Irish Pub Slainte in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

Had a great St. Patrick’s day until the evening time came. After spending the day and my group giving great custom to the business they began charging customers for the toilet. We were forced to leave to avoid this greedy way of making money.

Had a great time here. Well worth a visit or 3

I went on New Year's Eve, the atmosphere was nice, but my bad experience was with the bathrooms. Besides charging €1 to use the toilet, it was very dirty and clogged. Everything was full of trash and the floor was filthy. Very poor service. Go somewhere better.

The food was very good, but unfortunately the service was poor.

Unfortunately my experience wasn’t good even though the place has decent reviews, I found the bartender”northern Irish by the sounds of it” a bit rude and not welcoming at all, maybe a stressful evening which I can understand if someone is overwhelmed but I also expect as a paying customer at least some quality of service. Music was also way too loud! Toilets also atrocious

A proper Irish pub with Irish staff and Irish customers. Good buzzy atmosphere. Must stop on a visit to the Dam. Food was better than I'd expected from an Irish bar. Also when you go to pay, none of this pushy leave a tip behaviour you get in other bars and restaurants in Amstersdam

Pre-gaming at Irish Pub Slainte turned out to be a fantastic idea! The energy in the place is welcoming, and I loved the laid-back vibe. I grabbed a pint and some nachos, and both were surprisingly good for a pub. The nachos were loaded and crispy — not soggy at all, which is a pet peeve of mine. The staff kept the drinks flowing, and they genuinely seemed to enjoy what they were doing. If you’re in Amsterdam and need a fun spot to start your night, definitely make a pit stop here!

Irish pub in the heart of the Red Light district, prices compatible to others in the area but most important of all, a place that was non-smoking for those in the area who want a smoke-free area.

Had an amazing time at Slante Bar in Amsterdam Central! The atmosphere was spot on — friendly, welcoming, and full of good energy. A special shout-out to Lee behind the bar — what a legend! Super friendly and easy to chat with. Turns out he went to school with Paul Gascoigne and knows the Metro Centre and every parking spot around it like the back of his hand. He really knows the North East of England inside out — great to meet someone who brings that bit of home to Amsterdam. Top guy and top service. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area! 🍻🇳🇱

Went for late lunch. I got bangers and mash, it was good. My friends got cottage pie, which lacked mashed potsyoes and was served with beans. A bit strange. Music was way too loud 2 pm in the afternoon could not make a conversation and when asked to turn it a bit down, nothing was done.

Been coming to Amsterdam for sometime now and always my first port of call - this time around I enjoyed a few beers and some breakfast in the outside area and met some lovely fellow solo travelers. Hint - get the cheese toastie in the morning well worth the €3 something to like your stomach for a small snack Staff are amazing and always up for a joke - see you again soon and thank you for being my home from home boozer

Attended on 17/9/25 for tea. Ordered the 1/2 chicken with chips and salad and the nachos. It was brilliant. Would defiantly return. Thanks

Barstaff are a bit hit and miss, not very talkative. Food was good. Atmosphere the twice we went in was was low key.

A relaxed place where I could sit outside and enjoy my beer. The outdoor tables hadn’t been set up yet, so I asked if we could have one, and the lady at the bar immediately said she’d help and prepared the table, then brought us our beers. It’s a place where all the staff seem genuinely happy. We’ll definitely come back again

The beer serve was poor, probably from dirty lines or glassware. It's almost impossible to talk inside because of the loud music that plays constantly. It's very expensive here.

Went in to watch football and must say was a great place to go. The staff were very nice and gave great customer service.

The authentic Irish charm combined with top-notch service truly sets this place apart, the staff are Irish too! I can’t recommend it enough, 10/10 all the way! Served proper (southern) Irish Tayto crisps. Music was an odd choice when we went in - hardly any people in on a Friday night.

DO NOT GO HERE ON A NIGHT OUT. The bar staff are working with scammers in the area and they are coordinating stories, the scammer in cahoots with them will walk up to you, say he is the owner of the bar then the bar staff will confirm that he is so you trust these thugs, then they will take your money and cycle off. The staff are very unhelpful.

Amazing pub with an amazing atmosphere. First Irish pub in Amsterdam with actual Irish staff. The handsome bartender Conor served us with a smile and made us feel right at home. Will be back every night until we go home to Ireland. Thank you Conor!!!

Typical Irish pub with some tables outside, a short walk from the center of Amsterdam. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff. Excellent food (ate fish and chips and chicken cutlets with various side dishes). Advised!

Irish style pub located in the heart of De Wallen Amsterdam. We went as a group. Good draft beer. Staff not very supportive of Italian celebrations. All in all, despite being kicked out (after spending a significant amount), we had a lot of fun. If there is a chance we will definitely come back... as long as they let us in 😅

I visit it almost everytime I am in Amsterdam. Great location near the central Station. Reasonable price considering Amsterdam is of course expensive. The service was always great and variety of choice of food and drinks. It was great to visit solo as well as with friends.

In employment agreement... The kitchen is good, nothing more, but no problem.. The atmosphere is very good with the saxophone.. Several servers attentive, very very good.. In short, it went well...

Solid, but with room for improvement The Irish pub has a cozy atmosphere and the service was friendly. Unfortunately the beer selection was rather limited - we were looking forward to more variety. The food was OK but nothing special. Okay for a cozy evening with friends, but there are definitely better pubs with a more authentic selection.

Went in on two different days, took a table with the wife to order food... was completely ignored by the staff, even after using the "call waiter" on their online menu. After 10 minutes on both occasions we just gave up and left. The place was slow in both instances, with staff seemingly caught up in flirting and chit-chat.

Spent St Paddy's Day here and had an absolute blast. Highly suggest it. I'll definitely be spending a lot of time here on future trips haha

10€ for a pint of Guinness… incredibly expensive place even though the bar itself has as much character as a bus ticket. If you would like to watch the rugby don’t visit this place there will be no sound and terrible music playing. A real shame. I can’t believe they call this an Irish pub. Please look elsewhere.

Dirty, they are not needed at the table and they don't even clean them between guests. There are so many tourists in Amsterdam that they can afford to treat them poorly. If you have to choose a pub, go elsewhere

I totally did not like this Bar. Staff was not friendly. Cider tasted like a drip tray. Disgusting. The Pint of Guinness wasn't the right temperature. Do not recommend.

Was there on New Year's Eve. Food and service mediocre, but there were two younger gentlemen there (one with long curly black-gray hair) who I know from Insta. Real celebrity shed. Cool atmosphere!

Only one non alcoholic option other than soft drinks. Had a coke and couldn't tell if it was the glass or maybe the pipes from the hose the coke was poured from but it smelt old and musty.

Cozy pub in the center of Amsterdam, they recommended some good beers to us. And they made us feel comfortable, although it is not very cheap.
