Had coffee and cake twice with a Social Deal. Very tasty and friendly staff.

Tuesday, August 18, 2026, Friend's Birthday. The food was delicious, but unfortunately something happened that I am quite upset about and that I wanted to share. While I was briefly in the restroom, the staff had already brought the ice fountain to the table and lit it. So, when I returned, the moment had already passed. We found this very careless. A birthday surprise is meant to be shared, and the staff could easily have noticed that someone was missing from the table or waited until I returned. Unfortunately, this somewhat ruined the festive conclusion of our evening. I wanted to share this with you so that this can be prevented for other guests in the future. Friendly and good service, good selection from various menus. A bit pricey for what you get.

We weren't seen, but other guests who arrived later did have their lunch taken. So we went to pay and went somewhere else for lunch. The blonde lady said, "Yes, I'm busy..." Unprofessional and arrogant. If she's there, I walk right past a terrace.

Lovely terrace where you can relax with a drink and enjoy a beautiful, lively view of the bustling surroundings, De Visbank, passersby, and traffic. Friendly service.

What a difference in 4 years. Left waiting for 15 minutes while others who came in later served first. Staff nonchalant and tried to serve me food they had accidentally served to someone else. They had already started eating it! I demanded a new plate of food. This wasn’t taken in good grace. I am assuming the food will be good. But my review might change. Definitely in the middle of Vlaardingen but not the Hart of Vlaardinen.

I had a wonderful experience during my visit to Het Hart van Vlaardingen. The venue boasts a fantastic atmosphere; the interior is extremely tastefully decorated and clean, which immediately creates a homey feeling. The service is very professional, and the staff is attentive, friendly, and clearly pays a great deal of attention to the comfort of the guests. The quality and presentation of both the food and drinks are excellent, the flavors are harmonious, and the menu offers a wide selection. Thanks to its excellent location, the establishment is easily accessible, making it an ideal choice for a pleasant afternoon out or a gathering with friends. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone in Vlaardingen looking for a reliable, high-quality, and welcoming venue. I will certainly be returning here regularly in the future!

Service could really be much better. You have to ask for the menus. If you order a bottle of wine, you get a glass at the table with the wine you ordered to taste. I’m not difficult, but this is not how it should be. You get the bottle itself in a wine cooler, without a napkin? The food was fine but not very tasty. They can't do anything about the weather on the terrace either, but there is no active help when it suddenly starts to thunder and rain. The staff just walks around to see what needs to be done, and with difficulty. They are all young people who know nothing about the hospitality industry. You might get a sweet smile, but something like this is annoying. My tip: Invest in your staff and give them a course or training. The location is great, the staff is nice, but the kitchen could be better. Service is really very bad. No free parking in front of the door and a spot is hard to find. They get 2 stars from me.

It is annoying when you are 'served' rudely, curtly, or snappily by the waitress twice, while between these two interactions you see how she treats a group of ladies one table away with all due respect, courtesy, friendliness, etc.

We had a surprisingly good meal at Het Hart van Vlaardingen. The chateaubriand was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. The rib eyes were too. The starters were also tasty, with the gyoza being our favorite. It's a shame I didn't take any photos… Highly recommended for a meal here!

We had lunch here: 2 small brown bread sandwiches with tuna salad (14.80), a cappuccino sandwich, and 2 Cokes, almost 35 euros. Being expensive is one thing, but the fact that they then walk up with 2 small, pathetic sandwiches with the tuna on them is simply shameful. We won't be going here again. This is simply top-notch theft; an expensive shop.

The order was apparently too complicated: only ordered 5 main courses, but served 4. When it was finally made, it was cooked much too late and undercooked: the hamburger was red and cold inside... yummy... In terms of atmosphere, we were seated in the best spot in the rather empty establishment: charmingly next to the toilet. In short, a unique experience to quickly forget!

