Ambiance prima, eten uit de keuken ook goed. Waarom dan maar 2 punten. Dit heeft te maken met de bediening. Niet dat er te weinig mensen liepen maar werk zien was er niet bij. Na voorgerecht werd net voor het hoofdgerecht de tafel afgeruimd en ingedekt. Zelfde gebeurde na het hoofdgerecht.. gevolg dat de koffie bij de borden van het hoofdgerecht werden gezet. Na zelf de borden weggezet te hebben is er ook nog zo’n bijdehante tante die maar vond dat we na een 1/2 uur nog maar een minuutje geduld moesten hebben. Vaker langs de tafel lopen, drank opnemen in plaats van lummelen bij het drankenloket. Dat is ook nog omzetverhogend Begrijpt de bediening niet dat nu ook de keuken, die wel hun best gedaan hadden, ook slecht beoordeeld worden. Je moet het maar hebben van je collega’s

Half uur moeten wachten om te kunnen bestellen terwijl het halve terras leeg was 4 keer langs gelopen en niemand die ziet dat de tafel leeg is.

Eerder dit jaar kwamen we langs voor een simpel kopje koffie, maar na lang wachten zonder geholpen te worden besloten we uiteindelijk weg te gaan. Een maand later gaven we het een tweede kans, op een rustiger moment. We wachtten lang op de menukaart, maar omdat niemand deze bracht, pakten we er zelf maar een. Daarna duurde het een half uur voordat onze bestelling werd opgenomen en nog eens 15 minuten voor de koffie op tafel stond – inmiddels lauw. Ondertussen bleven de vuile borden van de vorige gasten onaangeroerd op tafel liggen. De serveerder vertrok na het opnemen van de bestelling met lege handen… Na de koffie werd er niet meer naar ons omgekeken, waardoor we geen extra drankje konden bestellen. Uiteindelijk toch gelukt en uit voorzorg maar een fles besteld. Ook onze borrelplank, die we hadden besteld met de fles wijn, bleek niet goed te zijn doorgekomen bij de keuken. Deze werd geserveerd toen de laatste slok uit de fles gegoten werd. Kortom: prachtige locatie, maar de service is waardeloos.

Rond 14.45 gearriveerd voor late lunch, meeste tafels gereserveerd vanaf 15.30. Eindelijk een gevonden tot 16.30. De soep was prima en snel geserveerd, nu wachten op de omelet en de croque…15.15…15.30…15.45 nog altijd niets. Ondertussen was ons verzekerd dat het onderweg was.. Tegen 16.00 hadden we er genoeg van, inmiddels ook van de te harde muziek, de soep afgerekend en aangegeven dat we de rest niet meer hoefde. Natuurlijk allerlei excuses, maar onze verjaardagslunch was bedorven. De locatie is prachtig, maar je komt toch voor de maaltijd..

De gerechten waren lauw en erg weinig. We hadden de social deal maar voor de Bavette moest je nog extra bijbetalen en als je er friet bij wilde ook. In de deal zat voor, hoofd en nagerecht. Je zou zeggen dat er dan frietjes bij in zitten toch? Groente amper aanwezig en geen salade of iets dergelijks. Soep van de chef met garnalen niet lekker en heel erg zout. De ijmburger niets bijzonders en ook lauw. Helaas kwam ons drinken pas toen we het hoofdgerecht al op hadden en zo druk was het niet. Het was niet warm binnen. Al met al gaan we voor dat geld voortaan ergens anders naar toe.

Ontzettend jammer dat we vanaf 20.45 uur het gevoel hadden dat we weg moesten, waren er voor 19.00 uur. Moesten lang wachten op supplement bij het hoofdgerecht. Uiteindelijk zaten we tegelijk met ijs en frietjes, want de keuken ging zo dicht. Geen goede bediening, wazig.

What a wonderful staff! We celebrated my husband's birthday there with a small group of 14 people. Very busy due to the Christmas market. But they thought along, gave us a separate room and served us very well. Very pleasant experience.

