The perfect place for the perfect date. The food was was simply delicious and the ambiance and the service made it even a better. Not only a nice vegan restaurant but a hole experience.

My partner booked us a table here for my 30th birthday, and im so glad he chose this place! The tasting menu was such a fun (and tasty) experience, and beautifully presented! The staff were so friendly too, and we even got to say hi to the chef!

We booked this place in advance and we went all out with their Hearth Menu, which is a multi-course experience that feels like a museum for tastebuds. I don't think we've ever had a restaurant experience as amazing as this. I won't spoil the experience here, as I think you should just go and let the chef guide you through it. But rest assured, these guys know their shit. Even foods I'm not a huge fan of ended up being incredible, partially because of the presentation, but also because of the way they combine flavours and textures to create an unforgettable bite. The staff were really friendly, and the chef even came out to say hello. You could really tell that he (and everyone else there) loves the job. The team's passion is evident from the moment you enter. We were almost expecting to be underdressed, but were happy to discover that casual wear was completely fine. The food was fine-dining levels of fancy, but the vibes were relaxed. It felt as though they wanted to show off on the food end, but not bog you down with dresscodes and pretentious service. They went for something in between, and it absolutely works. 10/10 experience. Will come back next time we're in Amsterdam.

The attention to building up the gustative experience in terms of taste, texture and color never ceases to amaze me. Warm service, warm ambiance, good music.... That's why Hearth is one of my favorites!

Exceptional experience. The food was fantastic (tried the Hearth menu), the plating was aesthetically beautiful but what would bring me back is the service. We agreed it was the best service we’ve ever received in Amsterdam and especially with a severe allergy, it was a relief that the full staff took it seriously (went above and beyond) and helped us have a great time. This hasn’t been the experience at other restaurants of similar caliber making the Hearth experience even more memorably positive.

We wanted to dine here for a while, but since we were in the neighborhood and saw they also serve lunch options and pastries now we decided to stop by! We had a cappuccino and homemade lemonade for drinks and the crispy tofu & curry crunch sandwiches. Both were so good! The curry crunch was a flavor explosion and the crispy tofu was a little more mild flavor wise, so definitely start with the crispy tofu if you get them both :) the homemade lemonade was also really delicious, definitely in my top homemade lemonades that i tasted so far. 10/10, can’t wait to dine here someday!

It was our first time at Hearth, and we received a warm welcome and everything was explained to us. We opted for the tasting menu. The dishes were all sophisticated, very tasty, and beautifully presented. Each dish showcased a wide range of flavors and textures. Wonderful! A special touch is the DJ providing live music. We enjoyed it. The only slight drawbacks were that the chairs could be a bit more comfortable and the tables a bit larger. A reservation is essential if you want to eat there on a specific date. In conclusion: anyone who wants to try exceptional and creative vegan dishes should definitely treat themselves to this experience.

We had the tasting menu at Hearth Amsterdam and it was honestly one of the best vegan dining experiences we have had. Every course was creative, beautifully presented, and packed with flavour. We really appreciated how thoughtfully each dish was put together. The menu was varied, surprising, and showed just how exciting and sophisticated vegan cuisine can be. Nothing felt like a compromise — every dish was genuinely delicious. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience with great attention to detail. We would absolutely recommend Hearth to anyone, whether you’re vegan or simply someone who appreciates really good food. 🌱

Fantastic experience! Very nice service, professional yet pleasantly relaxed, and very friendly, honest, and helpful. They took their time with us, and our waitress made honest and sincere recommendations. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also very nice! There was a DJ playing tasteful music, and the interior, lighting, and overall setup created a very calming, hip, and simultaneously rustic atmosphere. We both started with a cocktail (Highly recommended!), especially the Yuzu Paloma, which was very beautifully balanced. All the dishes on the menu looked so good and interesting that, due to the indecision, we just went for the hearth menu. This turned out to be a very good choice! Very surprised by a number of flavors and combinations, and even the plain rice was really delicious; that tells you the rest is going to be good. 😉 We will definitely come back again to eat à la carte. Then I will 100% order the 'Daikon kombu broth' again, and the 'scallops' were absolutely finger-licking good too! Overall, a truly perfect experience! Highly recommended for everyone.

Completely vegan, yet absolutely delicious. Culinary virtuosos! The service is excellent: friendly, unobtrusive, and efficient. The atmosphere is very pleasant. However, the interior (sound, light and chairs) could be more comfortable. Nevertheless, in terms of food, service, and atmosphere, Hearth comes highly recommended!

