food was excellent, very tasteful, nicely presented in a cosy setting with down to earth and genuinely friendly service. It was my third time and I will return again.

Hearth is an incredible find! I picked this vegan restaurant on a whim and I am so glad I did. The food is high class while still being affordable, and every dish was packed with flavor. It is honestly one of the best meals I have had in a long time! The ambiance is delightfully warm, and the servers and staff match it with kindness and genuine attentiveness. Amazing food, and amazing service!

great experience yesterday at Hearth. the food was great with the tasting menu letting us try a lot of the dishes on the menu. the wine choice is also quite broad and with some good variety. on the atmosphere, it reminded me slightly of ‘brilliant corners’ in london - the dj on the background, mellow tunes and the dim lighting. all in all a good experience. the small deduction come from a couple of plates that we hadn’t finished and were taken by the server; the food was good and we wanted to finish completely. will definitely comeback!

It's strange that so many people in the hospitality industry don't speak a word of Dutch. It's very busy, a bit too busy for conversation, especially for the kitchen. The food was delicious and presented beautifully.

We had the tasting menu and didn't really know what to expect so we were open minded. The service was super and we had a warm welcome but the whole place just felt a bit empty and bland. The food was much the same. We had 6 mini starters and 2 mains then 2 mini deserts for €55 each. I felt much of the food incorporated a puree which didn't give it texture and it all just felt a bit meh. We had the black charcoal ravioli which had a strange texture and lacked in taste if it wasn't for the side of crumbly bits you needed to sprinkle on top. The portions were a bit on the small side. I was trying to convince my husband that vegan food was delicious but we just didn't get that vibe. Sorry to be negative but we have eaten out ALOT but it just wasn't our bag. Each to their own...

This was an amazing expérience for my birthday !

I would give ten stars out of five if I could. I showed up as a solo diner with no reservation and had a wonderful evening. I spoke a little with the man who showed me to my table, the red haired Polish waitress and the owner and all were incredibly warm and welcoming, efficient and friendly and well-informed. the food was INCREDIBLE. I’m not even a vegan and I was blown away by the flavours. they also brought a few little titbits while I waited. I had a glass of orange French vin nature and was seriously tempted by the cocktails - I may even return on my short trip. in short EVERYONE who can go here, should at some point. even come to Amsterdam just to come here - the food, the decor and the staff are all at Michelin star level. my meal was under€40 and I left extremely happy.

This restaurant doesn't know what it wants to be. In a hunt to be special they forgot to make the food taste good. It might be a club, it may be a bar, it could be a restaurant, who knows!? They definitely don't. The service was good, smiles on faces and our waiter did her best. The black ravioli was thick and bouncy like rubber, and the mushroom filling was mushy and tasted like nothing. The sushi starter was just rice with soft tasteless mousse on top. Everything needed salt and there was no salt provided. Everything was overpriced and everything under delivered. The spirulina spaghetti starter was bright blue and tasteless but was the same blue on the way out! Why do you do it? Just make vegetables taste amazing! Just do the simple things well. I left feeling like the massive bill was entirely wasted on tasteless food, a loud atmosphere where conversation was impossible and booze. A disappointing night out.

Outstanding. Simply outstanding. Service, food, atmosphere and staff were all faultless. For me, what really stood out was that the quality of the food was absolutely consistent with each course, eased with a fantastic wine. Vegan fine dining at its best. No regrets for seeking out this restaurant whilst visiting Amsterdam… I highly recommend you do the same.

A very good vegetarian restaurant with delicious and flavorful dishes, but the bill was hard to swallow... We were recommended a tasting menu to share for €55. Since we weren't very hungry and like to try lots of small dishes, we followed the advice of the very friendly waitress who told us it was enough for two. However, when the bill arrived, we were charged for two menus and also for a carafe of water, which the waitress had clearly stated was complimentary (as in France). In short, a hefty bill with an unexpected €60 surcharge due to poor advice... we would have preferred to choose something within our budget...

Everything was fantastic—the service was excellent (shoutout to Saul who gave us the best recommendations!) and the food was phenomenal. So many reviews say this was the best meal they’ve ever had and I completely understand why! We ordered the coral fried jalapeño starter, the amaranth cutlets, and black charcoal ravioli. Not cheap but would definitely say it’s worth the splurge!

I started my dinner by making a reservation on the website. I chose "restaurant table" rather than "bar stool", because I wanted to rest my feet. I arrived early, and was brought to a bar stool. I asked why I couldn't get my table, and I was told that single eaters don't get a table, basically. I had the beetroot sushi (very good), the ravioli (a bit bland), and, after waiting for 20 minutes, ordered the chocolate / coconut dessert (unsatisfying). Overall, I paid the same amount as if I had gone for the gourmet option (only available for 2+ people), but only one dish made me happy. The interior decoration is nice, I liked the painted skateboard scenes, but the music is too loud. Overall, an overpriced unenjoyable experience.

Consistently one of the best dining experiences in Amsterdam. The new tasting menu is highly recommended for diners new to this restaurant. The amuse-bouche itself was highly memorable. Every starter we tried was perfectly executed and spot-on for taste. The two types of sushi rolls evoked such strong and wonderful flavor profiles. The coral jalapenoes made for an elegant version of a jalapeno popper. The green curry coconut cauliflower soup stood out as an excellent comfort food. The mains we tried were very good as well. The black ravioli was so hearty and really hit the eastern asian taste profile on the mark. Some of us thought the amaranth cutlet was a little too dense for the dish, making it more like a cracker than a cutlet. However the flavors of that dish were also excellent and this is a highly nitpicky point which did not detract from the experience. I also have to point out the cocktail menu has a diverse selection of inventive and delicious options. Hearth ranks in my book as one of the best restaurants in Amsterdam.

Was a borderline three for me from food quality perspective. İt missed the depth i was expecting as most of the dishes were fairly one note or lacking in flavor. However the presentation and attention to some details was notable.

At Hearth we were in haven! Most delicious vegan food we ever ate! Every plate looks like a creative painting and tastes so unexpected incredibly aromatic that we do not want to leave this place.
