A fantastic place, it really makes you happy, great concept, everything is perfect there.

Lots of choice on the menu, food and drinks were delicious, nice atmosphere, service could sometimes be a bit faster but they were very friendly

Well-prepared lunch. Welcoming and neat open space inside. Outside, a fairly spacious terrace with a view of the water. Very busy and noisy (music quite loud when the terrace is full). Reservations are recommended on weekends; good weather is advisable.

Had lunch here this afternoon. Nice, well-maintained spot by the Krabbenplas. Friendly atmosphere. Service was quick and the food tasty. Vegetarian pokebowl and spicy Asian beef sandwich (really spicy) were great. We had a delicious meal; it's worth stopping if you're cycling, but if you're driving, just take a short detour.

I only had one cup of coffee for €3.45, but it was only half-filled. When I asked the waitress, the answer was, "I don't know, I don't work behind the bar, I didn't feel like going in there again for that." I can just skip that coffee shop from now on.

Great location, neat and friendly service

Today, we had lunch at Jofel with six people for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately, one dish was served incorrectly, causing one person to have to wait while the rest were already eating. The substitute chicken dish contained pieces of different meat. When we asked what kind of meat it was, we received no clear answer and little understanding of our concerns. Additionally, after settling the bill, it turned out that a tea we had not ordered was on the bill after all. Mistakes can happen, but we found the way this was handled disappointing.

I'm not even Dutch, but I feel comfortable in this restaurant/café. It's like a franchise here, brunch-style, with a very Caribbean/urban decor. Summer is the best time to go. The staff are young, very friendly, and attentive.

Had a nice cup of coffee on the way by bike. Fast and friendly service, nice location. Unfortunately, pastries were not proactively offered.

Nice place and friendly service

The service only gets 3 stars; that's not because of the waitstaff, as that was good and friendly, but more because of the effort we had to make to leave something out of a dish.

The food is fine, but the quality is declining. Due to staff shortages, they're using younger staff—understandable, of course—but it does detract from previous experiences and the Jofele atmosphere. They certainly all try their best, but it's not what it used to be.

Beautiful location to have a drink or a bite to eat.

We have eaten here several times now and are very satisfied every time. The food is fine, the staff very friendly, and just a good atmosphere. So we love coming here. With my partner, but also with a friend, sister, and daughters. A really nice place!

Delicious! Really enjoyed it. I was coming from an appointment and it was lunchtime. So I thought, you know what, I'm going to Jofel for a nice chat. I'd never been there before, but I'd seen it mentioned often. I literally licked my fingers clean, it was that delicious! I chose a carpaccio sandwich, served on a really big plate and well-topped. I would go back there tomorrow in a heartbeat, haha. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! And the atmosphere is super cozy too.

After a day at the trade fair, we dined at Jofel aan de Plas in Vlaardingen. It was very busy around 6 pm, but the service was adequate. The kitchen was efficient; the dishes were simple yet flavorful, so there was no need to wait for them, they were on the table quickly. The minor downsides: very few vegetables with the dishes. Consequently, it was relatively pricey. The plus points: both the meat and fish portions were very generous. In short, if we are in the area again, we would gladly dine there again.

The food was delicious in terms of presentation, quantity, and taste. However, the restroom needs a bit more attention. A large round toilet roll next to the holder, and a bottle of bleach at child height. The trash can for putting paper towels in after washing hands was super small, so everything ended up lying next to it 🤔

What amazing service! Last year, I was sitting on the terrace here and had to wait 30 minutes for a beer. Now I see staff busy everywhere: bringing high chairs, looking after dogs, and simply asking how I'm doing upon arrival. Honestly, I was a bit surprised by that, but in a positive way. The service has become so good that even before I finished my drink, someone came to ask if I wanted another round. I really see a huge improvement and hope it stays this way. Thanks for the great atmosphere you create here. You're the best!

A great place for a relaxing picnic and a break from the city. I recommend it.

We had been walking outside and wanted something cold to drink. I asked if they had iced coffee. They did, and what did I get? A cup of coffee ice cream from a soft-serve ice cream machine. I said that isn't iced coffee, and she said, "Oh yes, this is our iced coffee." I've never seen anything like it. Selling soft-serve ice cream as iced coffee for €6.80!

