We came here as a family for Indian food. Normally, I don't like Indian food in restaurants in the Netherlands because the taste is always disappointing. My experience at this restaurant confirmed my thoughts. The food was absolutely terrible. The restaurant's concept is very good, with a wide variety of dishes and included drinks (unlimited lemonade is always a good thing). However, the quality of the food was truly awful; it had no flavor and barely any spices. The chicken wings were even still raw... Besides the poor food, the atmosphere was good, with a live band, and the service was good.

The rice was dry and plain, completely flavorless. The butter chicken tasted like pure tomato sauce, absolutely inedible. The raita was way too salty. The biryani didn't taste like biryani, but you get yellow rice?? I always order from somewhere else, which is tasty. I thought I'd give this one a try, but I regretted it, and it was the last time I went. I really don't recommend it; it's a waste of money.

Owner only thinks about money. And it is very unhygienic there, especially the toilet!

It was delicious and had a bit of everything. Also suitable for vegans.

They have Indian buffet but food is localised and not authentic Indian. Not worth a second visit.

The food was excellent. Better than you'd expect from a buffet. Definitely worth going back. Nice atmosphere with live music. Friendly staff.

Delicious food and awesome music .

We ate while someone was celebrating a birthday with 25 people. It's perfectly fine here ;-) The food was okay, but nothing special. There could have been more vegetables, and the desserts lacked substance. The staff were very friendly, though.

The food was delicious. You can tell they've put a lot of care into it. I think it's worth the wait if the food is good.

I come here regularly. The food is good. The tableware could be better, they use paper cups for Indian tea. That doesn't look good. Just use real tableware. For the time being I won't go there anymore, because there is a sewer smell, not so tasty when you go out to eat.

Disappointing experience - definitely not recommended. Where is the - star? Visited today with my husband, but what a disappointment! From the moment we entered, it started badly. When I entered the hall I had to go to the toilet, but one of the toilets had a broken lock. Very unhygienic and unprofessional. Once upstairs in the restaurant it felt like we had ended up in a community center. The concept was "All You Can Eat", but that was nowhere to be found. Only one bar/table of the buffet was filled, and the other bar/table only contained some sauces, salad, kheer and custard. For a total price of €69 I expected much more. Too little for what we paid. I can easily prepare a better Indian meal at home. There was not even Gulab Jamun. What was really strange: this is supposed to be an Indian restaurant, but they also served doksa and nasi. Why eat Surinamese food in an Indian restaurant? It feels like they have no clear identity. The atmosphere, quality and food were absolutely below par. The price-quality ratio was ridiculously bad. This restaurant lacks allure and food. Unfortunately, we didn't eat much because of the limited choice. Absolutely not recommended!!!

Great food, atmosphere not so great but the food really makes up for a lot!

Celebrated my hubby's birthday there, it was super fresh and tasty, enough variety.

I thought it was a dining room instead of a restaurant, life music was much louder so that no conversation was possible at the table, once but not again

With 9 people and no one was satisfied, little choice what was there, was just not tasty. Butter chicken my fav on the inner road and in India, was sour, chicken was so so, fish was the best. And that music was terribly loud. Too bad, luckily it is not expensive, but was a big disappointment.

We had dinner there on a Saturday evening. Food is tasty, cozy atmosphere with beautiful live music and the staff is friendly. There are no areas for improvement. Very suitable for large groups and celebrating birthdays. You don't even have to rent the entire space! Recommended!

The atmosphere was okay. The buffet included a mix of fresh & non-fresh items. Chicken tandoori was not prepared properly.

The location is perfect, the food has an Indian taste but not really what you would expect. Too little flavor. The kitchen is open and the chefs are friendly, the complement of the ongoing buffet is also good. The service is less, you get a can to drink from instead of a glass. Owner or manager sits/hangs at the bar instead of serving his guests or supporting the only clerk. The live music creates a good atmosphere on Saturday evening. Important item, the toilets are/were clean and fresh. The price is reasonable for what you get.

I have ordered from here several times now, always satisfied! Food is delicious, hot and on time :) Eating delicious birjani again soon (don't know if I'm spelling it right haha)

Went for the first time yesterday. The food was very tasty, various types of rice, 4 types of chicken and fish. Vegan options were also tasty. We also had live music. Very beautiful songs were sung. Definitely recommended and we will be back.

