Cozy place, pleasant atmosphere, and friendly staff. Prices very reasonable for a beach pavilion; I'll definitely be back.

Sun, good food and a nice waitress

Enjoyed a delicious lunch today. I ordered a tuna sandwich but didn't realize it also had cheese. Stupid of me, of course, but they didn't make a fuss about it at all, and I got a different dish. When I paid, the sandwich wasn't on the bill. I consider that a real compliment; it was my own mistake, after all. Excellent 👍👍

We had a great time at Het Strand! After reserving our table in the afternoon, later in the evening, we were seated at a nice table with a view over the beach. The food was very tasty, the wine was good and the young staff was very courteous and diligent. Highly recommended, but do note that the prices are a bit steep!

Heerlijk eten, fijne en vriendelijke bediening. Misschien niet de goedkoopste, maar de prijs/kwaliteit is meer dan ok!

Het eten was heerlijk of het vlees of vis is en ziet er goed verzorgd uit. Personeel erg vriendelijk. We zijn vaker hier geweest en komen zeker weer een keertje terug. Parkeren geen probleem .

We had an excellent meal here. The friendly and hardworking waitress managed almost the entire outdoor patio by herself, and she did a fantastic job. Recommended: the Caesar salad. The only thing missing was the anchovies (perhaps they were in the dressing?).

We had a wonderful meal at "Het Strand" with a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very accommodating to our allergy requests during the intake process. We even appreciated that the young man who then served us knew exactly what had been adjusted to the dishes. He gave us a lot of confidence. Simply fantastic!

Arrived today and tried it out right away... Absolutely top location, lovely ambiance, friendly young staff. Menu in English and German via QR code. Yes, it's expensive for dinner, but it's worth it. Very generous portions and delicious! Het Strand knows what they're doing!

Really nice location and incredibly delicious food

At first a bit disappointed that we did not have 1 long table for 22 people. But this was more than made up for with the nice and great service and the fantastic dinner. We had a delicious meal and enjoyed your beautiful ambiance. Thank you very much. Our parents can look back on a fantastic afternoon that they will cherish for a long time.

We ate very well. It was a lovely evening.

We ate here several times. Everything we ate was delicious. The prices are a bit high, but it's worth every cent. It's a great place to sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the beach and the sea. The staff was very friendly.

We didn't eat here but plopped down for an iced coffee with apple pie. What a treat both of them! Not cheap but it was worth it, as far as ins concerned the tastiest iced coffee we have ever had, with whipped cream and caramel sauce of course. The apple pie was also very tasty, and a big slice. Worth repeating! And last but not least, friendly service.

Het is er gezellig en de service is goed en vriendelijk , het eten is heerlijk . Zo als altijd. Wij komen er graag en geregeld! Wij hebben de andere stand tenten ook geprobeerd maar deze lokatie vinden wij het fijnste .

Bediening is snel en zorgvuldig en kwaliteit van eten is super goed! De hoeveelheid is nu ook (meer dan) genoeg! Helaas zat het weer wat tegen maar ook binnen een gezellige sfeer.

Zoals altijd was het eten weer fantastisch & de bediening weer vriendelijk & professioneel. Vis is altijd zo vers & goed bereid

We hebben vaker bij het strand gegeten. Goed terras en uitgebreide kaart, wel prijzig. Deze keer tijdens de lunch was het terras weer goed, de kaart wederom prijzig maar het eten niet zo goed als we gewend zijn. Het broodje Tuna Melt voor 17,-! Was zo karig dat we 1 helft kaal moesten eten. Dun laagje tonijnsalade met een plak tosti kaas erop en 2 verdwaalde tomaatjes 🤷‍♀️ Dit in tegenstelling tot de broodjes carpaccio die ook besteld waren. Waren wel goed. Na melding zou het doorgegeven worden aan de keuken…. Niks meer over teruggehoord. Betalen voor goede kwaliteit vind ik niet erg maar betalen voor tegenvallende kwaliteit wel ☺️ dus deze keer een minder goede review en tip om even goed te kijken naar de prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding

Faceing the sea and the sunset, a nice and chill place to have some drinks or to eat. Super good cocktail. A minus is the glass of plexi “cage”, the separe which is a little bit claustrophobic and doesn t allow the smoke to go…orherwise, super relaxing and good drinks

Samen met mijn vrouw. Een mooie dag vroeg in het seizoen (04-04-2025.) Heerlijk gegeten op het terras. Komen hier vaker vanuit het Gooi.

