This restaurant is the best Japanese food I have ever tried

Nice restaurant. I particularly liked the industry style. Ramen was good but nothing special. Service was top. The spiciness is very much adapted to the European palate, but that's what it says on the menu. Would eat here again.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but the service at Ramen Shop Hinata was so unacceptable that I felt compelled to share my experience. We arrived and were told the restaurant was full but that we could wait 10 minutes for a table to free up. We patiently waited outside, and after just 5 minutes, a table became available. However, instead of seating us, the staff gave the table to another couple who arrived after us. To make matters worse, the staff member then came outside and asked if we’d like to share the table with them. This blatant disregard for the waitlist we had signed and the lack of proper organization was incredibly frustrating. I generally avoid writing reviews like this, but their poor management and unprofessional behavior left us no choice. We will never return to this restaurant, as it’s clear the staff does not know how to manage their customers fairly.

Beautiful shop, you can find anything and everything... I also wanted to eat ramen but.... super long line... another time!

Very overpriced. Toppings: 2 tiny pieces of tofu and some spinach and 1pc baby corn. Had to pay €1,50 to add an egg. Making it €20 for a very underwhelming bowl of ramen..

As a regular customer of Hinata, I would like to comment my last dinner few days ago, Wednesday 11. I was very much left of the service , a bottle of water 7 euro, a glass of an organic red wine in the glass of water , I was surprised. Also a few comments about the two girls working this evening that were really unfriendly especially one of them with a gray sweatshirt , she came to the table without even looking you in the face and give you a smile or ask you how was the dish , in short it changed my evening not positively give a little more respect to those who spend money in your place.

Ramen and service is good, but regarding drinks, I have never been served a cup of tea with five tea leaves for 4.5 euros 😭😂

For the second time I come and the ramen was very bland. I asked which ramen has a really good chicken flavor with a strong broth flavor. This one was also disappointing. I'm not coming anymore.

Stumbled across this place when it was super cold in Amsterdam and wanted a nice noodle broth to warm me up. This is such a lovely little place with some beautiful authentic food, I loved the gyozas and the miso ramen! This is a great little spot if you’re vegan, could not recommend enough:)

The restaurant is quite small and when we went, it was very crowded (Saturday night to be fair). The food was delicious though, worth the wait for the table (they don’t take reservations)! We had the chicken gyozas - tasty and crunchy, the fried chicken - melted in our mouths, and the miso classic ramen - simply delicious! So, despite being a bit tight and loud, the food made it worth all.

Great place! Not a huge menu, but great selection and options for vegetarians too. Cocktails were a bit weak, but the food made up for it.

Tasty ramen but not the cheapest and lacking some depth to the broth but still hit the spot. Chicken karaage was very good too.

Good ramen, served quickly and very pleasant staff. It's not necessarily something you absolutely have to do, but you won't be disappointed with your visit.

One of the worst ramen I ever had in-fact I didn’t even have it , couldn’t eat it because the broth is not broth it’s a paste, no flavor , save your money find better ramen place..

Disappointed by the shoyu broth, the warm sake and the food quantity. Many ramen places in Amsterdam have much more to offer.

Vegan ramen was pretty poor, dressings and veggies are very basic, with raw spinach and very few things. I took 2 euro of extra tofu to receive in total with the non extra 4 pieces of tofu, I find it pretty little, considering there were already basically as veggie only spinach. broth was not bad, I took the miso ramen, but then again, miso is just good by itself. sake not so good as well. so in total not so bad but I def wont be back in this place. Ramen choice in amsterdam is much and this def doesnt go close to one of the best.

Vegetarians beware. Miso ramen is basically a thick sauce with noodles on top, manager was rude when we said this isn’t ramen, shoyu isn’t good either , for the price go to better place.

Not worth a visit. Donburi was extremely disappointing, just rice and oily tofu on top for 17€. Shrimp starter was a joke as well. Only the curry was ok. I don’t recommend this place, not authentic and too expensive for what it is. We needed to wait for an hour to be seated.

