Clever, inventive food, beautifully served. Plant-based fine dining. We had the 'Discover' tasting menu, and between us got to try most of the items on the a la carte menu. The food is very good as is the service. Totally recommend!!

Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time for our food – there were sometimes 30 to 45 minutes between courses. The drinks also arrived very slowly. The food itself was generally tasty and decent, but nothing special. We had expected more, especially from a somewhat upscale vegan restaurant. In addition, the portions were, in our opinion, far too small. We had to share a lot, and in the end, we actually left hungry. At a price of €140, the overall experience didn't feel right. The slow service, the long wait times, and the small portions significantly dampened our evening. We're used to more attentive service and a more polished overall experience from restaurants in this price range.

Creative Vegan Fine Dining That Leaves You Wanting More Hearth delivers a unique fine-dining vegan experience with beautifully plated, creative dishes that showcase just how elevated plant-based cuisine can be. We ordered the King Oyster Mushroom “Fish” and the celeriac entrée. Both dishes were packed with flavor and thoughtfully prepared. The mushroom had an impressive texture and the celeriac was rich, comforting, and unlike anything we’ve had before. Our only criticism was the portion size. While every bite was delicious, we both left feeling hungry and wishing there had been more food, especially considering the price. If you’re looking for inventive, upscale vegan dining in Amsterdam, Hearth is absolutely worth a visit. Just be prepared for smaller portions than you might expect.

We found this amazing restaurant, attracted by the style while walking in the neighbor. We stopped to have diner, but this was more than that, this was an outstanding culinary experience ! We had the Discover menu, and believe me this is more than worth a try. Service was “au top”. Kudos to the team. We do recommend and we’ll come back.

Lovely staff who make you feel very welcome. The food is expensive although we all left a little bit hungry and disappointed. We had a lot of dishes and would say the best meal was the mushroom dhal and the least favourite was the dosa. We appreciate the huge effort that goes into the dishes and their presentation but we found much better vegan food in Amsterdam.

Restaurant started serving vegan croissants. Great to see more & more vegan breakfast opportunities popping up in AMS. Definitely go by and try out their croissant. Recommend: pair it with a white tea.

I visited Hearth with my husband and son on our first night in Amsterdam. Maya was the friendliest and most helpful server. The food was incredible. We were most surprised at the beet starter 😋 they sang happy birthday to my husband and the dessert was gooey and delicious. We don't have a lot of upscale vegan options in New Orleans so this was a lovely experience and we will be back!

Service, food and athmosphere were all 10/10. The only little confusion was that it was unclear to us when the meal was over. Other then that: perfect!

I spontaneously booked a table for myself as a solo guest. The service was incredibly friendly, the food was delicious and beautifully presented. For my starter, I had the sushi, and for my main course, the mushroom scallops with lentil dal. Unfortunately, I was already too full for dessert.

A wonderful surprise. We were welcomed by Marco and Valentino, truly friendly and welcoming hosts. We took advice from the former, who manages the dining room, and he guided us on a truly special journey. The dishes were beautiful to look at, but above all, delicious, with surprising pairings. Ingredients from around the world were carefully sourced, but above all, Chef Valentino was incredibly skilled. The price was also absolutely below average for the experience. Well done!!!

Overall, very good. The atmosphere and service are relaxed and pleasant, and the food is very special: original, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The price is steep (I paid well over €65 pp all-in), but it is worth it, given the overall quality. What I find unfortunate is that the menu—short but detailed—is entirely in English, which requires a lot of searching on a smartphone. And I find it a pity that the portions are not very substantial (even after 3 courses, I was still really hungry).

The concept of fully vegan dining really appeals to me as an omnivore. It is surprising to experience how much flavor and creativity can be found in a plant-based menu. The service was excellent. The staff knew exactly how to explain what was on the plates and knew the wine list inside out, which meant we received good recommendations. For starters, we both chose the Mexican sushi. That was a successful start to the evening: surprising, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. In between courses, the chef served us a tempura jalapeño. We really appreciated that. For the main course, we had the King Oyster Mushroom “Scallops” with red lentil dal, confit potato, tomato caviar, and puffed lotus seeds, and the Broccoli Gnocchi with sun-dried tomato sauce, cashew-garlic cheese, and potato chips. Personally, I found the “scallops” a bit too spicy, causing the other flavors to fade somewhat into the background. My dining companion, on the other hand, was very enthusiastic about the broccoli gnocchi. The only downside of the evening was the dessert. Due to my nut allergy, there was unfortunately no dessert on the menu that I could eat. All in all, we had a very pleasant evening. A nice concept, friendly and knowledgeable service, and dishes that show just how versatile vegan cuisine can be. Definitely a restaurant I would happily return to.

