Hippie Fish in Buitengebied

I don't recommend it. Unfortunately, yesterday at 4:20 PM, we were told there was no room and they weren't letting new guests in, even though it was empty and full of empty seats! Maybe we didn't look like influencers, that's why they segregated guests right at the entrance! I don't recommend it!

I had a fantastic birthday there. The atmosphere is amazing 😍 The food and drinks were delicious. Great service, everything was fantastic.

Delicious lunch on the beach !!

It is a rather expensive restaurant located right on the beach in Zanvoort. The location is quite crowded considering that it is the middle of the summer season. The variety of dishes is limited but they are tasty.

Friendly staff, delicious coffee, and nice to the dog Snowy. Fresh water is available, many come from Heemstede.

Unfortunately, it's not wheelchair accessible. The food was small but delicious. I had the Happy Fish Sandwich: a slice of sourdough bread with smoked salmon, trout, and tuna cream, and a fresh ginger tea. 👍

The dishes themselves were good. However, if you want to substitute something (fries instead of small potatoes), you have to pay extra. Even after mentioning this, the only response was, "I'll report it to my supervisor." Be aware that the water and bread that are offered isn't a complimentary gesture; you have to pay €15 for it.

Hippie Fish is always a nice choice. If you are looking for a diverse menu and friendly staff come to this nice and easy beach club. The music is good and if you come for dinner you will see the sunset in the water. Have fun!

A beautiful restaurant right on the beach. The atmosphere is simply magical, especially at sunset. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was friendly and attentive. After a walk on the beach, it's the perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal, and take in the sea view. For me, Hippie Fish is one of the most beautiful restaurants in Zandvoort.

What a fantastic beachfront find! Hippie Fish delivers on every front: delicious food, house-made drinks that are absolutely worth trying, and a wonderfully friendly staff that makes you feel welcome right away. The location is hard to beat; Right on the beach with a beautiful view of the sea. Eating here with the sound of the waves is a great experience. One practical tip, though: if you visit during quieter hours (such as early in the morning) and the outdoor seating isn't too crowded, consider sitting inside. The local seagull population is bold, to put it mildly, and attempted to claim part of our meal. A minor amusement, really, but worth knowing in advance! That aside, the food and drinks were excellent, the service was warm and attentive, and the overall atmosphere is exactly what you want from a beachside restaurant. Highly recommended when visiting Zandvoort.

Absolutely beautiful... but unfortunately it gets very crowded and noisy in the evenings.

Great music and a lovely beach club vibe, but the drinks are absurdly overpriced. I paid €5.75 for a homemade pineapple lemonade that was only 0.2L—and half of the glass was filled with ice. Disappointing value for money, so I won't be returning.

Nice place, reservations for dinner are recommended due to it getting busy. The food is average.

Great location, relaxed atmosphere, and music. It really gives you that holiday feeling; the hippie fish sandwich is highly recommended for lunch. The cocktail menu could have a bit more variety, and the waiters could be a little more attentive (but they're all super friendly).

What a lovely place with friendly staff and delicious food, especially the vanilla pancakes and the smashed avocado sandwich with chicken! We had a wonderful day. We will definitely be back!

We went there for an office event. It was nice they have lots of places inside and outside. The vegetarian chilli burger was nice with fries. Te gyzo was yummy, Highly recommended.

We come here every year and it always makes us happy. This time there were four of us. Unfortunately, the steak tartare was very tasteless, but this was resolved very nicely and immediately.

When your daughter wants to take her father to Hippie Fish for an elaborate lunch on Father's Day, but he can't make it because the kitchen needs to be demolished! And suddenly the day turns into Mother's Day🤩 Upon arrival, we were told that the table was available for us from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. We had a delicious meal and enjoyed the cocktails🍸🥂 and, not to forget, the lovely staff! The langoustine bisque is highly recommended, and we left Hippie Fish around 6:00 PM. Mother's Day was great!😉

Fish and chips just delicious offers a superb dining experience, with its stunning decor creating a magical atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The smoked salmon was a standout, showcasing a delicious, melt-in-your-mouth quality often missing in other restaurants. While service was exceptional, with a proactive and attentive staff that anticipated needs before they were even asked, the true star is the food itself. The tasting menu provided an excellent overview of the restaurant's multi-national cuisine, and the tiger prawn and chicken dishes were prepared to perfection. The food was great but the service was bad. I called the waitress multiple times and we were ignored. No one paid attention to the customers, all the staff werw just chatting and not paying attention, which is too bad. We came because we wanted the salmon toast with poached eggs, but were told at 11am that breakfast is not served anymore, all whilst seeing plates of salmon toast and eggs bwing served the entire time. Just felt off

The fish and chips were really good and beautifully presented. My girlfriend had the side salad and the loaded fries, which were also very tasty.

