My experience at Miyagi & Jones was a mix of impressive ambiance and some notable limitations in the menu. One of the first challenges was having to decide right at the beginning whether to go for à la carte or the set menu. This felt a bit restrictive, especially for those who like to keep their options open. When it comes to the menu itself, the selection left something to be desired. If you enjoy spicy food, you’ll be well taken care of here. However, for those who can’t handle spice or have allergies, the choices are extremely limited. For example, when I asked if they offered plain rice, the answer was a clear “No, we only have kimchi rice,” which again highlights the lack of non-spicy alternatives. On the positive side, the atmosphere is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. The food is presented in a visually appealing way and tastes good as well. Overall, Miyagi & Jones feels more like an experience than a traditional restaurant. If you’re looking to have a great time in a lovely setting, this is the place for you. Just be aware of the spicy menu and limited options if you have dietary restrictions.

I ordered a ‘spicy Thai beef’ but the ingredients that should be in it (as stated on thuisbezorgd) did not match what I got. And on top of that it was not tasty at all. The meat tastes very cheap and I could hardly eat it and there were blocks of rice in it.

Honestly little disappointing experience. Food has a all-you-can-eat vibe with authentic flavors missing. A lot of dishes are ‘pre-cooked’ and miss deep flavor with just sauces added on the dishes. Salmon sushi contained shrimp, when we asked the staff about it they first said it was crab (?) but later they said it was flambé salmon. When it looks like a shrimp, it smells like a shrimp and it tastes like a shrimp, it probably is a shrimp… Anyway we didn’t make a big deal out of it as the sushi was quite disappointing all together. Had high expectations due to the good ratings but unfortunately fell short of it.

In itself a nice restaurant in a beautiful location. But the 3-course menu of almost 42 euros per person is a bit disappointing. The dishes arrive at the same time per round, so if you take two hot snacks they quickly become lukewarm again and they are not very big. There is also a lot of sauce, which dominates the taste. In terms of price quite expensive.

Good food and fast service. Too bad they don't understand Dutch.

Very disappointing sushi experience. All types of sushi have lots of sauce on them already which takes away from the experience of tasting the sushi itself. The other dishes we ordered were average. The dessert and the friendly waiters were the only good things

We had the 3-gangen menu, which is more worth the price than al a carte. The food was nice, some dishes were hits, such as the tempura mushrooms and the beef curry, others were misses, such as the sushi with too much mayo and the lamb with a very unappetising sauce on it. The mango macaron dessert was good. The pandan cocktail had a very delicious pandan aftertaste, but too much lime, which made it more of a sour instead of a daiquiri. Overall fun experience to have dinner with friends.

Nice, nice service. Almost all dishes are really too salty. The idea is shared dining (of course not mandatory), but almost all dishes consist of odd numbers...

What a nice tent! We had a very nice evening beyond expectations. Tasty snacks and affordable. Smooth service and the restaurant is nicely decorated inside.

My expectations were higher. First impressions were good: nice staff, nice decor, and the food was okay. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio doesn't fit. The Homemade Iced Tea – Pure Passion tasted like sugar syrup with ice – artificial and over-sweetened. A canned beer for €6.85 is also questionable. What particularly bothered me was that the sauces for the dishes were obviously not homemade. As I left the restaurant I could see that the original bottles of the sauces were on the shelf in the kitchen, ready to hand. This confirms my impression that they rely on finished products here. It was similar with the sushi: you literally had to look for the fish in the roll. Visually it looked very futuristic, but in terms of taste it didn't have much in common with sushi. That might be okay for some, but not for me.

Looks like the quality of food has decreased, and the cost increased. Been frequenting this place since 3 years.

Truly a fantastic place! The atmosphere is so cozy, and the servers are very professional, kind, and attentive. There is a wide variety of drinks and food, everybody can find something to their taste; and the food is delicious (the cocktails as well)! A huge compliment to the servers and the kitchen staff, will definitely be coming back :)

Both fun as a couple or in a group and something to eat for everyone. They are also very good with allergens. The service is very good. English is spoken, but that is not a problem for us. Not what it used to be a few years ago. Quite pricey, all 4 dishes were on the table within 5 minutes (which was not enough) so after half an hour we were done again. Hardly any Dutch speaking staff. And the taste was okay, a six. For me the last time I ate here. It was not a nice cozy evening out for which we had set aside 1.5 hours. Fortunately the musical Moulin Rouge made up for that.

