The noodle soups was small in terms of portions.

Came here twice, the first one the chicken pancake's sauce was tasty, but the second one hella salty, and we got heartburn afterwards. Their bao was tasty, personally it's tad bit too expensive for the size and the fillings. Also quite surprised that they asked for tip on their EDC machine when we pay with our card, other cafe we visited didn't have that option, this is not US and i feel somewhat mixed being asked for tip in Europe

Second time been in this place. Food is superb. Very authentic Taiwanese flavor! Milktea is awesome and please do try if you are not a huge fan of too much suger. Will come next time!

I love Jen’s Bing’s boba drinks. They’re always very creative and well made! I’d suggest the espresso brown sugar bubble milk and creme brulee milk tea (with less sugar though)

We ordered pork noodles, braised pork rice, and gua bao (steamed buns). As a Taiwanese person, I must say the food was very authentic and tasted fantastic! The gua bao had perfectly balanced lean and fatty pork—super delicious! However, the waitress (a girl with a dragon tattoo on her back) was very rude. She practically threw the food away when serving it… Her attitude towards Europeans and Asians was also very different when it came time to pay. European customers would ask, "Is everything okay?" and leave with a "Have a good day!" When it was our turn to pay, because my friend and I decided to pay separately, she asked me, "Braised pork rice?" I said, "No, it's gua bao." She said dismissively, "Then call your friend to pay." There was no polite communication or inquiry during the food service and payment process. This was the first time I'd encountered such an attitude from a restaurant staff member abroad. I came to try Taiwanese food with a Japanese friend and a Taiwanese friend, and the staff's attitude was truly awful… One star is the unanimous rating from all three of us. It completely ruined our dining experience. Please, restaurant, address this issue! :)

Oh no… this meal cost €23.95! First of all, the presentation was terrible…! The rice was cold and dry… The meat was too juicy and salty, and all the side dishes were overly flavorful. I thought a bubble tea would solve everything! One sip, and it was practically water… The only redeeming quality was the tapioca pearls… In conclusion: I will never come here again! I mean it!!!

As a Taiwanese in Amsterdam I came here every week. This is one of the few authentic Taiwanese restaurants throughout the NL.

Phenomenal Boba. I would say it’s the most authentic and best in town. Also the Egg Pancakes are the best as well as the popcorn fried chicken. Was definitely a taste of home from Taiwan. 🇹🇼 Will always come back for more!

One of our favorite restaurants in Amsterdam, amazing food, such as basil mushroom pancakes, Taiwanese spicy glazed chicken, oh so good! And the drinks are super good as well! Try the creme brulee tee!

Came here twice during a 1 week trip in Amsterdam. The first was because we were craving Asian flavors after being without for 3 weeks. Had gua bao (pork belly and veg)a rice bowl, and a soy milk drink the first time. Service was good. Food was not bad. Flavors were all there. My husband didn’t really enjoy the rice bowl. I enjoyed the baos though! The 2nd time - service was worse. No pork belly at all (so no bao that I was craving). Which was okay. I ordered something else and a matcha latte. The matcha latte and the service I got after was terrible. I told the waitress that the matcha latte just taste like milk, no matcha. She had a confused irritated look on her face and was like really? It’s like she didn’t believe me and my taste. She then was like we usually don’t do anything because it’s powder so we can’t fix it? And that was weird because usually you just add more powder no? She decided to fix it for me and said more powder and milk was added. Unfortunately, it tasted the same - only like milk. I would’ve been fine if she was at least apologetic. I looked at past pictures of matcha latte here and it looks nothing like what I got. You can see from the photo that it’s a very light green - just by looking at it, I can tell it will be bland.

A super cute cafe near the uva campus , really friendly staff and quick service. I had a wintermelon lemonade with boba and it was delish !

