Overall, the food was great. My pizza arrived later, after everyone else had already been served. It turned out they'd forgotten my pizza. It happens, but it wasn't a problem. We were offered a free round of drinks as compensation, which was neatly resolved until we went to pay... It turned out they hadn't mentioned that we'd be getting a free round of drinks, which can happen too. Only the (I think it was the owner) argued with the person we were paying about why we'd been promised those drinks, and that she thought the wait wasn't too bad, and that she had some doubts about whether we should have received them at all. I find that quite unprofessional and not customer-friendly.

This is the most tasteless food I've ever had. The only thing that was decent was the bread. The pizzas are just ridiculous, wooden with tasteless ingredients. It looks and tastes absolutely disgusting. The pizza with Bolognese ragout looked like a dog barfed in it. And the taste was salty and boring. The calzone was equally gross. It's a shame, but the average deep frozen pizza is even better. The spaghetti is nothing interesting. The scaloppa was dry and tasteless. The desserts are uninventive, boring and the chocolate lava cake tastes like mashed potatoes and cheap chocolate. Even the espresso was disgusting. It's just incredible.

The pizza was delicious. The dessert was smaller than you usually get, but I actually like that. I spent €30 on pizza, one drink, and dessert, so nothing wrong with that. The welcome from a young employee was very friendly. I found the table service curt and grumpy, which is something to be gained! The seating inside is quite cramped, and I found the music way too loud to have a normal conversation.

We were unfortunately disappointed in this restaurant. The pizzas were far below par. The crust was burnt and some of the toppings were cold, which certainly didn't meet what you'd expect from a Frutti di Mare. This was our first, but definitely our last, visit.

My daughter and a friend and her daughter had a wonderful meal here after a wonderful afternoon of ice skating in Groningen. The service was excellent again, and the staff were friendly. The pizza makers were also very friendly and great.

During the TT festival we had a quick bite to eat with 2 kids. We had a pizza 🍕 Margarita, pizza 🍕 Rucola, penne Arabica and a spaghetti bolognese. And everyone had a drink (2 x cola, 1 x ice tea, 1 x non-alcoholic 🍺). Total of €92.50. The food tasted great. Nothing wrong with it! But the taste did fade a bit when we got the bill! I understand that the prices during the TT festival are a bit higher. But why a menu with a sticker on each price with the 'TT price' on it? The old prices can still be read through the sticker. A pizza 🍕 Margarita for €15 euros???? And a rucola for €24???? I think that is a bit out of proportion... I later heard from someone that you had to pay €40 for a scaloppa???? Ergo: it was tasty, but too expensive!

The pizza was quite tasty, but unfortunately, due to the 100th anniversary of the Assen TT, it was more expensive. The "likely" price was taped up and overwritten; we unfortunately noticed it too late because we had already ordered drinks, which were billed at 0.5 liters, but not filled that way and served in plastic cups. Unfortunately, the tourist was a real rip-off. So be careful and check it out first if there are such events coming up.

I've been coming here since 1988 and the pizzas are still delicious. And also nice, open on Mondays. Fast and friendly service. The rock hard seats of the chairs are a little less comfortable, a cushion would be nice. Or just new upholstered chairs....

We were seated in an uninviting, very warm room on the first floor, the beer was dead, the service was stressed, we had to wait a very long time for the pizzas and in the end they also resembled a wet, limp piece of dough.

1 star for the pizzas. Rest is not worthy of a star. The service is extremely bad. It was not possible to sit inside, the answer was short: "only outside", there was only one wobbly table available, there was still some rubbish left, but it was not taken away afterwards. Then it took a very long time before we were helped, and when we asked if there was baguette with garlic sauce, we were bluntly answered "there isn't". We then opted for baguette with herb butter, but after waiting 45 minutes, if not longer, we only got our pizzas. We immediately indicated this and received a simple answer. "Oh, I'll take it off the bill." The staff outside was talking to people at the entrance more than doing their job. Certainly not worth repeating. We were there for almost 2 hours and only had 1 drink and 1 pizza during that time.

Nice restaurant with a decor that makes you feel like you're in Italy. The Italian music is pleasant as a background. Very nice and attentive service. The staff enjoys it. The pizzas are really classy! Deliciously crispy base and richly topped with mostly fresh ingredients. My partner's gluten-free pizza was also very tasty. According to her, the tastiest gluten-free pizza ever. The bill was surprisingly affordable. We will come here more often!

Great restaurant for delicious Italian food. I have never been disappointed with the quality of the food or service.

Italian restaurant. In addition to pizzerias, there are also other specialties on the menu. Their lasagna al forno is one of my favorites. What I particularly like about the restaurant is the space around you. Some pizzerias seem a bit cramped due to the closely spaced tables and chairs. Not at this restaurant. There is also nothing to criticize about the staff. Friendly and helpful.

We had a delicious meal at Isolabella again tonight. That wasn't the issue. But afterwards we noticed that my menu in particular: Scallopina with Gorgonzola sauce, was a stripped-down version of what I was used to. Less meat, no sandwiches, some fries. The salad was separately on the bill for 1.50. What passed for salad was quite amusing. 1 olive, 1 slice of carrot, 3 slices of cucumber, a teaspoon of corn kernels and some leafy vegetables. This poverty was presented in a container the size of a teacup. All this for 26.50. Everything is becoming more expensive everywhere, but you can also go too far.

The ice creams are fantastic, they serve whipped cream with what falls apart on the plate, not my type of sport I ordered spaghetti alla carbonara and my husband ordered alla carbonara with tagliatelle, a little later a waitress came to announce that tagliatelle could not be delivered. Waiter's response, this was not communicated to me? So both spaghetti….. Ordered dessert…. My husband said again about the ice cream. We cannot deliver your choice, then it is ready, I asked for the bill for two seconds, then they arrived with my ice cream and my husband was allowed to choose another one, but not. They canceled the order nicely, only the waitress could have paid with a friendlier face. Unfortunately that didn't happen, too bad, we will always drive well to Zuidlaren in the future!

