A beautiful, inviting location for drinks, lunch, or dinner for all ages. Reservations are often necessary as it gets quite busy. Service is polite and fast. When it's busy, it can get quite noisy, and there are places where you sit quite close together. The food is good but not exceptional.

A bit too much plastic. You'd expect a bit more wood or craftsmanship by the water.

Gisteren op uitnodiging van mijn ouders bij het Theehuis gedineerd. Vriendelijk geholpen en over het algemeen lekker gegeten. Mijn moeder had het gerecht Schol & Saus besteld waarvan op de menukaart staat dat het schol met ravigotte saus en gegrilde courgette betrof. De schol en courgette dreven echter in een olie achtige vloeistof. Daardoor was vis en courgette doordrenkt, slap en smakeloos. Toen mijn moeder dit aangaf was de reactie dat dat de saus was! Ravigotte saus ziet er toch echt heel anders uit. Jammer dat de opmerking niet serieus werd genomen.

Via ,via gehoord dat het hier goed vertoeven is . wilde eigenlijk zaterdag avond hier eten maar dit was niet mogelijk i.v.m. skutsezeilen . waren er nu zondag middag . eerst buiten lekker geborreld en om 18.30 naar bunnen om te dineren , beide kozen we voor de sliptong met garni . we hebben heerlijk gegeten ineen zeer ontspannen restaurant . de bediening was zeer attent en had de gang er goed in , we komen zeker weer terug

Gezellige lunch met familie en heerlijk gegeten. Het restaurant was druk en sfeervol. Vriendelijk een deskundig personeel.

Beautiful view over the marina on the pikmeer. Very friendly service but the lunch was mediocre. The luxury rolls had clearly been made before (cold and somewhat soggy).

A while ago my friend and I ordered a carpaccio sandwich and an egg roll. The carpaccio sandwich was completely drowned in the truffle mayonnaise and the bouncer was already cold before the knife was inserted. Very unfortunate. We also discussed this immediately with the waitress in question, but she did nothing further. Have duly paid the full amount. They won't see us again anytime soon🫡

Nice cup of coffee on a beautiful terrace with a view over the marina. Or enjoy a nice meal with surf and turf, stew, poke bowl and cod.

Gezellig en hartelijk ontvangst bij aankomst. Tafels gezellig gedekt Voor de kinderen was vermaak geregeld, waardoor alles heel ongedwongen was. Het eten was heerlijk. 🎉

Unfortunately no disabled places

The family had a choice 3 course dinner. The cook had made me a customized 3-course dinner, free of gluten (due to celiac disease), celery and hazelnuts. There was gluten free bread. They had set up a gluten-free fryer especially for me for the fries. Friendly staff with knowledge about gluten-free cooking. I have had no complaints. The pepper soup, sea bass with fries and homemade mayonnaise and yoghurt amarena dessert were delicious. This restaurant is highly recommended!

Gezellig avond met 9 mensen. Prima keuzemenu die vooraf met het Theehuis was afgesproken. Voorgerechten waren heel goed net zo als de hoofdgerechten. Iedereen was tevreden. Bediening was goed, vriendelijk en correct opgeleid. Prima!

Unfortunately I can't recommend this place because wasp traps are set up in the beer garden and you have to watch as hundreds of wasps die. Just disgusting🤮

Drank cappucino and coffee. Cappucino actually too strong, breakfast very tasty, apple pie okay, but this place is certainly also about the location with a lovely terrace - also with lounge sofas - on the Pikmeer. Cosy, nice view of the jetties with boats and the Princess Margriet Canal, so there's always a buzz. Smooth and friendly service.

The teahouse board and the bear tea are definitely recommended!

We hebben gereserveerd voor binnen, voor buiten kan dat niet, maar indien er plek is op terras, word je een plek aangewezen. We zien dat er veel mensen "spontaan" aanwaaien, de rij bij de ingang. Mensen hebben geduld, wachten wel op bankje bij het water. Dit is de eerste keer dat we hier eten. We hebben lekker gegeten, hoefden niet lang te wachten. Ook de bijgerechten , warme groente, salade en friet is prima. Wordt door jong en oud bezocht. Gezellig druk. Er worden kleurplaten+potloden aan kinderen uitgedeeld.