Cute, cozy spot for Taiwanese comfort food and bubble teas. I liked the little tables and chairs, the simple and minimalist plate wear the food was served on, and the cat logo of course 😸 I had the braised pork noodles with a side of chili crisp oil and marinated egg. It was tasty and easy. Egg was perfectly cooked. I also had the classic scallion pancake. Wasn’t too impressed with that one … would’ve preferred it to be more crispy, as it was more on the soft/soggy side. Would’ve really loved to have a bowl of Taiwanese beef noodle soup - but there weren’t any soup options at the time. Easy to order, just sit down anywhere and scan the QR code to place the order. Merch was cute, too. I picked up two retro postcards and two cat stickers.

Delicious and great quick service

The salad we had was very fresh and tasty. The iced tea was also delicious. The atmosphere is bright and nice. There is limited seating, especially for larger groups. The staff was helpful and friendly.

I simply love this place! Different variety of drinks, and with the tapas style dishes you can try different things. Very tasty flavours and simplicity at the same time. Such a comfort food. This is my new go to :-)

Such a comfort spot, I tried their crispy Bing at the other location and it was soo amazing. The bubble tea also tastes good here and they make real Matcha boba here, not the plastic bottle stuff. Staff is really sweet as well!

I've been wanting to eat here for a while, and since I happened to be nearby, I decided to stop by one afternoon. Everything was perfect, including the table, cutlery, and chopsticks. You can tell they've tried to cater to European tastes while still maintaining many of the best Taiwanese flavors! The braised pork in the gua bao is excellent, and the egg pancakes are delicious too!

As a Taiwanese I got totally offended The food doesn’t even match the picture on the menu And it’s hella expensive

The braised pork rice was delicious, but the bok choy was cold. The scallion pancakes were delicious on their own, but the kimchi didn't go well with them. The fried chicken had a Taiwanese flavor.

What a Saddy liberal environment here. Besides that I asked for fried chicken and got braised pork. Food was cold and the meal was about €20.

highly recommend the scallion omelette classic (i think this was what it was called on the menu). it was soooo yummy! the textures were amazing and the sauce was a perfect pairing! the boba was also really yummy, but there were a lot of tapioca pearls (perfect if you enjoy that though). my friend had the chicken bao that she enjoyed lots, the bun was a perfect balance of soft and firm!!

A large portion of braised pork rice and fried chicken!!! Absolutely delicious! The large portion of braised pork rice was so huge that I felt like I couldn't finish it, but I ended up finishing it all! I saw satay noodles on the menu and am planning to try them tonight! Fried chicken, I love you, braised pork rice, I love you.

Cozy little place but the food was a bit lacking. No bad, but a bit bland and not inspiring. Ordering and paying on the phone was convenient.

The food was so good. Cosy and quiet. Drinks were also 10/10. Could’ve stayed and had so much more. Definitely the best food we had whilst in Amsterdam.

She let me try some of the toppings, as I was unsure of what to put. They were extremely nice, and honest on if they could make it with or without the restriction. (Ok edit. I wrote this halfway through getting my boba tea, and I just had an amazing conversation with Lisa about would-you-rather questions, and The Rookie, and Squid Game. This was one of the best interactions I have had my entire trip. Even if you aren't gonna get something, head over there just to have a chat. 😊😊😊😊😊

Authentic Taiwanese. I ate here for the first time yesterday (it's been on my mind for a long time) and I highly recommend it. The Sha Cha Braised Pork Noodles were delicious, as was the Creme Brulee Milk Tea. The staff was very friendly, and the food and drinks arrived fairly quickly. I'll definitely be back.

Great little place in Oost. We had a great boba tea and coffee, but it was the food that surprised us the most (positively ☺️). We got super crunchy chicken (pancake) and tender pork (noodles), and in general everything was full of flavour. Portions were perfect for an early lunch and well priced. Service was super friendly and quick as well, nothing to fault.. really shocked this place doesn’t have a higher rating! We will definitely be coming back.