We could have just gotten fries 😭 One of the most overrated restaurants I've ever been to. The sushi tasted like a burrito, the "chips" were worse than Pringles, and the so-called guacamole was basically mashed peas. Almost every dish lacked flavour, yet the prices are outrageous for what you get. The atmosphere didn't help either—odd rugs hanging on the walls, uninspiring décor, and music so sleepy it killed any energy in the room. Just horrible experience.

The restaurant is lovely, with attentive service, a pleasant atmosphere, and good food for a vegan restaurant. The chefs have done a great job experimenting with flavors, although there are naturally some limitations to what can be achieved with purely vegan ingredients. Our favorite dish was the courgette gnocchi, while the vegan sushi was the least memorable. It mostly tasted of rice and hummus, without much complexity. We also didn't particularly enjoy the chocolate tart. It tasted a bit *too* healthy (not sweet enough and lacking the rich, creamy texture you would normally expect from a dessert). Personally, I would have preferred a more indulgent version, even if that meant sacrificing some of the health benefits. The mushroom "scallops" were quite good, but the cream served with them reminded me too much of a spicy chickpea soup. Considering the price, I was hoping for a more distinctive twist in flavor. The staff were excellent and made a positive contribution to our experience. They were attentive throughout the evening and even served small complimentary treats between the main courses, which was a nice touch. Overall, as a non-vegan, I probably wouldn't return. However, I think it's an excellent restaurant for vegans and a lovely place to enjoy a relaxed evening or a pleasant date. .

Getting to have dinner here was one of the unexpected highlights of my trip through Amsterdam. The food is like art. The head chef and staff exude love and care in creating a dining experience not just a meal. Vegan food in Europe is 100% better than in the USA. If I lived in Amsterdam, I'd go all the time. I highly recommend visiting Hearth!

The food was below average, quite a dissapointing experience

What a lovely afternoon I had here. The atmosphere on Camperstraat is incredibly relaxed, and it is the perfect place to sit outside for a while. Everything that was served looked fantastic and tasted really great too. I especially liked that the beer was served in a glass with such cheerful illustrations and the text "live a little". It is exactly that attention to detail that made this visit so successful. I will definitely be back here soon.

The service is super friendly and highly professional when remaining true human connection. If you have never been, you have to go. Always minimally 4 stars if you take the risk of running a vegan restaurant. We took the small surprise menu. Starters were a 10, delicious dish in between. The main though, gnocchi was really averagely spiced, and not to go out for diner for, though the second half of the main was delicious and with that, in stark contract. Desert was delicious (a 9). But for the price, the portions are really small and I left not satisfied quantity wise and not considering myself a big eater at all.... No all staff seemed as enthused to explain (again) what was on the plates, though that really adds to the pleasure of eating.

If you're looking for vegan and gluten-free food prepared to the standards of a Michelin-starred restaurant, with the same attention to ingredients and presentation, this is the place to go! The food is of an exceptionally high standard, and the service is attentive, friendly, and professional. For the past 10 years, this restaurant has been advancing the art of vegan cuisine, and after speaking with the chef, you quickly realize that it is not just a passion, but an unstoppable mission. The curry was fantastic, the vegan sliced "meat" was astonishing, and the scalloped mushrooms were absolutely outstanding. The chocolate, beetroot, and raspberry dessert was delicious! I can't remember all the dish names, but the menu is extensive and full of wonderful options. Thank you so much for this amazing experience. We will definitely be back!

The food was absolutely delicious, truly excellent! The service was also very good. I just found the music a bit loud, which made conversation difficult.

I visited Heart 2 times and I will definitely go back!! Food is great, you can really taste the passion, research and dedication in every dish. Cocktail selection is also very interesting and carefully presented, I tried few of them and really enjoyed them!! Last but not least, the service: The last time I was there, we were attended by Saul and I must say, he truly is the best. Saul elevated the whole experience to a different level, with great communication, kindness and professionalism.

Edit: on my second visit, everything fell flat! The food we enjoyed so much last time was devoid of its original taste. Quite sad! Visited on a busy Friday night and it was such a great experience. Bartender recommended us good drinks, the ambience was very nice, staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The food recommendations were great. We had a three course meal. Food presentation and taste was spot on, enjoyed eating every last bit of it! Just a tad bit disappointed with Dessert but all in all 100% recommended for a good chilling experience in Amsterdam with great food, drinks and service.

