Very good food, I really enjoy going there.

Had a private party with an extensive lunch. Very fresh sandwiches, extensive range and wonderful place to be. Dog welcome which was a godsend for us.

Great, whenever we come, busy or quiet. The food is always good.

Wij hebben ons 60 jarig huwelijksjubileum bij Het Strand gevierd. Het was fantastisch. Zeer goed georganiseerd. Vriendelijke, deskundige en behulpzame bediening. Zeer uitgebreide koud, warm en dessert buffetten. de aparte ruimte was ideaal voor dit feest. Allemaal van jong tot oud erg genoten.

Bijzonder lekker diner two for one, met kalfsmuis in combinatie met parmaham, een verrukkelijke hertenbiefstuk in portsaus met rode kool en puree en een gevarieerde kaasplank. Complimenten.

Gisteravond genoten van de twee voor 1 diner. Was gezellig druk, personeel was super vriendelijk en het eten top. De locatie zelfs in het donker is zeer aangenaam, gezellige beachclub. En ook nog eens de eerste 2 uur gratis parkeren in de mooie Katwijkse parkeergarage. Oktober t/m maart, Het strand zit dus op een zeer klein stukje lopen.

Door de storm naar het strand waar we gereserveerd hadden voor Twie voor ien Het was de tweede keer al deze maand 🙈maar ook nu weer verrukkelijk,qua smaak👌maar ook qua opmaak en hele vriendelijke bediening 👍 We hebben het heel goed gehad !!

Wij hebben genoten van een heerlijk 3-gangen diner met verrukkelijke wijn, fijne ambiance en heel plezierige bediening.

We had a great meal with our family and the great thing was that she switched flawlessly from NL to English so that our foreign family also felt seen. We'd love to come back! 💃

We had a fantastic meal here. The dishes are very tasty and portions are generous. The wine list contains a wide choice from which we ordered a delicious wine. The atmosphere, on the other hand, did not match the quality of food they serve. The most disturbing are the two enormous TV screens that shout advertising messages and are annoyingly present. With a little more attention to the interior, eating here is a treat. We had to pay 200 euros (2ps), which is too much for the total picture.

Great cozy tent, nice staff, good food

In any case, the beach is of course a beautiful place with a wonderful view, whether the weather is nice or stormy. But what really makes it special is the delicious food and the incredibly good and friendly staff and service. We always leave here happy!

Nice menus, lots of choice in fish, large portions, great service, not cheap but more than worth it. Beautiful location, parking is easy in the parking garage just behind the restaurant. Reservations may be necessary on sunny days.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was quick and attentive, making us feel welcome right away. We ordered two meals from the daily menu - halibut and another fish dish, and both were absolutely excellent. The fries were a standout too, tasty and not greasy at all. To top it all off, we enjoyed a breathtaking view of the sunset, which made the evening even more memorable. A great place for a delicious meal with an amazing atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

After the VTWONEN fair we drove to Katwijk aan Zee. The weather was beautiful. Had drinks and dinner at Het Strand. Delicious mussels, wonderful and friendly employees and a nice atmosphere. We highly recommend Het Strand!!

Heerlijk gegeten! De bediening is heel vriendelijk en je voelt de onderlinge vriendschappelijke sfeer onder de collega’s. Dit restaurant is echt een aanrader voor alle momenten van de dag.

Das Restaurant liegt direkt am Strand von Katwijk und punktet mit tollem Blick auf das Meer. Die Einrichtung ist ein Mix aus Strandbar und gehobenem Restaurant. Wer abends etwas essen möchte, sollte in jedem Fall vorher reservieren. Dafür reicht es aber aus, am Vormittag vorbeizugehen und Bescheid zu sagen. Das Essen ist hervorragend! Wir hatten das beste Thunfischsteak aller Zeiten - perfekter Garpunkt und tolle Beilagen. Auch der Lachs war on point. Die Getränke waren gut gekühlt und der Service klasse. Ziemlich hochpreisig, lohnt sich aber!

Prima gegeten, sliptongetjes niet al te duur. Leuke bediening en geweldig uitzicht. Ook fijn dat er ruimte genoeg is en je niet op elkaars lip zit. We komen hier zeker terug.

Zondag lunch, weer vooraf de drie oesters pp, mooi gepresenteerd en heerlijk, omdat ze vol, groot en heerlijk van smaak zijn. Biertje van de tap is een heerlijke Jopenbier. Daarna drie sliptongetjes, mooi gebakken sausje en friet met mayo ernaast en een frisse salade. De Enate in ons wijnglas past er perfect bij. Het personeel is zeer attent en vriendelijk. We zitten gezellig het is druk maar het de dames en heren van de bediening kunnen het makkelijk aan. Kortom ...'Top!'

Gingen hier naar toe na voorstelling Soldaat van Oranje om in de sfeer te blijven. Vriendelijke ontvangst, heerlijk gegeten in een ongedwongen atmosfeer. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

What a nice place this is. Sit outside or inside, it's all possible. Make sure to make a reservation because it is pleasantly busy here. Staff is friendly and the food is very tasty.

We had dinner here with 2 people after a walk on the beach. The many good reviews are justified! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great and the staff was very helpful. The fish was very fresh and in terms of price-quality ratio it was also top. One of the few restaurants in the Netherlands that we are so pleased with. We will definitely come back!

Surprise. The toast was very tasty, warm ciabatta bread with cheese and cooked ham filling. Friendly staff and comfortable seating.

We had two salads and both were delicious. The location is very nice right on the beach. It is necessary to reserve early for a nice place outside. Spontaneously you only get a table for maybe an hour. That was the reason why there was only enough for a salad.

