Il Delfino Blu in Osdorp-Midden

I ordered a pizza delivery and they just didn't do it. They called me to ask to cancel the order - which I could not - promised to cancel the order themselves and then just didn't. The order is still active, the pizza is nowhere to be seen and I will have to apply effort to at least get my money back - not to mention the fact that I'm in a stressful and uncertain situation. I will never know if the pizza is actually any good because I will never order here again.

I didn't eat in the restaurant itself, but I ordered take-out. A guy on a bicycle brought my order and dropped my drink. I don't mind. He starts laughing. I certainly don't find it funny.

Amazing quality food . The best Italian in Amsterdam imo even the bread tastes different . 100% recommend 11/10 Food

Always got delicious pizzas, delicious food, there was no atmosphere because no one was there but I came to pick it up, good decoration of get restaurant and friendly staff

UPDATE 2025 : so many years later, and the owner is still aggressive and intimidating. Because my order was taking long I called the store and the owner still was aggressive towards me after many years because of my earlier review as a result of his bad attitude years ago. On the call today he intimated me and forced me to cancel the order. Their pizzas are very good, but I would suggest this company to make sure this guy never talks to customers. he is harming his own business ——————————————————————————— I have been ordering at this place for 7 years and last week I have been extremely mistreated by the owner. If it was one of the employees I would have understood it someway but if this comes from the owner I am shocked. I called to order 2 pizza and I asked for some information regarding the menu and he was extremely rude and impatient. He hang up on me and I called 3 times back and he hang up each time. This kind of entrepreneurial mindset should not be rewarded and I will never order here again. Clearly he was stressed but 1 that doesn’t justify his attitude plus I waited 3 days for an apology.. nothing! This person is the owner but he doesn’t own the responsibility to run his business If you value good customer service don’t order here

I entered the restaurant and wasn't greeted because no one had been there for at least ten minutes. The owner's son came in later and focused mainly on the family's daughter, while I had to walk to the counter to grab a menu and order, as if I were in a snack bar. When I took my first bite of pizza, I saw the cook taking his socks on and off right in front of me. It looked extremely unhygienic. As a result, I didn't eat my food because my appetite had completely vanished. I reported this to the owner's son; he didn't charge me for the drink, but I still had to pay for the pizza. The hygiene and service were far below par. I'll never return.

Ordered through their own website. The courier was at my door within 20 minutes with a delicious, hot pizza! Excellent 👍🏻

If i could give zero stars I would 100%. Me and my sister went to eat there and asked for tap water. The server came back with bottled water and we were confused so we asked if it was tap water, and she said yes the bottle was filled with tap water. In the end when we got the bill, we see the price of water has been included (tap water is usually free) and we just decided to clear the confusion. On hearing our side, the manager gave us a new bill with the price removed. But before we could exit, the owner came out shouting forcing us to pay the price. We didnt mind paying, but the owner screamt at us while we maintained our peace. He even stooped as low as telling us to get out of the restaurant. Yea, I would never recommend anyone to go eat here, the owner is short tempered and doesnt have manners to speak to his customers. It's not that we had to pay what im disappointed about, it is the way the owner was screaming and ill mannered. The owner screamt at my sister the most, not caring about raising his voices. Someone should definitely look into this. UPDATE: Yea we were your regular customers. Imagine not being able to run your own restaurant properly, not even having the etiquette to speak to your customers properly or provide training to your staff. You talk about my family, but you dont know how to treat people and own a restaurant. We never said no to paying, we just asked for clarification because after all it was your mistake. I can understand why one bottled water was so important, after all the restaurant is empty most of the time.

If I could give 0 I would. I went with my sister and they charged us for something we didn’t order on the bill and then the manager shouted at us and forced us to pay when we asked them to take it out.

Extremely rude owner DO NOT GO HERE they scam you with charging for bottled water when asked for tap water. Then the owner came to us and screams at us to pay for it despite us clarifying with the waitress that we wanted tap water. EXTREMELY rude old man who is yelling and screaming. extremely unsafe restaurant to visit for dine in.

Two of us went for a meal on Sunday evening (19 Oct). The meal was unpretentious, but very tasty. Excellent service and friendly atmosphere. Very good all round.

Really terrible service. I ordered a pizza with roasted chicken breast. I got a pizza with slices of chicken breast on it. I then called to see if I could swap my pizza for one with actual roasted chicken pieces. I couldn't because they were too busy. I'll never order from them again.