Went to the place, no seating. The staff asked to write our name down and come back after 15 min, so we did. After we came back, the seat was given away because apparently they call out your name, if you're not there, they will give away the seat. The vegetarian ramen was not tasty at all. I did like the katsu curry. The matcha tiramisu was nice.

We have been here before and it remains one of the better ramen places. Everything in terms of food here is delicious and well prepared. The cocktails are delicious (especially the tokyo mule!). Service is very friendly

We had the veggie gyoza and some chicken spicy ramen. The food was OK, but I wouldn't queue to eat there - soup was a bit bland and lacked the depth of flavour.

Ramen was ok, the char siu was very dry, broth was not flavorful. They don’t have air con indoor so very hot during the afternoon. In general not worth the price.

Many people have tried authentic Japanese ramen. Unfortunately this isn't even close. For some reason Amsterdam struggles to find good decent genuine ramen. This might scratch an itch but you'll find yourself left disappointed.

I was very satisfied with my visit to a ramen restaurant in the Netherlands. The food was excellent – ​​rich, tasty and prepared with great attention to detail. I was particularly impressed by the variety of dishes, which all had a wonderful creaminess thanks to the use of ramen, without being too heavy. The service was also very good. The staff was friendly, attentive and always ready to accommodate special requests. It was served professionally and with a smile which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The ambience of the restaurant was also very good. The furnishings were stylish, comfortable and invited you to linger. There was a relaxed atmosphere that was perfect for enjoying the delicious food. Overall, I can only recommend the ramen restaurant. Anyone looking for high-quality cuisine in a pleasant environment will not be disappointed here.

Good ramen, good fried chicken. While the staff in the bar seems very busy. When I order the juice, I got a cloudy glass without any ice. And I saw her directly cut the lemon without washing hands after writing something. Not clean.

The ramens are delicious as well as the takoyakis and onigiris that we had!

Very good experience with a very good choice of food and drinks. I wasn't to similar restaurants before, but this was still a very good choice.

I went there for a quick lunch with my husband and my son today. We asked if we could put two table (small table of 70cm x70cm) so we can sit together and the waitress told us no we have to sit in one table with three of us. There was nobody in the restaurant except one table. What happened to the hospitality? We walked out. And I saw the ramen somebody was eating at an outside table and it looked horrible. I know ramens coming from Japan. The ramen I saw has nothing to do with a real ramen. So actually it was good that we walked out because of a rude waitress. Instead we found a very nice cafe nearby where people were kind and food was great.

Ramen was ok, not worth the price. Also the „toast“ was a…. I don’t even known what to say… you really charge money for these 4 little pieces of „toast“ ??? The outside seating is okay, better than the most restaurants at least. Wouldn’t not visit again

Although probably most people here would go for the ramen they also have some really interesting lesser known Japanese dishes. I would definitely recommend the chicken katsu curry rice for that matter. Read somewhere that it was actually the British that brought their own Indian adaptation of this dish to Japan. Very tasty and full of history.

Excellent Ramen as we are being attracted to the restaurant by the SMELL when passed by after eating the Applepie at Winkel 43.

Fantastic Ramen, one of the best I’ve ever had. The broth was flavourful without being too salty, the meat was beyond tender and the egg was perfectly cooked.

The place is ok, it’s not must-visit. Ramen is good, but not extraordinary. There are some interesting menu options, such as rice dishes, curries and snacks. So if you don’t like ramen you can still find many things to choose from. Alcohol free beverages are overpriced, but I can recommend their home made lemonade.

The best katsu curry I have ever tasted so far! I would definitely come back to discover the other specialties on the menu, each of which looked better than the last! Especially the spicy ramen which seemed perfect! And importantly, half of their menu is completely vegan and the staff are adorable!

### Review of Inigiri Takeout I recently ordered takeout from Inigiri, where you must order a minimum of two items. I opted for the tuna and mayo as well as the pork chashu. Each item is made to order, ensuring incredible freshness. The flavors were amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. This is a must-try for anyone looking for fresh and delicious takeout options.