We had a truly special meal; the flavors came through beautifully, and I thought it was great that everything was vegan. We tried the Discovery menu. The starter consisted of 4 different dishes, a small soup in between, and the main course consisted of 3 main courses (good portions! We were full haha) followed by two desserts. I thought the main courses were particularly great; my table companions were very enthusiastic about the starters. As a big dessert lover, I did think the dessert could be even better! The service was really top-notch, very attentive, and with a cozy atmosphere! They seemed to really enjoy their work. It was quite noisy, but oh well, you just have to try a little harder to understand each other; it didn't detract from the evening. Would definitely come back :)

I am from Los Angeles and my line of work has me traveling all over the world. Whenever I am in Amsterdam I eat at Hearth and it blows me away every single time. On this trip, we had Hearth for drinks and small plates with their new menu and holllyyyyy shit. We immediately made reservations for dinner another night and came for breakfast in the morning. I am enjoying the Crispy Tofu sandwich as I’m writing this and I want to cry. Compliments to the chef! Staff was so kind and overall this is one of the best restaurants in the world!!!

My family and I came for dinner to celebrate my mum’s birthday and we ordered four Discovery set menus. Everything was perfect – the food and wine were delicious and the team was lovely. Delicious and lovely. I was struck not just by the creative food (though the lighter tasting menu was a big success for my partner & I), but by the atmosphere. We were seated right next to the kitchen and remarked more than once that not only was it calm, but it was easy to forget food was being prepared at all. You definitely get the impression that a lot of care goes into the food and the place itself, and I'm already looking forward to the next experience.

This is a fabulous place for dinner in the evening - but also for coffee and delicious homemade croissants in the morning (until 3pm). We came here for dinner because of great reviews and try the tasting menu - there is also an à la carte option. Each dish was beautifully presented. Looked like an artwork, tasted like a dream! Incredibly imaginative mix of ingredients- all vegan - and tastes. The collective of chefs - including the original owner Valentino who is also a DJ - were not just friendly but amazingly talented. The staff who served us described every dish and were both passionate and knowledgeable about the food. The restaurant was full and you should try to book in advance. Hearth has just opened ’Daylight at Hearth’ serving coffee, croissants, cakes and sandwiches (9am-3pm Fridays to Tuesdays) so we returned the next morning. The croissants are divine! Plain is delicious and much tastier than normal croissants but there are also options with added raspberry & mascarpone or lemon curd. Beautiful food and people: highly recommended!

What an amazing and wonderful surprise! We came across this place by chance and booked a table. As we were new to the restaurant we tried their tasting menu so we could try most of their food, it was delicious! So much so we came back for coffee with their homemade milk and their own vegan croissants which we could have eaten every day, in fact we came back before our train home to stock up on several to last us on our journey. We come to Amsterdam often and this is one of the best places we have eaten in the past 8 years. We definitely recommend!

Amazing plant-based experience! As a vegan for 9 years, I love seeing how diverse and creative plant-based cuisine can be, and Hearth absolutely blew us away. We chose the tasting menu to try a variety of dishes, and everything was incredibly delicious… I honestly couldn't pick a favourite! Every single plate was beautifully presented and a true work of art.A special thank you to the staff: due to medication, I have strict dietary restrictions, and the service was extremely attentive and accommodating. It was absolutely no problem for them to adjust the menu. Eating here was worth every penny and a true highlight of our trip to Amsterdam. Highly recommended!

came to Hart for dinner on my own and had such a lovely experience from the moment I walked in. I was warmly welcomed by the stunning lady behind the bar, and the waiter was equally friendly, offering me a choice between sitting at the bar or at a table. I chose a table and immediately felt comfortable and well looked after. I started with a Yuzu Paloma, which was absolutely delicious. Before the food arrived, I was surprised with a cute little welcome canapé – a mushroom with beetroot sauce – which was such a nice touch. For my starter, I had the beetroot ravioli, followed by the spirulina cannelloni as my main. Both were delicious. You can really tell that the food here is made fresh, with quality ingredients and, most importantly, with care and love. This definitely isn’t a place for rushed, fast food – it’s somewhere to sit back, enjoy your evening and appreciate what has been prepared for you. I also tried another cocktail with rum and coconut, which was really yummy and a little different from the usual cocktails you find everywhere. What made the evening especially memorable was the service. The waiter regularly checked that everything was okay, and even the chef came over to ask how I was enjoying the food. Then, without me ordering dessert, they surprised me with a little nutty chocolate brownie with raspberry jam, cream and mint. I wasn’t expecting it at all, which made the gesture even sweeter. The whole team seemed relaxed, calm and genuinely happy to be working together. That makes such a difference to the atmosphere of a restaurant. Eating dinner alone can sometimes feel a little awkward, but I never felt that way here. I could simply relax and enjoy my evening. Great food, creative drinks, genuinely warm service and a team that seems to care about what they do. I thought it was absolutely worth the money and would definitely come back.

Amazing food and atmosphere! Highly recommended not only for vegans

Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time for our food – there were sometimes 30 to 45 minutes between courses. The drinks also arrived very slowly. The food itself was generally tasty and decent, but nothing special. We had expected more, especially from a somewhat upscale vegan restaurant. In addition, the portions were, in our opinion, far too small. We had to share a lot, and in the end, we actually left hungry. At a price of €140, the overall experience didn't feel right. The slow service, the long wait times, and the small portions significantly dampened our evening. We're used to more attentive service and a more polished overall experience from restaurants in this price range.