Friendly staff, extensive menu with a beautiful location

We had lunch here and enjoyed it. Tasty sandwiches, friendly staff, a nice spot under the big parasol, and beautiful weather—everything was perfect.

A lovely, affordable location for lunch or dinner.

We have eaten there several times, mostly dinner and once for lunch. The renovated interior looks fresh and cozy. The food is still good. Another time, we sat outside with a nice view. You do have to look around a bit to find it if you aren't familiar with the area. Fortunately, we have navigation these days.

We went to eat at Jofel again after a long time, this time with a small group, and it was just great again. The food, the service, the atmosphere—it is simply good. And that's despite it being completely full. So making a reservation is definitely recommended. A small point of attention: We had reserved for 9 but ended up being 10, and we found the table arrangement a bit impractical with 2 chairs at the head of the double tables. Even with 9 people, I don't always find that convenient because it saves space on the table and you sometimes have to juggle the plates or glasses. An extra seat is often impractical.

DONT COME. Food was nice, but there is a 50-60 blonde short hair human who is racist, shouting and treeting me on the worst possible way I’ve ever experienced just because I’m Italian. Try to ask her kindly if there is a problem, but she looked at me with furious eyes and literally told me to just go. Can’t imagen how would someone from outside Europe would be treated. Be careful guys, please do. Take care and be safe. For the owner: do something about this woman, please.

Had a fine dinner. The quality is okay, but nothing special. Simple menu featuring satay, spare ribs, steak, and schnitzels, among other things. The schnitzel comes from the deep fryer, which is a shame. The wine is expensive.

Worth repeating. The place is located in a polder and is poorly lit.

They have been renovated, new equipment, chairs; the exterior looks neat. The menu is still the same, but I think it has been improved, made more perfect. Service still varies, but there are permanent employees who are very nice, really knowledgeable about everything, and the new ones, or some of them, could be a bit more cheerful. In my opinion, it seems that there is no fixed table service for the employees. Everyone walks around and doesn't have assigned tables, but they all have a good understanding of the dish coming up. Good explanation of the high wine too, a good combination. In the past, you had to wait quite a long time for everything, but that has changed significantly for the better. Now the municipality is only allowed to prepare the lake for swimming for the summer, so that they can attract more customers. They deserve that.

What a lovely place to sit. I had lunch and had a delicious club sandwich. €15, but definitely worth the money. They had a lot of choices, I will definitely come back here!

Nice place, too bad about the loud music inside, that could be turned down a bit. What is served is not bad, but neither is it outstanding or a surprise.

We are vegetarian, and this is a great place to go for unique dishes. The veggie risotto, the veggie pancakes, and the veggie poke bowl are really excellent. Good chef, very attentive and extremely friendly staff, and a location outside the city and along a lake. Highly recommended!

I have been coming to this Jofel for years, and it is always cozy here, with delicious food. The staff is friendly and helpful; you can sit inside or on the terrace (which was recently renovated and is a nice improvement with lovely lounge sofas!). The interior is also nicely decorated. The food here is good, and they have an extensive menu. There are options for vegetarians too. The photo shows the salmon sandwich, which was tasty!

Ordered a homemade meatball sandwich, but it was anything but homemade; the first time it was cold and the second time nice and hot. At least the microwave worked well. This meatball came straight from the factory and the gravy from a packet; actually shameless, especially considering the price of €11.00 for a meatball sandwich. If it had been truly homemade and tasty, it would have been a good price, but as it is, it isn't. A REAL SHAME

Second time here, and both times were terrible. The first time, we waited over two hours for some sushi, and the waitress offered us a round of drinks as compensation, so we figured, "That's what happens, it was busy." The sushi wasn't great, by the way, because the rice was falling apart. It had been made too quickly, etc., the waitress explained. The second time we came for lunch, and we had a delicious salmon sandwich. It was supposed to come with a poached egg, but they forgot it twice. We politely asked for it, and it arrived quickly. Then the waiter spilled an Aperol drink on me, completely soaking my white pants. I only got a cloth to wipe it off, so I didn't have to think twice. This is a real shame, because the place is beautiful and close to home. I would have loved to eat here more often, but with this service, I'll never do it again.

Salads are great! Unfortunately, a dash of white Chardonnay is €6.75. Glass of Rosé is €5.20. Bottle of Rivella is €3.85. I think the prices are a bit excessive. I won't be going to Jovel for a while.