The pizza was tasty. The service sometimes took a bit long. We still did not receive the drinks after 15 minutes of ordering. And it was very busy. Inside looks nice, but it is very noisy when busy, hard to follow conversations. Food is nice, portionsizes are large, but the taste is very 'Dutch'. Also, if you order a dish with sauce, your dish will actually be drowning in sauce. For me that's a negative. My pizza was nice, but had too many toppings, made the whole thing sag and difficult to eat. Again, an overtopped pizza night be great for some, but a negative for me. Staff was friendly enough, but undertrained and overworked.

It gave me a bit of stress about choosing, but yes, a luxury problem. When bringing the meal, the servers only mentioned the number of the pizza, which I didn't remember, lol. So they asked which number belonged to which name because we had all ordered similar pizzas. My pizza was okay, but very salty. Crust was perfect. The pizzas are quite large, but you can request a smaller one for a 1 euro discount. It is not possible to choose a half and half pizza.

Had a very nice meal with an "old" colleague and both partners. It was quite busy and we were immediately warned that the food could take half an hour to 45 minutes. But we often experience this without warning. And if you have a tasty starter, it won't be too bad. Despite the crowds, we could hear each other well. My Scaloppa with Gorgonzola was delicious but quite filling. Portion with fries and lettuce was too big after that tasty starter. The pizzas were also well filled and tasty. Management was well coordinated and busy.

Excellent pizzas that are on the table fairly quickly, but the staff made it very difficult to sit inside with 5 people on a quiet day at a quiet time. The entire restaurant inside was pretty much empty except for 1 or 2 other tables. However, we were forced to sit outside on the terrace. It was not a warm day and although there were heaters on the terrace, I still found it chilly outside. A bit disappointing that they couldn't accommodate us inside.

Isolabella in Assen undoubtedly offers the tastiest pizzas in the city. Their delicious dishes are always served with a smile and excellent service. We come here regularly and are spoiled time and time again with tasty meals and attentive staff. Moreover, in summer the terrace is the perfect place to enjoy the sun and the atmosphere. An absolute must for anyone who loves authentic Italian dishes!

Spontaneously at 5:15 PM to come and eat, we were able to get a table, but until 7 PM because of other guests. It didn't seem to go well. The man who showed us the table seemed arrogant. Couldn't get rid of a friendly smile. Food was ok, scaloppa gorgonzola a bit bland.

Actually, I didn't want to give a star at all. Last night the two of us spontaneously walked in and found 3 empty 4-person tables downstairs, all for 2 people. covered, without a reserved sign on it. But there was no room there for us! We were directed upstairs, where we saw another 4-person table for 2 people. covered, without reservation on it. But instead we had to sit at a small two-person table, bulkhead in between, where we sat shoulder-to-shoulder with the other couple on the other side of the bulkhead. We then decided to go to the larger space behind the bar. There were 3 4-person tables occupied by 2 guests each, there was another 4-person table, set for 2, not reserved, but we still had to sit at one of those much too small 2-person tables, where I the chair was always in the aisle of the service and my friend could not move her chair back when other guests came there. We then decided to go to the other, unreserved table, but the haughty lady came back and snapped at us: I told you to sit at THAT table! This was done well, but within half a minute we decided to leave. We won't let ourselves be treated like that, what is she thinking! They won't see us there again. Keep it up and you can close the store.

We were in this restaurant yesterday. The service is just terrible, we came at 21:30 and were immediately told in a mocking tone that they were closing in an hour, although the restaurant is open until 23:00. But that's not all, not only did the waitress openly laugh at us, because an hour and a half before closing, it turned out that they had no pasta. We ordered one pizza for two people, but unfortunately you can't divide one pizza into two, we had to order two, which were very salty and not tasty. I absolutely do not recommend this place if you don't want to be laughed at, kicked out early and not fed well...

First of all: I can't rate the food because we didn't get that far. I would like to explain the incredible service. On the afternoon of October 19, 2023 we returned with three hungry children. We learned right away that all guests in the restaurant have to order something to eat. Drinks alone are not enough. However, we parents were not hungry. That didn't fit. We assured that we would clear the table immediately after eating and that the children would finish quickly. That was rejected. The take-away of food was also refused. Now we parents decided to also order something to eat so that we could continue. The waitress left for a moment. When she returned, she told us that we had to vacate the seats now. The boss's children would be coming soon and would need the table. So we left the pizzeria with our disappointed children. It was humiliating. Dear owner, that was pathetic behavior. As holidaymakers we wouldn't have become regular guests, but we would have been happy about the good hospitality. Now our children have at least received a lesson about bad character. Thanks for that.

We recently had a spontaneous meal here with a group of 8 on a Sunday afternoon/evening. We were placed upstairs, in the back where it was completely empty. My husband went looking for the staff twice to order something, but unfortunately they did not come (often or quickly enough) on their own. In addition, there was no music at the beginning and later in the evening loud music suddenly came on, which was too loud to comfortably talk to each other. The food was good, my husband had a pasta and I had a pizza. Excellent quality for the price. But I wouldn't go back, you can get much better food for the same price or a few euros more.

Meat dish was delicious. Just a piece of meat on a large plate, without attention to layout. Too bad that for this fairly expensive price of food, you have to order/pay for your salad separately. So not standard at a dinner. If you order fish, you only get fries. It's not about the 1.50, it's about the idea. Too bad, the previous owner was better in terms of service.