We ordered the King Oyster Mushroom “Fish” and the celeriac entrée. Both dishes were packed with flavor and thoughtfully prepared. The mushroom had an impressive texture and the celeriac was rich, comforting, and unlike anything we’ve had before. Our only criticism was the portion size. While every bite was delicious, we both left feeling hungry and wishing there had been more food, especially considering the price. If you’re looking for inventive, upscale vegan dining in Amsterdam, Hearth is absolutely worth a visit. Just be prepared for smaller portions than you might expect.

We had the Discover menu, and believe me this is more than worth a try. Service was “au top”. Kudos to the team. We do recommend and we’ll come back.

Lovely staff who make you feel very welcome. The food is expensive although we all left a little bit hungry and disappointed. We had a lot of dishes and would say the best meal was the mushroom dhal and the least favourite was the dosa. We appreciate the huge effort that goes into the dishes and their presentation but we found much better vegan food in Amsterdam.

Restaurant started serving vegan croissants. Great to see more & more vegan breakfast opportunities popping up in AMS. Definitely go by and try out their croissant. Recommend: pair it with a white tea.

I visited Hearth with my husband and son on our first night in Amsterdam. Maya was the friendliest and most helpful server. The food was incredible. We were most surprised at the beet starter 😋 they sang happy birthday to my husband and the dessert was gooey and delicious. We don't have a lot of upscale vegan options in New Orleans so this was a lovely experience and we will be back!

I spontaneously booked a table for myself as a solo guest. The service was incredibly friendly, the food was delicious and beautifully presented. For my starter, I had the sushi, and for my main course, the mushroom scallops with lentil dal. Unfortunately, I was already too full for dessert.

A wonderful surprise. We were welcomed by Marco and Valentino, truly friendly and welcoming hosts. We took advice from the former, who manages the dining room, and he guided us on a truly special journey. The dishes were beautiful to look at, but above all, delicious, with surprising pairings. Ingredients from around the world were carefully sourced, but above all, Chef Valentino was incredibly skilled. The price was also absolutely below average for the experience. Well done!!!

Overall, very good. The atmosphere and service are relaxed and pleasant, and the food is very special: original, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The price is steep (I paid well over €65 pp all-in), but it is worth it, given the overall quality. What I find unfortunate is that the menu—short but detailed—is entirely in English, which requires a lot of searching on a smartphone. And I find it a pity that the portions are not very substantial (even after 3 courses, I was still really hungry).

The concept of fully vegan dining really appeals to me as an omnivore. It is surprising to experience how much flavor and creativity can be found in a plant-based menu. The service was excellent. The staff knew exactly how to explain what was on the plates and knew the wine list inside out, which meant we received good recommendations. For starters, we both chose the Mexican sushi. That was a successful start to the evening: surprising, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. In between courses, the chef served us a tempura jalapeño. We really appreciated that. For the main course, we had the King Oyster Mushroom “Scallops” with red lentil dal, confit potato, tomato caviar, and puffed lotus seeds, and the Broccoli Gnocchi with sun-dried tomato sauce, cashew-garlic cheese, and potato chips. Personally, I found the “scallops” a bit too spicy, causing the other flavors to fade somewhat into the background. My dining companion, on the other hand, was very enthusiastic about the broccoli gnocchi. The only downside of the evening was the dessert. Due to my nut allergy, there was unfortunately no dessert on the menu that I could eat. All in all, we had a very pleasant evening. A nice concept, friendly and knowledgeable service, and dishes that show just how versatile vegan cuisine can be. Definitely a restaurant I would happily return to.

The restaurant is lovely, with attentive service, a pleasant atmosphere, and good food for a vegan restaurant. The chefs have done a great job experimenting with flavors, although there are naturally some limitations to what can be achieved with purely vegan ingredients. Our favorite dish was the courgette gnocchi, while the vegan sushi was the least memorable. It mostly tasted of rice and hummus, without much complexity. We also didn't particularly enjoy the chocolate tart. It tasted a bit *too* healthy (not sweet enough and lacking the rich, creamy texture you would normally expect from a dessert). Personally, I would have preferred a more indulgent version, even if that meant sacrificing some of the health benefits. The mushroom "scallops" were quite good, but the cream served with them reminded me too much of a spicy chickpea soup. Considering the price, I was hoping for a more distinctive twist in flavor. The staff were excellent and made a positive contribution to our experience. They were attentive throughout the evening and even served small complimentary treats between the main courses, which was a nice touch. Overall, as a non-vegan, I probably wouldn't return. However, I think it's an excellent restaurant for vegans and a lovely place to enjoy a relaxed evening or a pleasant date. .

We could have just gotten fries 😭 One of the most overrated restaurants I've ever been to. The sushi tasted like a burrito, the "chips" were worse than Pringles, and the so-called guacamole was basically mashed peas. Almost every dish lacked flavour, yet the prices are outrageous for what you get. The atmosphere didn't help either—odd rugs hanging on the walls, uninspiring décor, and music so sleepy it killed any energy in the room. Just horrible experience.