Pleasantly surprised by this lovely spot where you feel like you're relaxing on the terrace of a holiday resort. We were here with family and enjoyed a drink, a piece of cake, and a snack. The friendly staff is happy to help, and the interior is also surprisingly decorated. There were eight of us here.

Chill spot for lunch. The spicy chicken sandwich was tasty but not spicy. The flavor was good, though. Tip: please serve the chicken a bit warmer. The club sandwich was good!

We had our first bite to eat here. We started at a table outside, but because of the wasps, we wanted to go inside, which was fortunately possible without any problems. We ordered the chicken club sandwich, carpaccio, and the beef sushi roll. Everything was served simultaneously, and the food tasted delicious and was very fresh. The service was good; we were occasionally asked if everything was to our liking and if there was anything else we could do. I definitely recommend it and would definitely come back for dinner myself!

It was just very tasty...the service was very good, very fast...and the atmosphere was good...but that also depends a bit on you...but honestly all in all...super tasty and fun

Nice, cozy place for a drink, but the food is absolutely inedible. We sent almost everything back. The food was raw, and the sushi tasted like dog food. Please don't eat here. For the price you pay, this is truly ridiculous.

Een bomvol terras op een mooie dag Aardig personeel maar wel echt te weinig in de spitsuren. Over het eten. Brioche met zalm. Brood oké, dik ingesmeerd (er bijna doorheen ) met pesto uit een pot. Zalm was niet oké. Niet dat het bedorven was maar wel het goedkoopste wat er te krijgen is. En dan wat flinke klodders mosterd dillesaus niet lekker. En een hard gepocheerd ei. 14,50 is niet veel. Maar ik betaal liever een paar euro meer voor wat meer kwaliteit. Heb ik het gezegd “nee” dat is nutteloos, wat moet de aardige dame dan zeggen. Sorry is er iets anders wat u wil. Nee hoor. We komen graag nog eens terug voor een drankje en een bitterbal. Maar verder geen aanrader wat ons betreft.

A truly top restaurant in the beautiful countryside at the Plas?

Altijd vriendelijk en super gezellig, komen er geregeld. Eten is heerlijk, parkeren is gratis en er is altijd plek. Echt een aanrader, ook voor jonge kinderen is er een groot grasveld met toestellen waar u ze even kunt laten rennen.

Last Tuesday I had lunch with a friend of mine. There is a kind of tattooed Alpha man in the service, he is annoyed if you do not know what you want to eat within 5 minutes of entering. Then he makes you wait extra long, because the gentleman does not appreciate that. When paying we ask for a VAT receipt, yes that is no longer possible, they have to reset the whole system etc etc difficult difficult. We did not feel like making a fuss on a half-full terrace, so we left. Once but never again at this otherwise beautiful location. From now on we will go to Capelle and Bleiswijk where just friendly people work.

Very nice and beautifully situated restaurant, nice extensive choice of dishes. Staff friendly and despite the crowds (full place) fast service. Reasonable parking. The only downside ... when the place is full the sound is so loud that you can hardly hear each other ... perhaps process some more soft items in the interior. Overall a nice place

Had lunch here with family for Mother's Day on a beautiful summer day. Cozy atmosphere outside on the terrace, tasty dishes in good portions and very friendly service. Despite the fact that it was quite busy, there was sufficient attention for us and we were helped quickly and pleasantly. Recommended!

A really nice restaurant with a terrace to have lunch or dinner on a nice summer day. The menu is extensive with special options. And the food was more than fine. We were there on a warm Sunday afternoon, reserved in advance. That might be wise.

We would like to give some feedback about our visit for lunch with you. We had a very delicious meal, location was great, service was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended to eat here again. It was tasty as always, the salmon sandwich was a little drier than normal so that was a shame. My friend had the spicy chicken and it was super tasty.

The service was excellent, a few minutes during the meal... It was a pity that there were chicken remains on the plate with the ice cream

What a wonderful place, both outside and inside it is TOP! The service is friendly and interested...the food we have had the last 4 times we have been there is truly a PLEASURE for your taste buds and with the right glass of wine you simply feel like King of the Kingdom in your own city! In short, I wish Jofel aan de plas a very good year and come and taste all the goodies on the menu! It's REALLY worth it. See you again soon.....