I've been here twice for dinner in a short time. Unfortunately, I found the price and the amount of food completely disproportionate. For example, you pay almost €30 for a steak, but you get a very small piece with very little on the side. That was very disappointing for that price. We also ordered bread and spreads as a starter, but it was very meager: only two small pieces of bread for almost €7. That just doesn't feel proportional. The food tasted fine, but because of the small portions compared to the price, I personally wouldn't return.

We went out for dinner here with our toddler. The food was delicious, and there were plenty of options for children too. The interior is very cozy, and the service is super friendly. We had a wonderful evening. During school holidays, they have a kids-eat-free offer, which is extra special.

Cozy city café, friendly service, and an extensive menu. For dinner and lunch on weekends, I recommend making a reservation.

Today we went for high tea. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The sandwiches were simply bagels served with toppings. Two mini scones came with delicious jam but whipped cream. The muffins were clearly from a bag. One caveat: you can only have tea with it; cappuccinos have to be paid for separately. There was a mix-up during the booking process, which was resolved wonderfully by the manager. That immediately made up for a lot. Unfortunately, the food really only deserves 3 stars.

The apple pie was ice cold...the cheesecake tasteless...the truffle chocolate cake was exquisite. The coffee was good.

Today was my last time. I met up with a friend who was already there with her coffee, and we sat at her table. The (few) staff walked by without attending to us. Five or six minutes later, a couple sat down at the next table, and a waitress came to serve them within a minute. We were left standing next to them with nothing... We waited another five minutes, and in the end, we paid for our friend's coffee. The person who came to collect payment didn't even seem to notice that the rest of us hadn't ordered anything, and that was that. We continued eating and drinking for another two hours at a nearby place, where we received excellent service. Like I said... never again.

Upon arrival, no mention was made of closing time. We were directed to a spot on one side of the bar because the other side was being prepared for Christmas dinner. Understandable, but the four ladies were only focused on setting tables and not on customers. When they did check on us, it was like, "When are you leaving? We have to set that table too." My advice for Christmas is to close at 4 p.m. so you have plenty of time to set the tables, but this time I felt ignored. We often enjoy coming here, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time.

Nice atmosphere inside, cozy. We had the Bavette, Risotto with bavette and spare ribs. The bavette was of pretty good quality, cooked as asked. Not super tender but ok so I’d give it a 7.5. The spare ribs same grade, very nicely marinated. The risotto (forrest mushrooms) was not good….. period. In the sense that it was just flavorless, a little mushroom taste. So grade 5 . We made a comment about it for the chef to know. The staff in the end took some drinks of our bill. Not necessary but a very friendly gesture. I do hope they fix this dish. Deserts were ok, we would do the dame Blanche more traditional. Grade 7. If we could give 3.5 stars overall we would have, but now we wanted to err to the lower side. All in all a pretty good restaurant with nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

We had a lovely lunch, the service was friendly, but the wine was quite expensive. A small glass of Malbec for €6.25!

High tea was okay, but I wouldn't go back for it. It's also not very easy to get to, as the entrance isn't wheelchair accessible.

We had the midday snack, the croque de luxe, a coke, and mint tea. We were charged €37.50 (including tip) for this. I'm very sorry, but I'm increasingly amazed by the prices in restaurants. It's truly bizarre what you pay for a small brown sandwich with carpaccio, a similar sandwich with croquette, and a small cup of bell pepper soup. And a grilled cheese sandwich with some tomato and herbs in between, oh, and not to forget a coke and mint tea.

Crowded and noisy... The table we were offered didn't meet our expectations, we weren't offered a menu, and we were left to our own devices. I decided against it, and we left after a long wait...

Cozy, semi-covered area. Lower than the streets in the neighborhood. Lots of different shops. Pleasant atmosphere.

Het Hart remains a wonderful spot in Vlaardingen for a cozy lunch or a late-night drink on the lovely terrace. Centrally located in the town center, it's easily accessible by public transport, and offers ample (paid) parking nearby. The menu offers plenty of variety, and the food is excellent! There are seating areas with heaters on the terrace, making it a great place to relax later in the evening. The staff is friendly and helpful, though they can sometimes get busy chatting with guests in the evenings. This may mean a slightly longer wait, but that shouldn't spoil the fun!

