The communication and service were excellent. The food, however, varied quite a bit in quality. Some sushi was surprisingly good, but unfortunately, not everything was fresh; the sushi was cold, which is usually not the case at the better all-you-can-eat restaurants. The cocktails were also a gamble: the Pornstar Martini was delicious, but the Mojito was a big disappointment. All in all, a great all-you-can-eat experience, as long as you keep your expectations a bit lower. Then you can definitely enjoy yourself here.

What a fantastic restaurant! 🌸 Everything from the fresh sushi to the flavorful grilled dishes was simply delicious. Everything was beautifully and thoughtfully presented, and you can immediately taste the quality: fresh, full of flavor, and prepared with care. I also want to give special praise to the staff: incredibly friendly, welcoming, and sociable, making you feel truly welcome. It makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. The combination of delicious food, beautiful presentation, and such a pleasant atmosphere makes this restaurant an absolute must-have. Five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and they more than deserve it!

My evening at Ixi Restaurant was truly unforgettable. From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped in a warm and refined atmosphere. The interior was stylishly decorated with subtle lighting and elegant decorations, which immediately created a sense of tranquility and comfort. All in all, it was an evening full of culinary delights and excellent service. I can't wait to return to Ixi!

One of the better AYCT sushi restaurants in Utrecht, but they use too much sauce on most of the dishes. This often makes things too sweet and makes it difficult to taste the actual fish. This is especially a shame because the fish seems of good quality and prepared well. I don't think they're trying to hide anything with the sauce. I'm afraid they're just trying to adjust to the western pallette...

First time eating there. We chose the specials menu (with all-you-can-eat sashimi, etc.). The salmon sashimi was very fresh and delicious. The sushi was also good. Some of the rolls with flambéed salmon and mayonnaise were quite heavy, though. Our favorites were the salmon sashimi, the grilled eel cheese, and the beef tataki. The hot dishes themselves weren't particularly special. The sweet and sour pork was even fried very dry, which was a bit disappointing. The Ebi Yaki, however, was very good. Overall, we would go back, but mainly for the sushi.

A very cozy restaurant. The food is quick and delicious. The staff keeps a close eye on whether you have enough drinks or dirty dishes. Highly recommended for anyone who visits, but be sure to bring your wallet.

The menu was extensive, but many dishes were unavailable. The salmon sushi also smelled terrible, the sushi was incredibly small, and almost all of each piece was filled with cucumber. The service was very good, and the rest of the food was delicious.

The food was delicious. Orders are brought to your table quickly. I do think the price is a bit steep for a 4-year-old. I'd prefer a price per year of age.

I've eaten at many sushi restaurants, but I've never had one as delicious as this one. The sushi is truly top-notch! I regularly take friends and family to this restaurant, and they're always impressed by the flavor and freshness. The only downside is that there are no halal options. But otherwise, I definitely recommend it for lovers of authentic, high-quality sushi!

Good food, friendly staff, fast service and therefore a nice experience

A very nice restaurant where we chose the Ixi All You Can Eat Special. We found the portions to be generous, giving you the opportunity to try many different dishes and perhaps even order a second time. The entire ordering process, including meals and drinks, is done digitally via a tablet. The drinks arrived super quickly, and the food didn't take long to arrive either. In total, we spent just under two hours there and tried a total of 24 small portions. All of them were beautifully presented and delicious. We would definitely visit this restaurant again; there's something for everyone.

Delicious and varied tapas. Order three (small) dishes at a time. They just don't tell you what they're serving. It's a pain if you don't know what you've ordered. Would be handy for a slightly culinary-challenged guest like me. 😉

Of course, there's the biggest pitfall of every all-inclusive restaurant: not knowing what was ordered. Occasionally, the photos don't match the actual order, so no one knows what it was. However, if you enjoy sharing, this shouldn't be a problem.

We had a disappointing impression of this restaurant before we actually ate there. We had a reservation for two people at 4:30 PM. When, due to unforeseen circumstances, we arrived 25 minutes late to the completely empty restaurant, we were immediately told that the time we were late would be deducted from the total time of 2.5 minutes and that we had to vacate the table by 7:00 PM. We had expected a more flexible approach on a quiet Wednesday evening. I understand that the table might have been booked again after us, but I can't imagine there was no other solution than to insist on the 7:00 PM closing time. We therefore decided to spend our money elsewhere, which we also managed to do very well near Ixi. We will not be using Ixi restaurant again. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated, and the menu stood out positively because of the beautiful glossy print that clearly had a lot of effort put into it. So, we still scored some points for the atmosphere. Unfortunately, we don't know anything about the food.

Food is delicious, service is very sweet. The co-owner really did everything perfectly. We indicated that we wanted to sit on the terrace, but unfortunately we could not make a reservation for that. Then we started inside at a table and after half an hour this man came to our table: 'moving service!' to put us on the terrace when there was room. Also changing chairs because of a sore back was no problem. Nice this!

The four of us had dinner at IXI and we were really surprised about the restaurant. The food is very tasty and fresh. The quality is super good and it is made to order. We were really surprised about how fast the food was there and about the quality. Definitely the best AYCE restaurant I have been to so far!

