Turkish Breakfast was absolutely amazing 10/10. Everything else was fantastic too. The family have been coming here for years and will continue to for many more.

The Turkish stews were delicious, but the ayran was a bit sour. The baked rice pudding wasn't bad either.

As a family, we were very exhausted and wanted to rest and eat something. Not knowing what to expect, we went in. A beautiful, large restaurant with plenty of seating and remarkably clean. The soups were delicious. The kebabs are a must-try. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Thank you very much!

After a rugby match in the nearby stadium, we got hungry and ended up in this restaurant. When we wanted to make a reservation online, there was only room available at a late stage. We decided to go and have a look ourselves and we don't regret it. There was enough room. There is a lot of choice and all dishes tasted good. Deliciously seasoned and for a reasonable price. In short, a delicious meal and friendly service. It's because we don't really live nearby, otherwise we would definitely have eaten here more often with our family.

AMAZING 100/100!!! GREAT FOOD! AWESOME customer service Kind Owner & staff! The lamb kebab was so delicious, so fresh and delicious. I also really liked how much bread was given to me. And within a minute or less they already served me the salad and bread :) I'm from Canada and every week back home I always used to go out to my favorite Turkish restaurants. On a personal level this was a nice treat to have such authentic tasty food. Thank you /Teşekkür ederim

The people who wrote a bad review here should just start cooking their own food. As a service technician I had to carry out some maintenance for this customer. We received a lovely welcome, delicious lentil soup and had the tastiest Durum with adana kebab. And I go to catering establishments every day for work. I would honestly drive 1.5 hours back just to taste this kebab again. Top quality and deliciously authentic.

Nice ambiance, very good communication with workers, food is almost perfect, I have to stop coming here otherwise I'm gaining weight... The desert is unbelievably sweet, I always find parking nearby etc.. You have to try guys....

Clean and delicious. Suitable for Turkish taste. If you want to eat Turkish food in Amsterdam, you can choose it. We went with a group, it was sad that the same food was served 2 days in a row. The place is not very touristic due to its location.

I ordered a beyti kebab and my cousins ordered Iskender and shoarma. Beyti kebab was delicious but the meat was really pink, uncooked, very dry and hard, it made me really nauseas after finishing my food. Iskender was not Iskender at all. Sliced meat on top of bread, was unseasoned and really dry. The shoarma was really hard also. Dont recommend.

Nice large and attractive restaurant. Quality/price ratio certainly leaves much to be desired. The portion and price ratio of the dishes is absolutely out of proportion. Definitely not worth repeating for me.

At Restaurant Hunkar the cooking is clearly done with passion and attention. The dishes were wonderfully seasoned and perfectly prepared. The flavors were delicious and I really enjoyed every bite. The portions were generous and the value for money was more than reasonable. As for the service, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. They were fast and efficient, and did everything they could to give us a great experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also very pleasant and contributed to the overall positive experience. We went to Iskender for dinner, but we still couldn't figure out what we were eating. At first we thought it was chicken, I guess it wasn't!... But it definitely wasn't red meat!... Good thing we ordered appetizers and filled our stomachs with them... The atmosphere is nice, the service is good....

The appetizers were great, but don't eat iskender. I didn't understand what I ate. Was it chicken meat or regular meat? That's not the place to eat iskender or doner. Maybe Adana Şiş or something is nice, but I haven't tried it.

Voor mij nooit meer Hunker.Ben er ziek van geworden .Alleen linzen was wel te eten maar was lauwwarm.Rest donner schotel en Barbeque vondt ik niks heb dan ook niks gegeten .Op de terug weg moest ik kosten langs de weg.

Ein Besuch ist aufjedenfall zu empfehlen. Das Essen war sehr köstlich und das Personal sehr schnell und freundlich. Man fühlt sich durch die ruhige Atmosphäre entspannt. :)

Leuk restaurant, lekker en kwalitatief eten. Het is Turks dacht ik. Het enige wat ik jammer vind (vandaar de 3 sterren) dat wanneer je met je familie hier wilt dineren je binnendoor langs hun waterpijp terras moet lopen en dat geeft een heel ongemakklijk gevoel. Hoop dat dit veranderd kan worden. Denk niet dat men de recensies maar alsnog.

Een ogenschijnlijk doodgewoon restaurant op een winkelcentrumpje in een volksbuurt, maar t eten was lekkuuiir. Ja we gingen vroeg in de middag 15:30 en we hadden honger, maar de “honger” eruit gefilterd, echt alles was lekker en gezond. Van salades tot soepen tot de grillgerechten. En bediening helemaal prima. Ik heb ze dik getipt, jammer dat ik geen feedback van waardering ervoor kreeg, maar misschien omdat t niet gangbaar is voor een buurtrestaurant? Ow en aan de buitenzijde kan je sjishapijp roken. Ik denk dat men t voor lief neemt, maar het voedsel was heerlijk. Ow! En die knoflooksaus, mijn hemel, zo goed gemaakt!

We come here all the time and we are never ever disappointed! The food is authentic and absolutely delicious! The staff is so friendly and will always accommodate you! The back end of the restaurant has a beautiful view of the city! In the summer the windows are all open and the summer air feels so nice when you're having a quiet dinner! I highly recommend Hunkar!

De bezorging was erg snel. Falafel schotel zaten precies vijf falafel in. Ik vind het niet het geld waard. Pita shoarma was helemaal vies en zacht bij bezorging. Het zag er helemaal niet smakelijk uit. Gebeld, 20 minuten later een nieuwe pita. Professioneel. Toch zullen we hier niet nogmaals bestellen.