Not great, but a great tent on the beach. I would not recommend the lobster, it is quite tough and contains too much garlic butter. Update: I actually didn't say this, because there was also a sharp piece of hard plastic in my food. Of course I reported this, and a new one was offered, but for me this was really not necessary. I had already eaten some bread with some butter and dip, so that would have been too much. The bread was very tasty by the way.

We ate and drank here 2 days in a row, the fish platter for 2, and the following day I ate the mussels "Spain"....a dream!!! Highly recommended, as a starter we shared the fish soup, which was also very tasty. Nicely rounded off when sitting on the terrace with a view of the beach and sea, a beautiful sunset and a cocktail. Super nice staff, recognized us and knew about drinks without ice.

We had a more than excellent meal last night, Spanish mussel pan, salmon, grain-fed Tournedos, everything was great!

I had a reception there and the service was perfect. Tasty snacks and nice staff. Also had lunch and dinner a few times. Very satisfied with service and food.

Fantastic restaurant to relax and enjoy your day. Varied and surprising menu, on which fish should of course not be missing. I had the tuna salad. Highly recommended. What is special is that the owner also brews his own beer under the name Schaep. Very tasty!

What a wonderful culinary experience! Although the name of this beach restaurant is not that original, namely 'The Beach', the rest certainly is. Even though it wasn't the nicest summer weather, this restaurant was completely full on Saturday evening. We had not made a reservation, but we were able to sit at one of the last tables. Our service was in the hands of Gertjan, a great person who knows his trade. The fact that he enjoys his work radiates to the guests and gave them a very welcome feeling. Even before we opened the menu, we knew we were in the right place here. To continue on the menu, what a choice. Fortunately, we were well advised and decided to order the filled tacos instead of a basket of bread. As a starter my wife and I both chose the tuna tataki and as a main course she chose the red risotto and I went for the surf and turf with bavette and shrimps. Well, they also know their trade in the kitchen. Very nice presentation, all fresh ingredients and great flavors. We enjoyed every bite. The wine advice given also matched the dishes perfectly. We finished with a cup of tea because unfortunately we had no room for dessert. In short, everything was great and it made sense that it was so busy on a cloudy evening. If you also hear the service using terms such as mise a place and debrassers, then you know that you are dealing with experienced catering staff. We spent a little more here than we usually would at a beach club, but we have to say it's worth it considering all of the above. We also heard that they became the best Beach Pavilion of South Holland 2024 and in our opinion that is more than justified. A nice crown on the efforts of this team, congratulations!

I went there for lunch on a sunny day, and I ordered a tuna steak salad with fries, my husband had a burger, and we were both delighted with the food, service and ambiance: the place is beautiful and each table has an umbrella, for when it's a bit too sunny, my tuna was done to perfection, and my husband's burger was also delicious. The waitresses were efficient and smiley. Highly recommended!

Usually, the food on the beaches is super average, but this one is really good! Even though it's too late for lunch and too early for dinner, they still make pretty solid snacks! The oysters were very big and tasty as well. Thank you.

Ok, so the prices are a bit on the high side, but the location is great and the atmosphere pleasant. One very nice thing about this place is that they have actual lemonade, like made out of lemons not canned, which is quite a rarity in the Netherlands. I'm showing a photo as proof.

A beautifully decorated restaurant with a view of the beach, the staff was very friendly, we were allowed in with our (well-behaved) dog and felt very welcome, the food was very expensive compared to German prices, but worth every cent in terms of quality. Someone else knows their cooking here! We were thrilled! My husband had spare ribs with steak and I had tournedos. Both dishes were accompanied by vegetables, and there were very tasty thick fries and a great, spicy salad with cubes of sheep's cheese as a side dish.

We read the reviews. Dissatisfied people have no place here! The service is very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent! The white wine is excellent and served chilled. The boss is very competent. We never had to wait! Everything perfectly organized. The tuna steak Asia is worth five stars. The atmosphere is very pleasant, sociable and quiet. We can warmly recommend the restaurant! A small minus point: Dogs shouldn't be allowed in the restaurant, they shake themselves out and that's extremely unhygienic in a restaurant. Otherwise everything is perfect!

We had a late lunch (~2 pm) on the back patio by the beach. The sun was out, the waiters were friendly, and the food was tasty. Yes, this place is expensive, but not unreasonable given the location. My husband had the sandwich with smoked salmon from Roots Fish Smokery (€17.75) and I had the vegan tikka masala (€22.75) which is technically on their dinner menu, but they said they could make it. We both enjoyed our meals, and the setting was very relaxing. They have umbrellas for each table you can use if it's too sunny too.

I went here for supper. When we entered no one greeted us though there were plenty of staff around. Eventually one attentive waiter saw to us. After the shakey start, the food turned out to be rather plesent. Seafood here is great and the ribs, though a bit tough, were tasty and accompanied by steak which turned out to be better than the main feature. Glad I came.

The whole experience was well, questionable. First we sat outside, it started raining and they barely let us in to eat even though we had food being soaked in the rain. After some bickering and telling them that we will leave they let us in to sit. Secondly, the waiters somehow couldn't get the orders right, for both food and drinks, even though we mostly ordered the same things, and lastly, our final check came up 50 euros higher than it should be. If we didn't review the check.... The only good thing here was the food (burgers). All of these were resolved in some way. But still the whole experience brought down the restaurant for us. If you don't speak much Dutch don't really try bothering in my opinion.

We had a very bad experience with this restaurant. Very poor service. They forgot to bring us many dishes (even after reminders), but kept bringing orders from another table. The bill included many things we did not order, we had to fight and explain ourselves to not pay. The food was VERY disappointing (don’t order the lasagna!!). The manager was very rude, especially towards non-Dutch speakers. Once our friend started speaking Dutch, we were treated very differently. Absolutely do not recommend !
