Italiaans Restaurant Pizzeria Pepe in Jordaan

We sauntered past Pepe on a cold Saturday and were so happy we did! We were greeted with such warmth. The Lambrusco was perfectly chilled and bubbly, but the mixed pasta was soooo amazing! It’s a fun dish with all of their staples: lasagna, cannelloni, tortellini and ravioli smothered with creamy tomato sauce and baked with cheese. We practically licked the bowl clean with the warm house bread. Very cute family owned place! Would recommend.

Sat outside, enjoying a glass of wine and a delicious salami pizza. Very friendly people.

It's called an Italian restaurant, but it has nothing to do with Italy. The pizza is terrible, the carbonara doesn't have eggs, but at least the waiter immediately tells you that the carbonara doesn't have eggs in it.😂😂

At first, we were hesitant to step into this pizzeria because it was completely empty, which already felt suspicious. We decided to return later only because all the nearby restaurants were full. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible choice. We ordered a quattro formaggi pizza, but the ingredients were clearly not fresh. Shortly after eating, we both felt unwell and ended up with food poisoning. The experience was extremely disappointing and unpleasant. If a restaurant can’t guarantee basic food safety, it shouldn’t be open to customers at all. Definitely not a place I would ever recommend or return to.

What a relief! After our reservation at Blauwe Pan had gone awry, we walked into Pepe's. After a single phone call, a table for eight was neatly prepared. The chef and staff were incredibly sweet, spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The food was delicious, the selection was enormous, and everything tasted wonderful. There were only two of them, and I still can't understand how that was handled so smoothly in that tiny kitchen. One person had to leave early, so she got her delicious pizza right away. So well organized. The prices were also more than reasonable! And right in the heart of the Jordaan district! Highly recommended! I/we will definitely be back.

This restaurant is without a doubt one of the best in Amsterdam, I went on vacation and found this restaurant, I decided to try the lasagna since it is one of my favorite dishes, and it certainly did not disappoint me. The tiramisu is also delicious and the portion is very good. The service was excellent, the man who serves is very friendly. If I return to Amsterdam for anything in the world I will miss eating here again.

Inexpensive restaurant, located in a pretty, quiet alley. We had the cannelloni and the spaghetti della'casa and we enjoyed ourselves! The server was really lovely I recommend!

A real insider tip it seems! We only ended up here because all the other restaurants had no space left... Instead we found our way here and got a spot straight away as it was relatively empty. We thought oh no... But we were pleasantly surprised! Super nice service and fresh food. The pizza really tasted really Italian with thin, very tasty dough and delicious tomato sauce and toppings. Not too heavy and greasy as it often is. Really like Italian pizza! The Pasta al Tonno portion was a bit small, it didn't fill me up, but it was incredibly tasty. The fish taste wasn't too overpowering and at the same time the sauce wasn't too tomatoey but a great combination. The waiting time was a little longer, but I see that as a positive because the food came to the table hot and fresh. All in all a top recommendation! Would come here again and again.

What an experience this restaurant is. Just before we ordered, I said jokingly...imagine, maybe this food is insanely delicious. And so it happened. We shared the mozzarella salad which was tasty. Then we happened to choose the same dish: canneloni and so the friendly clerk suggested: choose 1 mixed pasta from the oven and 1 canneloni. And we did. Perfectly adente pasta delicious with tasty filling and sauce. And then the absolute icing on the cake: the homemade Tiramisu...Madonna bellisima! Good price-quality ratio, highly recommended. Ahee!

The lasagna is incredible! Homemade bread is fresh and fluffy. We also got the Italian cheese appetizer and it was very fresh and tasty.

Quaint little place. I had a pizza with spicy salami, an espresso, and the tiramisu. The pizza and espresso were great but the tiramisu was a bit underwhelming. The staff were friendly and the decor is lively .

Italian food made by some very pleasant Turkish guys. Interesting decor and situated in the heart of the Jordaan on one of the market streets.

Good food, but very poor service, it took a long time before our order was taken, the staff was friendly, but we had to make a lot of effort to get a dessert or order a drink even though the place was far from full. The staff had no feeling for serving. The rest of the food was fine!

Nadat ik de culinaire zaak pepe had betreden, waande ik mij in oud italië. Fantastische sferen gecombineerd met fenomenaal personeel gaf mij het gevoel dat ik nooit iets anders nodig had gehad. We namen plaats op het fenomenale buitenterras en waande ons werkelijk de koning van de stad (ookal zijn wij touristen). Nadat het personeel vooraf 5 limoncello aanboden, die overigens prima vielen op de 36 pils die ik al had gehad. Koos ik voor een pizza hawaii deluxe, uitstekende keuze!!!!! Nadat ik enorm had genoten van de beste pizza die mijn smaakpapillen ooit hebben mogen raken besloot ik te kiezen voor een halve liter bier, in mijn ogen het beste toetje! Na een gevecht met andere gasten op het terras (die wij overigens natuurlijk wonnen) zijn wij door gegaan naar cafe nol en hebben wij de beste avond van ons leven gehad! Ongetwijfeld in de top 5 avonden uit mijn leven! Onbetwist een 4 sterren ervaring!

PEPE, je kent het wel. Die ene pizzeria aan de Westerstraat. nNea is er niks bij. Je komt voor de goede service en de Le Pichet de Patron voor 19eu, maar wanneer je buiten dineert weet je weer waar je voor betaald. De antipasti zijn buitenaards, van een level wat je doet denken aan de kant en klare borrelmix van de Jumbo. Het feit dat mijn tafelgenoot deze na 10 minuten op straat wist te deponeren helpt niet mee aan de eetervaring. De limoncello maakte gelukkig alles goed. Al met al een Super gezellige avond en ik kom hier zeker weer! Zonder Julius dan wel. Tot dan! Groet D

We had green pasta, escargots, salami pizza. Then we returned again for spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna. All tasty and did not disappoint.

Nettes Personal. Generell ist das Restaurant eher wenig besucht im Vergleich zur Konkurrenz, wodurch es eine entspanntere Atmosphäre dort gibt. Nur leider hat die Pizza sehr pappig und nüchtern geschmeckt und es war ein Haar auf dem Belag. Auch die Nudeln waren leider sehr simpel gehalten. Daher nur die zwei Sterne.

Heerlijk gegeten voor een prima prijs met ontzettend aardige bediening.

Mooi italiaans gestijld restaurantje, aardige meneer en heerlijk eten, brood was onweerstaanbaar en calzone was binnen no time op echt heerlijk. Ook nog voor een goede prijs, zeker een aanrader!!

Nous sommes arrivés dans ce restaurant par hasard car le restaurant voisin était fermé. Nous étions seul dans le restaurant, quelques musiques italiennes passent en boucle, niveau ambiance, on a connu mieux... En ce qui concerne la nourriture, un plat de pâtes et une pizza, la qualité était au rendez-vous. Nous avons bien mangé. Le service était professionnel.

There are many many Italian restaurants in the centre of Amsterdam. I love Italian food so visit a lot of them . Some surprisingly good and some were very disappointing.. been to Pepe’s I think 5 times this month and they never disappoint. -Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Food = ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The interior has obviously Inca influences and Everytime I see something new . Sidenote it can take some time before your food is ready when it’s busy . But it will be worth your wait .
