Very good but very expensive for what it is.

The potatoes live up to the hype; we tried the chicken and parmesan fries, and both were excellent. If you come to Amsterdam, you absolutely must visit this place.

Overpriced fries with nothing special Tried House of Fries, and honestly, it was nothing more than overpriced fries. There was nothing fancy about it — the taste was average, and it didn’t justify the price at all. I was expecting something more interesting or at least better value, but it fell short. Overall, not very pleased and probably wouldn’t go back.

This place is always busy. It's located on Damstraat just off Dam Square. Some of the best Fries you can get downtown any time of day. Lots of selections and great taste. This is my new go to fries shop.

A centrally located spot in the Netherlands, ideal for a quick fries meal. The appeal lies in the variety of sauces and toppings: Parmesan, cheddar, green onions, tomato, mayonnaise, or combinations with fish or chicken, etc. You order at a self-service kiosk, and the place is small, designed for eating standing up and moving on. The prices are reasonable. The food is decent, tasty but nothing to write home about.

I ate chicken with tahini sauce, I regret it, the potatoes were good, but you don't have to go there just because everyone else goes there. I didn't like it.

They give you the cheese for free. But it's just frozen fries with sauce.

The service was fast even though there were a lot of people. The price was fair and the fries were super delicious. A lot of sauce and super delicious!

Place is a scam, overcharged ( probably a tourist price) on the receipt clearly charged extra 8 Euros at the end of the bill for x2 portions of Parmesan, despite being already charged 13 Euros for the parmesan fries. Nothing on the menu board stating they would be an extra charge for Parmesan on the Parmesan fries as it was already included in the prize. Approach member of staff behind the till, when questioning the receipt became very aggressive shouting over the top of myself. Clearly and error was made on the receipt and overcharged myself did not want to give me a refund or admit there was a wrong charge on my receipt. Very overpriced for poor quality food anyway therefore would highly NOT recommend going to this place. There are far BETTER OPTIONS ALONG THE SAME STREET, THEREFORE PLEASE CHOOSE CAREFULLY

We stumbled upon House of Fries in Amsterdam on a Sunday when most of the famous fries spots were already closed. We kept it simple and just ordered classic fries with mayo and ketchup. The portion is decent, but honestly, it’s expensive for what you get. Fries come in a bowl rather than a cone or paper cup, which makes walking around a bit awkward. As for taste, the mayo was completely off—nothing like traditional mayo, really unpleasant. The fries themselves were bland, almost completely lacking flavor or seasoning. Even on their own, they tasted like low-quality potatoes. Combined with the mayo, it just made the whole experience disappointing. For the price, it was underwhelming and honestly not worth it.

Portion was quite big 👌🏻 — enough for the five of us to share as a snack 🍟. Taste-wise, it was okay, nothing particularly special. It’s not bad at all, but I probably wouldn’t make a special trip just to get it.

It's fine. The sauce wasn't my favourite but the person I was with enjoyed it. I think we also forgot to grab a stick to eat it - would highly recommend not forgetting to grab one.

The attendant was huffing and puffing, he didn't want to serve him because it was late, but the place was open, he was rudely arrogant and impolite.

The fries I tried were tasty and satisfying. The store itself is located right in the heart of the city. The only downside is that the prices could be a bit more reasonable — that would make the overall experience truly perfect.

Ordered chicken tenders and fries. The fries were pretty good. The chicken however was disgusting. I spit it right out. My husband who eats anything, tried it, spit it right out and didn't even believe it was chicken. Absolutely inedible whatever it is. So if you go here, I would recommend the fries but definitely not the chicken tenders. Something else on the menu may be good and it could have been an off day for them but YUCK

Overpriced French fries. Very expensive for what they are. I ordered a hamburger and it was nothing like that. A soft drink was 3 euros..... I'd save that.

Good fries. To go packaging could be improved upon, but the food is top grade.

I couldn't see much difference in the potatoes as we know them, there was a difference in the sauce flavor in other places I ate. I couldn't notice it much here, the truffle sauce is 2.5 Euros, in my opinion it's too expensive.

Made a 2 AM(8pm in our minds...lol) food walk through Amsterdam and stopped here. And wasn't disappointed. Two orders of fries one plain, the other was chicken satay. Both were absolutely amazing and the service was fantastic. Even the price was wonderful.

