Delicious kibbeling, large portions, compared to competitors. When it's nice, it's great to sit on the terrace. More than adequate.

the kibbeling is inedible . they use coalfish as standard which is really rancid . then take hake . cod kibbeling is only available if you ask for it. we only found this out when we already had the fish . now 4 hours later i am still eating the coalfish with sauce . and my partner has had hellish cramps for 3 hours . even a wild stray cat doesn't want the piece I gave him . i will never get anything here again

It's a great pity that the herring isn't fat this year. Not only here.

Regular fish kibbeling, lekkerbek, cod dish is a delicious meal, also nice to sit in the shop, definitely recommended if you are in the area.

Arrived at 18.55 and 5 minutes before closing time. But we were still helped, delicious mixed fish, got extra pieces, still had plenty of time for us, fish salad was delicious, as was the herring. We like to come here when we are in Leeuwarden

Had a delicious mackerel sandwich with a kind of sambal sauce. The lettuce, cucumber and red onion were super fresh. Delicious and prices also low compared to the prices asked for fish in the city center. The only thing I think could be improved is the hygiene, I didn't think it was clean, the table, napkin holders, pin machine... That's not necessary, just clean it every day and then just keep it neatly clean. Apart from that, I will definitely visit again soon because the fish was really good!!!

Delicious fish, well worth a visit

This snack is probably one of the best Holland has to offer. Excellently prepared, even if you think it's just baked in oil, it tastes exceptionally good. I had the cod fillet and the breading was the finest. If you like fresh fish, like to stay in the Netherlands and are in the Leeuwarden area, you definitely shouldn't miss this snack bar.

Despite a busy environment, you can eat outside in peace. Quality is top notch! I had haddock, but my table companions' mussels were also very good. Great tent!

Very satisfied always. Went for dinner again tonight but again great. Consistently good quality, nice large portions and nicely fried and seasoned. Even the salad with tasty dressing goes well. Our regular spot when we want to eat fish.

Went to eat a Plate of Kibbeling with my buddy, with fries and salad. Portion was large, we had leftover fries and we are both big eaters, so that's great for me 👌✌️

Went for a third time, because our regular fish "farmer" was on holiday. It's ok, and the staff works hard and is correct. The kibbeling and gourmet remains a bit stiff here (thick breadcrumb layer) and tasteless as far as our taste is concerned. Without sauce it is a really dry bite. And we think it's just taste, and not bad or anything. Because it is often busy here. And again, it is a great restaurant and looks neat and clean.

Today I visited Hollander's Nieuwe to eat kibbeling for lunch, but I need to get my share of omega-3 fatty acids (seems to be healthy). The kibbeling was delicious, the crust was nice and crispy and the pieces of fish were the right size. The service is also good, because at Hollander's Nieuwe you can sit at a table inside (if there is room) and then your order will be neatly brought to your table.

Best fish in town! Offer a lot of different kinds. Portions are great value for the money. Location is not really made to eat there, but they tried their best to make something of it.

Dear “Hollanders Nieuwe”, if you claim to have the best fish shop in Friesland, you have to make this true.. Very mediocre kibbeling, eaten here, a 5.8! The fish (kibbeling) was gray on the inside and not white!! The frying fat was so hot that even the last frying burnt my mouth!! Also, the batter around the kibbeling was so overpowering .. to mutch .!! A kind of intense paprika flavor and moderate ravigote sauce... If you keep saying in a local guide that people detour for “the best fish shop” in Friesland / Leeuwarden, you have to make it happen... or burn your fingers/mouth! happy to improve your quality! I can't get any further than a 5.8... just enough...