I placed an order for almost 100 euros via Uber Eats before 5 p.m. A delivery person was added twice and after almost an hour and a half our order was canceled by the restaurant...??? Not available by phone: ridiculous!!!!!

Food quality is very tasty, but portions should be a little larger. Service underground! We were assigned a table, then we were ignored for 45 minutes until we requested a service person. Only then was the tablet ordering process explained to us (there was no tablet on our table). 4 meals for 2 people arrived extremely late, and the waitress sometimes assigned the dishes incorrectly. After dinner, ignorance again until we noticed ourselves. Service staff seem haphazard, slow and sluggish. Tables are not cleared.

Parking garage around the corner. Prime location and cozy building. Employees were very friendly and the food was really great! Had a wonderful Christmas Eve 👌And declared allergies during the online reservation and this was really taken seriously. Top!

It was a very good restaurant with delicious foods and cocktails. There were 2 problems. 1- Orders should be made with a tablet and we had only 2 tablets for 10 people. It took too long time so not enough time to see whole menu. 2- Most of the starters has been served at the end and we couldn’t finish them. I hope they add one tablet at least for a couple. I will go again

Was a bit disappointing unfortunately. Nice atmosphere, service is generally excellent but sometimes a bit chaotic and not always quick and attentive when clearing the table. But the disappointment was mainly the food: you pay a high price, but the difference in quality and especially quantity of the dishes is enormous. Especially if you eat vegetarian, you will get a pretty bad deal here: in the menu you can choose 2x2 dishes, but as a vegetarian dish you will get, for example, one slice of fried eggplant, while your carnivorous table companion will get a mountain of fried chicken with sometimes bread or prawn crackers as well. gets. Many meat dishes were also not seasoned at all, or the sauces were somewhat mediocre. Lemon chicken and dumplings had clearly been in the kitchen for a while, because they were quite 'soggy'. Sometimes the food came suspiciously quickly after ordering, so I think not everything is freshly prepared per order. We didn't really like desserts, they tasted a bit chemical (we had the macaron and the cheesecake). I ate here a few years ago and was much more enthusiastic then, but now I wouldn't recommend eating here.

Food doesn't taste great. Price way too high for the quality. Nachos very sparse and meat has little taste. The salmon sushi has crab sticks with mayonnaise as a topping, not really tasty. All in all, not recommended for the fairly high price. For this money you would be better off going to Ponzu or Anan.

Very tasty meal! 2x2 dishes per person and a large dessert. Recommended to come with at least four people, so you can taste many more different things! It is quite pricey.

Very nice tent, all English-speaking staff. Lots of choice in the various cards, which makes it somewhat confusing. Delicious food.

Bad service. Not customer friendly. Advertising with a promotion that is not there at all. We waited for almost an hour for a spot outside in the cold. After we were finally assigned a place inside and we referred to the promotion, we were told that the promotion was valid in the summer. I saw the promotion 3 times on social media the same day.

Nicely decorated and excellent food. Only the reception, staff and speed of serving requires attention. In addition, the toilets were an all you can eat of germs. So still 4 stars, but that is due to the beautiful decor and excellent food.

Delicious food and lovely staff! It is first explained well and then you get the iPad. Something different than an all you can eat but you can order more than enough! Very tasty Japanese food!

Very impersonal! The way of working is presented almost robotically at the table and you can then order everything with an iPad. Food was good, but many dishes came from the fryer. Not very healthy, but tasty :-). I found the explanation of the dishes (particularly the sushi) on the iPad very limited. Delicious cocktails! If you are in a hurry, this is a great place, but not for an evening of pleasant dining.

Really good and tasty food in a nice restaurant! Recommended to order a lot and taste a lot with company. Delicious food. It's a shame that you have to order via tablet, it still feels impersonal. And in my opinion, the service was a bit too busy with a pitch for upsales.

