Great experience, excellent service, lovely atmosphere and delicious food. The staff was very friendly, and offered additional and tasty bulgur for our 2-year-old daughter. Overall, we had a really nice time there, and would definitely come again next time we visit Amsterdam.

From startes to desserts, everything was well presented for the eyes and delicious for the mouth. Atmosphere super cool and pleasant to talk and enjoy dinner 🍽 plus very friendly staff ! Everything was fantastic—the service was excellent (shoutout to Saul who gave us the best recommendations!) and the food was phenomenal. So many reviews say this was the best meal they’ve ever had and I completely understand why! We ordered the coral fried jalapeño starter, the amaranth cutlets, and black charcoal ravioli. Not cheap but would definitely say it’s worth the splurge!

I started my dinner by making a reservation on the website. I chose "restaurant table" rather than "bar stool", because I wanted to rest my feet. I arrived early, and was brought to a bar stool. I asked why I couldn't get my table, and I was told that single eaters don't get a table, basically. I had the beetroot sushi (very good), the ravioli (a bit bland), and, after waiting for 20 minutes, ordered the chocolate / coconut dessert (unsatisfying). Overall, I paid the same amount as if I had gone for the gourmet option (only available for 2+ people), but only one dish made me happy. The interior decoration is nice, I liked the painted skateboard scenes, but the music is too loud. Overall, an overpriced unenjoyable experience.

Consistently one of the best dining experiences in Amsterdam. The new tasting menu is highly recommended for diners new to this restaurant. The amuse-bouche itself was highly memorable. Every starter we tried was perfectly executed and spot-on for taste. The two types of sushi rolls evoked such strong and wonderful flavor profiles. The coral jalapenoes made for an elegant version of a jalapeno popper. The green curry coconut cauliflower soup stood out as an excellent comfort food. The mains we tried were very good as well. The black ravioli was so hearty and really hit the eastern asian taste profile on the mark. Some of us thought the amaranth cutlet was a little too dense for the dish, making it more like a cracker than a cutlet. However the flavors of that dish were also excellent and this is a highly nitpicky point which did not detract from the experience. I also have to point out the cocktail menu has a diverse selection of inventive and delicious options. Hearth ranks in my book as one of the best restaurants in Amsterdam.

Hands down the best vegan food I’ve ever eaten. Fine dining, delicious and the highest quality dishes, served fantastically! The cherry on top was the service by the kindest waiter Saul. With smile he suggested the best options and made the whole experience ten times better!

Staying in De Pijp as English tourists. Booked Hearth as my daughter is Vegan, but I am nasty carnivore. Absolutely outstanding. All the staff so helpful and charming. Chef super creative and total genius. Lovely laid back atmosphere. Forgot I love meat and was beguiled by the complexity and creativity of the menu. Going back.

Had a lovely dinner at the "blue pasta restaurant". Looked great and tasted awesome too.

The ambience was gorgeous and I’m glad there are upscale places for plant based diets. The appetizers were the best part of our meal which included the pepper sushi and the beetroot sushi. The gnocchi was mild and somewhat bland. The charcoal ravioli was alright. The crumble dessert was also fine. I think for us the flavor needed to be punchier or have more salt or acid for it to really get a better review. Overall they were wonderful servers and the chefs checked in on us to see how we enjoyed the food.

Visiting Amsterdam for an event and looking for a cool vegan place with a healthy approach to food. Hearth nailed it! excellent food, cool atmosphere and excellent service.

Honestly confused as to how everything they brought out was better than the last. After our starter, I had already written it off as the best meal I'd had in months. But it just. Kept. Getting. Better. Not only was the food incredible, but the cocktails were creative and delicious! I absolutely love Amsterdam, but creative cocktails isn't really their strong suit. This made hearth shine even more. The staff was friendly, attentive and catered to all our needs. There was a moment where I mumbled and they misheard a part of my order, but they caught the error quickly and went above & beyond to correct it and even brought out and additional dish to hold us over while they made the correction.

This restaurant was fantastic we had an amazing meal. We are both non vegans and there was nothing lacking in this meal. The flavours and presentation of each dish was inventive and we wish we could have tried more. For tourists and residents alike a must try!

My boyfriend took me here for our anniversary, and I was absolutely wowed that he had picked a vegan place to celebrate. To start off, the decor is absolutely stunning. I didn’t take photos, but you can feel the warmth of natural and organic materials, just felt very cozy. The drinks menu was impressive, a wide selection of natural and organic wines, we ordered a natural sparkling rose and it was absolutely delicious. For food, we got the jalapeños and mexican sushi. Both delicious and savory little bites. For our mains, we split the ramen and the black ravioli. The black ravioli packed a nice kick of Asian flavor, topped with soy sauce and crunchy seaweed. This was the standout dish for me, I wanted to eat a whole other plate of this ravioli. 10/10 would recommend to any vegan food lovers with an Asian twist. A wonderful experience with great service and ambiance.

Hearth was a highlight of our trip to Amsterdam. The service was impeccable — owner Marco was hands-on and stopped by our table several times, even though we walked in without a reservation. Carlo behind the bar gave excellent recommendations for both food and drinks. The fully vegan menu was phenomenal — creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The music, atmosphere, and food were over the top, creating an ambience that felt both cozy and distinctive. Easily one of the best vegan dining experiences we’ve had.

