Italiaans Restaurant Angelo`s in Wijk 04 Egmond aan Zee

The food is really great. Very tasty and plentiful. Unfortunately, we had a less than ideal experience with the service. After we asked the server an hour after ordering if the kitchen had forgotten us, we were told, after a brief consultation, that the food would be on its way immediately. It then took another 15 minutes for it to arrive. An open approach to this oversight – these things happen – and an apology would have been perfectly sufficient. Unfortunately, the situation was completely ignored and simply brushed aside. This is no way to treat guests. But I suppose there will be plenty of other tourists coming. Therefore, it's a real shame that I can only give the service one star...

The pizza and pasta are delicious and highly recommended! The prices are a bit high, but that's due to the restaurant's location right on the town's central square and in the tourist area. During peak season, the restaurant is incredibly crowded, and reservations are absolutely essential! Unfortunately, the service is somewhat overwhelmed due to the high volume of guests, but this isn't the fault of the staff; it's simply that there are too few employees to handle too many customers. Nevertheless, I recommend this restaurant!

Great restaurant, right in the heart of the beautiful village of Egmond aan Zee. I only have a few minor complaints. The pizza crust is rock hard. Sometimes you just leave the crust off because it's so hard. It's really difficult to get the pizza cut if you ask. The knives are too dull; you'd break out in a sweat trying to cut it in the sun. Honestly, anyone who eats pizza with a knife and fork has made a mistake in life. For two people, including tip, it was a hefty €50 for two pizzas and a 0.33l drink. A bit of a rip-off in my opinion, but oh well. Otherwise, I really like the place. I recommend the Pizza Pollo pikante, which, by the way, I received incorrectly because the waiter didn't understand me.

I've been there regularly for years, but today after criticism of the mediocre pizza (employee confirmed that it was late and there wasn't much topping left), it was rudely dismissed by the boss, who was supposedly not there before: we should go somewhere else... We know the boss and Some of the staff have been doing this for years and this kind of behavior is simply not acceptable. We will never eat there again.

We have been regular customers for 10 years, we ate pizza there every twice a year, always the same. Now we were there again and ordered as usual, it was later in the evening and the pizza we got had hardly any toppings, instead it was dry dough. We ate the pizza but also expressed friendly criticism about the food. The waiter told us rather rudely that it was already later in the evening, so there wasn't enough toppings left for the pizza. We also couldn't express criticism to the boss because she was already at home. After we had paid for the pizza, the boss, who wasn't at home but was sitting in the restaurant, spoke to us and simply said to our criticism that we could go to another restaurant... That really bothered us, especially with regular customers is dealt with, more than bad treatment. We certainly won't be visiting the restaurant again; apparently there is no politeness or attentiveness towards long-time customers, but rather impudence is the style. The restaurant probably doesn't need any regular customers because it gets enough of it from walk-in tourists. On the way to the toilet I noticed that the toilet hygiene no longer met any standard. The toilets were a mess, no paper and heavily dirty. Disgusting. After all these years and our regular visits to Angelo's, we are very affected and disappointed by the poor condition of the food, the hygiene of the restaurant and the unfriendly behavior of the staff and the boss herself. Therefore we cannot award a star, that would be unfair to anyone who expects quality food, service or toilet hygiene there.

We were told take away would take half an hour. Would have to wait on the bench outside on the market square. After an hour they were always not ready. When asked, the cheeky answer was that it was half an hour. When I said I had been waiting for an hour I was told wait. Never again.

Ordered pizza. Had to wait 45 minutes in the cold. My daughter and I asked again after 30 minutes and were not allowed to wait inside despite the wind and cold. Money yes, service upon collection no.

The pizza is very, very good, that's all. The restaurant is centrally located on the market square and is always packed. Therefore, it takes 30 minutes for the order to be taken and another 45 minutes for the food to be delivered. The service also seems rather strained and there are noticeably not enough employees, and apparently not everyone is allowed to do everything. Apparently only the boss takes orders and when you ask after being ignored for 30 minutes, you are told that there are other customers there too. Well thank you, a saying like that doesn't work at all in the catering industry. Overall, it is quite narrow in the restaurant and the tables in front of the restaurant are also very narrow, which makes everything seem cramped and hectic. Prices have risen enormously in recent years; a Hefeweizen (not an Erdinger!) costs 8.40 euros! In summary: Good food if you have a lot of time and are stress-resistant.

The lady who seemed to be the owner/manager was very unfriendly. When you ask a normal question for a place, you get a snarky and antisocial answer. This woman clearly has no interest in guests and this does not seem to be a suitable job for her. This is by far from a good hostess and therefore not worth spending money on.

