Great food for a great price, the place is always packed. And for good reason!

I've been coming here for 45 years, and the food and atmosphere are always fantastic! The price-quality ratio is also excellent. It's an affordable option. I always go home happy!

Nice place, nice space, but the food was disappointing. This is supposed to be "the Italian restaurant of Alphen," but I found it quite disappointing. I've been there twice, and the first time I had a lasagna, which was so small, I finished it in a few bites. Such a shame if you're still hungry after dinner. And the second time I had a much-overcooked steak with gorgonzola sauce that was cold. Not great. I did pay a hefty price, though.

A place where you can enjoy delicious Italian pizza. They also have other dishes like spaghetti and other pastas. They also have delicious desserts like ice cream. It does take a while to get served, though, as it's often busy.

Always delicious food and great staff! The difference between 2019 and 2025 is enormous. The food is fine, but it's so noisy, and the staff is completely unresponsive. I ordered a case of water, and the waiter immediately left. So I couldn't order a glass of wine or anything else, and the person I was with hadn't even had a chance to say what they wanted.

I felt it was all a bit rushed, as if the table we had reserved had to be filled with other guests as quickly as possible. The food was also put on the table very quickly one after the other, which was a bit of a shame.

The appetizer (bruschetta), pizza, and pasta were delicious, the service very attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere authentic. If the desserts are up to par (unfortunately, we had the worst tiramisu ever), the visit would be perfect all around ☺️

I went out for dinner last Wednesday to celebrate graduating and ended up at Is Morus. It turned out to be a fantastic choice! The service was excellent: incredibly friendly, with an open attitude, and easy to talk to. The food was also definitely delicious, and the prices were very reasonable! The icing on the cake was a festive cake (a lemon, surrounded by whipped cream) as a congratulatory gesture—for me, the real highlight of the day. So, once again, to the lovely waitress who arranged this: thank you so much!

I ordered pickup yesterday, and it was supposed to be ready at 7:00 PM. I arrived at 6:55 PM and was told it would be ready in about 10 minutes, but it wasn't until 7:20 PM that the order was ready. We would have appreciated a call to let us know the order wouldn't be ready at 7:00 PM, but later. My burrata wasn't there either, but luckily I realized this quickly, so I went back inside. The pizzas themselves were delicious, but I wasn't so impressed with the service.

You step in and think, how nice… Waiters speak Italian, the guy behind the oven making the pizza also. So you think - this going to be molto buono -> in short not so molto buono. The focaccia tasted like defrosted bread, stale and dry. One of the pizza’s had a hair baked in it. When the owner heard this when asking us if we wanted to take the pizza’s home, all he did was put on a frustrated face and took the plates away. No apology, no further questions on how to make it right, nothing… That kind of summarizes this dinner it was pretty worthless, I think the many house flies that kept on landing on the drinks and food enjoyed it the most.

What a disappointment... we thought we would celebrate our wedding anniversary in a nice way, we have been coming here for 13 years. We had made a reservation so that should be fine... not so! We were taken to some kind of attached room, a small table half against the wall and curtain. The pizza calzone was tasteless and I left it after a few bites. My husband had the pasta olio aglio peperoncino.... as bland as a towel. The door we were half sitting in front of was opened because people were hot... we were blown away by a cold wind. We left everything there and paid... done with it!! Lost customer is Morus.... Afterwards we got some fries at Bram Ladage...

Had dinner here on a regular Thursday evening. Luckily I had made a reservation because the place was full. Very busy, so a lot of noise. I wouldn't have a romantic dinner for 2 here. It takes a long time for your order to be taken, but once that has happened your food comes very quickly. The seasonal garnish consisted of 6 halved cherry tomatoes and the service did not indicate that pasta or something similar was not served with the meat and fish. Once home I saw that this should have been ordered separately. Missed opportunity by the restaurant. Desserts were excessive, so that still satisfied my hunger somewhat. Quality of the food is good.

Really a fan of is morus normally unfortunately tonight was disappointing. Soggy pizza that fell apart and was folded, and the 2nd pizza tasted different than normal (less cheese maybe), next time better!

Is Morus. Special...delicious freshly prepared food, you really feel like you are in Italy. People also speak Italian, some English, but very nice, the garden is also very cozy. Wonderful pizzeria in the middle of Alphen aan den Rijn. Thin, super tasty pizza, large selection. Super tasty original spaghetti carbonara. We made reservations in advance but were delayed due to traffic jams but called. Although the restaurant was full to the last seat, they simply postponed our reservation accordingly so that we were still able to enjoy the evening in a great atmosphere despite the delay. Great restaurant, absolutely recommended.

Definitely a place for delicious food in an Italian atmosphere

Out of nostalgic memories we ate here with the now adult children. We used to come here for the casual atmosphere with the children. The atmosphere is still great but we found the food to be a bit bland in taste. Ordering drinks was very difficult. The second drink came when the main course was almost finished. Go there again and hope to experience the fun of the past again.

I am no longer an Alphen resident, but I still had a craving for the pizzas from Is Morus. Unfortunately, the pizza bases are no longer the same as they used to be, so that was a deep disappointment. The staff doesn't really care about you either, I've only walked there twice myself. Too bad Morus. Fortunately, the price wasn't too bad.