Prices are average Amsterdam prices for a mid-upper-level restaurant. Pasta dishes are all around 20 euros. They host themed nights, usually with a live jazz band, which creates a warm atmosphere! I recommend this restaurant for a nice night out with friends or a romantic dinner, with good food and cocktails! Everything is entirely vegan! This place is run by Italians, and I believe the kitchen staff are all Italian. This is evident in the dishes, all well-prepared and flavorful, especially the gnocchi! Hearth was recommended to my daughter and I, it was truly excellent. I'm always impressed by the creativity that goes into vegan cuisine, and although I'm neither vegan or vegetarian, the food at Hearth was amazing and in no way missing animal based ingredients. The Tempura Jalapeno starter is one of the best things I've eaten in years.

A dinner in a simple yet elegant restaurant with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made you feel at ease. There were two of us: I'm vegan and the other omnivorous. As someone who knows vegan cuisine, I was thrilled by the deliciousness of each dish, created and presented in ways that were neither banal nor common, yet all delicious and flavorful. My friend would have loved a second helping of both his appetizer and his main course (the amaranth cutlet). For our appetizer, we had the sushi, which is absolutely worth trying. We were more satisfied than many other times we've dined at non-vegan sushi restaurants. It's incomparable to the vegan sushi offered here at other restaurants, but also better than many non-vegan sushi options you can generally find. The dessert was very special and delicious, out of the ordinary, not your typical dessert. I would go back very often if I lived in Amsterdam! A must try. Congratulations!!

The staff were warm and attentive – a special thanks to the lovely team member who nailed a recommendation based on our tastes! The Carrot Samba cocktail was fresh, zingy, and had just the right spicy kick, while the “Oye Como Va” was like a refined piña colada – smooth, high-quality, and seriously moreish. The beetroot sushi starter looked stunning and tasted even better – a perfect balance of flavours. The aubergine with bulgar wheat and tzatziki was smoky and textured, another standout. The oyster mushroom on red lentil dhal was rich and full of spice, and the broccoli gnocchi, though tasty, didn’t quite hit the same wow factor as the sushi. For dessert, we shared the tahini coconut chocolate sponge. It was enjoyable but a touch on the dry side. Overall, this restaurant shows just how exciting and delicious vegan food can be. The chef’s creative fusions are impressive and keep you wanting more. Highly recommended.

The dishes were really very good, tasty and well thought out. It is a refined cuisine that is a little out of the ordinary. On the other hand, I found that the starters were a little expensive and the main courses were not very generous. The restaurant is pleasant with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and the service was perfect. Our waitress was very attentive and smiling.

What a gem! We googled top Vegan restaurants in Amsterdam and this was one on the list. The concept and background of the chef caught our attention. Very attentive staff; we arrived a tad early and they quickly offered a place to sit and set us up with our drink order and menus to start our planning. Highly recommend the Mexican sushi (longer name on the menu.) How they pulled off such a complex flavor profile in that bite is unbelievable. We also tried the broccoli gnocchi and mushroom ravioli... absolutely delicious! Our waitperson, Maya, was wonderful, attentive, and so sweet. This needs to be on everyone's short list of places to eat in Amsterdam.

The staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable; they even gave us a complimentary entree to let us know. I would stay longer in Amsterdam just to be able to return. They're all fantastic!

We had the tasting menu and it was a great experience. It was a four-course meal. Two courses fo three starters each, then a course with two main dishes, and the last course had two dessert options. All of the dishes were made to share. The food was really good. Creative and bold dishes like Mexican sushi with avocado and beans, a mushroom-filled ravioli with black pasta and teriaky sauce, made for a great meal. Everthing tasted great. The quantity of food was also great.

We came for my son’s birthday, shared five starters (each a visual and flavor masterpiece), and loved every main – gnocchi, ravioli, and ramen. We’re all meat eaters, yet the flavors here outshine most meat-based menus. And whatever you do, save room for dessert – the black sesame semifreddo with a walnut and date base and dark chocolate topping was out of this world. Perfect for a special occasion, with prices that are very fair for the quality. Bonus points for honoring my reservation mistake – a rare act of hospitality that made the evening even more memorable.

It really is one of the best restaurants we ever ate at: every single bite is so full of taste, true sensation in your mouth. Soul was both amazing and entertaining host, and we sat in the super cosy corner next to the open kitchen where we watched Lorenzo and Amanda produce water mounting dishes! When we walked past this unassuming restaurant, little did we realize that we were stepping into a secret culinary explosion of a universe. It all started when the server Saul surprised us with a complimentary starter. The very first bite was a sensory experience like one I had never had before. I knew right then that this was going to be a ride of a lifetime. And I was ready. The main course almost killed us. Words do no justice. So I won't even try. Each dish surpassed the previous. The only thing better than the flavor and texture was the presentation of the dishes themselves. Finally, the dessert, thanks to our chefs Lorenzo and Amanda, made us shed a tear. I ate mine so slowly with each bite size becoming smaller and smaller because I wanted to make it last forever. When it finally ended, sadness entered my heart knowing that the beautiful experience had finally come to an end 🥲 If you want to have Avante Garde food at affordable prices, do yourselves a favor and check this place out. You won't regret it. Ask for the server Saul - he's the cherry on the cake, which are the chefs Amanda and Lorenzo.