This beachfront restaurant is great, we had dinner there, 2 excellent suggestions with vegetable accompaniments. Parking nearby on the street but you have to pay, in high season it must obviously be more difficult to find.

Die Lage ist einmalig und die Einrichtung sehr schick. Der Service war super! Sonderwünsche wurden lächelnd gerne erfüllt. Und das Wichtigste: Das Essen war ein Traum :-) Es war mein dritter Besuch im Laufe von 5 Jahren und es war gleichbleibend toll; das erlebt man auch nicht so oft. Ich komme wieder!!!

We komen regelmatig bij Het Strand in Katwijk. Direct aan het strand, het hele jaar rond open. En ze verhuren ook huisjes op het strand wat echt helemaal geweldig is. Het restaurant heeft een prima kaart van burger tot kreeft, en er is ook een ruime keuze aan open wijnen. Bovenal, en dat is al lang niet meer zo vanzelfsprekend als het zou moeten zijn, is het personeel uiterst vriendelijk. Velen van hen werken er echt al lang en dat zegt doorgaans heel veel. Kortom, een aanrader!!

Had a good lunch, the vegan flatbread was very tasty! Very relaxed atmosphere and of course a beautiful view of the beach. They also take dietary requirements and/or intolerances into account and take this into account when choosing their menu.

It was very cold outside so we went inside to have a hot drink. It was wonderfully warm inside and a very cozy atmosphere. Cappuccino and hot chocolate were super tasty!

You sit between the dunes and look straight at the sea. The service was extremely friendly and we had the "Holton" croquettes, which were delicious.

Overpriced for average quality. The staff was not really friendly. I had steak with ribs. The steak consisted of four bite sized pieces, the rest was spare ribs. The ribs were not tender. My wife had small sole fish which was chewy. We had similar meals at another beach restaurant close by the two evenings before for lower prices and much better quality and service.

Food is too expensive for the quality. There was a hair in the starter. A bottle of 15 euro wine is offered here for 40€. There will be no refills. All in all for 140€ for 2 people not enough for the price.

October '24 (photos): In any case, the beach is of course a beautiful place with wonderful views, whether the weather is nice or stormy. But what really makes it special is the delicious food and the incredibly good and friendly staff and service. Dec '24: In the week after Christmas we had a family lunch/drinks here with 21 people, including 9 children. Quite challenging to manage all that, but everything went smoothly and pleasantly: reservation, table location, high chairs, agreements regarding food intolerance, food for little ones and adults, nothing was a problem. Kudos from all guests to the kitchen brigade for the delicious food and the care taken with regard to dietary requirements, and to the service for your unflappable friendly, helpful and flexible approach, despite quite a bit of (pleasant) chaos every now and then. It was great, and we will definitely do this again!

In terms of price-quality ratio, it is very poor. Nowadays, for example, you pay almost 40 euros for silt soles, which is really too much for what you get. Staff is very professional and friendly. The restaurant has a luxurious atmosphere, although it is very noisy. In addition, the toilets are anything but luxurious and you can quickly slip through the sand.

We hebben heerlijk gegeten. Alles is met zorg klaar gemaakt en opgediend. Ontspannen sfeer en reuze leuk personeel. De alcoholvrije uitgeprobeerd, wijn was niet onze smaak, zowel wit als rood. Tot een volgende keer. We komen weer graag een keer van jullie kook kunsten genieten.

Mooie plek, super aardige bediening aangegeven om iets meer tijd tussen de gerechten nodig te hebben en dat was geen probleem. Het eten was echt super lekker! Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Had a private party with an extensive lunch. Very fresh sandwiches, extensive range and wonderful place to be. Dog welcome which was a godsend for us.

Wij hebben ons 60 jarig huwelijksjubileum bij Het Strand gevierd. Het was fantastisch. Zeer goed georganiseerd. Vriendelijke, deskundige en behulpzame bediening. Zeer uitgebreide koud, warm en dessert buffetten. de aparte ruimte was ideaal voor dit feest. Allemaal van jong tot oud erg genoten.

Bijzonder lekker diner two for one, met kalfsmuis in combinatie met parmaham, een verrukkelijke hertenbiefstuk in portsaus met rode kool en puree en een gevarieerde kaasplank. Complimenten.