Waiting for fifteen minutes. 1 employee was very busy with administrative duties. My colleague will be with you shortly... Well not. They look at you but can't say hello. I understand it's busy. But there was plenty of room. But apparently you can't find a place here yourself.

Ate here yesterday, having been here before a few years ago. We had a nice meal then, but this time it was a little different. I'll start with the positive, which is that the staff was friendly and helpful. Furthermore, the fish soup was really tasty. Then we got to the main course, the surf and turf. This was quite disappointing to us. The sauce with the beef was very mild and the three prawns on a skewer were only salted. The formatting was also very poor. We also received a bowl of vegetables, but this was done very sloppily. It looked like a carrot had simply been cut into three pieces; the green end was still attached to the root and the whole thing was much too coarse. We really didn't like this. The potatoes tasted a lot like turmeric in my opinion, but the rest of the food, apart from the soup, was very bland. We indicated this to the waitress. She took the feedback very well and was very sweet and polite.

Mooie locatie maar eten is matig: knisperkip salade is sla met paar macnuggets en droog. De zalm en meer salade is geen salade maar wat je op brood smeert ( wat er niet bij zat dus van de andere salade erbij gepakt en er zat ook geen sla bij). Slecht....jammerrrr

Smooth service despite the crowds.

Lang wachten voor dat je wordt opgemerkt, bij de wacht plaats om door gast vrouw/ heer naar je plekje toe gewezen worden, zelf personeel geeft geen kik , lijk mij laat even weten dat je gezien worden en zeg even komt iemand zo bij je , zelf maar door gelopen en aan bediening vragen voor een plekje , afijn na wachten vriendelijk gastvrouw ons plekje toe gewezen, Bediening verder vriendelijk, eten is matig is toch beetje erg commercieel tent , en wat raar is dat er ook een beveiliging rond loopt of je een crimineel bent of zo hele raar vertoning dit , dit verwacht je in Randstad in de supermarkt of een kledingzaak , ivm winkel diefstal , geen leuk gevoel . Lokatie is wel top ze moeten het van de toeristen hebben denk ik . We geven het een cijfer 6

Fantastic place to eat. In addition, "Het Theehuis" is also a real phenomenon in Grou and the surrounding area. Reasons often mentioned for going here are; 1. The location that is exceptionally beautiful and offers a view over the lake. 2. You can eat and drink deliciously there. 3. Due to its location on the lake, there is often a commotion of boat people around the terrace. This keeps the meal nice and interactive, even if you are alone or the person opposite is very quiet. 😉

Nice atmospheric and cozy place to sit. Both inside and outside.

We were able to hold a super fun baby shower for our group. The table was nicely decorated and the food was delicious! The location is absolutely beautiful with nice weather at the harbor.

Komen hier 1 x per jaar Vanwege de afstand. Maar personeel is hier nog steeds heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam Zelfs even een lijntje aanpakken bij he afmeren is ze niet teveel. Pefecte service houden zo.

As soon as we are in Friesland and have a boat at our disposal, this TOP location is a sure stopover. There is a nice atmosphere and the food is simply good 👌 There are also plenty of good beers on the menu. You can simply moor the boat in front of the door in the parking docks and refueling is also an option. If you are in the area, be sure to drop by.

We did not feel welcome due to the unfriendliness of the staff, but things got better later.

Na een heerlijke dag varen wilde wij graag dineren bij Theehuis Grou. Bij het bestellen van onze entrecote werd er gevraagd of we hem medium wilden, dat wilden we. Toen het eten geserveerd werd was het vlees helemaal doorgebakken, teruggestuurd en teruggekregen nogsteeds doorgebakken. Hierna werd ons pas verteld dat het vlees niet “medium gebakken” kon worden. Hierna besloten geen diner meer te bestellen. Veder waren de bijgerechten en poke bowl wel goed! Hierna zagen wij onze bediende tegen 3 verschillende collega’s over ons praten, met wijzen en lachen. Wij voelden ons niet gerespecteerd. Wij hopen dat de manager dit goed oppakt en bespreekt met de desbetreffende bediende. Desserts waren goed, al werd de ijskoffie meegenomen terwijl die nog niet op was. Vriendelijke Groeten.