Delicious food. It's a shame that when you pick up a portion of nasie or noodles you only get 2 pieces of chicken... very unfortunate. Because the price is higher than most eateries where you get enough meat with your portion. But tasty. 😋

Slightly more variety in dessert, but the live music made up for this somewhat. A bottle of hand disinfection at the entrance/exit would not be an unnecessary luxury.

Have eaten here a few times, everything is delicious! The Vindaloo is highly recommended, very spicy but you just keep eating! The Rotis here are nice and dark (whole wheat I think). Chicken Curry, Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala, all great. Sweet dishes are also good: Mango Lassi, Kheer and Khulfi ice cream. I will definitely come back soon.

Palak paneer- half paneer half tomato. Before was only cheese, now portion is much smaller. Mix grill- not accepted. Naan- too soft. Very disapointed because I ordered from this restaurant a lot of times before. Something changed, Unfortunetly for bad.

Extremely salty food, samosa is rotten n no naan or roti in buffet, plz taste ur food.

Today I visited with my friends for Saturday buffet. It is 24.95 eur person with vegetarian, curries, non vegetarian dishes, naan, samosa, salad and few desserts. It is a decent and also reasonable one. I really liked naan and butter chicken. I enjoyed today band music.

Food was cold and too much salt. Service was also bad. They can do more about the quality of their food and service.

I really liked the food, good taste. Fish, among other things, is definitely recommended here. Some dishes were cold. The cappuccino and late macchiato were watery. Cocktail and spirits were great! The restaurant is clean and spacious, but quite bare, perhaps add a few large plants or decoration as a tip. Live music was fine. Staff friendly and helpful. Last hour there was a sewage smell from downstairs to upstairs. That just can not be!! Very disappointing, hopefully resolved soon! Easily accessible, there is free parking opposite the restaurant in the residential area.

It was extremely cold in the restaurant!!! I then reported it to the manager, and they said "it's also cold outside (1 degree) so maybe that's why" I didn't want to have any further discussion. However, there were still a lot of people wearing coats. We had made a reservation for 2am, but we left because it was too cold to sit.

We were there on Friday and there was a buffet that you could take. All very tasty... if you like Indian, that is.

I went here with my mother and we enjoyed it, it's a shame there was no live music, we would have liked to experience that. the buffet was sufficient for us, all dishes tasted very delicious, especially the red chicken with tomato sauce, really great! The dessert gulab jamun was also really tasty with ice cream. Staff were also friendly. We will come back here more often.

You pay little for the buffet and therefore the choice is limited, but it is tasty. The atmosphere and decoration could be better. Sometimes there is live music.

It would be great if the food test good salt, not over salted. Almost in every dish salt taste more. For the price of buffet India bread should be included. Very important hygiene, its not at all hygienic place, you will see staff cleaning cutlery in front of you with unhygienic cloth, bad smell start from entrance. Washroom very dirty and not clean at all. I hope owner will rectify all above mention points as a customer.

Enige minpunt is dat de medewerkers, minimaal 1, uitgebreid aan het kijken zijn tijdens het opscheppen van eten. Dit stoorde me.

Weekend live indian music and buffet is a very unique experience. It was great to see a lot of people having a great time dancing and singing to the live music (mostly old classic hits in Hindi) We enjoyed the Aloo Samosas with mint chutney and Tamarind chutney. Chicken biriyani Jeera rice Butter chicken Tandoori chicken fry Chili Fish ( a bit too salty) but nice Garlic Naan Kheer The owner of the restaurant and all the staff are very quick with service and friendly.

Na zelf jaren in India te hebben gewoond, kan ik gerust zeggen dat de smaak van India nergens in Nederland zo goed terug komt als bij Highway Restaurant. Een hemelse smaakbelevenis, gecombineerd met prachtige live muziek, zorgt ervoor dat ik hier wekelijks terugkom. Wie aan indisch eten denkt, denkt aan Highway Restaurant 🇮🇳

De muziek had wel iets minder hard gekund maar het eten en de bediening was goed. Het proberen waard.

