Het is niet het gezelligste restaurant van Utrecht, maar wel verreweg de beste sushi. Heerlijk vers en fijn in verhouding qua vis en rijst.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is not very special, but the food was delicious and the service was also good. Definitely recommended!

One of Utrecht’s hidden gems. Very friendly waitresses. And they even let us make our own sushi. Very family friendly.

Very cozy Japanese restaurant with saved cultured. Took Udon, Eel rolls, salmon and gyoza. Rolls here super big with a lot of fish inside.

The food is delicious! It is definitely advisable to also look at the side dishes, as they are also delicious. In terms of atmosphere it feels a bit less, luckily the food more than makes up for it!

Tonight we ordered sushi from Kyushu for the first time (normally order from another restaurant but wanted to try something different) and unfortunately it was really the worst sushi we had ever had... the dish that was supposed to be hot was cold, We didn't like the sushi, but above all: the sushi was really inedible: as soon as you grabbed a piece with the chopsticks, it fell apart... really impossible! When we then called to report this, they did not listen at all, but the lady was only defending herself. Not a good experience at all and a complete waste of money! We will just order from a different place next time.

Great service and ambiance. The food is okay. Portions are good but the karaage were small, more crust than chicken and fried in old oil. The miso soup and unagi tasted good but there is dry long rice instead of medium sticky rice. Weird wakame salad with wasabi.

Wowie! The dinner completely changed my life and opened my eyes. I have never eaten Japanese before and the food was so delicious. Everything was perfect, the atmosphere, the staff, the location and of course the excellent meals. Of the 78 restaurants in different countries that I have visited so far, this one is far above. I will 1000% definitely come back here and I recommend everyone to eat here. Thank you so much for this wonderful evening, this was really the highlight of my week.

Best local authentic Japanese place in Utrecht

Hidden gem. The sushi places around it are full, there is hardly anyone here. The sushi is only 10x better than the others, really a top place.

Ordered different Sushi from the menu on Wednesday. Usually they make decent sushi maybe on a less busy day sushi are not freshly prepeared. Everthing tasted blend, rice was hard and dry. A little disappointed cause I was a regular. Not anymore.

Upon arrival it took some time to switch gears. Where you get a tablet from the fast food Japanese and can eat a lot quickly. Just order this from the menu. After crossing that threshold. And now I wouldn't want it any other way. It was really great. Food was so delicious, good quality, quantities that were not spared. Definitely recommended, and we will not forget your restaurant.

I order 70 euros worth of sushi and 20 euros are not delivered. When this is reported I am called a liar. This can't be true. I have been a customer at the sushi restaurant for years, but this was the last time. I

Waited more than 90 minutes to get an order. It was expected to arrive with 45 minutes… They didn’t know where it was when we called. It would have be easier to go there, eat there, come back home

A gem among the often shouty competition in this street. Been there for years, great food all that time!

Not that tasty and expensive. If you have it delivered to your home you get free sushi, but not with a 50 euro lunch in the restaurant. Bento box is nice, but not tasty. Tempura is thick and dripping with fat, sometimes unclear what the filling was or if there was anything in it at all. Ramen is not great, broth is bland with no depth, noodles are great, but not much filling. Service is nice, but not more than just polite. Vegetables as a side dish are 2 yakitori sticks, but with three slices of zucchini, eggplant and something else with a sweet sticky sauce on top. Again, when I think of tempura I think of light, thin, crispy, not greasy oliebol. The teacup also had a crack in it. It all looks and tastes like you are eating with grandparents who are trying to make Japanese food, but have never been there themselves. By the way, this is through the only Japanese where you can have lunch, most don't open until 4:00 PM, so that speaks in their favor.

Best place to order sushi from. They make it fresh and all sushi rolls taste amazing. Very friendly staff and overal always a great meal from Kyushu!

Lovely place and staff. You feel like people are serving you as a guest in their own home. Food was amazing. Sadly I went there in my last day of the trip. I would have been there for dinner several times if I knew about this place before.

Voor de beste Sushi in Utrecht ga je naar Kyushu toe in Utrecht. Wij zijn helemaal gek op Sushi en zeker op dit restaurant! We hebben vaak Sushi bij andere niet nader te noemen Sushi restaurants gegeten maar Kyushu verslaat alles. Heerlijk eten voor een betaalbare prijs en altijd super snel geholpen door het vriendelijke personeel. Ga zo door en tot de volgende Sushi ronde zal ik zeggen.

The Lady who helped me and my friend was very kind and very friendly. We both have never eaten sushi before and she was very patient with us. Ze is enorm gastvrij en straalt een en al goedheid uit. Mijn tas was kapot gegaan en mevrouw heeft mij een tas gegeven die ik kon gebruiken. I recommend her a 100% to everyone. She is such a nice, sweet and lovely lady.

Buscando un restaurante de sushi pasamos junto a esta joya escondida y afortunadamente encontramos una mesa para 4 en el pequeño pero acogedor restaurante. El servicio fue excelente, muy amable y servicial. Pedimos una gran selección de todo tipo de sushi y sashimi. Todo fue de excelente calidad y llegó relativamente rápido. Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante como una alternativa a los lugares "todo lo que pueda comer". Kyushu es auténtico y la calidad del pescado fue realmente buena. ¡Definitivamente vamos a volver!

Vandaag eten laten bezorgen. ik heb er eerder sushi besteld, was altijd okay, maar vandaag was het bijzonder slecht. Vis was niet vers, sushi was te zout, avocado nog lang niet rijp, tempura vet en koud, en er ontbraken een paar dingen van de bestelling. Ze zoude deze nabrengen, maar ik heb niets ontvangen.