Nice place for lunch with a fairly extensive menu. The alertness and customer focus of the staff sometimes leaves something to be desired. We were served the dishes without cutlery and had to explicitly ask for this. It also took a lot of effort to order an extra drink. First world problems, but the bar could be a little higher. Then the food. Bouncer Carpaccio was fine. The prawns too, but 4 prawns and 1 piece of bread for 18 euros feels like a mild form of fraud. The croque monsieur was a bit soggy and salty (too much béchamel sauce?) and the end of the ham was burnt. That can happen, but if this dish is apparently too complicated, why not put a regular sandwich on the menu where fewer things can go wrong in the preparation? According to my table companion, the Caesar salad was tasty but had surprisingly little lettuce.

Ate here last weekend and it was delicious! Nice atmosphere! Beautiful on the water, food was delicious! We had a wonderful evening before we headed home! Also easily accessible from the N65... and parking in front of the door! Fine!

Service was great, there's nothing to say about it, they just did a great job. But the BBQ buffet was just bad, the spare ribs were bone dry and little to no meat on the bones. The pork belly and salmon were good, but everything was cooked in one go. As a result, when you came back later you had cold meat. The presentation of the food was also just bad, much too dark so that you could not really see what was there, such as salad, bread, sauce and the like. You really had to ask for what was in the containers and salad. Until the beginning of the buffet, it was announced that you had to make do with one plate for the entire evening.

I had lunch here on a Wednesday afternoon with 2 others. The food was (as always) delicious. Service was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was also nice. Price-quality ratio is good for most dishes. Definitely recommended for those who want a nice, atmospheric and not too expensive lunch in a beautiful location.

Lousy service! Just went for lunch with 3 people. We tipped and it was already a hefty bill. When we then look at the bill, we see that they charge the price of 2 teas (Read 5.90!!) for 2 sips of extra water to make my coffee a bit weaker. I make a comment about that, the waitress first says, you will get your money back, but at the cash register they will only charge you 1 tea back! We're talking about a sip of water to dilute the coffee!! Really super worthless, no service at all and super bad that you don't report in advance, we charge the price for one tea per coffee Didn't even get a tea bag before that! A little hot water, that counts for 2.80!!! No service and lost 3 customers who no longer come there!

Ate with a larger group. Atmosphere and location are always good. Service was friendly, but a bit slow and sometimes it took a long time before they came to your table to order something. In terms of food, there is a wide selection, the dishes were tasty. Portion size in combination with price is not in proportion. If you only take the Bavette, you will still be hungry. Fries are necessary, but at an additional cost. All in all, fine for an evening but not too often.

Niet mijn keuze. Eén glas kraanwater doen ze niet aan. Alleen veel te hoog geprijsde flesjes spa. Tabasco gevraagd voor bij de tomatensap, na herhaaldelijk er om vragen vroeg het dienstertje of het nog niet was gebracht. Nee dus! Volgende keer gewoon bij een betere uitspan wat gaan drinken.

Always had good experiences at IJM, until last month. What unfriendly waitresses we had. The food was delicious. The salads were excellent and the eel is definitely recommended. However, the croque madam was salty and without béchamel sauce; In my experience it is a sandwich and not a croque madam. We were also told four times that they did not have something. It can happen once or at most twice, but I think four times is a lot. For example, they didn't have a frozen p0rnstr martini, but they did have 'the regular' one. Also special. My sister asked in a normal way if she could pass, but that was not appreciated. One waitress said to the other: “Well, does it have to be that way?” A real shame as it is a beautiful place with generally good food. This experience was one for us that we will never go back to again.

Nice company outing with great weather

Went by on September 20 to choose a nice bed so we could sunbathe. Outdoor bar closed, no more sunbeds to be seen and the sunbeds and sofas are downstairs close to the restaurant. It is 20/25 degrees and I don't think about placing a few pillows to enjoy it. Bad service in this weather.

Delicious large shrimps, good wine, a lavish platter of poor quality. And refusal to serve a glass of tap water. Not customer friendly.

I visit beach house IJzeren Man (IJM) 5 to 6 times a year with friends or for business meetings. IJM is located near the water in the beautiful green environment of Vught. A location that impresses most people who are not familiar with it. There is a large parking (free) in front of the restaurant. The ambiance inside is Grand Cafe-ish, not too casual not too chique. Depending the weather IJM has three options: outside on the terras, in the veranda/serre (semi outside) and inside the restaurant. The serre is really great, feels like outside without being bothered by rain and wind. The menu for lunch and dinner is not extensive, but there is always a right dish for everyone. Like I mentioned, Grand Cafe-ish, so not special but accessable and relaxed. Wines are fine. Prices are average.