Loved Jen’s Café in Amsterdam! Tried the cream bubble tea, and it was so delicious that I had to get another one with extra boba – both were amazing. The girl from Japan who made our drinks was super friendly and kind. The atmosphere was also very cozy and appealing. Highly recommend for bubble tea lovers!

The fried chicken and milk tea are pretty good. The only drawback is that the pork dishes have a lot of flavor, but the rest are still delicious!

Let me start by saying, we will come back. Mostly to try different things, but also that some elements really captivated us, while others had room for improvement. SERVICE + Ordering inside with QR-code at the table. + Nice attention in bringing the Food and Beverages and clearing the table. DECOR & ATMOSPHERE + Very nice elements. not too white. + I like the couch, upstairs, and also the wooden chairs with the very clean green metal frame. + Tables are clean, with enough space to enjoy your food, but at the same time cozy. + The posters on the wall with some food or drinks on it are quite nice. + Nice playlist put together. + The lights on the wall are smooth. +- The spotlights on the ceiling do not match with the rest of the decor in my opinion. FOOD & BEVERAGES ~Garden Veggie Scallion Pancake~ + Very tasty in the pancake area. + Fresh, crispy, yet a little airy inside. - The layer of egg inside didn't have any flavor. At least add some salt and white pepper. +- The Avocado could be a little boring. Maybe a little pinch of Ground Black Pepper would elevate it. Rating -> 4/5 ~Boiled Marinated Egg~ +- My preference would be cooked how it looks like on the picture. more silky inside. - Quite boring, but of course it is a simple side dish. Rating -> 2/5 ~Sesame Tofu~ + Perfect balance in flavors. + While I regularly do not enjoy pickled mustard greens, it was a very nice addition on the tofu. + Try to add a little Kimlan soy sauce with this, it would enhance this dish. +- I would have liked the peanuts crushed in it, but that is a personal preference. The peanuts can be a little big in the bite when you work with soft food like this. Rating -> 5/5 ~Lu Rou Fan~ + The flavor is spot-on. - The pork was slightly cold. - The rice was overcooked. +- Personal preference would be that the pork was braised longer. A little softer would be nice and a little more sauce, thickened would elevate this dish. +- 1 leaf of Pak Choy to give some color in the bowl is kind of mweh. Rating -> 2/5 ~Mango Almond Pudding~ + The flavor is silky, well balanced and very light to enjoy after a meal. + The almond flavor is almost not there, so even for people that do not enjoy almonds, this would be a very nice finish to a pleasant meal. Rating -> 5/5 ~Oolong Tea Fluffy Cheesecake~ This cheesecake is a baked cheesecake. + The Oolong Tea flavor comes across very light. - The heaviness of the cream cheese can be too much on the front. - It is not fluffy, but very layered, almost like the idea of eating 'Spekkoek'. Rating -> 3/5 We also had the Brown Sugar Boba Milk and the Tie Guan Yin Oolong Bubble Tea. These were both a 5/5. Very well balanced, we liked it that you really can enjoy the Brown Sugar without the heavy amounts of Fructose, like in many stores. All with all a nice experience. We would come back for sure to try new things. Thank you for having us.

Really good and authentic Taiwanese food

The Taiwanese-style objects and decorations, along with Taiwanese-style food, give you a strong sense of being in a foreign place. The portions are generous and the taste is authentic. Please don't judge it by the Taiwanese price. This is a very good deal in the Netherlands. It's a very impressive meal.

Mediocre. Cold pancakes. Bland flavours. Overpriced. Awkward impersonal ordering system via QR. Sorry just being honest. The staff were nice though and gave my dog water straight away. Saving grace was that the coffee was good. My friend liked her drink too. But felt a bit like, wasted money. Doubt I’ll ever be back.

I always take out matcha boba before i go to library, and it always taste the BEST⭐️🫶🏻 also theres this same staff who always make my matcha, she is so friendly and welcoming that even when Im not that hungry I want to buy something from jensbing🥹 deffo recommend