If I can put zero stars, I definitely would. I ordered a grilled chicken plate with a side salad and the lettuce is definitely not washed. You get -10 for cleanliness and hygiene. Disgusting! Never again!

Great pizzas, don't order anywhere else!

I only had a bad experience with this restaurant. Was waiting for delivery for more then 1,5 hour and then they just cancelled it after making me wait that long. Please, if you are busy just don’t take new orders and make people wait.

August 2025 I'm coming here for years, since I moved to this area. Consistent quality and almost open every day (including holidays) only a few days closed a year. When you pick up you get a 10% discount (smart). Often buy dishes (never tried a pizza) but their pasta's and main dishes are good. Also their Tiramisu is good.

Friendly and helpful staff, quiet and clean atmosphere, fast service. We had both pasta dishes and pizza, and everything was very good. Prices are reasonable.

First time ordering from here and I chose the take away Fantasy Pizza, the pizza was delicious and I will be back to try their other items.

The pizza tasted simply awful. The chicken that was on the pizza didn't taste good at all, way too spicy. The soda they served was the smallest there is. Paying 20€ for something so tasteless is not good.

Driving like crazy through the Osdorp/Badhoevedorp 80 100 km per hour where you are allowed to drive 30 km. No joke. Daily/weekly they tear past here on the dike. That says so much. I have only one word for this SCUM!

Food was not tasty - dry pasta! Shrimp were just cocktail shrimps hardly any sauce you just can't like this. First time ordered here and also the last time DELFINO DO BETTER because this is 10x nothing I was really really hungry!!!

I used to order quite often from this place. Food quality dropped and then there was an instance where the house number was incorrect on the order. To change it and bring it to right apartment, they charged me €5. Never ordered again from this place and never will!

I went to this pizzeria and I really liked it. The pizza was delicious – the crust was crispy, and the cheese was perfect. They have many choices, and everything looked fresh. The staff was very kind and helpful. The place was clean and cozy. I will go back soon!

Ordered a great calzone...was the right temperature and the delivery person was friendly...tasted great...it was a bit on the expensive side, but since everything is expensive these days I understand...so 5 stars on everything...

Pizza was delicious and good service

I ate a super tasty tuna pizza and pasta, at first I was a bit skeptical because of the reviews, but I still wanted to give it a chance! The service was also super good. I'm glad I followed my intuition 😊, I'll definitely come here more often!

I have ordered from Delfino before, I am Italian and must say that the pizzas are very tasty, even the Turkish dishes are very tasty, the delivery to me was certainly the owner, arrived in a neat van, very friendly gentleman with a chef jacket! An advice as Italian, in the pasta carbonara it is better to use guanciale instead of speck, no cream but egg yolk and some pepper then it is great!!!

I had to throw away my garlic sauce for the 3 times because it had clearly visible yellow spots, it's a wonder that the NVWA doesn't see this.

It's outrageous how much money they charge for 1 pizza, 17 euros, what a mess

Truly the best shawarma pizza I've ever eaten, definitely worth a try. Just the wrong drink but it was still good.

I have no words for this, see the photo! My son found a toothpick in his pizza while eating pizza!? Asked for a response but heard nothing from Delfino Blu! Apparently they know exactly what is going on and they find it difficult to respond! Because of this, me and my family will never come or order from here again.

First of all, if you are an owner, it is not normal to bark at guests and hang up the phone when the guest is doing her best to solve the problem and is friendly. The gentleman claimed that my number was incorrect (it was correct and I had not been called) the delivery person could not find my house. The delivery person apologized and was very friendly. Then the gentleman on the phone (presumably the owner :) ) claimed that I was laughing which was not the case and was very mean. The pizza was inedible and the fries were raw... we had to throw the food away because I felt nauseous. You forget that we couldn't do anything about you typing a number incorrectly. I'm not even going to be polite because I'm past that phase (I had already tried that on the phone) I don't recommend this place because you created such a nasty atmosphere that if the pizza had been good it would still not have been good. was pleased with your approach to us. We would prefer our money back and I will contact you via Thuisbezorgd itself because you are really a very nasty person.

After a complaint about double-heated black bottom dry hard pizza. You receive a phone call not to order there anymore after having been a customer there for more than 20 years. "I couldn't complain because I used a coupon"

Food ordered pizza and pasta was great!!

