Really kind, friendly left wing place. Beautiful space. V nice prices. (If you want food, make sure you’ve put your name down on the list in advance. Food happens in the evening around 7pm and they cook based on how many people are on the list.) Happy this place exists.

Absolutely loved the food and the place. Delicious vegan meals for little money. Furthermore, they run entirely on volunteers and any profits they make are given away to charities. Can’t ask for a much better place to eat. Highly recommendable!

My absolute favorite place in Amsterdam. The mere existence of this project, and the amazing people who make it, makes my heart happier and transformed my connection with the city. MKZ is not a restaurant. You are going to be served with dignity, respect, camaraderie, music and great conversations here. Regarding the food, it is cooked by volunteers, always vegan (MKZ is no place for hierarchies and supr3m4c1es such as speciesism). It is always absolutely delicious. A 3-4 course meal, made with love, compassion, fun. You wash your dishes and your faith in humanity here. ### OPEN FOR TAKEAWAY ON SATURDAY ### During lockdown, you can call MKZ, make a reservation of how many dishes you want, then pick up between 19:00 and 20:00. Bring your own containers for food. The food can be paid on a donation basis, min. 5€ is advised. Any proceeds (after costs) goes to support a cause agreed by the volunteer cooks, mostly local causes.

This place is amazing. There is a big family atmosphere here and they make everyone feel welcome. I went on a Saturday and it was pay what you want, the money goes to a cause, you serve yourself, wash the plate, and they then serve you the next portion. It's fantastic 👌

Top vegan place, love it. Hard to reserve, but try, opens only on the weekends (check their agenda) very casual and different from a classic restaurant, the MKZ dinners are prepared by collectives. And always, always amazing. Beer selection is good, wines not really. ;)

Great alternative place, amazing people that are working for good causes, friendly atmosphere. Great food of course, but this place is so much more than just a place to eat. You have to go and find out for yourself :) Enjoy !

Excellent vegan place. it is a nonprofit run by volunteers. We went on a night when for 5 euro you get 3 course set menu. It might always be this way. We had red lentil soup, followed by rice noodles with spinach, tofu, broccoli and peanut sauce. Very good. Dessert was chocolate dipped fruits. Excellent concept where they serve at kitchen and you go get food. Excellent price/quality ratio. Free water. Beer or wine is only 2-3 euros. Some people may have been going back for second plates for no extra charge.

Simply amazing. No hassle with picking food, since there's only 1 dish per round. This one dish however... If you're reading this, go there :)

On Wednesdays and Fridays they offer a vegan dinner. For 5€ you get the whole menu (starter, main dish, dessert). You can have more bread if you need it of course :). You have to wash your dishes after you're done. And that's it. The place is lovely, people are the best, and they have a good selection of drinks also.

Great place! Cosy and relaxed. Don't come here looking for a fancy meal....cone here looking for a chilled out place with warm vibes. Food is nice...and cheap. Remember, you need to wash your own dishes :-)