Aangenaam verrast, het eten is heerlijk, ondanks dat ik niet echt van Indiaans eten houd. We hebben met een grote groep gegeten. De sfeer is heel warm en gezellig. Een zanger die live optreedt maakt het helemaal af. Wij hebben het heel erg naar ons zin gehad hier. Het personeel is vriendelijk. De eigenaar is erg vriendelijk en maakt een praatje. Wij komen hier zeker terug! Bedankt voor de gezellige avond allemaal!

Food was good service is best and the live music was awesome

Atmosphere was good with good indian music, food variety according to a buffet was not much. Roti you have to buy separately that was very disappointing.

Eten was koud en het was niet veel keuze.moet entree betalen en bij vertrekken dan pas drinken betalen. Drinken is erg duur glas bier kost 4.49 euro cola 2 95 euro. Muziek erg hard.

Gisteren hier voor het eerst gegeten. We zijn oprecht zeer blij verrast. Het lopend buffet was uitgebreid en erg lekker. De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is meer dan goed. De sfeer (live muziek) en service was ook uitstekend. We komen binnenkort zeker terug.

Gezellig 'weg restaurant'. Noord Indiase keuken was redelijk tot goed. Genoeg variantie voor vega en niet-vega. En in het weekend hebben ze live muziek. Leuke sfeer. Ze bouwen een feestje. Alleen staat de muziek erg hard. Dat was minder. En de WC staat helaas beneden. Maak er dus meteen gebruik van als je komt en als je gaat.

Serviable but the buffet needs to be improved

Gezellige Indian restaurant met life muziek. Heerlijk eten!

Went with hesitant on seeing the reviews from schiedam around 20km. But everything was quite good. Buffet was around 22 euro, had enough varieties. Bread should have been there in buffet, but rather than that everything was smooth. Mutton was too good. We paid the price upon entering, had the food at our convenience. Even we requested other table, the person was quite good and asked to take any table we need. Overall good

We hebben genoten van het buffet. Er was een ruime keuze en het was erg lekker. Het restaurant heeft een gezellige sfeer. Het personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. In het weekend is er live muziek. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Deze keer van het lopend buffet gebruik gemaakt. En hier door dingen gegeten die je niet zo gauw zou kiezen om dat je ze niet kent. Maar na het proeven van al dit lekkers ben ik om.. Of te wel absoluut weer heerlijk gegeten en een fijne bediening.

Het is heel gezellig met lekker live muziek. Het is zeker een aanrader

Drinks super expensive €14 Gin with Tonic for example. Buffet had good grilled meat but the other options were disapointing with totally dried out Biryani, Gulab Jamun from a can (yes you can taste that) and with most of the gravy's they had added water to make it look like more. Especially the vegetarian buffet options were below average and tasteless. Go to any other Indian restaurant in Rotterdam and you'll get better quality.

Voor de 1e keer geweest, echt prima. Ook de prijs kwaliteit verhouding is heel goed, personeel is heel klantvriendelijk en behulpzaam. Deze keer was er live muziek en dat was heel gezellig. voor de mensen die slecht ter been zijn is er een traplift. Klein minpunt is dat de heren toilet de hele avond gesloten was, je kon alleen plassen. Verder geen opmerkingen, ik ben voornemens om nog een keer te gaan.

Voor het eerst wezen dineren (lopend buffet) Ontzettend goed bevallen, lekker eten. Kon van alles proeven. Vriendelijk personeel. Complimenten aan de kok. Gezellige sfeer, life band met heerlijke bekende Indiaas nummers. Super leuk om je verjaardag te vieren. Prijs is maar €20, p.p Wij komen zeer zeker vaker dineren. Dankjewel Highway! Helen. Heerlijk gegeten vanavond bij het lopend buffet. Vooral de Butter chicken en Chicken biryani een aanrader! Super kwaliteit en zeer vriendelijk personeel. Zal zeker weer eens langskomen!

Ik geef jullie echt een waardering,hoe jullie ook met klanten omgaan.Heerlijk eten echt perfect, wij komen zekers voor de tweede keer hoor. 1,5 maand geleden geweest om te eten,de sfeer is zo leuk met muziek, alsof je in een Dubai of India restaurant zit te eten. 1 woord heerlijkkkkkk.