Too bad.....the oven pasta was way too salty. The fries bag was soggy, which made the fries completely limp....

Food very tasty, delivery was a little later but understandable if they have to drive further. Highly recommended.

Order warm baguette with our pizza. I received a tough cold baguette that I had to put in the oven at home, otherwise it wouldn't be tasty! Very unfortunate, we have been ordering from them for more than 20 years.

I order a pizza at 3:45 PM and it will be delivered at 5:30 PM! That 2 hours and 15 minutes of waiting!! When I called them after an hour and a half, they said it was on its way, after waiting another half hour I wanted to cancel the order, but that was not possible and no compensation, then the doorbell rang. When I said something about it I was also told "Yes ehh.. it's busy sir." No apologies or anything. The pizza itself was quite tasty after I threw it back in the oven.

Ordered 20 pizzas from Il Delfino Blu for an office party on short notice and they delivered excellently within 45-60 min notice. Really great communication and great delivery (shoutout to the delivery drivers!).

Have been ordering at least 2 to 6 times a month for more than a year. Unfortunately, today I received my pasta arabiata differently than the previous times, because it contained parsley and I did not like that. I called them and explained it, but was actually told straight away that it is always with parsley. Not in the past year, but okay. He was blunt and sour on the phone. Fine, but I will never order from them again just because they helped me so much. Thanks for the previous times and shame!

I love Il Delfino Blu In the summer I can always be found on their terrace, having a beer, pizza, delicious! In autumn/winter I always order a pizza calzone with minced meat sauce, A winner for me 😋🥰

Until today, I have been a regular customer at Il Delfino Blu for 10 years, and in the past year I have placed an order on average once every two weeks. The quality is good, it sometimes happened that the bottoms of the pizzas were burnt, but this was always resolved properly. However, today the delivery took a very long time (and we had to leave) so we contacted them by telephone. The first time we had a friendly young man on the phone who indicated that the order would be shipped out any moment. I contacted again 20 minutes later and then I got the male owner on the phone. What a rude man. Didn't listen to what I had to say at all and had no understanding of my situation/complaint at all. Finally he hung up in my ear. 5 minutes later the cold pizza finally came! The owner contacted me by phone a few hours later after I sent a review through the website. In this conversation he did not seem to mind at all that we will never order from him again. Nice and customer-oriented (not). I have had contact with the wife of this unfriendly man in the past and received very friendly and good help (tip for the gentleman to let your wife handle the complaint in the future). In short, don't order here!

The vegetarian pizza large raw onion pepper this is really not edible, maybe some advice on what to do about it, I tasted a small bite and threw it away, a waste of money!

The three of us had dinner in the evening. The pizzas were good but the service was very poor, disinterested, tables and floor dirty. Water bottle was brought without glass, had to ask twice. Absolutely no effort was made to ask for a starter or dessert. We definitely won't be back!

This is an average joint for a non frills dinner, but it does not pretend to be otherwise. Food quality and price are at an ok ratio. Given the other options in the neighborhood it might not be your first option to go to. Having said that you will not regret the experience.

Cozy Italian restaurant with a wide range of various pizzas. We enjoyed Fantasia (with ham and ananas 🤤) and simple and tasty Neapolitan pasta. The friendly owner made a nice atmosphere 😌

Friendly stuff, fast preparation of the order. HOWEVER the worst pasta carbonara I’ve even tried in my life, the egg yolk was cooked giving a terrible texture and taste to the pasta. The bacon (don’t even expect guancalle) was very low quality! Their calzones though are decent. Pizza below average…

Stiekem eigenlijk gewoon de leukste plek om wat te eten in osdorp. Het zit er nooit vol dus kan gewoon naar binnen lopen. Bestellen is ook prima maar de pizza's zijn op zn best als je het ter plekke opeet. Mensen zijn vriendelijk.

Delfino is one of my favorite in the neighborhood. They have all kinds of plates and food is good. It's a neighborhood life saver because there's not a lot of good options around the area. The place is completely accessible for disabled. The delivery service is fast and great as well

Helaas allemaal negatieve recensies maar dit is mijn favoriete pizzeria in Osdorp. Altijd snelle levering en je weet wat je koopt. Kwalitatief misschien niet de allerbeste maar zeker niks mis mee. Ik blijf hier graag bestellen! Tip: bestel via hun eigen website want dat scheelt zeker wat geld!