Ordered 2 pizzas online for pickup. Once we arrived and paid, we were asked to wait on a bench on the square for our order. This was a wooden bench that did not belong to the restaurant. (weird and unfriendly). Ordered the pizzas before 7:00 PM and received them at 7:09 PM. Perhaps because we had to wait in the middle of the square, and this made it more difficult for people to find us? ... When we finally got home (4 minutes walking distance) the pizzas were already ice cold. Shame. Disappointed in both the food and the customer service.

Worst catering experience I have ever had in the Netherlands. Long wait before anyone even comes to the table. Eventually a middle/older-aged woman arrives who passive-aggressively comes to sort the menu cards only to leave immediately. Comes back after a few minutes and immediately throws cutlery on the table. When we indicated that we only wanted something to drink, the cutlery was snatched away with a huge attitude and arrogance, where we were told that they were only open for dinner in the evening and that we should find a place next door. This may of course be the case, but I have never been spoken to so disrespectfully. What do you do in the hospitality industry when you clearly don't have a hospitable bone in your body?

Very central restaurant in the middle of the city. The food was quite tasty and the prices were okay for a tourist area. Our waitress was extremely friendly, but unfortunately we noticed the lack of staff. All in all a nice restaurant that you can definitely visit.

Restaurant with a beautiful outdoor area. The selection of drinks and food was very good... the staff was super friendly and attentive. Our orders were served promptly. The dishes were freshly prepared and were very tasty. Starter = TOP Pizza Parma = excellent Pasta dish = good, could have been hotter Recommended!

Overall the food was okay. The drinks were delivered quickly. Big drawback: we had ordered a small starter, which meant we had to wait a total of 90 minutes for the main course. After asking, the main course would probably only be served in the kitchen as soon as the starter plate was cleared away. Hence the recommendation to forego a starter or to be patient.

Since I've been to Italy, I hardly eat in an Italian restaurant in the Netherlands anymore, but I like to make an exception for Angelo's.

Had Carnivore pizza here for the first time, compliments to the chef and service It was noisy because of a table with small kids and parents. I also liked the atmosphere, it was completely full.

We came in and were not yet seated at the table, and immediately the menu was placed in front of us, we had not yet taken off our coats and we were immediately asked what we wanted to drink. It would be nice if we could first sit down and take a look at the menu. We had 2 pizzas, both were soggy and you couldn't hold a pizza slice in your hand, so the fork and knife were included?? And no pizza cutter, we will never come back here.

Looks nice, but very expensive for what you get! We paid €35 ​​for a bottle of prosecco. That's not a problem if it is a good bottle of course, but we got one from the supermarket for €7.99. The pizzas were also nothing special unfortunately. *At the better restaurants a good bottle of prosecco costs €29.

This weekend I brought the dog with me and he was difficult, tired, overstimulated. So quickly pick up a pizza at Angelo's. I was allowed to wait on the closed terrace with my dog. The heaters were on so it was very pleasant. pizza came quickly and was hot and well topped. Really tasty and very service minded staff.

Delicious spaghetti carbonara and tagliatelle siciliana served with an insalata mista. A glass of primitivo made it complete. Finally, Affogato for dessert, also tasted excellent. Portions are more than sufficient and you can order a smaller one if you wish. Next time in Egmond we will come here again.

We have been to Egmond aan Zee before and to Angelo's Restaurant. The last time we had a pizza here, the pizza was generously topped with cheaper ingredients such as mushrooms, peppers and onion. You had to look around for the more expensive ingredients. Nevertheless, we went here again and ordered a pizza without the cheaper ingredients. The pizzas are large and well filled. You can also order a smaller pizza. Then you get a €3.00 discount. You can also share 1 pizza with two people and then you pay € 3.00 extra. So you pay €3.00 for an extra plate. You pay extra for extra ingredients on your pizza. However, if you remove three ingredients from your pizza, you still have to pay for these ingredients. We had made a reservation, although it turned out not to be necessary. It wasn't busy. When booking you cannot request a specific table or a specific corner. The furnishings on the heated outdoor terrace look attractive. Even at the beginning of January, people don't often eat outside. The interior decor is old-fashioned. It is sleek and attention has been paid to it, but it is not a cozy Italian interior. The staff tries their best to be friendly.

Zelf ben ik een ongelooflijk moeilijke eter en geniet zelden van eten. Omdat pasta wel in mijn beperkte lijst staat en we in Egmond waren toevallig hier binnen gelopen. Kan u vertellen dat ik 7 jaar na dato nog steeds terugdenk aan het eten en de ervaring en van dicht tegen de Belgische grens overweeg om terug te gaan voor even een maaltijd. Wat een kundige mensen en smaakvolle ervaring. Hoop hier spoedig weer eens te kunnen eten!

