Hello Goodbye Bar in Schiphol

A terrible place, where the man who was there tonight/last night (most of the time) was very unfriendly. He refused to make coffee (under the pretense that the machine wasn't hot yet). We've been there for two hours, and he kept looking at his phone, or chatting. Lots of people came, but the man only sold a single bottle of soda, and many requests for coffee were rejected. Hello Goodbye is a lousy place, where customers are turned away and where mice have a blast. I made a video of it... Disgusting!

The latte (€5-6) was delicious. The focaccia (€0.50) came with tuna (€6.75) and a cheese sauce (I forgot what it was called...) The above cost over NT$400, or €13, including a 5% tip. Credit cards accepted. The bread was delicious and crispy. I thought I'd just grab a bite at the airport, but it turned out to be incredibly delicious. Highly recommended. I also highly recommend the ingredients. The service was friendly and helpful. It's right in front of Arrival 1, perfect for waiting for friends.

This is what you call classic Dutch “tosti” (or toast in English). I had the mozzarella, tomato, and basil pesto toasted sandwich, and it was delicious. A simple sandwich, but you could really taste the good quality of the ingredients. I enjoyed it so much that I had to order another one so i went for the Hawaiian toasted sandwich this time, and again, it was amazing. Maybe that’s the secret here: keep it simple, but use fresh, quality ingredients. If you’re at Schiphol and want a nice breakfast, I definitely recommend stopping here to start your day. I’d happily come back if I’m ever traveling through again.

What a crappy place. When I wanted to have a drink with colleagues after my evening shift, the guy told me the tap was closed for cleaning, which wasn't the case. We've been told that twice in a row now. We spend a lot of money, but not anymore. Terrible service. I'd kick that guy out immediately. He's just pulling our leg.

What a crappy place! After work, you go there for a beer with some colleagues, and the little guy tells you the tap needs cleaning and you can't serve it. It's ridiculous, charging €9 for a half-liter, and it seems like the tap needs cleaning every Thursday at 10:30 PM for the last few weeks.

We landed at Schiphol Airport at midnight with a 4-month-old baby after a 4.5-hour flight. We asked for some hot and cold water for the baby's bottle (180 ml). We were charged €7.50 for this. What excellent service! Apparently, service isn't needed at Schiphol.

The toast was okay, but it took a bit longer, the staff was chatty, and they forgot to bring a muffin. The coffee was cold. The tea was nice and hot. Friendly service.

Place where when you ask for glass of tap water while ordering coffee you get refused, because “this way we would not sell the bottle water”. Wow, really? I was literally forced to show medications to get tap water. Ridiculous. The most rude and pretentious was the guy that “tries to run this place”. Sir, if you treat your customers like this, telling them that “you don’t like the way you talk to me” when someone asks for water, you will soon not have a place to run at all. Also very average coffee, unfortunately, didn’t try anything else. Not recommended.

Beware when you pay electronically, because you'll pay a tip when you put your card on the machine or when you wait too long. The staff doesn't warn you and afterwards refer you to an emailaddress for a refund. They tell you only a few people have a problem with this, which i don't believe. We travel the world continuously and have never encountered this horrible practice. Don't go here!!!

Great service and very competent food. we had an apple pie and toast. considering how the flavor usually travels far from airports, I found it a pleasant surprise. This place is fighting the airport's bad reputation in style and with the city's typical discretion.

Cappuccino is really bad. It’s better to buy in AH next to it

Had an apple juice and a cappuccino. This was a total of €8, which was quite a steep price. You have to be careful when you pay. If you do not click on the cross on the PIN device within a few seconds, a tip will be automatically added. The lady behind the counter pointed this out to me. However, it remains special that the tip is actually shoved down your throat, something that is antisocial or something like that. You already pay quite a bit and therefore also force a tip, which is actually scandalous.

Ordered coffee here and wanted to order a sandwich. Employee indicated no toasted sandwiches, but they were prepared in the kitchen🤔 Had requested 4 coffee and 2 apple pie. Got 2 coffees but no apple pie. Ask again if an apple pie employee would bring coffee, but no coffee was brought. So back again. I have pressed no tip when paying by card, people pay attention to this otherwise money will be added automatically. If the service was good and the help was friendly, they would have received a tip. They are THIEVES, when you pay a pin you immediately pay a tip. The staff will not point this out to you. Then say afterwards, oh yes, I wanted to say that. 2x coffee 7.50, that's fine for Schiphol but then a 1 90 tip. scandalous

Attention people! If you pay with a pin and do not look carefully, an amount will be added for tip/tip. In my case €1.90 on the price of 2 coffees. And the employee pretends not to know that. Pretty antisocial!!

Bad service, bad beer. I ordered a toast sandwich and lady asked me twice if wanted white or brown bread, and I said white. After paying she said “tell me again did you want white or brown?” For third time I said white. I ended up with a brown bread sandwich, at least it was tasty. The beer has a funny chemical aftertaste.

3.75 euros for a small cappuccino. Then you expect something good. Unfortunately very poor quality.

They give you these small waffles cookies at will, to me, is a deal. (Don't eat too many)

3 men serving behind bar. No customers & no queue. Neither of them friendly & certainly not helpful. Laughing & sniggering amongst each other. We left.

The gentleman who works there was very kind. Like a bartender + barista who listens to your story and shares the necessary gossips with you. He conveyed all of this in a simple interaction of 30 seconds. That it took to take my order and make the cappuccino. Would recommend the mini Stroopwafel. Much better than the typical biscuits served elsewhere.

Good coffee and hot sandwiches outside arrivals. Sandwiches cost between five and six euro. All of the coffee and cold drinks are reasonably priced. They also have pastries available. A good place to sit and wait while waiting for people to arrive.

You may not believe me because what I am about to say is bold... They have the best apple pie that I ate in years! Yes, the best apple pie I ate is in an airport bar... crazy right? You have to try it!

High prices and bad food. €3.75 for a 500ml bottle of Cola Zero when, even when buying from a convenience store, it's €2.50. Supermarkets charge €2 for a 1.5 liter bottle. I ordered a ham and cheese piadina. I love a good piadina and this was an insult. Horrible, thick, crumbly dough with one slice each of cheap ham and cheese. In a word: Nasty. Service was friendly but slow. I recommend you avoid this airport tourist trap and go to the 'Albert Heijn To Go' next door instead, which is far from perfect, but better and cheaper than here.

Located directly opposite Arrival 1, I ordered coffee and apple pie. After 35 minutes I am told that I have to order something at the bar. To which I indicate that I have consumed something. I'm getting......Yes, an hour ago, for sure......around my ears. I have a cup of coffee there every week, while there are people sitting all around me without anything to drink and then you are treated so rudely. I come there every week and from now on I will get my coffee somewhere else and not sit down. That's not how you treat your customers!!! Terrible 😡