Had a list of restaurants, so I'm glad we decided on this one. Cannot fault anything, everything was amazing. Food, drinks, and atmosphere. Would definitely appreciate a branch in London, it would be full every day.

The restaurant is cozy and well spaced. Many sofas, which I personally enjoy. The staff is super efficient. They bring the food and clean the tables very fast. The concept for all you can taste is amazing for someone out to try multiple dishes at the same time. You order 3 things (sort of like tapas) every 8 minutes. You can hang around for about 2 hours, but you'll be full way before then. I managed to go through 15 dishes (5 rounds) and I was bursting at the seams. And mind you, I went for the "light" stuff like sashimi and Carpaccio. Every single dish was delicious and well presented. A marvel for both your eyes and your taste buds. Considering you can mix and match more than 150 dishes every time you visit, ranging from sushi to steaks, I would come and eat here every single day if I lived in Utrecht.

Based on the number of stars, we unfortunately expected more. It is a run-of-the-mill AYCE sushi restaurant, of which IXI is certainly not one of the better ones. The quality of the fish was mediocre, some hot dishes were cold and the flavors were bland. There are very limited vegetarian options. The atmosphere was okay; not too noisy and enough space between the tables. The service was fast, but otherwise you hardly have any contact with the staff.

Excellent dishes served in small portions, we really enjoyed the food there. However, the service and sfeer were far from perfect. The interior is very dark, mostly in black, nothing asian or japanese in there, tables are super small and uncomfortable, the waiters (apart from several nice ones) were passive agressive, unpolite and constantly giving angry looks. It just felt super uncomfortable to eat there. For these reasons I will never visit this restaurant again.

The reviews are wrong. Rice was way too wet (sticky rice) and too much. Beef rolls with bean sprouts are wrong. For what's on the menu, it's not worth the price. Not worth repeating.

Had a delicious meal here on Saturday evening. Orders via tablet. 3 p.p. per round, unlimited (2.5 hours). We took the standard menu, which offered plenty of choice. Smooth service, friendly employees. We were somewhat pushed away in a corner, but otherwise fine.

Honestly, I really don't understand the good reviews of this restaurant. The food is no better than the average all you can eat. Unfortunately for us it was worse and that was really due to the excessive use of MSG (flavor enhancer). I understand that this is a revenue model so that people drink more, but this is seriously unhealthy and anything but tasty! If you are looking for an all you can eat restaurant and want to go home without a stomachache or headache, avoid this one. Staff is nice, but that's really the only thing.

The food taste very good. Fast operation. You order yourself via a well-functioning tablet. We sat in a row of tables for 2, very close together. So a personal conversation or a romantic meal together is not pleasant. There are better places, just ask about this when making your reservation. Our first visit so for us this was the place. Reception could be a little nicer, perhaps because of the crowds. Even though the food is really good, we will leave it at a one-time visit. We think location, atmosphere and not checking your clock are important. Especially if the costs are a bit higher per person. You will receive a warning on the tablet that you can still sit at the table for another 30 minutes. Then someone comes along to tell us this. Understandable, you eat here on time.

I had dinner here with my girlfriend and it was really fantastic. She had been here before with friends and immediately said that we had to go here. I had high expectations, but they were even exceeded. The food came really quickly and it was very tasty. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was quiet, pleasant and cozy. The owner is very hospitable and attentive, he gave us a free cocktail, which was the icing on the cake. All in all highly recommended, we will definitely come back. 5 stars well deserved.

All you can eat restaurant furnished in a very elegant way, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, funny that it looks like a lounge bar but has hip hop rap music. The menu doesn't offer many foods but the few that are there have a nice presentation and a good flavour, made to order. For each person at the table you can place 3 orders every 7 minutes. The waiting times are short, the staff is kind and friendly, the food is of excellent quality, perhaps the prices a little above average but nevertheless it was a pleasant experience.

The atmosphere was good too. But tables are relatively close together, so you can watch each other. The food, the sushi: The sushis were not rolled tightly enough and were unfortunately a bit sparsely filled with fish. The special sushis were also relatively simple, which was absolutely not worth the extra price. For example, the eel on the special sushi was very thick, chewy and crusty. In short, the sushi had little finesse and sometimes lacked some flavor. And unfortunately, to my horror, I had three bones in my sashimi. I have never experienced that at any restaurant, it is also very dangerous. The food, the hot dishes: Some dishes were tasty. The salads were the most special, but that's not what you go to a sushi restaurant for. Many of the teppan yaki dishes were served with dry and cold mashed potatoes. We thought that was a bit strange. The sea bass was served with pesto (and a bone). Also very strange. The dishes that I did like: the kimchi sushi (which did not contain kimchi by the way), the Korean tbone steak, the chili shrimp. Unfortunately, there was always something to criticize about the rest. I would like to emphasize that it was nice that the portions were small, so we could try a lot. And we really tried to persevere to make it a nice review. Sorry guys, but purely because of the bones, there are already so many deductions. Positive: the desserts are really nice, for an additional charge of €2.90 you get a mega dessert! The matcha ice cream is not too sweet. The cheesecake is tasty, the base is a bit thick. But all in all a good addition for a small price!