Driving from Ijmuden to Rome, discovered this place after finding a place to park the van and accidentally getting it stuck in the mud. Decided we needed a couple of drinks to relax. Setting is beautiful, the lake and sunset is beautiful. Staff are attentive and friendly. It's clear that they are assigned areas so just try to order with your actual server. If we're in the area we shall definitely return!

Our wedding day at Jzeren Man Vught was simply magical! The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and offers a great atmosphere for a wedding celebration. The service, food, and hospitality were top notch. Our guests were impressed by the beautiful setting on the water, and everything went smoothly. If you are looking for a romantic and unique wedding location, Jzeren Man Vught is definitely recommended!

Awesome place they have a good selection of food and drinks which are all reasonably priced. There is a small indoor play area for younger children but what really makes this place special is the view over the beach and the lake, an excellent place to go and watch the sun set.

Besides the food was cold when I ordered an eel. The service took 22 minutes and my food was wet. The atmosphere was better with these boys from Boxtel I will definitely not be coming back here!!!!!!!!!

Zit je lekker op het strandterras om 15.20 uur en wordt je weggejaagd omdat het MiISSCHIEN gaat regenen. Zo klantontvriendelijk. Het bleef daarna nog droog zo lang wij er waren en dat was langer dan een uur.

Cycling tour planned with a cycling buddy to the IJzeren Man in Vucht, leaving from Arendonk (60km). Our intention was to have a drink, eat something here and charge the electric bike while we were there. This was a must for me given the size of our bike tour, otherwise I wouldn't get home. I ask the receptionist if we have the option to recharge, unfortunately only if the battery could be disconnected (something that was not possible with my bicycle at that time) and therefore not with an outdoor socket.. We emphasize our unpleasant situation and the problem, but the young man did not want to do anything extra for us, it was not possible, so to speak. Then we drove to a nearby restaurant, which was willing to share an electrical socket with us, albeit in a back room of the restaurant. I think I'm certainly not the only one who rides around with an electric bicycle (in 2024). For customer friendliness, it is better to drive to another location.

Not entirely my thing, beautifully laid out and fun for families if you like natural water, it was really very busy but logical in the high season and a very warm day.

Don't go if you want to swim at a nice beach bar. This restaurant is disappointed that they have a beach. Because it is not lucrative business wise, you are not "allowed" to swim there if you are older than 12 years old. They have put up signs themselves that it is prohibited. While a lake is public in itself and is a wonderful swimming spot. Sunbathing in your bikini is not allowed on the terrace anyway and they are very strict about it. The fact that people walk back and forth on the same terrace in their bare torso is not a problem. If you want to eat with a view of a lake, this is the place for you. Unfortunately, no vegan main course on the menu.

We had made a reservation for 4 people at 6 p.m. The starter was served on time. We didn't get the main course until an hour later, and the dessert didn't arrive an hour later. I indicated this twice, but it turned out that it had not been passed on, so we ultimately only received dessert 3 hours later. When paying, we received bread from another table, one too many drinks, and another 3.50 euros for something we didn't have. I have experienced this before at the IJM. A total of 15 euros too much. No apology was possible yet. Be sure to check your bill first before paying at IJM. Definitely not IJM for us. More . Certainly not for that money

Buying an entrance ticket online for the beach is quite a job. You must create an account. Download a photo. And you cannot pay by Ideal. That should be easier.

Yesterday we went swimming and playing at the Iron Man for a day. The slides and beach pool were a success, clean beach and fun slides. The playground equipment, trampolines and football field were also a success. The free parking is a plus. The vending machines and snack wall is a smart concept, unfortunately it was out of order all day... The net course opened at 12.15 pm and the children had a lot of fun. It would be an addition if this were open all day during the holidays. At noon we had lunch on the terrace and ordered via the menu board on the wall at the kiosk. The food was prepared quickly but not very special. The carpaccio wrap was disappointing, it was tasteless, carpaccio without taste, clearly from the freezer, lettuce, we also missed dressing or the cheese mentioned. All in all we had a great day with our children, definitely recommended!

Great food, overpriced coffee, helpful when I messed up, an owner (?) who clapped his hands to get attention from his staff... but what took the cake is that as an obvious hiker (mountain boots, large backpack) I didn't get my water could supplement. Yes, at the dog tap outside. Very special and not customer friendly as far as I'm concerned.