To start with: surprisingly delicious food, so close to the Jaarbeurs. Asian fusion with Japanese and Korean influences, among others. Well-made, beautifully presented dishes for sharing. The service was fast, friendly and attentive, nothing to complain about. I have no problem with it, but speaking English with the staff is becoming increasingly common and is not necessarily an advantage. It will be difficult to find staff and I can hardly complain about a fast, nice, English-speaking waiter. It's a shame that the restaurant is now located in a corner between flats under construction. Temporary, but not ideal. The tablets to order also do not contribute to the atmosphere for me. For me, choosing efficiency over traditional service is not the essence of a human profession such as catering. But okay, ordering and serving was (almost always) super fast. Still one star less for atmosphere, also due to the current location. That could easily improve once those fences are removed. We will be back!

Very nice and practical space, the salmon could have been better .. it was a very simple dish for it's price. The beef was very good and the desserts also great. The staff were friendly and kind.

I ordered a Louisiana fries and parmezaan It was so little on only one side of the fries. So I only ate 3 fries that had parmesan on it. The rest had non. The fries kost 8.5 euro I would expect that they would pay attention on how it's presented. Their deep fried sushi is extremely oily and does not taste fresh. The other Sushi was also not good. Don't come here when you want quality food that will amaze your taste buttons cause it just don't!... This place has no quality food.. I was deceived by the pictures... But the athmosfeer is beautiful and the staff are very polite

Delicious asian fusion streetfood style dishes. Can be quite noisy and some of the staff were pretty loud greeting their acquaintances. Overall I’d still recommend for a nice (noisy) dinner.

Never eat here if you have an allergy!! I have a pepper allergy and have reported this several times. Once I had the food I tasted pepper. I had two bites. I then stopped eating due to my own alertness and reported this to the waiter. They went to get their story and it turned out that there was just pepper in it! Immediately my throat swelled and I felt unwell. What did I receive as compensation? My two colas were taken off the bill. I was super angry and felt increasingly worse, after which, after a lot of nagging, they finally took one bottle of wine off the bill (which I hadn't even drunk). In addition, no understanding was shown at all! Felt like shit all evening and will never come back here again! Please be aware if you are allergic and you are going to eat here!

We have been to Miyagi & Jones many times and it never dissapoints. The food was delicious (especially the thai beef and the peking duck crepes). Also the cocktails were outstanding. I look forward to come again soon

The quality and appearance of the food is not much to offer. You can't call sushi sushi. They are balls of rice with lots of sauce and vegetables. All sushi tastes the same. Very good service and handling. Atmosphere is good

The food is very tasty and flavorful, and the portions are good. We opted for the three-course menu. The service could be better: the new courses are served while the table is still full of empty plates. This is a shame and can certainly be improved. I will definitely come again.

Good food, the menu has been the same for a long time, but I sometimes miss some variation. They have super tasty cocktails and gin and tonics. Service is fast and ordering via the iPad is also fast. Staff mostly speak English.

The food isn’t anything special. The photos on the iPad where you order the dishes are unfortunately not updated, so what you order might look different from the pictures. If you order a cocktail, it can take longer to arrive than the food, meaning you’ll start eating before your drink arrives. I was almost finished with my meal when my cocktail finally came. The sushi is not amazing, with too many sauces that mask the taste of the fresh fish. The service is neither terrible nor incredible—they often spill your drink while serving and are not very careful with the plates. The only positive aspect is the environment, which is quite nice.

A very nice place to get a wilde combination of dishes! Everything I ordered tasted very good! The only thing with such a big menu it’s a pity they don’t offer a wider range of vegan options.

3.5 stars. The flavors are in order, but there are many frying options and a lot of salt. The dishes taste great, but for what you get, they are just on the pricey side. Myagi & Jones from 3 years ago was a lot more refined. You can now clearly see that it is a well-oiled restaurant where volume and shifts are the focus. Nevertheless, a great place for a quick and informal bite to eat

Enjoyed my dinner here. Very nice, cosy establishment. I had the combi menu which gave enough rounds to be satisfied. The food was nicely made up and server with care, ordered by tablet. Kind English/ Dutch speaking service.