The menu changes, which is a shame because favorite dishes disappear. Most of the staff are attentive and friendly, except for one rather overly smart woman.

We had a delicious meal, and the spicy flatbread with the chili shrimp is a real bonus! We didn't have to wait too long: the appetizer and main course arrived in a good hour and a half, even though it was busy! The service was excellent, and they checked in with us neither too often nor too little. A great experience!

Cozy location. Good food and friendly staff. I go there regularly. Enjoy a nice beer on the terrace. I was surprised when my Affligem Blond on tap suddenly came in a regular beer glass. It was a 20cl beer glass, and it was neatly placed on top. The week before, they served the same beer in a goblet glass. That's how it should be to enjoy something (capacity between 25 and 30cl). The price was the same, though. A perfect example of shrinkflation. A 20% price increase!!!! It's a shame, isn't it? (I called. The response was even more depressing. That's just how it goes.)

There is not much choice in terms of non meat option...the vegetarian risotto was full of oil and flavourless which was so disappointing ...it's a nice looking place and the staff were friendly enough...

Visit to Het Hart van Vlaardingen was downright bad. Food Tasteless, lukewarm and seemed more like reheated than freshly prepared. Service Staff was disinterested and rude. They hardly looked after the guests. Atmosphere: Unsociable, messy and without atmosphere. It felt like you were not welcome. This was a real waste of my time and money. Absolutely not recommended.

I ordered a sandwich avocado with salmon, When i took my last bite i saw a little worm. I told the staff and they did nothing about it. I didn’t even ask for something new, just told them to check it so other people wouldn’t get sick. I also wanted my money back but that also didn’t happen. Very sad about that, because i loved to go to this place.

The food was mediocre. Meat was little for what you had to pay for it. The food was also lukewarm for 2 companions. We did eat it because the taste was good. This was passed on. We were 6 people. The dish the three of us had chosen did not come with fries. Because we wanted fries with it, it cost €4.50 per portion The other 3 people had fries with their dish, even though those dishes were much cheaper. Weird system this!! Either there are fries with every dish, or you have to pay for the fries with every dish. Service was super friendly and a nice atmosphere. This afternoon we wanted to have a drink on the terrace. Found a table but there was still food leftovers on the table. Apparently no cloth is wiped over the table when removing the dishes. Point of attention!!! It took a while before we got the attention of the waitresses (while it wasn't busy) they walked straight past you. Also a Points of Attention! The rest went smoothly.

Het Hart van Vlaardingen is a very cozy restaurant with very cheerful, pleasant and knowledgeable staff. The food is varied, there is something for everyone and it is all equally tasty. Definitely recommended to eat once!

It is an ideal place to have a drink. A cozy atmosphere and the 🍹 was very delicious. In addition to the patatas bravas, which had little in the way of bravas. But considering that I don't like the original patatas bravas, they were delicious. The only downside was that it was a little busy and they forgot the potatoes the first time I ordered them. Ate here last night, I found it a bit disappointing, the spot where we sat, in the middle of the shop, right at the door when you enter, in winter there is always cold air coming in and people standing directly behind you. I don't think this place is suitable! We went for share dinning, but that wasn't there at all, or couldn't be found on the menu, so you each ordered one main course and we could divide it ourselves, each with our own plate or change plates..., but that's what share dinning is like. In my opinion not. Chose the spareribs but there was very little meat in them and the fries were cold. This is a bit of a shame. I wouldn't choose the restaurant for dinner again. Don't miss out for a drink because the cocktails were beautifully served! We saw it at the others.

Nice atmosphere and vibe, quick in service

The welcome was very friendly and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The only minor downside was that the controls were not completely coordinated; forgot an order. Nevertheless, the food was really good and delicious in taste. Definitely recommended if you are in the area! It definitely makes it worth it.

An average of 4.1 is too low for this top restaurant! Very attractive restaurant, richly decorated, with good service and above all delicious food! The satay is highly recommended. Nice music too. A place to sit for a long time and come back again!