We had a wonderful time at Hearth! The service was quick, friendly, and felt very personal. We tried the tasting menu and didn't regret it. It's impressive and inspiring to see what comes out of a vegan kitchen. At 8:00 PM, the music was live, which was a bit more enjoyable, but thanks to the impressive sound system, we were able to chat comfortably and enjoy the atmosphere.

Truly, congratulations! We ate very well, the service was attentive, the atmosphere was pleasant, with a DJ set and background music (very pleasant and not at all intrusive). The dishes were carefully prepared, and the drinks were also delicious. If it were in my city, it would become a regular stop. It was a wonderful experience, even my omnivorous boyfriend was satisfied with the food. I recommend it to everyone. A must try.

We went here for New Year's Eve dinner and it was a wonderful evening. The menu featured sophisticated dishes, truly excellent, and all vegan! I was very full, and the price was fair for a New Year's Eve dinner in Amsterdam. The only thing I would recommend improving for the future is the cannelloni filling (they were a little dry), but otherwise everything was truly delicious!

Great restaurant. As a non-vegan, I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the setting. A few drawbacks: hardly anyone speaks Dutch, and at the end, you're asked to leave a tip. That's an American situation that won't necessarily change.

Wow, easily the best meal we had in Amsterdam! Not even close. Brilliant food, absolutely incredible service. Can you get a better meal and experience in Amsterdam at this price? The server gave excellent recommendations, explained all components of the dishes to us when serving, accommodated a special request, and overall made us feel welcome and appreciated. She was awesome! Lots of vegan/veg restaurants phone it in with standard options (and some do that well of course too), but not this one. Feels super upscale, and you can taste passion, love and expertise in the dishes. Not pictured is the Thai green curry soup, holy hell so good. The broccoli gnocchi is the best gnocchi I've ever eaten (maybe the chips were overboard, but I love chips so who cares!). And the king trumpet mushroom dish was delightful. We loved everything.

Such great atmosphere, food, and wine! If it’s your first time going here I suggest you try the Cauliflower Rillete, which was a total flavor bomb! Amazing tastes, nice people, good place to be

One thing was clear after exiting Hearth: I regret not coming here earlier. I've tried some fine vegan food, but the food here was among the finest. Upon entering, you're professionaly welcomed to the atmospherical restaurant, where a DJ is playing some live ambient music in the back. Attention is paid to the smallest details, from the art on the wall to the colours and materials used for the interior and lighting. It's as if they want to tell you: this is a safe space, sit down, relax and we'll take care of everything. The waiter introduces himself at the table and explains how to have the best experience. It's clear there's no rush, which is a good thing, because everything on the menu sounds mouthwatering. This is not going to be an easy choice. With four other people in my company we had the opportunity to share all the starters and all the mains. All the dishes individually are simply mind-blowing, but it was the sushi (both the 'mexican' and the beetroot variety) that did it for me. I ordered an extra portion of it instead of dessert after my main: a charcoaled ravioli with shiitake mushroom and furikake. Complex flavours and textures are explored in Hearth's dishes and everything is completely balanced out. It's one of those restaurants that make salt completely unnecessary. Other mains that stood out were the amaranth cutlet with green curry sauce, lentil ragout and the king oyster mushroom scallops. Satisfied we stepped outside into a cold winter night. The temperature was below freezing point but inside us a humble fire was burning, ignited by the warm ambience of the restaurant and the fine dinner we just experienced. This is a restaurant that is going to stay with me for a while and also one I would definitely return to. Recommended heart(h)ily

Of all the vegan restaurants I've visited, this menu disappointed me. I've only seen positive reviews, but I found the desserts, in particular, rather bland. I think the flavor profiles could be improved. Adding sweet, salty, or umami flavors would be a big help. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderfully cozy. Hopefully, this feedback will help improve things even further. Good luck!

Where to start… the persons behind us waiting to be seated got a table before us. The waiter forgot a beverage we ve ordered. I ordered the black ravioli and i was not a fan. waaaay too salty. I got atherosclerosis the second i took my first bite. spaghetti also were mid imo. Hard as a rock. One of the cool things worth mentioning was the sound system.

All the staff are very nice and professional and the setting is calm and clean UPDATE: the second time we came at the restaurant, we were not served the tasting menu as it was after 21 - mind that it was 21:03.