We started with veg gyoza as the chicken wasn't available, and it was great. The waitress suggested the fried chicken, which was also very tasty. The white ramen was very good with a soft egg and buttery pork slices. The spicy ramen was good, but i would get more spice next time. For dessert, we had the mochi and matcha tiramisù. I liked the mochi but wouldn't recommend the tiramisù as it was lacking enough cream and liquid to fully saturate the cookie. Our coctail was a tokyo mule, a very good ginger drink even as a non drinker normally. Overall, 4/5

Small cute place with amazing Ramen. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, the ramen does not resemble authentic, Japanese ramen. Having eaten ramen countless times both in- and outside of Japan, this was the most disappointing broth so far. Our polite request to cancel the bill for the ramen was refused, while we refrained from eating after tasting it. The waitress was kind, but could only deduct a drink (3,50) from the final charge. We do not recommend the place if you are seeking for a proper bowl of ramen - you will get more satisfaction from eating instant noodles at home. FYI we tried the classic Shoyu and classic Miso ramen. The karaage was fine

Simple restaurant with tasty food.

Very annoying people. Asked for coffee. They don't have them. We had to take something because we used the toilet. Tea for 4.50 euros. Not tasty. Never come there again. You have to present coffee at 2 to 3 or 4 o'clock.

Five star service and atmosphere. Three star ramen… it was very bland and flavorless in comparison to other ramen spots in Amsterdam. This may be because we ordered veggie miso ramen, but still… Pretty disappointed with the lack of flavors. Everything else about the restaurant is great.

Unfortunately, we had such a disappointing experience. After hearing promising stories and reading good reviews we couldn't wait to try Hinata. The starter, takoyaki was good. One of us ordered the special ramen, Hinata White. After the first sip it was clear that something was really off with the broth. We communicated this directly with the staff and the waitress simply laughed and said 'ok'. We waited for her to communicate this with the kitchen and left my plate on the table. After making several times eye contact, the waitress ignored us and I had to ask specifically if I could swap my ramen. She laughed again and said this is not possible. She did not ask me if I wanted to order anything else and left the plate on our table. I simply had to watch my friend eat. They never checked on our table again or checked what was wrong with my food. I'm a local, and I would advise anybody to not go here.

While exploring Amsterdam, we stumbled upon a delightful surprise. The ramen here is exceptional, with a flavourful broth that's not overly salty. It's the kind of comfort food that warms your soul in cold weather. One dish you absolutely shouldn't miss is their Karaage. It's out of this world! Perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, it's the kind of dish that lingers in your memory long after you've finished eating. We've been daydreaming about it ever since.

The blonde girl that served me yesterday was super nice. The ramen was great as was the mochi. I went here because my usual place I go to (you will know it if you know ramen in Amsterdam) was closed. It was a nice suprise and seemed authentic as I over heard some Japanese people talking. Next visit I will compare it with my usual place and update the review to 5 stars if it matches and remains consistent. Also need to try the other type of base with the non spicy one.

Interesting ramen restaurant in Amsterdam. We tried spicy karashoyu ramen and takoyaki. Ramen was ok. Not the best one, not the worst one. However, please be advised that the spicy ramen is spicy, but not hot. They use togarashi as spice, no chilli at all. This got me a bit confused, cause I was used to hot karai ramens from Tokyo and was looking forward to one. 🙂 Takoyaki was nice. The place is really small, I suggest you come right after opening (as did we) or make a reservation.

Great restaurant, the dishes have lots of taste without being too spicy. The atmosphere of the place is modern, and changes from classic Chinese restaurants, which are often too kitsch. I highly recommend. The welcome is very friendly.

A very good experience. The ramen has a lot of flavor. The level of spice in the dishes is very well balanced for the palate accustomed to classic European gastronomy. The service is attentive.

Very nice place but the dishes lacked flavor. The ramen didn't have much taste, the ravioli the same and even the edamame...

This was an amazing place. Really busy but they squeezed us in. The food was incredible but more than that the atmosphere was buzzing. The staff/owner were so helpful and friendly and gave us good tips for places bars to visit. It was our first night in Amsterdam and was a fantastic start

I didn't like the ramen soup, and my guest neither. Too salty and not much vegetables. Even with the shared chicken spinach dish it was not satisfying for both of us.
