A huge surprise that you wouldn't expect when driving there in the dark. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, delicious food. Beautiful dishes. Excellent acoustics.

Second time here, and both times were terrible. The first time, we waited over two hours for some sushi, and the waitress offered us a round of drinks as compensation, so we figured, "That's what happens, it was busy." The sushi wasn't great, by the way, because the rice was falling apart. It had been made too quickly, etc., the waitress explained. The second time we came for lunch, and we had a delicious salmon sandwich. It was supposed to come with a poached egg, but they forgot it twice. We politely asked for it, and it arrived quickly. Then the waiter spilled an Aperol drink on me, completely soaking my white pants. I only got a cloth to wipe it off, so I didn't have to think twice. This is a real shame, because the place is beautiful and close to home. I would have loved to eat here more often, but with this service, I'll never do it again.

Salads are great! Unfortunately, a dash of white Chardonnay is €6.75. Glass of Rosé is €5.20. Bottle of Rivella is €3.85. I think the prices are a bit excessive. I won't be going to Jovel for a while.

Pleasantly surprised by this lovely spot where you feel like you're relaxing on the terrace of a holiday resort. We were here with family and enjoyed a drink, a piece of cake, and a snack. The friendly staff is happy to help, and the interior is also surprisingly decorated. There were eight of us here.

Chill spot for lunch. The spicy chicken sandwich was tasty but not spicy. The flavor was good, though. Tip: please serve the chicken a bit warmer. The club sandwich was good!

We had our first bite to eat here. We started at a table outside, but because of the wasps, we wanted to go inside, which was fortunately possible without any problems. We ordered the chicken club sandwich, carpaccio, and the beef sushi roll. Everything was served simultaneously, and the food tasted delicious and was very fresh. The service was good; we were occasionally asked if everything was to our liking and if there was anything else we could do. I definitely recommend it and would definitely come back for dinner myself!

Nice, cozy place for a drink, but the food is absolutely inedible. We sent almost everything back. The food was raw, and the sushi tasted like dog food. Please don't eat here. For the price you pay, this is truly ridiculous.

Een bomvol terras op een mooie dag Aardig personeel maar wel echt te weinig in de spitsuren. Over het eten. Brioche met zalm. Brood oké, dik ingesmeerd (er bijna doorheen ) met pesto uit een pot. Zalm was niet oké. Niet dat het bedorven was maar wel het goedkoopste wat er te krijgen is. En dan wat flinke klodders mosterd dillesaus niet lekker. En een hard gepocheerd ei. 14,50 is niet veel. Maar ik betaal liever een paar euro meer voor wat meer kwaliteit. Heb ik het gezegd “nee” dat is nutteloos, wat moet de aardige dame dan zeggen. Sorry is er iets anders wat u wil. Nee hoor. We komen graag nog eens terug voor een drankje en een bitterbal. Maar verder geen aanrader wat ons betreft.

Altijd vriendelijk en super gezellig, komen er geregeld. Eten is heerlijk, parkeren is gratis en er is altijd plek. Echt een aanrader, ook voor jonge kinderen is er een groot grasveld met toestellen waar u ze even kunt laten rennen.

Last Tuesday I had lunch with a friend of mine. There is a kind of tattooed Alpha man in the service, he is annoyed if you do not know what you want to eat within 5 minutes of entering. Then he makes you wait extra long, because the gentleman does not appreciate that. When paying we ask for a VAT receipt, yes that is no longer possible, they have to reset the whole system etc etc difficult difficult. We did not feel like making a fuss on a half-full terrace, so we left. Once but never again at this otherwise beautiful location. From now on we will go to Capelle and Bleiswijk where just friendly people work.

Very nice and beautifully situated restaurant, nice extensive choice of dishes. Staff friendly and despite the crowds (full place) fast service. Reasonable parking. The only downside ... when the place is full the sound is so loud that you can hardly hear each other ... perhaps process some more soft items in the interior. Overall a nice place

Had lunch here with family for Mother's Day on a beautiful summer day. Cozy atmosphere outside on the terrace, tasty dishes in good portions and very friendly service. Despite the fact that it was quite busy, there was sufficient attention for us and we were helped quickly and pleasantly. Recommended!

A really nice restaurant with a terrace to have lunch or dinner on a nice summer day. The menu is extensive with special options. And the food was more than fine. We were there on a warm Sunday afternoon, reserved in advance. That might be wise.

We would like to give some feedback about our visit for lunch with you. We had a very delicious meal, location was great, service was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended to eat here again. It was tasty as always, the salmon sandwich was a little drier than normal so that was a shame. My friend had the spicy chicken and it was super tasty.

Very slow service, waited about 45 minutes for drinks. Pork tenderloin was overcooked, fries were limp and had too little mayo.