Wanted something spicy so went here to get some fries. The staff isn't that friendly but also not rude. They could be a tad bit nicer with some welcoming language and smiles. The fries a kinda overpriced. Fries were decent though. Sauce was extra which I didn't expect. I thought it would come with fries costing over 10 euros!

Very delicious and varied. I liked the sweet potatoes. The payment feature is through an electronic device, which reduces the crowding at the cashier.

One of the dozens of fast food shops in the De Wallen area. It offers a variety of fries. Each of the fries is unusually large and big. There is nothing to say “Wow” about. They are normal, as they should be, fries. Very good. You can choose your extra sauces by ordering from the machine. I didn’t see any tables or anything around. I think they operate as Take Away.

Mientras visitaba a un amigo en Amsterdam, me vi obligado a una degustación... completa con arenque holandés, kibbeling y, por supuesto, patatas fritas. House of Fries es una parada rápida para un aperitivo - situado en la calle cerca de una plaza agradable para sentarse y disfrutar. El servicio fue rápido, así que sentí que tenía que estar absolutamente listo con mi pedido cuando era mi turno. Dado lo mucho que ya había comido ese día, mi objetivo en House of Fries era, bueno, FRIES. Elegí un acompañamiento de salsa de ajo mayo, que se roció encima de un cono de papas fritas tostadas. Las fichas eran buenas. Corte medio, caliente, firme pero no quemado (prefiero crujiente pero me doy cuenta que el restaurante se va a cocinar al medio). La salsa fue donde este restaurante pierde estrellas. No sé qué fue, pero no fue ni ajo ni mayo. Habría supuesto que se equivocaron en mi pedido pero los vi lanzar la salsa del dispensador de ajo mayo. Lamentablemente, como dan tanta salsa, fue una lucha disfrutar de las papas fritas ya que usé mi pequeño tenedor y mis dedos para cavar en el cono en busca de papas fritas no contaminadas por la salsa extraña. Basado en otras críticas, y las buenas patatas fritas, el servicio y la porción, podría intentarlo de nuevo, pero definitivamente no volvería a probar el ajo mayo de nuevo.

Outrageously overpriced for the worst, driest fries I’ve ever tasted. The fries are not fresh but in fact all old cold fries that are just re-fried so they are dry and lack flavour. The cheese and bacon (10 euro for a small with horrendously low quality cheese), was so revolting i had to throw it away! It’s a tourist trap and not in anyway authentic Dutch food. Avoid

Was in Amsterdam for a few days with friends stopped by for some food was given chips and bacon with cheese sauce food was terrible took 2 bites and binned it friend ordered the chicken burger and got food poisoning ruining the rest of his trip avoid completely

absolutely delicious crispy, golden, and full of flavor! Definitely worth trying. Just be prepared for a long line, and I hope they improve the cleanliness a bit..

It is said that the shoemaker often has the worst shoes. This is valid for the House of Fries which brings us a tray of uncooked fries with an ultra-acidic cheese sauce and bacon instead of bacon. Never taste a tray of fries that you miss... too bad for a chip shop.

The fries tasted more like flour than fries. I can't recommend them. They were definitely not tasty and extremely expensive.

You can order from the screen outside, which is very convenient. The portion was quite large. There is no seating, you have to eat standing up.

Hot and fresh Really enjoyed the fries. Will definitely try again next time Open till quite late so that was great 5/5 stars! House of Fries in Amsterdam is a MUST-VISIT! We devoured their heavenly fries with cheese sauce not once, not twice, but THRICE! Addictive, crispy, and indulgently cheesy. Can't wait to return!

French fries and shrimp are delicious but still a bit expensive

So overpriced for the most atrocious food I ever tasted. Meat is extremely poor quality and a lot of stuff is spicy. Fries are the only thing that you can eat here and even those are too expensive for the taste you get.

Just got some fries here, and was shocked that the people working were racist. Me and family are Asian looking and they just started to say racist slurs just because they thought we were Chinese. The people working were also people of colour by the way. The place was dirty but the fries were fine I guess. I’ve had better quality for the same price at Mannenken pis frites and other places. To us, it was a waste of money :)