Beste Pizza ever, 🍕, die Meeresfrüchte ist absolut lecker 😋, eigentlich jede Pizza, war zweimal dort, die Lasagne absolut lecker, nur zu empfehlen und wäre auch ein drittes mal dort hingegangen, leider Ruhetag. Toller und freundlicher Service und alles andere war auch perfekt.

Ich habe mich sehr auf den Abend gefreut. Ein schönes Essen beim Italiener im Urlaub. Wir kamen mit unseren Hund ( sonst überall in Egmond Willkommen ) beim Italiener an. Die erste Frage war von der Betreiberin vermutlich : Ob unser Hund nass ist denn ansonsten müssten wir draußen Platz nehmen denn Hundebesitzer merken nicht wenn ihr eigener Hund stinkt. Wir waren trocken in das Restaurant angekommen also durften wir drinnen dann nun Platz nehmen. Die anderen Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und die Pizza war ok. Ich würde nicht wiederkommen ,da es für mich selbstverständlich ist ordentlich in ein Restaurant zu gehen mit Hund. Wir können es nicht nachvollziehen was Sie zu so einer Aussage getrieben hat. Schade! Wir werden einfach das nächste Mal woanders hingehen, wo wir beide Willkommen sind ;)

Das nette Personal hat uns leider nicht erreicht... Einen Burger sollte man beim Italiener lieber nicht essen, dafür wurde mir erzählt das die Lasagne sehr lecker war und Carbonara auch.

Gutes Essen, serviert vom grummeligen Stiebruder von Attilla dem Hunnenkönig Update 2022: sehr leckere Pizza gegessen. Leider sind die beiden blonden Grazien aka Bedienungen extrem langsam und unaufmerksam, was unnötige Wartezeiten erzeugt. Essen: 5*, Service: 2* Update 2023: Die Pizza 4 Formaggio war eine glatte 10/10. Die superfreundliche, extrem aufmerksame und bildhübsche Bedienung auch. Ich komme gerne wieder ☺️

Wunderbar familiäre Atmosphäre. Die Chefin des Hauses war stets überall präsent und sehr aufmerksam. Auch bei einer Reklamation durch uns wurde direkt und mit freundlichen Worten das Gericht erneut zubereitet. Unsere Empfehlung: das Gorgonzola-Risotto und danach einen Stravecchia-Grappa. Auch Kindern gegenüber wurde absolut Verständnisvoll reagiert und direkt etwas zum Malen gebracht. Die Preise sind einen Ferienort entsprechend etwas erhöht aber noch absolut angemessen für die Menge und Qualität.

Top Pizza, perfekte Penne. Wir sind ohne Reservierung gekommen und haben, trotz vollem Restaurant, einen Platz für zwei bekommen. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Für unseat alles perfekt. 👍

Preis/Leistung so Olala Sanitärbereich läßt zu wünschen übrig😵Da das Restaurant sehr gut besucht war, sollte man die Toilettenanlage öfters kontrollieren, da es unter uns Zweibeiner gibt die es nicht gelernt haben mit einem Urinal oder einer Toilettenschüssel umzugehen.

Het eten was heerlijk en de service was goed alleen ik moest anderhalf uur wachten op mijn eten niet normaal.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant. Wir mussten leider eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten, jedoch war das den Umständen geschuldet. und daher akzeptabel. (Es explodierten Glasgefäße wie auch Porzellanware und eine Kellnerin begoss sich mit Scharfersoße.) Ein Spektakel das seines gleichen sucht. Trotzdem sehr lecker!

Ik lees zeer wisselende reviews, maar wij hebben erg lekker gegeten. Alles smaakte heerlijk en vers en de medewerkers waren heel vriendelijk. Ondanks de drukte werd de moeite genomen een plek aan te bieden. Op eten ben ik kritisch, maar dat was gewoon goed! Voor mij DE Italiaan van Egmond a Zee!

Es hat eigentlich alles gepasst. Essen (Pizza, Pasta und Lasagne) war sehr schmackhaft und ausreichend. Nettes Personal und der Blick auf den kleinen Platz mit Restaurants und Geschäften rundeten den Restaurantbesuch ab. Allerdings empfand ich 6,80 € für ein 0,5er Glas Heineken als doch sehr überteuert. Man möchte sich nicht vorstellen nach dem Urlaub für einen Kasten Heineken 136,00 € im Markt seines Vertrauens zu bezahlen.😉

Heerlijk gegeten, bruschetta, uiensoepje, pizza, pasta, en als toetje hadden we Nutella pizza. Alles smaakte heerlijk. Deels open keuken dus je kon zien hoe je eten bereid wordt. Vriendelijk personeel. Italiaanse koks in de keuken, dus echt Italiaanse gerechten. Schone toiletten, vind ik ook erg belangrijk. Gewoon top echte aanrader.

Super leckere Pizza und total freundliche Bedienung. Wir kommen wieder.