Food was horrible, giving it one star for worst sushi and tuna tartar. Ordered spicy salmon sushi and there was no salmon visible, only cucumber and avocado - I returned it and they said there is salmon inside… I looked closer and indeed there was the smallest piece of salmon, rice on sushi resembled the one from AH… tuna tartar had a lot of sriracha mayo and fish was not tasty, all in all bad experience but its a shame because the beach bar looks nice

Highly recommended! There were 12 of us there, including one dog. The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly and quick. Everything was beautifully decorated, with a direct view of the sea :)

We had the best day of our lives thanks to hippie fish venue location. We found this location because we went to the restaurant and loved the delicious food the whole venue and the staff so we asked if they would also have a wedding venue. They did and it’s crazy how it was still in our budget and just a third of what you pay for a wedding in Germany! So in the beginning of October, we had our beach wedding and it was more perfect than we could’ve imagined. Starting from the whole organisation from the day we met with Iris and had our first plannings - how they were always just an email away and respond really quickly - how they took every one of our wishes, serious and made everything possible. All of our guests love the food and even the staff that took care of each and every single person. They acted so professionally in the background that we barely noticed anything and could 100% enjoy our big day. I would really recommend getting married on the beach at hippie fish to everyone and I’m gonna try and make my future kids marry here as well. It’s just like a dream come true. They also rent the venue for other events than weddings. They have a separate little location next to the restaurant for that. We will definitely be back many many more times for the good food and the beautiful location. Thank you so so much for everyone who was involved!

After a lovely stroll on the beach, we ended up at Hippie Fish. The place offers a great atmosphere with chilled lounge music at a pleasant volume. Stylishly decorated, fast, friendly service, delicious food, and unique drinks. We were surprised with a warm gyoza to try. The prices are absolutely reasonable. A definite recommendation.

A fantastic restaurant right on the beach! We were there for both dinner and breakfast, and both were excellent. The dishes are creative, unusual, and truly delicious – there's something for everyone here. A particularly nice touch: dogs are welcome and receive a very friendly welcome. The service was consistently attentive and courteous. An all-around harmonious experience in a fantastic atmosphere – highly recommended!

We ate there twice. The first night, the staff were super friendly, joking around with each other and chatting enthusiastically with us, which was very pleasant. The second night, it wasn't as good; there was less interaction with the staff, and they were much more distant. Not exactly cheerful.

We visited Hippie Fish for the first time and were thrilled! The entire young team was always very friendly, accommodating, and always had a smile on their faces. The food—we had falafel for starters and fish and chips and risotto with prawns for the main course—was fantastic! Very good and fresh quality! You can tell the food is cooked with love and passion. And by the way, we even got a welcome drink, which was also delicious. The location is fantastic—right by the sea! All in all, it was a wonderful evening, and I highly recommend Hippie Fish to everyone! We'll definitely be back!

I had viewed and saved in the UK. For a nice day in late September it is perfect for my palate. Just tasted the Rocket fuel coffee. Orderd the fish and chips. Best home made Mayo I have ever had. Super lovely. Very chilled out place. Relaxing music. So hope to return, had food envy.

There were two of us, and we spontaneously visited on a Friday evening. With a short wait, we had no problem getting a table – practically right on the beach with a fantastic view of the sunset (see pictures). You can also order via mobile using QR codes stuck to the tables (and pay directly online), which I would personally recommend, as the lady unfortunately made two errors when taking the order. However, the staff is always very friendly and tries to rectify things as quickly as possible if something isn't right. The appetizer plate (from 2 people) was excellent: There was (a lot of) beef carpaccio, burrata with nuts and grapes, "muhammara" (a red, well-seasoned "dip") with bread, four salmon maki (sushi), soup (with coconut), and two vegetarian gyoza with soy sauce. For the main course, we had the mussels – a large portion in a large pot, which were also very good. The fish and chips were also great – the fries were perfect, the fish a bit too crispy for my taste, but overall everything was delicious. The wine was also quite good – although we've had better. Overall, we were very satisfied and will definitely be back!