Dear Jofel, We recently celebrated a friend's 30th birthday with a large group, where her sister-in-law had arranged a surprise. We had a high tea with you before, which we were very satisfied with at the time. That is why we chose both a high wine and a high tea with a large group this time. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the high tea. According to the staff, there were no more teapots available, but since we had made this reservation well in advance, we found this unacceptable. The high wine seemed fine, but the high tea disappointed in several ways. The presentation and quality of the snacks left much to be desired: donuts and cheesecake were simply cut in half, the chocolates were barely edible and the whole thing came across as a cheap purchase prepared without care or love, and without a cake stand, which is the intention of a high tea! In the end we got trays... This was far from the experience we had expected. Apart from that, the service was super chaotic due to the sunny weather, but we don't care about that. Then it is up to you to plan better or report that it is busy, and not allow more people in. In addition, it was indicated in advance that there had to be an alcohol-free option, which was unfortunately 'forgotten'. This was extra annoying, since there was a pregnant woman in the group. No problem, but we had to report that several times. We understand that the staff works hard and does their best, but we cannot be positive about the high tea at all. This was a disappointing experience, especially compared to our previous visit for the high tea. After I had been to Jofel, the people were also not happy about high tea, given the reviews. Apparently not much is done about the feedback you receive. Emailed about this, but so far an apology. No solution. That I and others paid 30 +/- for this, it is absurd!!!!! Cozy on the terrace after a walk

We hebben een paar keer op het terras wat gegeten. Het eten was iedere keer erg lekker en vrij snel geserveerd. Bediening is vriendelijk maar soms duurt het even, zijn soms met meerdere personeelsleden met grote groepen bezig en hebben dan weinig oog voor de rest van het terras. Voor ons verder prima ervaring en gaan zeker terug.

The three stars is purely for the food. Went out for dinner with 8 people, sat down around half past 8 and almost immediately ordered a starter and main course. Then had to wait more than an hour for the starter, and then also had to wait almost an hour for the main course. I can understand that when it is busy it takes longer, but 1. no one from the staff said anything about this. 2. Apparently it was sooooo busy that every staff member was able to text his or her family, friends and/or acquaintances in full view of all customers that they were so busy. It is really ridiculous that you leave a table waiting for so long and then have uninterested staff who have the balls to quietly look at their phone, text, etc. in front of everyone. Then walk away and do it in the kitchen or where, at least you show that your customers are waiting for a 'reason'.

We were with a reasonable group of people on Friday evening. The restaurant was quite full upon arrival. We had to wait 2 hours for our starter. Then another hour for the main course and half an hour for dessert. Everything took a long time and we had to ask for everything ourselves. One lady was running wild, the other staff were more interested in each other and their phones. Even after beckoning/asking, they found their phone more important. The food was very tasty despite the long wait. Many dishes were sold out. No more Jofel next time due to the bad service.

Location is great, service is far below par. Terrace not even half full, but had to wait a long time for food and drinks. Ordered tenderloin. While serving we waited for our fries and loaded fries. They arrived fifteen minutes after the tenderloin had been delivered. As a result, I had to cancel the fries because there was no point in eating them after the tenderloin. Probably too much to ask. Waiting for my fries was also not an option, because leaving the tenderloin for fifteen minutes would cost €34. The neighbors at the table next to us also had to wait a long time for their food and also raised this with the staff. Definitely not worth 100 euros plus. Wanted to tip for the poor people who work there. But my wife told me not to do that, because the staff found it VERY inadequate

Only how can this restaurant not have eggs in house, they had to get eggs for our dish. Where does this go wrong on a Friday afternoon and it is quite busy. Waited for hours for the food. Uitsmeiter was tasty Satay dish is tasty, but ask 22 euros for 1 skewer of satay and some fries. Average satay dish in most eateries costs 12/18 euros, often with 3 skewers of satay Compensation for a long wait was fries (fresh fries) Toilet is filthy I think there is poor communication/ordering of products in the kitchen. Allergens should be included on the menu/possibilities.

Leuke plek, lekker terras. Bediening een beetje wisselend, de een is attenter dan de ander. Eten vond ik zielloos, bak salade op een bord gekwakt, voor een toch pittige prijs.

Her is een gezellig restaurant. De bediening was super. Maar wat je krijgt voor wat je betaald is ver onder de maat. Spies met drie stukjes vlees. Stukje zalm, op een verder leeg bord. Dus voor ons geen tweede keer meer.

Jofel aan de Plas biedt een heerlijke eetervaring met uitstekend eten en vriendelijke bediening. De sfeer is gezellig, perfect voor een ontspannen avondje uit. Hoewel de prijzen aan de hoge kant zijn, is de kwaliteit van het eten het zeker waard. Een klein minpuntje was de Aperol Spritz, die nauwelijks alcohol leek te bevatten. Ondanks dat was het al met al een fijne ervaring en een bezoekje waard.

The menu is fairly extensive, but unfortunately there is little choice for vegetarians, although it is there. Friendly employees. Today we went to Jofel aan de Plas and we were helped by the young man Malek. His service was excellent and he was very friendly to us. As soon as we had our drinks, he immediately came over to ask if everything was OK. The terrace was also very nice with a nice view. We really enjoyed it and Jofel aan de Plas is definitely recommended!

Always super friendly staff, keep a close eye on the guests to order or immediately clean up what you no longer need or answer your questions if you have any. We live in Vlaardingen so we come there sometimes, if you want delicious food for reasonable prices then I would say go there.

Beautiful location right on the lake. What I really like is the staff, especially Deborah, we don't come very often but she knows down to the last detail what we always order, what a memory!!! And also very customer friendly, delicious food!! Top