The Theehuis in Grou has been a great restaurant for years. After the reconstruction with more places and new impulses. Always well attended, delicious food, very good selection of drinks. The price is ok for me. Great view of the water, lots of maritime flair. The iced coffee was a bit too sweet for me, more like a creamy ice cream sundae. Next time there will be a different variant or a delicious cocktail. Let's see...

Beautiful modern location on the water. Good menu, nice cocktails. Real holiday atmosphere. Take your parking disc with you because of blue zone parking. Walking distance to the center. Suitable for breakfast, drinks, lunch and dinner.

Located directly on the pedestrian harbor of Grou, in addition to the delicious dishes and drinks, it also offers a fantastic view of the harbor and water life. Only recommended...

Just dropped in for lunch. Had a delicious club sandwich and an iced coffee afterwards. Everything was well taken care of, tasted good and friendly service, it didn't matter who it was. The dog was also welcome and given a bowl of water. I recommend the tea house, next time I will try something different from the otherwise extensive menu

Awesome! Pleasant service. Both in the sun and out of the sun you can sit comfortably. And then the food. Very well! The loaded nachos were so full of filling that you didn't have enough chips to eat them. The wine was delicious too! We are from Amsterdam and Alkmaar, but we will definitely come back here :)

Mooie locatie, vriendelijke bediening. Ging redelijk vlot. Salade rijst, mango, avocado zalm viel erg tegen. Veel rijst en saus, aparte smaken niet meer herkenbaar. Minimale stukjes mango en avocado. Anderhalve eetlepel zalm. Niet restaurant waardig, jammer. Verder alles prima.

Nice location on the water. Was there for the first time so could be an incident. Food quality was disappointing. Not hot with sloppy fries. Was very busy. Next time walk to the village. There is also plenty to find.

Service was good. 'Salmon oriental' starter was tasty. Both slip tongues were tough. Already baked this morning???

The lunch was very tasty, but the sandwich was a bit poor. No salad next to the sandwich and not very generously filled. The fries with stew were tasty and generously filled. You really don't have to come here for the service. They look at you and don't ask if you want to order anything else. Empty glasses and cups of coffee remained on the table until we left. When we got up to leave, we were asked if we wanted to order anything. We were not greeted when we came in or when we left.

As water sports enthusiasts, we come here often, both for lunch and dinner. The location directly on the Pikmeer is beautiful, especially if you can sit on the terrace by the water. It can be very busy in the Tea House and then it is noisy and the waiting times quickly increase. The menu includes both classic and more imaginative dishes. The quality is certainly not bad, but it is not really above average either. And the prices are reasonable.

Spacious restaurant with a wide selection. Good place for coffee, drinks, lunch. Informal atmosphere. No experience with dinner. Large beer selection and varied lunch menu. You can sit there and look around, there is a pleasant outdoor terrace with a view and shelter. Friendly service. What we ordered tasted good. Parking a little further away.

I had made a reservation, but when I arrived 2 tables were quickly pushed together. When I thought something of that I had a half gasp and she said, just have a drink here and if there is room on the terrace I will call you. That also happened. The food consisted of 4 lunch dishes and they were substandard. Yes, fortunately the location is nice.

Lovely place on the water. If you can sit by the window, do it! And when the weather is nice, be sure to grab an outside terrace. Changing card. The last time we took i.o. a tasting of 4 starters instead of 1 main course. I can say it was delicious.

I only had tea there with an admittedly fantastic slice of lemon/cheese pie. Recommended. Good staff too and all in a nice location. Especially in the high season, it will be too busy for me.