Gisteravond genoten van de twee voor 1 diner. Was gezellig druk, personeel was super vriendelijk en het eten top. De locatie zelfs in het donker is zeer aangenaam, gezellige beachclub. En ook nog eens de eerste 2 uur gratis parkeren in de mooie Katwijkse parkeergarage. Oktober t/m maart, Het strand zit dus op een zeer klein stukje lopen.

Door de storm naar het strand waar we gereserveerd hadden voor Twie voor ien Het was de tweede keer al deze maand 🙈maar ook nu weer verrukkelijk,qua smaak👌maar ook qua opmaak en hele vriendelijke bediening 👍 We hebben het heel goed gehad !!

Wij hebben genoten van een heerlijk 3-gangen diner met verrukkelijke wijn, fijne ambiance en heel plezierige bediening.

We had a fantastic meal here. The dishes are very tasty and portions are generous. The wine list contains a wide choice from which we ordered a delicious wine. The atmosphere, on the other hand, did not match the quality of food they serve. The most disturbing are the two enormous TV screens that shout advertising messages and are annoyingly present. With a little more attention to the interior, eating here is a treat. We had to pay 200 euros (2ps), which is too much for the total picture.

Great cozy tent, nice staff, good food

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was quick and attentive, making us feel welcome right away. We ordered two meals from the daily menu - halibut and another fish dish, and both were absolutely excellent. The fries were a standout too, tasty and not greasy at all. To top it all off, we enjoyed a breathtaking view of the sunset, which made the evening even more memorable. A great place for a delicious meal with an amazing atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Nice menus, lots of choice in fish, large portions, great service, not cheap but more than worth it. Beautiful location, parking is easy in the parking garage just behind the restaurant. Reservations may be necessary on sunny days.

After the VTWONEN fair we drove to Katwijk aan Zee. The weather was beautiful. Had drinks and dinner at Het Strand. Delicious mussels, wonderful and friendly employees and a nice atmosphere. We highly recommend Het Strand!!

Heerlijk gegeten! De bediening is heel vriendelijk en je voelt de onderlinge vriendschappelijke sfeer onder de collega’s. Dit restaurant is echt een aanrader voor alle momenten van de dag.

Das Restaurant liegt direkt am Strand von Katwijk und punktet mit tollem Blick auf das Meer. Die Einrichtung ist ein Mix aus Strandbar und gehobenem Restaurant. Wer abends etwas essen möchte, sollte in jedem Fall vorher reservieren. Dafür reicht es aber aus, am Vormittag vorbeizugehen und Bescheid zu sagen. Das Essen ist hervorragend! Wir hatten das beste Thunfischsteak aller Zeiten - perfekter Garpunkt und tolle Beilagen. Auch der Lachs war on point. Die Getränke waren gut gekühlt und der Service klasse. Ziemlich hochpreisig, lohnt sich aber!

Zondag lunch, weer vooraf de drie oesters pp, mooi gepresenteerd en heerlijk, omdat ze vol, groot en heerlijk van smaak zijn. Biertje van de tap is een heerlijke Jopenbier. Daarna drie sliptongetjes, mooi gebakken sausje en friet met mayo ernaast en een frisse salade. De Enate in ons wijnglas past er perfect bij. Het personeel is zeer attent en vriendelijk. We zitten gezellig het is druk maar het de dames en heren van de bediening kunnen het makkelijk aan. Kortom ...'Top!'

Gingen hier naar toe na voorstelling Soldaat van Oranje om in de sfeer te blijven. Vriendelijke ontvangst, heerlijk gegeten in een ongedwongen atmosfeer. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Prima gegeten, sliptongetjes niet al te duur. Leuke bediening en geweldig uitzicht. Ook fijn dat er ruimte genoeg is en je niet op elkaars lip zit. We komen hier zeker terug.

We had dinner here with 2 people after a walk on the beach. The many good reviews are justified! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great and the staff was very helpful. The fish was very fresh and in terms of price-quality ratio it was also top. One of the few restaurants in the Netherlands that we are so pleased with. We will definitely come back!

Surprise. The toast was very tasty, warm ciabatta bread with cheese and cooked ham filling. Friendly staff and comfortable seating.

We had two salads and both were delicious. The location is very nice right on the beach. It is necessary to reserve early for a nice place outside. Spontaneously you only get a table for maybe an hour. That was the reason why there was only enough for a salad.