We came here on the back of a recommendation from our hotel (The Nox) who give you a list of staff hot spots when you check in and because we both love Asian food. After our waitress talked us through how to order using the tablet and talked the various options we decided to go for the set menu - 2 rounds of 4 courses and a choice at the end of dessert (which we opted for) or a couple Of other choices. It was incredible value for money at €40 a head and saved us at least €20 if we’d gone a la carte. We had some absolute stunning food including loaded fries, calamari, prawns, gyoza, karaage chicken, lemon chicken but the stand out dishes were the Beijing bavette and sesame salsa roast beef. The mango macaron was light and refreshing. Lemon tartlet was nice but not on a par with the macaron. Sensibly priced drinks compared to everywhere else we’d been priced drand husband swears the virgin pornstar martinis were as good as the real thing. We found the service really friendly and attentive despite the fact the restaurant relies on tablets for ordering. It’s a really unique venue and experience.

Well, was not the best experience, the host was in a hurry explaining so fast and tough , then the sushi rolls test the same all of them, because the amount of sweet sauce on the tops was to much, the sushi was almost a dessert! the plates are really small, almost like kids menu, the waiter was a super nice guy with good manners, patient and well educated, the environment average with minimal tables like almost impossible to serve the food there, almost a Fisher price table for kids. Oh! The information about the ingredients on the cart is not clear, many vegans can eat fish because the cart. Was not the best experience. The ice cream cake was super delicious.

I was yesterday there, everything good but there is something extremely important, the allergies information! You can check into the system the ingredients of the rolls, I asked for one combo 3 meat rolls and 3 salmon rolls, I check the menu said: " ingredients: salmon" I ordered and that roll had shrimp's! When we made the reservation we said my allergies, but no one employee asked anything about it. Please be more careful about it, seafood and peanuts always have to be clearly informed in the menu because can cost a life, literally.

Had a good meal in this nice restaurant with quick service. The menu consists of various small dishes, such as sushi and Peking duck. The only downside is that the tables are quite close together.

Had dinner here on Friday March 15 with a group of 4 people. We reserved this before the start of the theater visit. We were not familiar with the restaurant and did not know what to expect. Upon entering we found the atmosphere intimate and pleasant and the choice at the start of the dinner for the a la carte or a dinner with 3 rounds was a nice surprise. Every round we could order 2 dishes from the menu. With 4 people this resulted in 8 dishes at a time. Each dish was enough for 4 people to taste the same. We ordered 8 different dishes and I must say that everything was actually tasty and nicely served. The three-course menu cost approximately €40, but considering the quality, it was definitely worth it. Highly recommended and within walking distance of the Beatrix Theater

We kwamen op een rustige avond, met kinderen. We konden maar 45 min blijven en werden achterin geplaatst, de rest van de mensen zat voorin. Geen duidelijke vermelding van allergenen op de kaart. We hadden totaal niet het gevoel dat we gewenst waren, geen gastvrijheid. Daarnaast ook nog eens ontzettend duur. Jammer.

The quality of the food has dropped significantly compared to let’s say 2 years ago, while the price went up. Last time we were here, most of the warm dishes were served lukewarm, many flavor combinations were questionable. It’s just not worth it anymore 🥲

The place is very good, the waiters are attentive, although. The service is a little slow. It is designed to order a menu in which you can order 3 rounds and has a fixed price. The portions are neither as small as a tapa, nor as large as an individual plate, they are fine. Designed to share in the center of the table. We really liked that they have a little book where they specify if you can eat or not depending on allergies or if you are pregnant… The food is good, not like 40 per head which is what we went out for. Alright

Very good fusion cuisine. Great selection of dishes, some vegetarian. Ordering is done using a tablet at the table. The service, when at the table, was very friendly. Quality of service was not good, the table is not cleared, it is very messy, uncomfortable and above all overcrowded at the table. We no longer liked the concept of so many dishes in the group of nine people; there were far too many and the empty plates were not cleared away, even after repeated requests. Everyone has a bad day, I wouldn't come again. Toilets in the basement, only accessible via stairs.

Excellent food and service. We had the three course meal and a movie deal (Choose 5 items from the menu per person including desert). Large portions and plenty of choice!
